  • We'll probably get some trickster changes as it's the second mid-chapter since his release.

Other then that probably some small perk changes.

  • Restricting players for little to no reason is rarely a good idea.

Forcing survivors to pick one of their perks causes so many issues while fixing none

Technically That's still Frank, I thought maybe you could pick out 2 cosmetics (each a different member) and then you swap between those two rather than all four of them

Frank with all the members inside him. There is no one to swap to anymore.

At the end they became a singular killer

  • Because of those sweet tentacle sounds

Its not just keys. That was just the example used as it is the most problematic item, and rightfully so. I’d rather not have them at all, unless its by chance and luck and found in a chest or something. I see a lot of killers get upset over any item honestly, thats why the thought cloud came up about not seeing the items, and wanting to get others opinions on it.

i try dodge as a survivor as well once it comes to keys, and fear the one person whose gonna do the last minute change.

Well once keys are gone i wouldn't mind not seeing items anymore.

Would be a bit of a unneccecary nerf to lightborn but i guess survivors aren't sure of their calm spirit value too when they equip it so seems fair

  • the_legion__chimeric_horde___by_kabalstein_de7vmjf-fullview.png

How would that work with this cosmetic?

    They aren't multiple members anymore

  • I think it's indeed a balancing decision that the killer can see items to prepare themself.

And as long as keys are around this shouldn't change.

Also seems that the entire reason for this post related to how killers react to keys. Wouldn't it be better to tone down keys then instead of hiding it from the killer

Personally if someone brings a key i dodge. Even when playing survivor. At least as survivor i can ask them to remove it before i go. But I'm not playing a game that will suddenly end prematurelly

  • They are a zoning and information tool. They need to be able to hit survivors to do their zoning job but if you expect them to hit survivors your going to be disapointed a lot.

As far as information goes they are very good if RNG dependant.

Zombie with arms stretched out? A survivor was where he is looking.

Zombie standing around a gen not doing anything? No survivors there patrol the other gens.

They aren't bad but you need to have seen them from the survivors point of view to know this. Having a 90% gen and not being to work on it cause a zombie was hanging around it has won several nemesis players i went against the game

  • To be fair, it is a killer perk for everybody.

Not that survivors would get much use out it anyway

  • Don't be afraid to use your power on a injured survivor. Especially if they are in a strong spot.

They can waste time mending while you find a weaker/closer to death target

  • @SMitchell8 said:

I haven't used it nor do I plan too, but unless you're running Corrupt, its so easy to find survivors early. Discordance and failed skill checks for a start

    It isn't about finding survivors.

It's about finding the right ones.

The difference between chasing the first survivor you see and starting a chase in a cluster of 2-3 survivors is huge in terms of pressure

  • @LilCrapper said:

    You are complaining about zombies?!?!?

Lets start with..... ANY GAME that uses AI is always easily beatable; because AI are predicable, are set for certain routines. and cannont step outside those routines.

The AI with this game, is HORRIBLE! Zombies dont really chase, you can lose them easily. Zombies get stuck on walls, and doorways. Zombies are slow.

You can literally stand right behind a zombie, and it will NEVER aggress. Even if it does, it takes 5 minutes for it to shamble 20 feet

I mean to be fair that's largely irrelevant. The zombie their chase can be as weak as it can be if one is sitting on a gen you can't work on that gen.

Also will try this build op, thanks

  • @Pulsar said:

Alright, here are my findings. Also thanks to @Positive_Jared for helping me test this <3

    CLOWN:

    • His gas now spawns in pockets, which will be destroyed after a Survivor touches it. Not sure if this is relevant but felt I'd mention it.
    • Running from shack to a predetermined point was 4.90 seconds.
    • Same test but with his Gas was 5.17 seconds
    • Difference is .27 seconds
    • Direct Impact does not slow down.
    • Gas will not affect Survivors if they stand still, no scream or anything
    • Gas will sometimes not blur vision
    • Gas will give Survivors a crosshair on occasion
    • Piss gas affected Survivors will not be slowed upon entering Purple gas.
    • It can take time for Survivors to be affected by the gas, up to 1 second, it would seem.
    • A loop around long-side shack from pallet to pallet was 8.53 seconds without gas and 9.02 with gas.
    • Difference of .49 seconds.
    • Clown's bottles at T-L's are hilariously inconsistent, you can vacuum through the gas.

    NEMESIS:

    • Control Run was 4.79 seconds.
    • Normal M1 Run was 4.33 seconds
    • Tentacle M1 Run was 4.45 seconds. There is a tiny slowdown, only .12 seconds.

    FREDDY:

    • Pallet-Pallet long-side shack run took 8.89 seconds without a snare.
    • Same run took 9.30 seconds with a snare. Seems to be slowing down just fine.
    • Snares also suffer from the same vacuum issues that Clown does. Do not know if that's new or not.
    • You can vacuum any window if the Snare is near it. Seems like the cutoff point is different for every window. Shack seemed to be at about 3-ish feet. T-L's were further. Jungle Gyms were similar to T-L's

Clown is definitely hella bugged. Nemesis needs work and Freddy seems to have issues with vacuum vaults.

    Thanks that's really helpfull.

Pop is meta because it's simple and effective. Having the pre-req of kicking a generator to make it erupt for 6% with a 16 second incapacitate effect is not meta because its weak and time-consuming. It's useless on gens that aren't touched, and useless if survivors do the gen before another survivor goes down.

They should have stuck to simplicity in some form if they wanted it to be a good perk IMO.

It's still just a kick action. You can even combine it with pop.

Who cares if it's useless on gens that are not touched? If survivors aren't touching gens then you win by default. Pop doesn't

Pop is useless to if survivors finish the gen before another goes down and unlike eruption you have to go through the whole hooking fase and walk over there giving the survivors more time to actually finish it.

You don't make a good case by saying pop is meta and eruption is bad to then start naming downsides that apply to pop as well.

I also skimmed over that eruption makes gens regress too so that 4.8 charges on the initial blast. 16 seconds of no progress and 16 seconds regression bringing the total for a single survivor to 8.8 charges lost and 16 seconds not worked on which translates 24.8 seconds lost or 34 when 2 survivors were on it.

The fact that they synergize pretty well is also important. You keep comparing them but nothing is stopping you from running both.

Undying is also bad if you ignore Ruin exists

  • @Ferrari334 said:

They are both really bad perks man. Eruption is only 8% regression and has a good chance of being useless if you don't down someone at the right time.

Lethal pursuit is good against potato survivors, but then so are most other perks.

Yeah BBQ and pop are meta for sure, always have been. But Nemesis perks (and he as a killer) are objectively pretty bad.

    Are you thinking of surge?

Eruption does 6% (4.8 charges) damage not 8%

It also let's survivors scream telling you where to go next.

It also makes them unable to work on gens if they were working on it for 16s

If you hit one survivor then you do 4.8 seconds of damage+ 16 seconds worth of progress for a total of 20.8 seconds. That's already more then pop.

If you hit 2 survivors on the same gen then you deny 27.2 charges with those 16 seconds. For a total of 30ish seconds saved

Does not sound objectivily bad once you decide to read the entire perk.

The only downside is that extreme sweaty swf's can call out before they go down to prevent the incapacitated.

  • I just always verify my files after updates nowadays.

    Always something missing

  • That's like 17, 550 extra bp you got with bbq and the offering.

Hope this bug stays a while

  • The truth is. There is always someone that will think you are cute.

    Except for Quintin.

  • Pretty good if you can capitilize on it.

    Pretty weak if you can't

    Good perk overal

  • Anyone remember the day that the rituals used to be long like this and award like 200.000+ bp

    I remember

  • Eruption is pretty nuts tbh

4.8 seconds of progress lost + 16 seconds of incapacitated is 20.4 seconds saved against a single survivor.

31 seconds if 2 survivors are hit. And on top of that they scream when they are hit with it.

You can pgtw a gen for 20 charges of damage and apply eruption. To then later trigger eruption doing 4.8 charges more damage and if survivors where working on it they scream and you know the best location for your next pop.

    Epoption is pretty nuts combined

  • @GuyFawx said:

Killers could farm feed all the extra no worm bp it would give

It would be nice if DC'd teammates were replaced with bots, that would be nice since at least then you and your teammate aren't completely doomed to lose. 😁

    Yeah true.

It would also solve some annoyances on the killer side.

DC's during adepts or dc for hatch.

It would be a win win for both sides

I was shocked at how badly optimised they are? If that's any consolation.

    So yeah, solo queue.

Perfect replica of the real thing

  • @Tsulan said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2280708#Comment_2280708

Correct. A working autoban system would work like this and filter the reports.

But remember, the new map got disabled 2 hours after its release. So i wouldn´t be to optimistic, that the autoban system works as intended. At least not when it starts.

Wether they can get it to work or not is irrelevant to the point I'm making that this system won't ban people on it's own.

Outside of our reports taking longer to go through there is no real downside to us if they mess it up.

So unless they accidentally create a killer AI there is no real reason to be pessimistic about it

  • You know the speed burst survivors get doesn't matter if you don't chase them.

There are 3 other survivors out there.

Why not bother them instead of chasing the survivor that was able to to get to the nearest safe structure within 50 meters

  • @Tsulan said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2280664#Comment_2280664

If you think people send in a lot of false reports now, then just wait until the autoban system goes live. The reports will spike.

    Read what i said again.

The reports can spike all they want.

A system like this filters out false reports. That's the whole point behind it.

False reports won't be looked into again cause they won't have to manually check anymore if a report is fake or not.

The only reason this discusion is even a thing is cause they chose a poor name for the system

  • Sounds like a gameplay error of you.

If you know it takes ages to catch up to a survivor holding w after a speedboost why are you chasing them?

Go after the ones who are working on gens instead and leave the survivor who's most likely sprinted to an area without generators for later

Chasing through injure speed boost is how most genrushes happen

  • And this is why i say the balancing devs are doing a pretty good job unironically.

20% gen damage in an aoe on every attack with no cooldown.

If this hit live it would be as bad as that one time pallets and flashlight saves didn't need to be timed. You would not get into matches anymore

  • @Tsulan said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2279393#Comment_2279393

Problem with this system is, that a report might end up at the desk of a overworked employee who just wants to end the shift and doesn't really check the account. But instead just hits the ban button and next.

And how is that worse then the current system where they have to check every report manually.

The whole point is to make it go smoother. It's so all those false reports don't waste time anymore.

Probably things like when it sees the words tunneling, camping, teabagging it will just ignore the report.

This system wil make that less likely to happen that an overworked employee just hits the ban button

  • On less experienced killers it can work.

On experienced killers you are shooting yourself in the foot most of the time.

the amount of time i've hit survivors doing their little spin for them to waste 1,5 seconds of their injure sprint burst to then go down 5 seconds later is rediculous.

It's better to focus on getting as much out of your speed boost as possible

Source of your information? Because it's hard to blame people for thinking it's an auto-ban feature when it was literally said word for word that they are working on an "auto-ban" system during the 5th anniversary livestream about an hour in.

    image.png

"We are going to take action" not the machine or the system is going to take action.

I do agree that calling it auto-ban feature was a poor choice of words

Honestly also common sense. I know we like to point at the devs from time to time but they are not stupid. They also know that if a machine banned people for false reports it would kill the game

Lethal Pursuer is a bit overestimated imho. On a normal M1 killer it does next to nothing, best you can hoe for is early injure. It gives you a bit of momentum, but if you have nothing to sustain it, its wasted perk slot. Especially when there are much better things to put there.

Now, im actually suprised by Hysteria. Not gonna lie, didnt expect devs to buff it to great state, but its plesant suprise and it shows that they are willing to actually buff killers if they need it. Hopefully. Back to perk, interesting thing is that it procs on EVERY injured survivor, INCLUDING the one that you just injured. What is REALLY good. It can also br proc-ed by whatever means, aka, yay for Twins, Legion and Plague. Overall great change.

Eruption change was good, not as good as Hysteria, but thats probably because perk is a bit weaker in basics than Hysteria is.

Demo nerfs are sad, but justified. Cannot really argue with them even if i wanted to. His add ons were tad bit too powerful for browns and yellows, but they still are useful just as before.

Franklins nerf was not needed, pointless and downright bad. Good thing is, it helps you tinny bit more with dealing with medkits. Downside is that keys have no counter now. Which is really, really, really, really bad. Guess its time to start dodging lobbies.

To be fair Franklin's was really bad at countering keys anyway. If anything it made keys stronger by taking one of your perk slots. Smart survivors do not keep the key in their hand when they bring one. Mass slugging is still the much better counter to keys.

Yeah i do agree that you need the mobility to really make use out of Lethal pursuer but even without it has value. Like I wouldn't call it the best on every killer but outside of setup killers i would always apreciate it.

Hysteria is quickly becoming my favorite perk god it's fun to jumpscare people with killers that usually don't jumpscare

  • God dangit.

Can the devs pls make an official anouncement that it's an automatic flag system and not an automatic ban system.

Nobody is going to get banned by a machine. It's sad to see so many people think this

Btw 5% is a big percentage when it comes to actions. Brutal I'd only 20% so when you're nerfing addons by 5% it is noticeable... nerf wasnt needed at all though its demo, like come on I hardly ever verse him or even see one doing well at rank 1. The issue is why are things being nerfed that didnt need to be, that's the real question

2 seconds cooldown for shredding pallets normally

1.6 seconds with the old glasses

1.7 seconds with the nerfed ones.

The survivor makes 0.4 m extra distance compared to pre nerf.

Now this will make a difference in some cases. But 9 times out of 10 it really won't

For black heart it's 3 seconds for normal shred cooldown

Old black heart made that 2.4 seconds

    Nerfed one 2.55 seconds

    0.6m extra distance comparatively

It really doesn't make that big of a difference

is the perks good ? please answer this

is the nemesis perks gonna change meta ? of course not, so it's like dev buff monstrous shrine but no one using it,

yes that addons got nerfed and that's the most important ones compared to the other addons

Yes the perks are good. Like are you serious?

Lethal pursuer ensures that a chase starts as soon as possible and is a massive boon for the otherwise weak early game of killers. It's going to be one of the better nurse perks at the very least. Lethal pursuer, Infectious Fright nurses can end games before they even start

Hysteria after it's buff is seriously slept on. I don't think people realise how many easy downs this perk can give you. This perk will make the no heal meta a lot more dangerous to do. It's nemesis weakest perk but by no means bad

And eruption is a slowdown perk that synergizes with some other slowdown perks. Something they said they wanted to avoid.

Pgtw a gen takes 20 seconds for a solo survivor to fix. Downing someone adds 5 seconds to that and if someone was working on it they can't work on another gen for 16 seconds.

That half a gen worth of slowdown for 1 kick.

Like seriously what do you want perks to be? At the start of a trail 1/2/3 survivors start on a hook?

You are having a serious victim mentality. Nemesis is one of the few killers who has no bad perks

  • It will never cease to amaze me how people can trick their own mind to only see the things they want to see.

Litterally every single perk of nemesis got buffed. Some massivelly even.

2 addons of a killer getting a barelly noticable nerf and all that doesn't matter anymore

  • I don't see what this has to do with nemesis? Wouldn't this happen with any killer?

  • @Bluebird said:

Honestly they need to rework his entire kit and implement some sort of mobility. Nerf the zombies or even his tentacle, but give him his dash. Put it on a 60 second cooldown with a 2.5 second wind-up time like Doctor's Static Blast.

The insane obsession with reworks is quickly becoming the most frustrating parts of this community.

Can we get used to how his power is currently before thinking of throwing it in the thrash can and starting over.

  • I think increasing the range at which he shimmers would be a fair trade off.

Survivors can't hide from you but you can't hide as well either. Also would let shrewd survivors figure it out that hiding is pointless if they can notice the shimmer being further then normal

So yeah, better nerf Demogorgon that was too abusive and keep the Spirit / Nurse / Keys / Etc as they are, right?

As much as 5% is like, it's still a nerf to one of the most balanced killers in the game. It was at most a Tier B killer. Nerfing addons because they were the most used isn't going to make others stand out more, especially if the buffs are garbage.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2273022#Comment_2273022

The problem is your way of thinking (no offense), nerfing those addons because they were the most used isn't going to change the fact that they will continue to be the most used. That they are the most used addons doesn't mean that they were op. The problem is the rest of the addons, which are rubbish. The buffs that they have done to the other addons are not going to make me change the addons I use in my case.

By the way, with that 5%, after destroying several pallets you realize that you save a couple of seconds, and although it sounds little, that couple of seconds can save you time to put down a survivor sooner.

To be clear i don't think these addons should have been nerfed. Like at all.

I'm just looking at what reasoning the devs might have for the nerf

  • Franklin's nerf is not an indirect buff to keys cause Franklin was never a counter to keys.

If you won a match by camping the key with Franklins you most likely would have won the match regardless of keys.

Not to mention that survivors could just drop the key somewhere safe and franklins did nothing.

  • Since his buff demoplayer bassicly only used those addons.

They probably just want some more viarity. Hence why some of his othet addons got buffed.

The nerf is so small that it won't even be noticable.

They nerfed it cause as the freddy nerf shows just saying something got nerfed makes people not want to play it. No matter if the nerf even is noticable

  • Franklin's was a counter to medkits and it's still a good counter to medkits.

People who used franklin's against keys were kinda silly. Against smart survivors Franklin did nothing against keys

  • I love the hysteria change. Really looking forward to play with that.

  • Sadly they don't reach baby zombie speed

Because him m2 power is not strong. You have to hit 3 times with m2 for get them down. So Bamboozle will help for that. I will close windows with Bamboozle and i will break pallet with my power. And survivor will stuck in dead zone. With this build i got 2 hits in one area in PTB and that is really good. That will help me in early game. But in middle and end game Bamboozle will be useless but that's fine for me.

    That's fair, thanks for explaining.

Might try it too if i get bamboozle in the bloodweb

  • @Northener1907 said:

    I will go for that:

BBQ + Bamboozle + Pop + Devour Hope

That is not my final build ofcourse but for now i will go my general m1 killer build. But i can remove Devour because of Counterforce. I can swap it with Tinkerer or Make Your Choice

Bamboozle seems an odd choice for a killer who's power can hit through windows.

    What's the reasoning behind it?

1 … 74 75 76 77 78 … 142
