I know that this is technically a suggestion but I would like to focus on discussing it and see how my idea could be improved, so I'd very appreciate, if the mods don't move it to Feedback And Suggestions. Thank you.

WoO has been discussed quite a bit. There are people that really like it, there are people that hate it and there are some that are indifferent about it. Personally, I like the idea of the perk but not the execution.

So I suggest to change the perk so that it stays active as long as you are not in chase but goes on a cooldown after X amount of time (I think 5 seconds should suffice) once the chase starts and stays inactive for Y amount of time (15 seconds maybe), then activates again and repeats.

This would allow the perk to cover for solo queue issues, help survivors learn maps and get rid of it as a crutch because in order for it to really make a difference, you actually need to put in some work. It would also further incentivise learning maps because you would memorise 1 or 2 nearby loops.

I don't care so much about whether or not you think WoO absolutely needs a nerf (that has been discussed more than enough) but more about what you think of this suggestion. What potential issues could it have and what adjustments should be made? I also wouldn't be against it getting a neat second effect, should it end up being too weak.

    Don't give them ideas.

  • It's imo kinda underrated right now.

Tunneling killers are used to counting to 10.

So this perk screws with them really well.

  • @VomitMommy said:

play them without tunneling, at high MMR it isn't even a choice to do that

it is, if you compensate with perks, or killer.

You don't need to tunnel in most games, if you have strong enough killer, or enough slowdown perks…

It's a pitty they keep nerfing everything else. Camping, 3-gen feature… Hit&run just got sloppy nerfed and STBFL.

Yeah, I would be more happy if all of the viable perks weren't all genrush/gen slowdown perks.

  • Perks like Grim Embrace and Pain Res actually do incentivize spreading hooks.

We also had old BBQ but that one's gone.

There are perks that benefit you more when not tunneling

  • Sometimes I doubt it.

  • DBDs FOMO content and the large grind you have to go through to purchase things both really suck.

We can only hope they will continue with things like the expansion packs and halving the prices of non-licensed content.

  • @jonifire said:

Agree, it‘s also sad that they will most likely remove the bonus bp from distressing too next update.

    I hope they don't

  • Noed is a crutch perk. You get value for doing nothing.

No Way Out, Remember Me, Blood Warden and Terminus all need you to do something to work. NOED doesn't.

  • I really think its a shame that all unique perk types that were added for survivors suck.

    :(

  • @fulltonon said:

No heavy teamwork perks deserves to be strong because all it does is hurting solo while meaninglessly buffing SWFs.

Tbh, I included them because they also were a unique survivor perk concept that failed, like boons and invocations. I don't really care about them, but I tried to make them better anyway.

And, just my opinion, SWF can abuse almost anything, but your argument is fair.

Imo they are beyond saving, but I tried.

  • @jonifire said:

I start with invocations: I would make them trade one hook state afterwards and they only need 90s. I think this would make them good.

Then teamwork perks should just activate by being in a certain range like leader without cooldown. Otherwise I still won‘t use them. Same goes for bloodpact.

I keep the boon part short, because I wrote it longer in the other post. All of the perk need bigger changes. The boons shouldn‘t be that loud and shouldn’t require a perk to make them quiet (I would hate behavior if they do that).

Dark theory would become even more useless as invocation.

I like your idea with the more boon perks you got the bigger the range becomes.

I don‘t think most people would equip those perks with those changes. They are still far too weak.

There is a problem with all 3 categories, and that is that they're either OP or useless.

Too bad, because I like the concepts.

And with Dark Theory, I more or less tried to create balanced Made For This.

  • @SoGo said:

So, it's not a secret that unique survivor perk types are usually not so good. With the release of All Things Wicked and Invocations, I decided to take a look at and try to help this "unholy trinity": Boons, Invocations and Teamwork perks.

    Boons:

    Negatives:

    • Have to be set up and can be snuffed by killers.

    • Can be heard from a mile away, give a global audio cue when set and can be seen shimmering.

    Changes:

+ Remove the global audio cue and give it to Shattered Hope only. (In this form, it can even become directional)

    + The boon's area of effect becomes 4 meters bigger for each boon perk in your loadout (1 = 24 m, 2 = 28 m, 3 = 32 m, 4 = 36 m)

    Circle of healing:

100% bonus to healing speed, if:

    • You don't use a medkit

    • You heal others, not yourself

You can also see injured survivors in the boon's radius

    Exponential:

    • You can recover 100% faster

    • You can recover from the dying state

    Shadow Step:

    • Your scratch marks dissappear (lingers for 4 seconds after leaving the boon)

    Changes:

    • All of these are fine in their current versions and the changes to boons overall benefit them all

    Dark Theory:

    • You are 2% faster (lingers for 4 seconds after leaving the boon)

    Changes:

    • Make this perk an Invocation instead. (Takes 120 seconds, applies Broken to the user, speeds up every survivor)

+ Buff the speed boost to 3%

    Illumination:

    • You see all generators and chests

    • You cleanse/bless totems 10% faster

    Changes:

+ Add totems to the list of things you can see with this boon.

    Teamwork perks:

    Negatives:

    • Work only when in 12 meters of the other person

    • Have a 2 minute cooldown

    Changes:

+ Decrease the cooldown to 30 seconds or less

    Blood Pact:

(I am adding it here because the requirements are almost identical)

    • Works only when you are not the Obsession

    • Gives 7% haste if you are in 16 meters of eachother after healing the Obsession or being healed by them

    Rework:

    • This perk works only when you are the Obsession.

    • Survivors see your aura when they're injured

    • Healing someone gives both you and the other survivor 7% Haste as long as you remain less than 16 meters away from eachother

    • Increases your chances of being the Obsession

    Power of Two:

    • Only works when you heal someone

    • Gives 5% Haste

    Change:

+ Works now also when getting healed

    Collective Stealth:

    • Works only when you get healed

    • Hides scratch marks

    Change:

    • Works when unhooking someone or getting unhooked instead.

    Invocations:

    Negatives:

    • Take 120 seconds to finish

    • Have to be done in the basement

    • Regress almost instantly when interrupted

    Changes:

    • Either shorten the time needed to complete the Invocation to 90 seconds or make it so uncomplete Invocations regress at a rate of - 1 c/s (or both)

    Weaving Spiders:

    • Gives Broken

    • Removes 10 charges needed to complete each unfinished gen

    Changes:

+ Increase the amount of charges removed to 15 per gen

+ Make it so it applies to blocked gens as well

    Other perks:

    Shattered Hope

    • Any boon totem you snuff, gets broken

+ When a boon is set up, you get a directional audio cue

    New survivor perk: Silent Blessing

    • Booned totems become 50% quieter

This is my draft of how the boons and other unique survivor perks could be helped.

    Feel free to comment

  • My idea:

Make it so she can't camp hooks.

    And make her 4.6 m/s

  • @jonifire said:

They should bring back lightburn and make that it applies for the problematic killers and those who already had it.

Honestly, bringing it back, (especially for Nurse ) would be great.

  • If I stomp them heavily or there's that one very new and inexperienced player that I keep finding.

I feel bad for you. The feedback in dbd on both ends can be very discouraging. Especially when you out of your way to be nice.

As a seasoned Pig main, i definitely understand your struggle.

Im currently experimenting with weird and unusual builds because I feel super burned out. The only feedback I get is either:

    • im bad at the game for trying to win
    • I should use strong stuff

At the end of the day, you cant please anybody. You should try to find your own fun, whatever that may look like.

Some people will dislike you for literally looking at them, some for you bringing strong sutff, some for you not bringing strong stuff and some just out of spite because they had a bad day and want to let it out on an anonymous person online.

I mostly respond to these people:

"If you have to let off some steam, do it. I can take it. If it help you out, thats fine with me."

    Just dont go too far.

Its the same with the devs, too.

They put out a good killer perk:

    KILLER TOO OP NERF ASAP!!!

They put out a good survivor perk:

SURVIVOR OP I CANT KILL ANYONE!!!!

    But yeah, It feels rough.

I played as a 8 hook jumpscare Myers multiple times, sometimes the survivors are glad they aren't tunneled and sometimes they shame me fro being bad.

Like, you can be grateful I didn't bring Infinite Tombstone.

  • @Man_of_triangles said:

I stopped playing her after a few matches because of how clunky placing the crows could be. As a survivor I have no opinion on her because she is so rare that she isn't worth thinking about.

The crows placement on elevations is very annoying.

  • I like to play as the red ink birb lady.

    I like sniping.

    I like her design.

I am an Artist main, so...

Also, Hawkins is her probably worst map.

  • Give hatch or more often, exit gates to survivors under certain conditions.

    I'm also avoiding tunneling/camping.

And as Jumpscare Myers, I 2 hook everyone and let everyone go.

  • There are and will be people like that, so yeah....

Some people just don't want to use them.

  • I dont think so.

This year we receved Alien, Chucky, Alan Wake and (correct me if I'm wrong) Nick Cage.

There were many licences brought into the game this year. I think they will stick to the original content for this one.

Can't wait for you to bring that energy to my casual teammates who are just here for BP event..

    The Paradox of DBD.

When you play casual, you get the sweats.

  • No way, a good use of Weaving Spiders?

Too bad this is a bug, not a feature.

  • Yes, I hate the fact that when using the fast purchase option, I get mostly useless crap. I still habe to buy the things I need manually.

So yeah, this change would be delightful

  • I enjoy playing stealthily, mostly because I suck at chases.

It's also funny to see the killer just walk right past me.

One good match I remember was against a Doctor, there was 1 gen left and there was 1 gen on 90% (this was before the regression cap).

I was actively hiding and trying to fix the gen, and he just kept circling around it and not finding me.

I died at the exit gates, but still, it was a good match.

  • Depends on who is against you.

Pretty solid, and very good escape rate.

Strength in Shadows, Wicked, Reassurance, We'll Make It

Probably a 20-30% escape rate, I prioritise getting the rest of the team out over me.

    7/10 I like this build.

My most used one is probably:

Streetwise, Kindred, Deja Vu, We'll Make It

Sometimes I like to put Balanced Landing in it.

    30% escape rate at best.

  • I'm glad they care about making the event worth it.

  • Just make it so survivors see eachother's loadouts during the loading screen, and during the game as well.

It's not a new feature, DBD Mobile has it.

    Please, BHVR.

  • Yup, no idea why it exists

Having basekit Coup on killer after using a blood fountain is pretty gnarly... so that's fun.

Survivors kinda got shafted though, only got hide bonuses... and it raises a question of why you would ever give the Killer a Coup lunge by activating your mountain in exchange for basekit Iron Will...

Bloodpoints don't seem to be rolling in like they said... msybe when the bonuses cone in, but not sure the community is gonna hit the targets, cause it looks pretty slow going thus far.

    Tier 3 Myers goes weee

  • @DrHyk said:

Invocation Weaving spiders: I think a great way to buff this to somewhat make it seem worth the risk, make grunts of pain either silent or much quieter, also, giving them the ability to see Gens and/or being able to pick themselves up like no mither, because as it stands, the perk is useless, being injured for the remainder of the game doesn't offer a true reward even in skilled swfs.

Hell, even granting a boost in running speed like made for this would make more interesting plays

It would be interesting if Boon: Dark Theory was reworked into an Invocation, giving 3% Haste when completed.

  • @Mooks said:

To be fair, the blood moon theme is cool.

yeah. Well. That’s it though. Could have easily incorporated that into anniversary or something else..

I agree. Replacing the LNY event with this is lame, especially if it stays like this.

  • Hope they'll fix it along with the Eye offering

  • Eh, never considered buying skins for real money, I'll rather buy a DLC. I don't buy even regular skins as I don't have Iri shards to spare, so paid skins are a no-no for me.

But yeah, it sucks that some cosmetics are accesible through paying real money only.

The pretty Mikaela Blood Moon cosmetic and the Rift Nea are both good looking and real money only.

    :(

  • Please remove the Airlock Doors offering and let the Alien Flora work for both Toba Landing and Nostromo

  • @Pulsar said:

This perk is genuinely one of, if not the worst, perk ever released.

    It's so inefficient it's insane.

When No Mither sounds like a better alternative (you know, THE meme perk) there is a problem.

  • Survivors respect works a bit like this:

You tunnel, camp, have 4 slowdowns, play Nurse/Blight/Spirit/Skull Merchant = 0 out of 5 respect points

You play normally, don't camp or tunnel, play less strong or not hated killers = 1 - 3 out of 5 respect points depending on toxicity of them.

You play for memes ( Jumpscare Myers, Friendly Pig etc.) = 3 - 5 out of 5 respect points again depending on how toxic they are.

But most survivors, especially solo q, are glad when you don't tunnel at 5 gens with 4 slowdown Nurse.

  • There is no reason and I mean it, to not show your teammates loadouts during the loading screen.

Not in the lobby, during the loading screen and during the game in the Esc menu (where you can see offerings and ping)

DBD Mobile has it, so it won't be hard to implement.

You can't lobby dodge because you're in the game already.

    Problem solved.

  • It's bright, it's full of clutter (those goddamn dead bushes), killers like Trapper, Billy, Hag are M1 only on this map.

  • Probably Portrait of a Murder, the perks are overall better, and Artist is more fun than Knight imo.

  • Not a bad idea, imo.

It would make proxycamping harder, the antifacecamp system slightly more effective...

    in Hooks Comment by SoGo
  • The most chaotic and wonky map there is.

    RPD doesn't even come close.

  • @Nos37 said:

Pulled off a successful Weaving Spiders, stayed alive for about 8-10 minutes before dying, died and got ~7,000 Bloodpoints. It's ridiculous.

The perk should give more bloodpoints for succesfully completing, or it could give a Bloodpoint bonus multiplier like old We're Gonna Live Forever.

It should give atleast a big bloodpoints boost like the White Glyph.

Both require you to go out of your way to get them to work and to go into the basement.

Completed White Glyph Mirror (+escape) gives you 25k bloodpoints. A successfull Invocation could give atleast 5 - 7k or more.

  • @xEa said:

A simple and fair PR change:

    • Increase the number of Scourge hooks to 5.
    • Decrease the regression from 25% to 20%.

Perfect. No more annoying RNG for Killer and no more missing out on PR hooks. More ballanced out regression for survivor.

    How about that?

    Fine by me.

  • If only they made weapons which have different colours....

  • @Halloulle said:

well, since there isn't anything here yet I'll start off by saying that I sadly haven't been able to form any kind of opinion so far cause six out of six Unknowns have been camping and tunneling buttholes. - Well, I suppose that's one take away: Tunneling seems to be incredibly easy with this killer.

    It's an overall issue.

  • It would not hurt anyone if Invocation: WS was 15 charges and not 10, only make the perk a bit more appealing. The -5 extra seconds won't harm anyone, come on BHVR.

Strength in Shadows is good. And will be better after the big boom around the chapter stops. I'm satisfied.

Wicked... The aura reveal part, great. The basement unhook is also good imo.

So overall, these perks are decent. I like them.
