I think the problem with building Nemesis into a sprint is that that's… Boring. It's not interesting, we have twelve of that sort of power, and it's not really an interesting part of the Nemesis if we had to choose one thing to add. The Nemesis is a mutative, adaptive, intelligent pursuer, surely we can come up with something more compelling than a run button, right? We could give him an information feature or actually change some of his options at different stages of mutation, something.
The Nemesis doesn't even just use his weapons to fire at Jill—He burns or explodes escape routes from a distance, he uses them to keep Jill from escaping, he uses them in interesting ways that play into the most compelling part of his role in RE3. He doesn't necessarily need a gigantic missile launcher so long as what he gets is something that lets him do interesting things and cut survivors off in more interesting ways than just being a big guy that's already standing where they wanna go.
Honestly, i'm fine with whatever they decide to do with Nemmy as long as they don't give it any weaponry from his game.
-
I'd rather give him an addon rework that incorporates more of his sprint ability than giving him a rocket launcher or any other form of weaponry.
-
The return of the removed Survivor turning locomotion of the updated Survivor movement from the 4.5.0 ptb
The return of Xeno's ptb chase music and a QOL update to it's power that gives it an addon which allows it to wall crawl.
A second Alan Wake chapter.
Further removal of techs from both sides.
-
Since Nemesis is the tallest they can make a killer within the regular game mode, she would have her height reduced down to the same size as Nemesis is.

But there's already a sound there for the tier up so how would it be a nerf? That other music would be way cooler for a tier up and then leave the tier three que the way it is, I think you're misunderstanding what I mean , I don't mean stalk music I mean use this music as the sound when he hits tier two instead of the sound that's already there
Yes, i misunderstood you, i thought you meant have the stinger play for all Survivors to hear whenever Myers is stalking a Survivor.
However, i'm still gonna disagree with the idea using the stinger over what we currently have as the current tier up sound is perfectly fitting enough as it is and doesn't need to be replaced but something that feels less fitting for when leveling up a tier.
Again, just use the stinger for when Myers is stalking Survivors and have it be audible only to him, that's all they really need to do, anything else is completely needless.

Or make it to where that's the sound que for him leaving tier 1, I definitely don't want to nerf Myers but this sound needs to be brought back, you could even make it like a small buff where when he leaves tier one this sound plays to all and he stays undetectable until it's over but during that short time he has his tier 2 benefits and it leaves survivors wondering if he's right there on the other side of the wall or not
It would still be a nerf to Myers in the end.
Regardless of how you do it, if you give Survivors a sound cue that alerts them to the killer's presence, they will check their surroundings and quickly run away as soon as they see you looking at them since it's not hard to spot Myers in the distance, it doesn't matter if you make it into something that all Survivors can hear regardless if you're actually nearby or not, the outcome will be the same no matter what.
It has to be audible only to Myers no matter what, it is the only way you can bring it back in anyway without turning it into a nerf in the process.

As an original DBD player, i genuinely hope we never get the old art style back or any of the other old stuff, i never could stand the ugly as ######### ps2 graphics nor any of the color filters from the old iterations of the maps, especially coldwind with it's horribly ugly yellow piss colored filter.

Good idea… Let's just get it back in the game in any form. I wish a dev could shine some light on why it was removed to begin with… Even if only the Killer can hear it, I feel it deserves to come back.
I don't remember 100% the reason why but iirc, the reason it was removed back then was because it alerted Survivors to Myers presence whenever he tried to stalk, which would cause them to run away immediately and thus making it harder for Myers to generally stalk, especially during Tier 1.
-
Only if it's Myers only who can hear it when it plays, otherwise it'll just be a nerf to him.
-
No.

This does not mean that everything will be available again next year. I guess the Cosmetics will probably be available via the Store, but Charms and the Playercards-Items might not be available afterwards.
Who knows? Maybe charms and playercards will become re-obtainable next year given that there is currently no spot for them in the store, maybe with the upcoming store overhaul, there might come a spot for them down the line.

"it was nice that there were some extra so that not every Challenge needed to be completed."
As someone who didn't get time to complete them all it was nice I was still able to unlock everything. Hope they keep doing that.
The fact that they wrote annual makes it pretty telling that it's something that's gonna happen yearly from now on.

I'd be down for having Art as a killer.

Never say never my friend, if my memory doesn't betray me did Mathew himself did say Chucky would never be in the game? Yet we have a massive collaboration?
Just sum to think about when losing hope on this dream chapter!!
Yes Cote did say in the past that Chucky was too silly to be in the game, but that is irrelevant to this because it's not BHVR you need to convince, it's Stephen King himself, who as i mentioned haven't done or pursued anything video game related in the last 3 decades and with there being no reason to assume that's going to change anytime soon.

Yeah make the gameplay boring af. Sure it will be great! /s
One question: What is "unfair"?
Yeah make the gameplay unfair because we allow people to abuse an exploit for long enough that guarantees unfair hits and downs for their own amusement at the cost of the other side having next to no way to deal with it. Sure it will be great! /s
If you abuse an unintentional feature that can significantly increases your chances of winning the game more easily which doesn't allow for mind gaming or any intentional counterplay to mitigate it's effectiveness, then it is unfair.

Your comment has a really weak argument. "If you are good enough to use it consistently", you have to respect the dedication that someone puts on a character. When I lose against a Blight with double Iri add ons, I'm like "the add ons helped him win". When I lose against a Blight with no add ons, but knows all the tricks, I'm like "Oh god, this guy is cracked, he defently played a lot with this killer". I respect when someone is good for puting the time on it.
So it doesn't make sense when people say that something is problematic when you know how to do it. We should respect that they managed to come to that position instead.
Sorry but no, i don't respect people who abuse an exploit, who tries to excuse it's existence by calling it skill expression because it allows them to end chases more easily than what is intended and who also thinks it's something we should accept just because it's been in the game for so long now.
It doesn't matter how many copius argument people want to present in order to justify it's existence, it's an unintentional bug that tips the scale in the user's favor while screwing the other side over more, nothing more and nothing less, something even the devs realizes.

So yes, you want all tech to be removed. I personally disagree. I prefer a game that allows a players to show different tricks/moves to show their dedication with a specific character.
In a game like DBD where the balance can easily be tipped from one side or the other depending on how much something from any side is buffed or nerfed, things like hugtech gives too much of an advantage to one side since if you're good enough to use it consistently, then the other won't being able to do anything about it, no counterplay nor any mindgaming to give a fighting chance against it.

Perhaps we can put our differences aside, to agree on this one. Because I certainly do agree.
It has always been nothing more than a bug. Understanding an exploit doesn't change the fact that it is an exploit, something that was never meant to be in the game. It is good they are removing it.
Probably one of the few things we can agree on, there is no mind gaming involve, no counterplay and the better a player is at utilizing it, the harder it is for the other side to do anything about it.
DBD is not like other games, there is a fine line when it comes to fair and unfair and if there is nothing the other side can do about it outside of just being lucky, then it isn't healthy for the game and should be changed regardless of how long it takes people to exploit it to it's full potential.

Then all techs should be removed acordning to you. It will only make the game less interesting and flat.
Interesting for the person who performs the tech maybe, but unfair for the person who's on the receiving end.

Im guessing that heal tech, point tech, and cj techs are all unskilled bug exploits too?
No idea what those are but if they gave players an unfair advantage over the other side, then yes i will say they are.

Bug or not you can’t deny that it’s skill expression. It’s not something your average player can just pick up and immediately do. It takes dozens if not hundreds of hours to perfect. Especially learning the tiles you can properly pull them off on. There’s so much nuance and depth that hug teching added to Blight. Whether it feels cheap or not you can’t deny it added to his skill ceiling.
Actually i can deny it, because regardless of how long it takes to master it, it's still exploiting something that was never intentional which allowed Blight players to get unfair hits that Survivors have little to no chance of dodging, meaning there's no mind gaming or counterplay involved to it depending on how good you were at doing it.
Genuinely could not be more happy that it's gone and i hope Wesker's techs are next.

Care to explain why?
If you are going against blights hug teching, you are probably high MMR, meaning you should be able to deal with it. Do you see blights winning constantly in comp, because it certainly isn't happening as much as say a nurse does.
If you are average MMR, you aren't going against blights who even know what hug teching is. Or if they do, they do it poorly.
Because it was some of the most annoying ######### to go up against when it did happen as it felt like BS hits.
It's not skill expression, it's just exploiting a bug that was always unintentional.
-
Yes it is and thank god for that.
-
About ######### time.
-
I'm personally glad it's gone, it was genuinely annoying to go up against.
-
Good ######### riddance.
-
It's not a matter of should, because the answer is obviously yes.
The real question is if it's even possible, which it most likely isn't since Stephen King hasn't done anything video game related with his IPs in about 3 decades at this point, with no reason to assume that's gonna change anytime soon, in fact the devs have tried to talk to King about bringing Pennywise into DBD long ago, to which he declined.
-
If we get the T-800, i wonder if they're gonna use the actual red hud with all the info as seen from POV of the Terminator itself in the movie or if they're gonna use the regular one.
-
Considering that power reskinning is not possible, that's gonna be a no from me.
-
It's not gonna happen, not at this point.
People forget that the only true way to fix the code is by rewriting it from the ground up and that's something that's gonna take longer than just a single chapter, we're talking literal years due to how much content that's in the game. Not only will the process cause all future content or patches to be postponed until it's done, but i highly doubt people are gonna have the patience to wait that long for it to be finished.

The thing is, it has been worse since the event started. No one is trying to enjoy the event and just have fun. All they want to do is still to just win.
That happens every event, so that's to be expected.

I can agree on Wesker being bottom tier since his music sounds like boss music rather than chase music and Dredge being top tier, along with a few other placements.
The rest however i find outright questionable and can't help but disagree with, especially for the placements of Legion, Deathslinger, Nemesis, Twins, Artist & Cenobite.
-
Outside of the occassional jumpscare killers, dbd has never been scary.
-
They did make Dead Dawg more foggy, so yes they are making adjustments to maps.
-
Genuinely the worst indoor map without question.
It's a remnant of old dbd map design that still needs to be updated like every other old element still remaining in dbd.
The map needs the following.
- Breakable doors to replace the prop doors or just not have any doors for rooms.
- Realm Beyond visual overhaul.
- Better placement for things such as Xenomorph's tunnel entrances so they don't obstruct the path as seen sometimes where they spawn to close to a prop so that the path becomes blocked.
- Tiles with both double pallets and double windows being toned down in strength.
- Removal of the vault by the generator up on the catwalk in the upside down entrance room.
-
Outside of doing weapons similar to her deep rift one, i don't expect them to outright give her entirely different colored weapons unless it's as a locked set that also changes the color of the ink on her body to avoid color confliction, as well as when she materializes her weapon in her animation at the start of the trial.
-
I'm inclined to own all dlcs since i'm a completionist.
Will i be playing the new characters? Most likely not.
I do hope however that they haven't change Unknown's ptb chase track.
-
Maybe shrink the map a bit and make the map's lighting level darker like how the map was in the first iteration of it's graphical overhaul.
-
-
There are only a few ones i can think of that would be worth collabing with.
The most prominent one is Ice Nine Kills as it has some very horror movie inspired songs such as the ones from their album ''The Silver Scream.''
-
The chapter is honestly mostly underwhelming for me.
High point being the map and most of the perks seems fine or decent enough.
Outside of that however, there's not much else.
Visually and lore-wise The Unknown is cool but it's power doesn't appeal to me the same way Dredge's power doesn't.
I'm not a fan of the Survivor, Sable is all visuals and no depth, unless the tome improves her base lore, she has without a doubt the second worst Survivor lore due to how shallow her character is in the base lore, also she probably has the worst Survivor lobby voicelines out of them all.
