That'd be nice.
I get why the new voice exists and we will all get used to it eventually, but a steagull charm would be great.
-
Honestly her power is at a bit of a stalemate.
You can't really return her to her old numbers, because she will be too strong again.
But that said, you can't leave her as is because she is clunky.
Not even mentioning the infection system.
Some changes to her kit are needed, fundemental changes like new mechanics.

That would make boons pretty much worthless though, at least make it a time commitment for the killer.
Not if you buff the boons across the board as compensation.

What bhvr has done in the last few years and yet they continue to defend and support them.
Humans are truly an amazing species.
Oh I remember all of it.
Not everyone forgot.

It’s not mentioned in the perk description, but is it intended that you won’t scream while you’re cleansing a totem that’s affecting you?
I think so...
-
The issue are not the map variants (which would also not increase the odds because only the realms matter for map selection odds), it's the boosted maps.
There are several realms with doubled chances of appearing. That is why we play on the same maps over and over.
-
Shattered Hope needs to either be basekit, or not exist at all.
-
The single category offerings need an overhaul.
-
I think the only changes needed is a rework of the Heavy Panting addon, and giving her Blindness while holding a blink.
-
This is needlessly convoluted and completely excessive.
Not a good idea.

Thanks for the reply.
About #1: In solo queue, it’s hard to coordinate, so it usually doesn’t line up with teammates. But I understand it can still be a valid counterplay.
About #2: Does that mean the cursed survivor won’t scream as long as they’re injured? From my experience, even if they’re injured, they still scream when they’re outside the Terror Radius, so they often can’t cleanse totems safely anyway.
So I’m wondering: is the Japanese description/translation of the perk incorrect, or am I misunderstanding how it works?
If I remember it right, the perk triggers by injuring a person, but that person is immune to the effects.
So there is always one person who is immune to the effects of the perk.
-
We saw in the past that this does not work.
Example: syringes, styptics, BNPs
-
@brewingtea said:
It's a shame that medkits are so superior to every other item choice.
Toolboxes are a distant second, maybe a close one if you have a BNP and can hit the skillcheck. Otherwise, you get a few extra seconds on a gen (omg wow) or sabotage, but I can't recall the last time I had someone sabo a hook against me and I didn't just go to a different hook.
Flashlights can be good IF you're in a coordinated swf, but everything else is just garbo.
"Let me see gens for 3s, oh it's gone and now I have no more charges."
"Let me see the killer or a teammate for 3s, oh it's gone and now I have no more charges."
Not exactly game changing
Maps have the issue of being worthless after 100 hours of play. WOO is better for windows/pallets. The new perk from Eleven is the best for totem hunting. Deja Vu is the best for gens and it is free. And that can only be fixed with some new functions.
Keys are a bit better thanks to chest build synergy, but still kind of lacking.

@Aven_Fallen said:
Flashlights are the perfect example for useless Item Add Ons, since their Add Ons got nerfed years ago and then were never touched. Realistically, you only need the Batteries and the Low Amp Filament, the rest is barely doing anything or straight up nothing (e.g. accuracy).
And this also extends to Flashlights itself. There is 0 need to have 3 Flashlights which are roughly the same. And furthermore this extends to Add Ons and Items of other categories. The Devs should reduce the number of items to 1 of a kind and the number of Add Ons to 8 or so for each Item. And the rest should be combined into those 8 Add Ons or straight up removed.
Because there is just too much Bloodweb Clutter.
And obviously remove Fog Vials.
Yeah.
I don't even think Flashlights are the worst offenders item wise.
That would be Maps, Medkits and Fog Vials, which are the same item copied 3-4 times with one or two stats improved.
-
@Astaroth said:
The numbers should be cut in half to make it fairly reasonable.
You are not meant to complete them all.
Out of all the kinds of quests, they are the least rewarding.
A way better alternative is to just do the weekly ones and play during events.
-
Honestly, in this kind of scenario you can do 2 things:
- Ignore it. Ruin can be ignored. This does not apply on all hexes.
- The person who is the one cursed (injured and therefore triggered Face The Darkness) should be the one to go for totems.
But to answer your question, no. There are no plans to change how totems work as far as I know.

they banned Engineers Feng? as a Ceno I'm actually unsure if they did that for our benefit or the survivors lmao.
Nope, according to the person who I got the photo from, Engineer's Fang is in the rotation.

certain perks shoudnt proc a "kick" tbh like eruptions down effect and surge
Surge is not a problem imo.
Eruption absolutely is.

I agree.
Also, Pig, Freddy and Bubba need some too.

I agree.

YES!!!

I honestly can't believe people are hyping up the generic looking girl when BHVR gave us the option of having the orange haired man with lighting strike scars over the right half of his body. 😡
"Oh, she's got heterochromia"
DID YOU EVEN LOOK AT THE OTHER OPTIONS!? THEY ALL HAVE IT!
So frustrating.
They are? Everywhere I looked, people were hyping up all of the designs EXCEPT miss YA-blue-hair.
In fact, I've seen several posts saying to not vote her.
-
So far, this is, to my knowledge, the list of all banned addons and perks:
Perks: A Nurse's Calling, Tenacity, No Mither, Boon: Exponential, Unbreakable, Plot Twist (+ maybe some more anti-slug perks)
-
I like it.
You can still hold a 3-gen decently, but not to the point of holding the match hostage. Plus, it almost never showed up for me.
The only problem is Eruption. It should be adjusted to not block the gens so quickly.
-
Honestly, yes. As long as it's not the blue haired girl.
-
The floating head definitely captures the divinity in a unique way, that being the incomprehensible divinity that looks strange to us.
That being said, the other two might fit the other themes more.
-
Honestly anything other than miss YA with blue hair is good.
I voted for the old woman.
-
Honestly, designs 1 and 2 should be merged together and that would look amazing.
The head is very interesting, and I voted for it because screw it, the divine is supposed to be incomprehensible and odd. Though, I do not think it fits the kind of divine that the killer is supposed to be.

The problem is when we try to talk about making the gameplay fun for killers, the conversation gets an overwhelming amount of pushback.
Excessive hiding is unfun for killers, and we we SUPPOSED TO have a phase 1 update to address this problem, but survivors complained they are "just trying to survive", and got the entire thing nerfed so badly that BHVR might as well just revert the AFK crows to what they were before phase 1.
Bully SWFs are unfun for killers, but if people try to talk about that, we get told it's not really a problem, or "at least they aren't doing gens"
Gen rushing is unfun for killers, but if people try to talk about that, we get told "it's not real" or "that's not what gen rushing is"
Being forced to slug isn't fun for killers, but if people try to talk about that, we get told "slugging is worse for survivors" or "it's not really a problem"
Voice comms and SWFs aren't fun for killers, but if people try to talk about that, we get told "you can't punish people for playing with friends"
So really, when people say "making the gameplay fun", the vast majority of the time it's really "making the gameplay fun FOR SURVIVORS ONLY"
Honestly, the hiding update and antitunnel update both turned out the same, shot down by the community, with only fragments left in the game.
BHVR tried to make the game fun for both sides, but this community decided that they don't want that.
-
For the older killers, this is objectively not true.
Nowadays tho....
The issue is that, if they could, BHVR would likely only churn out licensed chapters.
In the last year and and a half, we got only 2 original killers, and lookie look, they both fell into the Dashslop™ pit.
Meanwhile on the licensed side we have several killers with unique powers. ST Vecna, Springtrap, Kaneki, Dracula if you want to go further back...
-
@Shroompy said:
The youngin is just so basic and doesnt really check off any new boxes as opposed to others who do.
We dont have an older black man other than Tapp, but I wouldnt necessarily count him since he's licensed.
Granny to me is the obvious pick since we dont have an older female survivor yet.
And the lore fits very well.

Its not even good at all, frankly just an instant loss.
The days of Myers sniping you indoors is over, the map offerings dont help enough to make it viable.
At least let people Opt out of having a random power degradation. The list of banned addons is very arbitrary.
Trapper cannot use his aura reading addon, but can roll Padded Jaws.
Myers can't roll Blond Hair, but can roll Scratched Mirror.
Artist can't use Iri Feather, but can roll Charcoal Stick (the worst addon she has)
Plague can't use one green addon for some reason, but can get Propylapthic Amulet, an addon that only nerfs you.
-
We are slowly getting there. Snail pace slowly, but still.
The anti-camp being visible is a part of Kindred basekit if you think about it.
Still, it'd be nice.
-
Chucky's main thing was Scamper.
It's not nice, nor satisfying, but it was. So logically taking it out was going to tank him.
As for Myers, well, I feel like the problem would be lesser if he actually had to commit more than 5 seconds to get to his Tier 3.
-
So, Undone as a concept is pretty much a bad idea, and always was.
Further punishing people for failing, as if the -10% progress was not enough. The whole skill check thing is the issue.
Plus, as you said, it only gets some use in skill check builds.
-
The first step has to be equalizing their effects on all maps. Based on that we can decide the opacity of the fog.
Then, we can do one of two things:
Either keep the amount of charges, but buff the rest (smaller cooldowns, bigger cloud, longer duration)
Or add more charges.
Also, the iri should lose one of the downsides and return to 10% more opacity.
-
I feel like the following should happen for this to improve:
The upcomming MMR rework should take new players into consideration and maybe make the newbie pool go on for longer. So they can learn.
Extensive rework of the entire tutorial, and inclusion of complete power explanations. If they are too lazy to write everything out, they can just make it so the dbd wiki is a part of the game and can be quickly opened.
Rework or buff some of the general perks, half of them are worthless. If not for Stranger Things (formerly), Hellraiser and Halloween leaving the game, we would have no base gen regression perks, or antitunnel.
-
Haywire has the unfortunate issue of being problematic on a certain killer and there being nothing you can realistically change about it.
-
Out of these, half need a rework.
And some are kind of fine.
-

if map offerings are going to be as bad as they are now when it comes to the chance of getting hte map, they at least need to be refunded if they don't sucesfully pick a map so that it means if you keep using the offering you will eventually get the map you want to go to, but as it is right now it's chance a 4/5 chance you lose the offering and nothing happens when you could be getting guaranteed BP or making survivors spawn separated / guranteeing a hatch spawn.
I agree with this.
With how many of them exist, they compete for bloodweb spots, so you get less of the certain kinds.
So yes, this feature would be great.
If someone thinks that this is too big a buff, we can make it so Sacrificial Wards deny the refunds.
-
Good job, I guess?

Decisive Strike was unlocked before January 19th. I logged in today and couldn't find her other two perks as universal perks, and they don't seem to be in my inventory either.
Is this a bug, or are these perks are not available to players who don't own her? There was a period of time between Pinhead's removal from the game and the time his perks came to live as universal ones.
I suspect same will go for Myers' and Laurie's perks.

Spirit is super buggy right now isn't she?
Idk. Perks are great tho.
-
Well, not that I disagree with you, but now that the complaints about her having too many status effects and on-demand stealth hold no water, we can finally start with some actual buffs.
Like a second scanline or reintroducing stealth mode.
-
With the addition of both Sinister Grace and Stranger Things Part 2, we recieved two new perks that can be classified as healing perks. So, here are my rankings:
Change Of Plan - A
(It's only requirement is either bringing a toolbox, or finding one. It also transfers addons and fully fills the medkit up, which are all great effects.)
Road Life - D
(Convoluted, specific, and completely outclassed by Botany, a free perk. Would be leagues better if it just gave you a self-heal ability.)
-
You are right.
There are a few others that suffer from the same problems: Duty Of Care, Teamwork perks (Power of Two and Throwdown mainly, as they are not crap), Quick Gambit ect.
They are all team perks that rely on your teammates, except the issue with them is that your teammates have to be competent enough.
-
@random1543 said:
I just want them to add a killer bot so I can test out perks and stuff without having to go into public matches.
I think this would help newer players on the survivor side as well as they can learn maps and mess with perks in customsYes. This.
To the topic, after a very short time, and especially if one claims all BP rewards or uses cakes, BP become easy to get.
So I do not think this is necessary.

Blight & Artist?
They're both very powerful killers with good perks, Artist can be pretty hard though.
Also, if you have shards to spend, you should check the Shrine of Secrets for any perks you might want.
Just remember not to buy multiple tiers of the same perk, it's wasteful.
Also Spirit is pretty good perk wise and strength wise.
