People will ultrawide monitors don't like the black bars. They got too used to the larger monitor size, so it feels off-putting.
Try looking up how small early 90s monitors were, compared to nowadays. Now imagine using that instead of your current screen. That's how it feels for people on ultrawide to play at standard screen sizes.
Sorry but whether they like it or not is irrelivant.
You should not get a advantage in a game because of your choice of monitor and if there is no way to fix it outside of black bars they just have to deal with it.
If there is another way to make it work without giving an advantage i would be all for it but letting them cheat because they don't like the fix to it is just silly

I'm not a PC expert but aren't there some cases in which stretched resolution is necessary because of certain monitors?
I'm pretty sure that can be fixed with black bars
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
Highly doubt that it is possible.
Personally, I would not care for stretched resolution. Unless they are a streamer or Content Creator in general, you cannot prove it anyway. So why bother?
Pretty sure there is a way to use fixed resulutions to make sure people don't stretch it.

"Oh no! The doll has a knife!" Just kick him smh...
On the other hand the idea of punting chucky across the map seems pretty great lol
Yes cause just kicking him worked so well in the movies.
He got set on fire and his head shot off and still kept going
-
Because people who play this game are so used to be taken by the hand that when they see a totem light up in the distance they feel like they need to drop everything and go cleanse it now.
If you have some basic knowledge of where totems spawn and you aren't a dum dum going to the furthest one everytime then it's probably the best antitotem perk in the game
Eruption has the same issue where people who use feel like every gen needs to be kicked before downing someone and when they realise they have no pressure cause they have been wasting their time kicking they think the perk sucks
-
How the turntables
-
Personally i find Lethal Pursuer to be one of the best killer perks in the game for good killers
Having a good start beats any perk in the game and this perk allows you the best start available every game
You do need to be good enough to make the most of the oppertunity it provides

There's no way he is as tall as hag
Checked a height chart vid. You are right. I thought hag was really short cause she's slouched over all the time but even then she's taller then i remember.
Old blights pov would match what chucky would have though and if he doesn't have a power that asks him to constantly look away from survivors to then quickly relocate them that would work just fine

I never really get people on the exploding gens. It happens maybe once a trial, and that's if I'm lucky.
True, swf can say when they are about to go down and solo's don't do gens half the time lol.
Still though it is pretty massive when it happens and knowing they aren't on a specific gen has value too
-
@MadLordJack said:
It's not good. Chases are more important than kicking gens, so even with PGTW you're not getting much value. It's just 6%. And that's assuming it wasn't finished before you got a down.
At least Surge is completely passive. Eruption feels like a consolation prize for making the bad play.
It's not really about the 6% but about the information and delay it provides with the scream and the incapacitated effect.
Under normal circumstances 16 seconds not able to work on a gen is 20% of the gen lost and in that time has regressed for another 5%.
So with one survivor it's actually 31% slowdown and you know what gen they were working on if all cards fall right.
It bassicly allows you to hook without having to worry about the affected gen to be completed.
Is that worth not chasing and kicking random gens? Idk. I think it's decent in 3 gen situations where you are able to play a little more defence.
I wouldn't go nuts and go on a kicking spree while still at 5 gens though

I want either chucky or something fire related.
I bet the devs could make a pyromaniac look amazing
-
Anyone who says Chucky can't work in dbd has a severe lack of creativity.
He isn't that short. About the same as the hag i would say.
He could drag survivors, hooks could lower when he hooks them
Hell he has voodoo powers and in the latest films he posseses people. He could posses survivors and piggyback them. To where he would lose his terror radius. Now he can either make them hook themself or ambush other characters.
There solved the hook issue and gave him part of a power in under one minute of thinking. And i'm nowhere near as creative as some of the people at BHVR are.

Andy's mom picked him up and threw him across the room after several seconds. You telling me that's grown man fighting?
He beat the teacher with a ruler after she had been stabbed in the chest with a bicycle pump and was literally bleeding to death. He used a big metal hook to hold Phil for a couple of seconds hanging off basement stairs.
Strangle a grown man.....you mean the old man Mr Sullivan who he made fall down by spilling marbles on the floor, then hitting him in the head with a golf club? Yeah what a physical challenge he was to strangle.
I never said Chucky did not have any strength at all. He just does not display the strength of an adult male as the OP claimed. The movies never showcase that. Chucky's lethality comes from the element of surprise. He catches people off guard because they don't know the doll is alive.
That's what makes him creepy and dangerous.
He was only able to beat the teacher with a ruler after puncturing her chest with a bicycle pump
thank you for proving my point better then i could.
We are not saying he has superstrength. The avarage male isn't that strong. Just that he is a lot stronger then his height would suggest.

I'm a huge fan of the movies, but never ever did Chucky display the strength of an adult male. Characters constantly picked him up like the doll he is and threw him across a room. Chucky's lethality came from people not realizing he was alive. 95% of his murders are him catching people off guard because they did not realize the doll was alive.
In the first one he wrestled andy's mom to the ground
In the second he beat someone to death with a ruler and was able to keep Phil suspended in the air without any effort for a couple if seconds
In the third he was able to strangle a grown man with a yoyo and later with a plastic bag.
Do you really think that could be done if he didn't have any strength at all?
Sounds like you are just trying to nay-say for the sake of nay saying
-
@BlackRabies said:
Highly doubt Chucky would ever come to DBD, he's even smaller than Victor and how would he even work?
False he isn't that small
He's 3 foot and 1 inch that's almost a meter. He also has the strenght of a full grown man.
If anything Victor proves that chucky could wotk no problem
-
@Dwight_Fairfield said:
How is he going to carry you to a hook?
He has voodoo magic. He could posses survivors and let them hook themself or They can make him drag the survivors. And let the hooks lower. Or so many other things
If you have even an ounce of creativity that isn't a problem
-
I DIDN'T KNOW some players CAN BE THIS SHAMELESS...
Fixed the title. Don't generalize.
This just feeds the toxic us vs them mentality. Survivors as a whole did not bm you into dcing. These players did. Big difference
-
That's all well and good but what about Noed and keys?
-
Being a Legion main, it actually happens surprisingly a lot
even red ranks. I just assume they are doing a drunk run or something
-
Why are we even assuming the Iron will buff has to do with spirit.
The devs trying to fix the many sound bugs in the game and ended up breaking Iron Will and just call it a feature now seems equally if not more likely to me
-
I feel like killers should be able to open the exit gate after 20ish minutes to prevent this from happening.
Would also mean we could end the game if 2 or more survivor get stuck somewhere unreachable
-
If i actually had the skill to do so yes
Sounds like a dream job
-
Are you suggesting our current killers aren't beautifull.
You're making hag cry man
-
Dark devotion is also one of those "you wouldn't think it works but works surprisingly well" perks
After hitting your obession your power would be on cooldown anyway and not a lot of survivors expect a sneaky ghostface shortly after stabbing someone
-
Bloodhound and spies from the shadows should work pretty well
Teeeechnically predator cause at a intersection it does show more clearly wether they went left or right but it messes up normal tracking so much it isn't worth it.
Someone suggested eyes before. That's stupid don't use eyes. Use your nose, smell their fear. Or sweat.

This is a fair enough point, but on the majority of the killers if survivors are just spread out on gens there isn't much difference from not having it at all, because it's just an aura reading perk in the end, and you gotta chase the first survivor you see.
Unless you have a specific build like lethal pursuer, make your choice, furtive chase and another obsession perk to chase the obsession immediately, there is no point to get a specific survivor. Even then, they can all just use the same character, with the same cosmetic, and the strat is not as efficient, especially if the obsession hides
Without Lethal Pursuer most killers go to the other side of the map to find a single survivor
With Lethal pursuer you only have to travel half a map most of the time towards a cluster of survivors so you are bothering multiple of them and on top of that you know exactly what other gens are being worked by looking at the closest gens which means the chances of interupting it with ruin and pop before it can complete after your first chase are that much higher
Lethal Pursuer is THE perk to stop the whole 3 gens completed in one chase phenomenom
It's really good if you actually use the information it gives you but with how many people think about legion it's clear using information is not something the community is good at
-
Note that date stretched over 4 years.
Almost all of those perks got changed a ton over the time as well as the actual gameplay.
This is a fun trivia but it doesn't mean anything

They ARE comparable in terms of strength, if not mathematically then statistically.
On nurse maybe lethal is overall better, but on all the other killers 4 coup de grace stacks and 1 at the end are much stronger, because you can win so many more mindgames with it, and even 1 single stack would be better than lethal pursuer.
Once you've seen the not being repaired gens at the start, you already know which are the other ones they're repairing.
You are quite litterally comparing apples to oranges right now.
Also coup de grace can be unused the entire match if you never come into a situation where the extra lunge distance matter. Lethal pursuer will always ensure you have the best early game you can have.
They are not even close comparable in terms of strength
-
It's kinda funny cause people told BHVR that horror games weren't a good market

It doesn't change the fact that, from the survivor perspective, Legion feels very unthreatening. He can feel oppressive because of bad teammates who cannot loop an M1 killer while injured, heal unnecessarily and then get stabbed again, and cannot deal with thana/other slowdown or regression perks. The moment you have more than a few actual good survivors, Legion becomes a weak killer. As long as you're not playing on a map that's very favorable to M1 killers, which aren't many, being injured doesn't really matter as long as you can just loop him. Again, the issue is, from the survivor perspective, I can loop Legion for 10 years and have only 1 gen done during that time. After my chase, Legion goes and immediately downs the scared Bill and urban evasion Blendette because they have no ######### clue what they're doing, even though they have the nastiest setup in the world that's completely untouched by me and could keep a Legion or Pig in chase for another 30 years.
The reason why Legion isn't weak in plenty of matches is because of potatoes. Their argument is correct. However, with MMR not yet being implemented, you can, indeed, go 50+ games without fighting potatoes. That's why Legion being weak against players who understand how to properly loop an M1 killer isn't that big of a deal with matchmaking and the joke that is high ranks being how it is. Those 50 winstreaks just show how much of a mess the ranking system is more than anything, not how strong Legion is.
By the way, I'm not talking about competitive teams, I'm talking about 3-4 good players. People who understand how to play the game. That's all. Teams that could still be beaten by high B-A tier killers, not teams that stomp every killer other than Nurse and Blight.
It is not impossible to m1 good survivors.
I can turn your argument around and say that the only reason you could loop a Legion for 10 years is because mmr isn't on and you were facing a bad one.
On maps like the game and haddonfield you have a point. But on most maps you won't be able to loop someone who is good at mindgames forever.
With that logic Oni is F tier cause he doesn't have any power at all before he can get an m1 and unlike Legion he is loud and tall. And we all know oni isn't f tier.
Sorry but the whole good survivors are impossible to m1 is in my oppinion just not true. Especially with Legion who only needs one m1 hit for a down most of the time
-
Those don't even do... remotelly the same thing
-
You just made this to flex on all single folk didn't you
/s
-
Normally you have a 3 second cooldown on attacks at which the survivor you just hit can make 18 meters of distance (because of their speedboost) or another survivor that was near 12 meters
With max stacks your cooldown is 1.8 seconds which means the hit survivor can make 10.8 meters difference and another close one 7.2
That's a difference of 7.2 meters and 4.8 meters respectivilly
7.2 meters takes 12 seconds for a standert 115% ms killer to catch up
4.8 meters takes 8 seconds for a standert 115% ms killer to catch up.
It makes quite the difference
-
@Johnny_XMan said:
I must be way in a minority cuz I normally only have Corrupt and I hardly if ever have problems finding someone.
Lethal pursuer is more then just finding someone.
It's finding a cluster so you can bother more of them at once and have an idea where the others are when you are done with your first chase.
Believe me the difference between heading to the opposite side of the map to find a single survivor or moving half a map to chase of 2 survivors and knowing where to go for your pop is the difference between losing 3 gens in one minute and losing 1 gen.

In that situation might as well down the survivor you used FF hit first. If you play it well you can kinda do like Wraith and "block" or forcethe survivor in a direction he have less protection. A down is always better than injure people in my book.
Streamer often face weaker survivor with how the match making is.
no, the person you just hit with FF just got a speedboost and is heading straight to a strong zone. They also need to mend. You are letting 3 survivors slam gens while you are chasing a survivor in a strong area who can't even do gens at that point. while with what i said you let that survivor mend go hit the other survivor(s) and by the time the first one finished mending and is back on their gen you already hit the other ones and on your way back to the first one who this time doesn't have a on hit speed boost and while the other survivors have to mend first before being able to slam gens.
How you would play that situation shows me that you are playing Legion terribly wrong.
This is what i mean. It's not that Legion is bad. People are just bad at Legion.
When people discuss how strong huntress is you also don't look at people who only hit one out of 5 hatchets. So why are you judging Legions strength on a person who uses their 1v4 power in a 1v1 way?
-

Nah, he's weak. There are some add-ons & perk combo that can make one of his play style stronger but overall he's weak. If survivor spread out & don't heal the very moment they are injured and left alone he's dog #########. If you do poorly vs him it's either because you don't spread out and thus spend a lot of time mending/healing or you're not that good at looping.
He have a ######### long cooldown on his power & a long stun animation going out of it. If survivor are like 24-32m away from each other than it's not even worth trying to FF and injure multiple survivor so at best you just know their general location for after you down someone.
It's funny how when i start defending Legion for being stronger then people think they always assume i'm a survivor that can't deal with them.
I main the Legion. I don't play often and am not the best but can still concistantly win. Other streamers like Ryuga and Otz also showed they can do well with them.
If survivors are that far away while in frenzy all you need to do is end your power walk over there and activate it again cause the cooldown is nothing if you don't let it run out.

Getting a bunch of wins in red ranks doesn't mean much since there are still tones of potatoes at red ranks, and while having thousands of hours doesn't make you good at every killer it gives you a pretty good idea of how viable something can be
I've also never seen some one properly tell me why Legion is as good as they are without showing such a specific or perfect example where all the cards need to be right for it to work.
How many matches do you have to win in a row for the whole "potato survivors" argument to fall apart?
Otz did 50, Ryuga did 20
If you desperatly need to look at competitive survivors to make Legion look weak, the same survivors that make 90% of the roster look weak then you aren't proving legion is weak, then you are proving survivors at their best are to strong. there is a difference
Legion isn't the strongest killer, but they certainly aren't weak. Anyone who calls them the weakest clearly has no idea what they are talking about. That includes some of those 1000 hour people out there. Having that many hours does not mean you know how the game works and you can't be wrong about things. Legion is the most underrated killer in the game

There are many people who've played him who have thousands of hours and as much as I hate to say it, Legion is weak af.
They have a hit and run playstyle. And that works with Wraith because he's able to become undetectable and sneak up on survivors.
Legion has a 32m Terror Radius (40m in Frenzy) which is just a big warning for survivors to GTFO if they're in an unsafe spot.
And I've seen people who have thousands of hours win game after game with Legion in red ranks.
Having thousands of hours don't automagically make you good at every single killer in the game.
In a game filled with 1v1 killers Legion being a 1v4 is very different and people just play them terribly.
They are far from the best, but they are far from the worst either
That said they could use some changes. But don't expect it to happen before other killers who desperatly need it more like trapper, myers or pig

There's no reward for applying dw to every survivor with a single ff. So maybe a lower cool down on fatigue for each survivor hit during a single use of ff
Would be cool but you don't often are able to chain to a lot of survivors so wouldn't really do much i feel
Often you are better of going back to the other survivors and letting the one you just hit mend anyway

The way he uses Frenzy only works because of his addons that reduce the fatigue, otherwise it aint viable for that
He usually plays without them, i almost never play with them and i do fine.
If you can read the information FF gives you and use the stall deep wounds give Legion is pretty good.
If you use your ability once and never again once everyone injured then yeah they suck but huntress sucks too if you don't use lockers to reload
-
Shack is probably the most balanced strong building in the game
-
Nothing too much outside of addons and some quality of life changes.
Legion isn't bad, people are bad at them. That you say they don't have a power when everyone is injured already tells me your playing them wrong
https://youtu.be/a2QBwgZdYLcChanges i would like to see are
removing the power drain on a m1 hit, hell maybe even add power
Changing the addons frank's mixtape and stabwounds study
Make it so people with deep wounds can't interact with generators like madness tier 3 so they don't just go fixing gens before they mend
Maybe up their speed a little after every stab. Speedy Legion addons were fun
