Get this map out of here. It shouldn't have been released in this state at all.
-
Ah yes, giving a Killer free 4Ks is totally the way to discourage people from playing them.
Even if this is just a troll post, you have to realize how stupid that sounds.

Unless 4.5.1 changed something or it's bugged, the hook counter was counting hook states instead of actual hooks for me. I haven't played on 4.5.1 yet, but every Killer game I had during 4.5.0 would have it showing 12 hooks even when I knew for certain I didn't get that many. When a Survivor would kill themselves on hook, I would see the counter go up even though I wasn't doing anything. This also happened when they were the last one left and the game was automatically killing them. I even had two Survivors DC right before their second hook and the counter still went up. That's useless to me because I know what hook state a Survivor is on 99% of the time and a disconnected Survivor is already out of the game. Why is the game telling me something that I already know? I don't even know if this is counting towards my Emblems because of them being bugged right now. Is every game with four sacrifices now an automatic Iridescent Devout because the game thinks I'm getting more than nine hooks? If not, then what the hell is the purpose of this counter?! It's doing nothing but tell me what I already know!
-
That's exactly what he wants you to do lol. Go do the gens and leave that Survivor punishes any Killer who camps. You're falling for the obvious bait and then complaining about it.
-
I love it as Killer when it's not buggy. Low amount of pallets and the gens are usually close together.
-
My only experiences with Jack are from Resident Evil Re:Verse (their new multiplayer game) and hearing people talk about being chased by him. From what I've heard and seen, he didn't really seem all that special. He just seems like a crazy human that's strong and carries a big weapon (if he's not and there's actually something more about him, please don't spoil me with the details as I am looking to start the game soon so I can be caught up in time for RE8).
I think Nemesis would be better because he has so much to work with and you can come up with a bunch of ideas. Looking at the various incarnations of him, you've got tentacles, the roar stun (pretty sure it's only in the remake), a rocket launcher, a flamethrower (remake), and a minigun (movie, if they go that route for whatever reason) to work with, all of which are firsts for DBD. Imagine running to a jungle gym thinking you'll be safe only to see Nemesis burn it with his flamethrower and block it off! Or you try getting behind an object like a small box or rock only for his tentacle to smack you upside the head! Obviously these aren't final and we'd need to make sure his power is balanced, but there's so much potential there.

Imagine hitting Nemesis or one of the Tyrants with a pallet and them caring.
It would piss them off even more (or in Nemesis's case, it might amuse him because of how intelligent he is). Pyramid Head sounds angry when he gets stunned, so why can't the Tyrants?
-
The age ratings aren’t there to stop kids from playing the game lol. All they do is tell you what to expect in the game and force the kid to have an adult with them or buy it digitally. I was playing games like Mortal Kombat at eight years old, the ratings didn’t stop me lol.
-
I hate them if they're my teammates but love them if I'm Killer. They think they're so amazing and can wreck the Killer but go down so quickly. Let me guess, a bunch of them also DC or suicide because the Killer is "overpowered"?
Also, it's not being stealthy people have a problem with. It's Survivors using it to justify crouching around doing nothing. A stealthy Survivor that does objectives and helps the team is a big help and is wanted by many people. What people hate is a Survivor that crouches around the map (usually with Urban) not helping with objectives or hides the moment they hear the terror radius.
-
360s, no matter how counterable they are, are an exploit that needs to be completely removed. Exploits that hurt the performance of two platforms (in this case last gen consoles) should have no place in this game. Not everyone is lucky or rich enough to get a PS5 or Series X.
-
I think that this rework was rushed. The breakable walls creating dead ends doesn't make up for it because those walls are often blocking off important pathways for the Killer. Hook distribution already wasn't the best on The Game, but it's even worse with the rework.
-
That's why I love getting them, except for The Game because of all the super safe pallets on it now (his shock can only do so much against some of them) and Survivors being able nullify the skillcheck build by mastering those types of skill checks (I don't like Survivors being able to nullify my perk builds, it's the reason I don't typically run Hexes). Give me Hawkins or Swamp and I'm a happy Killer.
@6yXJI0 said:
Hawkins and Swamp aren't small
Hawkins is the fifth smallest map in the game. Swamp often has gens close to each other and a low amount of pallets and vaults. Considering one of the counters to Doc is to drop pallets early, it's not uncommon to have a huge open area devoid of pallets.
-
Resident Evil with Nemesis as the Killer and Alien with a Xenomorph Killer.
-
They're invisible and silent until you get really close. I really hate challenges that are luck based, they're not very fun in any game. The glyphs should either be visible from a much greater distance or they need to be much louder.
-
I take it you weren’t around during the Lunar New Year 2018 event? Right around the beginning of that event, what you’re asking for was possible.
99% of the community of hated it and it was removed shortly after. I think it’s safe to say that this will never return (fortunately).
-
I think they rushed this rework. They just threw some things together, pushed it out for 4.5.0, and called it a day.
-
Yeah, hooked Survivor hitboxes are definitely bigger now. I tried angling my swing away from the hooked Survivor but I still hit them. It's like their hitbox is so big that it's overlapping with the rescuer's.
-
I won't be surprised if the normal amount is closer to 30 (not counting breakable walls) and you just got lucky. Add in the walls and you've got around 40 pallets/walls on the map. The walls also sometimes block off paths to hooks, so it's either leave them up to trap Survivors but struggle to get to hooks or kick them so you can get to hooks but you can't trap Survivors there anymore and gives them more opportunities to loop you. The Game already had issues with hook generation, but the rework made it even worse.
-
The only problem I've had with him since the new patch is distinguishing Madness levels on the UI for Survivors that aren't running in front of me. The Madness 2 and 3 icons look to be the same except 3 seems to flicker more often. Everything else like weird attacks and getting caught on things more easily are general Killer problems.

to get a mercilles you need to (preferably) get all of the hooks + other categories maxed out, which i did. You can't get max points without doing everything perfectly
The Emblem system doesn't care about Bloodpoints. You can get less than 32k and still get a Merciless. Bloodpoints were only used for ranking purposes early in the game's life (like 2016 to mid-2017).
-
That bug where it showed the next rank you would reach instead of your current one seems to have returned. This only happened once last night and I’m not sure how to replicate it.
-
Wow. They took laziness to the next level this time.
-
YES! ######### that Autohaven bus bug!
-
People are using him before he gets nerfed. It's not because the myth about him having a longer lunge suddenly became true (the wonky hits are a problem with ALL Killers, not just Freddy).
-
The Emblems are also broken again. Iridescent Devout seems to be impossible to earn (just like with the Twins update, except it's on all Killers).
@FregglesFred said:
how do you make a patch delay for 4 weeks. And it still blows lmao
Imagine if they hadn't delayed the patch.
-
Wait what’s wrong with the bus? Haven’t played on Autohaven with the new update.

Yeah... I'm done with survivor until hitboxes get fixed and and 360s are back. These maps have too many dead zones and the removal of 360s just makes me stand still and wait for death because I know there's nothing I can even try to do about it anymore. I know 360ing didn't always help. But it was better than just having literally nothing.
Already back at rank 1 with killer and loving how easy it is to gimp people with the broken hitboxes. Maybe all I have to do is be a toxic killer and the playerbase will start to die off and the devs might notice that.
So you’re upset because something that’s technically an exploit and could really hurt last gen consoles is gone? Just wiggle from side to side. Nowhere near an exploit, doesn’t hurt last gen consoles nearly as much, and most importantly, it’s more effective.
-
Because they’re being nice for whatever reason (there’s multiple). Personally, I just laugh and smack the Survivor upside the head. Everyone goes on that hook.
-
Because the devs were lazy and just threw out pallet and breakable wall locations.
-
The graphics on the reworked maps look good.
Demogorgon’s new outfit looks good. The head and arms can make some really interesting combos with its previous outfit. You can make it look like Demo is starting to mutate into a new form.
-
Way too many safe pallets and breakable walls. At first I thought that maybe the pallets were safe against strictly M1 Killers and that anti-loop Killers could stop them but nope. You have to break them unless you’re Nurse or Spirit. They’re actual god pallets. I knew something was fishy once the devs announced The Game was getting updated, but I wasn’t sure why I felt like that at the time. Now I know why. The devs got lazy and just threw a bunch of breakable walls and pallets there and called it a day. I’m scared to see Crotus Prenn now.
Also I might have just gotten unlucky but hooks are much harder to get to even after I kicked the walls. I wouldn’t be surprised if every Survivor I faced got their wiggle bar to at least 50% full. Two sacrifices on the second floor and that was pretty much it. An entire section of that floor became completely devoid of hooks. If the last Survivor hadn’t given up I would have been unable to hook her. The Survivors didn’t use an oak offering.
-
I think people are getting so upset over the fact that the devs seem hellbent on keeping this new UI which 99% of the playerbase does not like. It was pushed to live to give console players a chance to try it out and see if they liked it, but then the devs say that they can’t go back to the old one. Seems like a big “######### you” to the playerbase.
Some of the complaints are absolutely insane though. The way some people acting over 360s of all things has me wondering if they were some super secret technique that gave you immortality or something.
-
They removed 360s? Yes! Good riddance to something that really hurt last gen consoles due to poor optimization. I just wish they had done this sooner, before I upgraded to the PS5.
-
@Liqhtninq said:
I play on series x and get no frame drops?
PS5 and Series X are so strong that they’re able to brute force their way through the game’s poor optimization. Last gen (PS4 and XB1) aren’t strong enough to do so. It runs great for me on PS5 but absolutely terrible on PS4.
-
I wonder if they somehow built the patch around the new UI so removing it would take a really long time. If they do remove it, I’d expect them to do so with the next chapter.
-
Holy crap what the hell happened to Demo?!

You sound bitter. Are you a Doctor main?
No and yes. I’m a Doc main but I’m not bitter. I’m either annoyed or amused by them. If I was bitter my post would have been worded differently.
-
Oh they do. He’s just not top priority yet. They’ve called him easy to play and uncounterable. Both of his shocks can apparently be spammed without penalty. Once Freddy and Spirit are nerfed, him and Deathslinger will likely be the next victims of the Survivor nerf campaigns.
I think Doctor isn’t their top priority is because of how much easier it is to play Freddy.

Efficient? They're already dead lol. Decorating the corpses is purely a pleasure aspect.
But does he bring his victims back to life just to continue hurting them? And does he offer himself as a test subject?
-
The Entity messes with the Killers before fully bringing them in. Freddy's lore even says that his powers were changed. If they weren't, then what's to stop him from using his full power and tormenting the Survivors for hours? Nemesis/Mr. X and Pennywise would be subjected to the same treatment.
Also Nemesis wouldn't mind being in something like DBD because of one of his mission objectives (gather combat data for Umbrella to sell) and his sadistic personality.
-
Pyramid Head was born from guilt and desire, while Doctor just woke up one morning and said "I'm going to torture people!". Not denying that PH is sadistic, but Doctor did everything because he wanted to. He's a really evil person.
-
It’s a great idea! It’s not a massive problem for setup and stealth Killers as a Survivor can’t constantly provide updates on them or their traps (this was a problem for all Killers, but it hurt some more than others).
-
I would love to see RE in this game. It’d be even better if it had Nemesis as the Killer.
-
I’m really liking these changes and hope they all go through. They solve most of my problems with the perks. The only problem they didn’t directly solve is DS after the gates are powered but that might not be as big of a deal anymore because not many Survivors will want to use a perk slot just to stun the Killer once at the end of the game.
-
The problem with locker DS is that they can work on gens and just jump into a locker when you get close by. Now touching a gen deactivates DS, so that Survivor will either lose their DS or be doing nothing useful for 60 seconds.
-
I’m so happy right now, just give me the next chapter already. Good riddance DS and OoO!

Legion making those teenager huffing noises when he runs. Why wouldn't any adult survivor could just turn around, smack the knife from those pubescent hands and give him a wedgie?
David just needs to Dead Hard into Legion and then punch him or her hard.
-
Doctor is guilty. He likes experimenting on people until they die and bringing them back to life to repeat the process all over again until your body is useless to him. It's no wonder the Entity took a liking to him.
-
There is console optimization! It costs a minimum of $399.99 and will likely come with a headache from being in the checkout page for years. What do you mean it's sold out? Just go to eBay and pay $1,000 for one!
Disclaimer: BHVR is not responsible for any broken devices caused by mashing the checkout button.
Last gen will likely never get optimization now that both PS5s and Xbox Series X have released and are able to run DBD well. Any optimization will have to be the game magically fixing itself.
-
Doctor. Loved playing him even before his rework.
