”People who use the tools of the game to prevent their teammates from being killed can go to hell”
lol. Would you say the same about killers who stack 4 slowdowns against solo q?
Not use, but abuse. No other word fits that type of playstyle.
And don't try to make me seem one sided, stacking 4 slowdowns on a strong killer seems wildly unnessesary to me.

This game has a lot of stuff to iron out especially with old content however slowly they are improving it. Small things like Bubba getting purple chili basekit ,healing perks getting buffed, long cooldown perks getting buffs ( TOT, oppression, dragons grip, machine learning,). Perks like leverage and thwack went from useless to pretty good. I am looking forward to see what improvements and buffs they have for 2025
The stuff could be ironed out faster, if the devs weren't focused on releasing as many chapters per year as possible, with most of them having samey powers and a plethora of issues that would not happen if they let the chapter in the oven longer.
-
Looks fine to me.
Although, I'd make the other effects (deafening, slower recovery, Hindered) be permanent until healed to injured.
Anyway, this rework could be worth a shot.
-
I think that we should minimize chapters straying away from horror.
I'd much rather see another original chapter than an popular but non-horror license.
-
Don't be so sure.
He hasn't even hit live yet.
However, I do agree with you that most of the Skull Merchant hate came from her 3-gen days.
-
So uno reverse against flashlights?
Edit:
Oh, wait, it wouldn't work against flashlight saves.
No.
The 3/4 flashlight sqads can go to hell, Lightborn is the only way to counter them without an aneurysm.

chucky got pig treatment.
Eeh, I think his changes have more in common with Freddy's more than Pig's.
Both had some unique elements of their power almost removed (Dream Transition/Scamper) and recieved changes to their anti-loop as buffs.
And then they got their anti-loop nerfed, for a.... reason I guess.
-
This whole thing is starting to get out of hand for them.
People from BHVR, if any of you are reading this, make an official statement about the Junji Ito collection being unavailable soon, if you don't want death messages to be sent to you. People are mad, it's the best time to start doing damage control fast.
-
As expected, the Freddy treatment hit him hard.
-
The tutorial should be 100% improved.
Also, there should be descriptions of all killer powers in the game manual or somewhere else in game.
-
The reason can be frankly anything, but probably not what OP is suggesting.
But, posts like these are a good reason why BHVR should make a statement about it to clear things up. If they won't, people will start creating theories.

Somebody already created a thread for this in bug reports and was told this wasn't a bug. If it's intentional, then it's a poor design decision and I believe it should be reconsidered.
Playing as Sadako and Xenomorph is so painful during events considering both Screech Cobbler and Mistletoe increase the chest spawns, making your TVs/Control Stations even further away from generators. It feels like being punished for daring to select them when people might bring a chest offering.
As someone who loves playing both Sadako and Xenomorph, please make it so I can bear to play them during events.

Cosmetics have become better and better with time, that can't be denied. However, lately we've had a little bit of a letdown regarding this. At first the legendary skins provided substantial changes to the appearance of characters, sometimes even giving them new voicelines and sounds. Then we looked at DBD mobile, where skins started comming with their own special moris. Then that made its way to the main game with Naughty Bear, for instance, having a mori of his own. Some other killers soon followed, such as Were-Elk huntress and True Form Dracula.
With the new bar being set, we get Ultimate Houndmaster, no special mori but the power changes its appearance. And then we get to the Junju Ito collection, with legendary skins that look good but appart from that don't bring anything new but looks and sounds. No power image changed, no special moris.
Perhaps it's just me, but I really expected something more from the collaboration. I don't say it isn't good, I just say that it could be better.
And by the way, seeing how Freddy has received some attention lately, I still hope that a Robert Englund skin may end up comming to the game someday.
The new Junji Ito cosmetics fit the Legendary quotas, being different characters with unique sounds and animations.
The ones you are talking about (Were-Elk, Naughty Bear, True Form) are Visceral. This is a newer sub-rarity that also includes a unique mori.
Ultimate Houndmaster is overpriced and doesn't fit the Visceral or Legendary checkboxes. It should be Ultra Rare.

All very true, but the money is in new content, not so much in fixing old content.
So I don't think anyone should hold their breath waiting for DBD to be "fixed".
But to be totally fair, I think what people mean by "fixed" varies greatly, especially when it comes to balancing. This game is simply too all over the place for everyone (or even most people) to be wholly satisfied with it.
True, but money can also come in from gaining new players. Not those who will come and then leave, the new chapters/events do that, but keeping them here. And this can only be achieved by making the game more enjoyable, a.k.a focusing on quality over quantity.

I was going through my head which I can't even begin to cover it all but……
This game still needs so many killers either adjusted, balanced, or reworked entirely.
Maps need updates and reworks desperately.
All Perks on both sides really need a comb through. Most need to be buffed.
Graphics need to be updated.
In game general bugs still need to be ironed out.
Houndmaster's still needs attention. The dog is still buggy, snug gets stuck, still pulls survivors away from me, decides not to search, the search detection zone is still too small. I will ask snug to vault, and he doesn't. Of course, when I don't ask him to vault at times, he does…
Plague is a weird hot mess with her bugs.
Certain models of survivors really need to be updated in their graphics
The solo queue experience still needs a lot of work. Survivors should know which perks are activated for certain situations.
There's just so much that needs to be done and while I am all for the new content that keeps coming, it's just getting harder and harder to keep up with all of this stuff. To be honest - that's the issue, it's falling behind and some of it just gets swept under the table especially if it doesn't have an initial $ on it. Such as Freddy's Rework. I presume that's why it too so long to finally get changes such as these that we have on the PTB right now and sadly, they are changes that our main Freddy Player GeneralV its extremely disappointed in.
I can NOT imagine waiting 6 years for your beloved Killer you admire to be reworked only to be so sadden by the changes….again they you lose hope. I truly feel for him.
Please BHVR - SLOW DOWN.
AGREE!!!!
Slow down the chapter release schedule to 3 per year, one every 4 months. We have enough stuff in the game already.
And then BHVR can spend the time this frees up fixing the game.
-
@Alicia_Tried6041 said:
Ignoring all killer mains commenting because they want nothing more than to keep the unfair advantage killers have compared to survivors. BHVR it's time you start giving survivors buffs as well.
Spoke like a true survivor main.
I see that you won't change your mind unless you get your way.
Bye.
-
Use Lithe or Dramaturgy if Sprint Burst is "too weak" for you.
-
Looks like to me they just couldn't get some of these countries to agree with it or something, but I could be wrong.
The issue is, that if the devs won't do anything and won't say anything about it, the playerbase will just pick the option they think is true, which can be anything.
-
Snares are alright, it's an upgrade to what he had before.
Pallets have been somehow made even worse.
Projection needs to be cancelable again.
And Waking Up by failing skill checks or being put into the dying state shouldn't be a thing.
-
I already found an issue with it.
It just stops you after reaching prestige 1, which sucks, because you can either run out of add-ons, offerings or not unlock the perks you want on the character.
Suggestion to fix this:
Make it so you get the infinite Level 50 bloodweb on that killer after reaching prestige 1. If it's an issue, then make it so everything bought after this point will not be kept in the killers loadout after you buy them.
Voila, problem solved.
-
Wait, what?
Is this a joke?
-
Glad they stopped calling it a feature.
Edit: Ok, nvm, they still do. :(

Now the duration is a bit more consistent which is nice I guess, but if you manage to have bloodlust for a very long duration (which you shouldn't btw), this Perk then doesn't really do anything.
Even the bloodpoint boost got removed…
I don't get it, why didn't you just completely rework the Perk? That effect was bad and now is even worse in some cases. The Perk will only be used by Adept Huntress' and nobody else like it was now, nothing changes, really just a waste of "programming" time.
Ngl, that one is hilarious.
🤣

Let's see how it plays out. Can't survivors just choose not to heal if they are in the Dream World? It doesn't seem like that strong of a buff against smarter survivors.
Exactly!

I’m going to love it if I’m reading everything right. I hope they didn’t take away cat block that would suck.
It seems like they made it partially basekit so I assume that it will be adjusted to increase the KI range. I don't think it will get a new effect.

Trapper, dear friend of everyone. Tell me he's going to get a full rework… lol
Or Hag, for that matter.
Both of them are very likely to be left as they are for the years to come.
-
The whole lore problem wouldn't be an issue, if we would just give him back his OG Dream Transition mechanic instead of the walmart version of it we got with this update.
-
I didn't know about this issue and I hope that BHVR will do something about this.
-
People were biased because of the hell she brought into the game, and stayed salty since.
She also had 6? 7? (Idk) status effects at her disposal basekit.
For Freddy, countering his power is still easy: Blow up a gen/use a clock/find a teammate and DON'T HEAL WHILE ASLEEP.
-
This could be solved if the tutorial for survivors contained an explanation on how each killer's power works.
At least a rough outline of mechanics associated with the killer.
Having to search for outside sources to understand how a killer works is insane.
Other than that, I don't think complex powers ever were or will be an issue. They simply require more effort to counter than just "hold W and predrop".

Leprose Lichen, a Demogorgon addon, use to have map-wide Aura Reading, upon teleporting through a Portal, youd get Aura Reading during the teleport animation and it would linger for a few seconds after the teleport was done.
Survivors could destroy Portals meaning the value of this addon was based on your Portal placement which created an interesting and skillful dynamic with good macro play would be rewarded with Aura Reading.
BHVR later nerfed this addon because it was "too powerful and a free perk slot" despite it coming with the downside of being tied to Portals thus it could be clunky to use or be destroyed.
BHVR gave us a look at some of the changes for Freddy's rework… and yea…

That's awesome. That's cool. Can you guys please revert the Leprose Lichen nerf? Please?
I don't see an issue, why not. :)

Much like the rework of the Twin that was complained by survivors and then reverted everything or get later nerfed.
It hasn't been tested on PTB yet, but people are already complaining that the new Freddy is OP.
I hope not
-
Yeah, the whole direction of this rework is odd at the very least.
Especially the new Snares.
-
Removing the whole waking up by faling a skill check thing is a no. 1 change that should happen.

it means blood warden triggers immediately instead of when you go to exit gate, it gets blocked. it is a nerf.
the only buff in his rework is red paint brush. 32 meter wall hack is biggest buff for him. they might even nerf red paint brush because casual player will say Perma wall-hack is unfair. this add-on+teleporting onto injured survivor. it is like global nurse calling. global hit & run but no stealth since old freddy had low tr. this has lullaby.
I'd say it'll be fine.
Them removing the ability to shut down waking up via skill checks is a travesty.
-
He only has 5 tokens?
For both things?
And (I assume) no add-ons to get more?
Well that's not good.

Tombstone Piece (the purple, more busted one) is still really powerful despite the nerf.
Judith's Tombstone (the red, less broken one) got overnerfed.

i'd want more instant down killers. i hoping fnaf and whatever chapters that appear next year are instant down killers.
It would be nice to get one of these again…
-
I want him:
• To be reverted to his original version with the ability to pull survivors into the dream world
• Skill checks to no longer wake up survivors
• A lot of illusion things like dream pallets, totems, breakable walls, chests, maybe even gens
• To be allowed to teleport to finished gens.
• To have some other, unique mechanics and add-ons.

Guess it's time for the ol' reliable:

the conjuring universe is a joke tho, i'm ok with a nun killer, there are plenty of religious horror out there so a demonic nun is nothing new, but don't link it to that joke of universe which is just a collection of jumpscares
A bit late to this, but I agree. The Conjuring series in itself isn’t that bad, but The Nun movies are both garbage.
One game that uses a nun as a villain that I’d like to see in DBD, is Evil Nun: The Broken Mask.
I also saw a post or two with interesting concepts.
-
Agree.
-
Give him a 15% pallet break reduction for Tier III, an button activation of tiering up, and an add-on pass.

Decent changes. Especially the camuflage mechanic for traps, I personally would make it into an addon, but I had some other changes that would be made to him alongside that.
