You were wrong the last time you said that and you still are now. Blight has 4 chances to hit you while rushing because his first rush doesn't let him attack.
It is still too many, he has addons that give him more. It's too oppressive in chase.
-
You can make a lot more mistakes with Blight and still very easily win. He has a whopping 5 chances to hit someone and then he has virtually no cooldown and he is a normal speed killer. Then, they regain almost instantly.
There is no comparison of Blight to Nurse.
-
It is the lazy way to win.

Cause as we know is that killrates is the only thing that matters. If I hook someone after the first chase and then just camp till that guy is dead im an absolute S tier killer, the game is clearly killer sided after all i got a kill and bubba needs a hard nerf.
And I mean I also know ur a hardcore survivor defender but the reality is that killers are leaving in rapid numbers, which is why queue times get longer and longer and sbmm goes completely of the rails. So even u need to see that u need to give killers something so that ppl stop leaving or are actually coming back. Cause im not sure if u even thought about that but even u need a killer on the other side otherwise playing survivor doesnt work
It doesn't matter as long as you kill them. If you kill them, it means you won. Even if they finish all the gens but you kill them with NOED, killer won.
Killrates: Way over 50%. We don't even know the high MMR, where killers are likely doing better.
Killers are not leaving, that is spreading false propaganda.

Thats a very delusional yet unsurprising thing to see coming from you. You’ve always been a survivor extremist.
All you have to do is look at the killrates. It's delusional to say the game is favoring survivors when killers win a majority of the time. And solos lose even more than that.
-
Catered? There's been nothing but survivor nerfs for as long as I can remember.
Killers on the other hand: Nothing but buffs. More buffs coming.

Bribery won't work.
Although I guess they could pay the killers in real money, that might work. They're basically acting as a daycare centre and DBD is more stressful than a real job.
Playing killer might not be for everyone. I still don't think it is as bad as killers make it out to be. At certain times of the day, it takes a very long time to find a match as killer. I think the double bloodpoints is a good idea for the role that is needing players at the moment.
-
I've said a long time all that needs to happen is to give the role that is deprived double bloodpoints for playing it.
Killer is already far too easy and needs nerfs. The issue is that killer is very unsatisfying for most if you don't 4K. Which should be "rare", but it is far too common.
As killers do well, they climb the ranks to face more and more really good SWF and may quit because they can't handle losing. It is psychological and not game balance. Killers are grossly overpowered.
It doesn't help matters when those SWF rub it in the killers face when they do win.

I'm a solo player, and if the randoms know what they are doing its easy to counter, but unfortunately there are some than even after noticing those perks they dont leave the gen smh
I think that is more of the killer not being that good.

Lol, if u had read the whole text you would've read its easy to counter, not saying teams cant overcome it, if you're smart its easy to counter, its just boring
On a killer like Blight or Nurse, it is way too strong in public matches. If you don't think so, it means you only play in a 4 man SWF.

Twins don't have many players because of how clunky and lengthy their cooldowns are.
It also doesn't help that their strength is at their best for camping & slugging.
I do agree it is a bit clunky when trying to switch. Sometimes they don't switch when you are pressing the button, but I don't see how the cooldowns make them weaker or anything like that. Charlotte is actually asleep so she has to wake up.
-
A good Twins player is a nightmare. I'm surprised there at not more Twins. Said player is in two locations essentially at the same time. Victor is unbelievable at getting downs. Unbreakable should be basekit for the duration of the tome.

Tell them sluzzy. Running 4 slowdowns and they don't have to move a finger to make them work. Autopilot, perks work for them.
There was a match where I repaired a gen three times and it still didn't get completed. Pain Resonance, PGTW, Dead Man's Switch.
I would only consider that fair if I as a survivor could use Sprint Burst into Lithe, and finally a Dead Hard.
-
Boring and OP. It needs a nerf because most teams can't overcome it. Survivors shouldn't auto-lose because of perks.

I'm genuinely curious, what would you do to fix it?
The main thing I see in every match is that survivors go down way too fast in trial after trial. Maps are overnerfed and most survivors have no defenses to stay in a chase long enough for others to even finish gens. People getting hit through vaults and through pallets. And then you have slowdown perks on top of that and it exacerbates the problem.
Killers have no respect for decisive strike because it is so weak, it needs buffing. The hook timer can slow down if the killer is proxy camping. Revert the hatch nerf so survivors are somewhat rewarded for finishing some of the gens. That's a few of the things I can think of.
-
@ChiSoxFan11 said:
For our OP, I was keeping stats over 250+ survivor matches until just recently. My escape rate overall was hovering right above the 60% mark, and my solo survivor escape rate was right about the same. And I happily admit I'm a decent, but nothing spectacular, survivor.
If you're legitimately and consistently dying in 90% of your matches, without trying to come across arrogant in saying so, it might be a "you" issue, and not a game balance one.
I'm sorry but I don't believe that. The killers all in your area must be brand new to the game.

I find Killer and Solo Q to be equally miserable.
Both need help and this isn't an us vs them. For most people, the state of the game is rather poor at the moment.
Sitting in queue for 5+ minutes as Survivor only to get tunneled/camped out of the game isn't a good experience. Likewise, playing Killer and having multiple CoH's, bad maps and the general overtuned nature of Survivors is also unfun.
The state of the game is definitely the worst it's ever been in.

I played a lot of evolve. In that game, if 1 hunter screwed up it was a domino affect. Everyone died. Dbd is not nearly as bad as that.
Thats why it didn't survive because it was too difficult and unfair. The monster was way too overpowered in that game.
To be honest, playing solo in DBD feels like playing against the Tank (constantly) in L4D and he can't be killed.

If the survivors have brains, killer is "almost" unwinnable. Definitely an uphill battle. No game should be balanced to only work if someone makes a mistake.
The problem there is that it shouldn't require all 4 to play totally perfectly to have a chance to win. Killers can choose to tunnel someone out of the match and then it is unwinnable.
They desperately need to add multiple ways to escape because solo teams can't finish 5 gens. Not with a constant barrage of slowgen perks.
-
If the killer has a brain, survivor is unwinnable. Solo is the most disadvantaged way to play, therefore it makes it unenjoyable.

New killers are not using this perk lol. They are going for garbage perks, best perk on new killers is NOED. If MMR gets fixed and new killers faces with new survivors, there will not be any problem.
They'll lose to NOED then. Even fully perked survivors can't finish 5 gens, much less do 5 totems.

Yes. A perk like that should never exist. It's almost like new survivors are forgotten. They are supposed to simply queue up and lose every match.

Yeah, she is bad at RPD and Lerry. She is strong at outdoor maps. She is god at Midwich, Saloon and The Game.
And plus nobody playing her without strong perks and add-ons. All Nurses i saw had min 2 slowdown perks. Starstruck usually. She is destroying solo teams. I am sure she is destroying SWFs as well. How this killer is fair because she is bad at 2 maps?
Many other killers are stronger on those maps. Have you played against Blight on the Saloon?

Please no. I'm only saying she's very hard to play on indoor maps. Actually, the police station is even harder.

Problem is basically nobody plays killer or survivor perkless, it's not really a good representation of how balanced a thing is in practice
Perkless addonless Blight might be okay but nobody plays him that way and the devs don't expect people to either bc they put all these addons and perks in the game they obviously want ppl to use them
So the killer meta is too strong. Because any high mobility killer is very oppressive with it.
If Nurse is weak perkless, it shows how powerful perks are.

Nurse is broken when you get good with her. And plus, at low mmr all killers are baby and survivors too. They don't know what they are doing. We are talking for mid and high mmr and this Nurses are broken. And i disagree, killers are not op. So much killers are camping and tunnelling for pressure and kill.
We don't know MMR. But survivors with hundreds of hours are going down fast.
If you think Nurse is broken, try her on Lerys with no perks.
-
The other killers are not weak. Nurse just seems easy by someone with experience playing her. They are ALL overpowered. If anything, the others are too easy and way too overpowered. Look how easy Trickster is to play and down survivors. A new Nurse would never be able to do that.
-
Nurse seems easy when stealth is non-existent. Survivors being too weak against the killer meta. People all die way more to Huntress or Blight because they exist in huge numbers.
Anyone saying Nurse is easy needs to pick Lerys map with no perks. That's equivalent to playing a regular solo match right there.

How do you know the killer's experience or intensity level? Hooks occurred so they couldn't be new nor casual versus that team and yet all four still walked out the gates thereby making devout bronze and no rank gained and very likely a rank loss.
The most glaring part of it all is even if the killer went and snuffed the boons they could be relit again, indefinitely. It's broken and in need of a nerf.
That match was an extreme outlier. It is not really fair to nerfs boon perks because the killer got outplayed. They could have had the same outcome if they didn't use boon perks. Boon perks do nothing for chasing. Besides CoH, they are extremely situational. Even Power Struggle has a better chance of being used and that is a sad low probability.

I'll just leave this here.
A 4 man very experienced, sweaty SWF vs. new killer playing casually.
I could easily find a video of an experienced Blight slugging everyone at 5 gens. <- This happens way more often.

Yeah but once you find a totem, that's yours for the duration of the game. If you bless one in the opposite area to the 3 gen phase, you have a permanent in game medical centre and killers can't afford to go snuff it.
Please explain why healing far away from the objective is sooooo game breaking for a killer. A 3 gen is already ridiculously too strong in favor of killer.

Except, the reward for Plaything isn't really as good as the reward for CoH.
We're both veteran players. We remember the original Self-Care nerf way back in the day. After speedy self-care was changed, there was a no heal meta, which is pretty much what we were in until CoH was released. Now, we have all the issues of Survivors focusing down gens, Killers camping and tunneling because they have no time BUT Survivors also get a massive power boost from being able to heal fast on-demand.
CoH isn't healthy for player fun. It causes many more fun Killer playstyles to be rendered completely irrelevant and promotes unfun tactics like gen rushing, tunneling and facecamping. This isn't a Killer vs Survivors issue Sluzzy, it's a player issue. We are ALL negatively affected by Circle of Healing.
Killers were tunneling and camping before Circle of Healing. If survivors can't heal, you are basically walking around with killer having NOED. Of course killers would like that, but it isn't fun for survivors like that.
-
@OpenX said:

Of course Plaything is stronger than CoH. CoH is 1 perk of 16.
"Nothing more than a healing perk" when healing is survivors #2 objective / timesink behind generators. I have watched so many teammates just go find my CoH and heal at it without me needing to do anything. I could just sit on generators the entire time, only a troll would sit here and argue it's not good.
But now that call of brine can basically give killers unlimited generator time with proper play, im actually OK with CoH giving survivors unlimited fast self heals.
It is somewhat a team-based game more than ever, so if your perk is helping someone else heal then that helps solo more than anything. It is 16 perks < 4 killer perks. As in one Sloppy Butcher causes all 4 to be extremely slow.
That is exactly my point, killers get slowdown perks every game like Call of Brine.
-
@Pulsar said:

Plaything isn't a strong Killer perk, but it is a well-designed perk. You need to work for value.
CoH is anything but mediocre.
You are looking at it with a strong killer bias. Plaything is a slowdown perk giving killers a very strong advantage. CoH is nothing more than a healing perk and actually requiring finding a totem (not doing the objective) to get advantage from it. Killers are actually getting advantage from their perk normally from simply playing the game normally, which is extremely easy to do. It makes the killer much stronger without doing anything extra.
CoH requires finding a totem, then spending a lot of time blessing it. Plaything is stronger than CoH when looking at effort required from all parties involved.
-
@Pulsar said:
I just can't understand how BHVR simultaneously designs a perk like Hex: Plaything, a wonderfully designed and engaging perk but then also greenlights Circle of Healing.
Maybe there are also two perk designers, just like there are two writers for the lore.
So it is OK for the designers to release a strong killer perk but it is not OK to release a mediocre survivor perk that is actually worth using for a change?

Sabo was nerfed on that front but what about the time it takes to Sabo... 2.5 seconds
There's more pallets on certain Maps (The Game) but the placement of those pallets have changed
COH wasn't nerfed hard... If it were then it'd be the same as Self Care maybe even worse
Boil Over was buffed to far and was brought back... but it's still strong
DMS is only "broken" when used with SH:PR... So only that combo but that only means 15% loss of progress that can be repaired in a snap
You love over execrating everything don't you
That is so ridiculous. Why should CoH be worse than Self-Care? When you waste years trying to find a totem to bless it, you could already heal with self-care. It has too much counterplay. What good is sabo when the killer walks right past the broken hook because there is another hook 10 meters away? How often do you see someone sabo?
The Game map is the only one with some pallets, however most of them are very unsafe.
If Boil Over was useful, you would see it used.
You admitted DMS is broken so why is it not being nerfed? That right there is proof the game is killer sided.

So what about the Sabo change and the Hangman's Trick changes
So what about Boons
So what about the maps
So what about Pallets
So what about the Hillbilly, Spirit, Pinhead, Wraith changes
In all of those things you think that the game is Killer sided... HA
Sabo has been nerfed so that hooks respawn almost instantly. There is like half as many pallets as used to be. Leatherface always finding you in dead zones.
Circle of healing nerfed hard, Boil Over nerfed into non-existence. Dead Man Switch buffed to be broken. Pinhead and Wraith is still very very strong.
-
No sir, you are wrong. It is overwhelmingly killer sided.
-
It was unbelievable. And it stayed in the game a long time. You could use Whispers and use it to constantly grab people from gens.

DS, BT, even DH or bodyblocking counter tunneling.
Not to an extent to where it's impossible to tunnel, but to where it wastes more time than it gains.
Survivors are supposed to play as a team. 1 dead Survivor means 3 escaped. That's a win for the Survivors, whether the questionable SBMM counts it as one or not
I have almost never seen a match where 3 escapes after 1 was tunneled. That is like a 1 out of a thousand chances. It is always a 3 or 4K.
Then you have Leatherface that completely prevents BT and DS from being used.

Oh hai Sluzzy.
DH is going away. As is facecamping. Solo Q is getting a more robust array of status icons to help with coordination.
Let's see what the game looks like once the dust settles from that.
But is anything being done to nerf tunneling?
-
@Norhc said:
I mean, have you seen how much they love to gratuitously nerf killers? Even if DH ever gets nerfed it'll be a wrist slap anyway. BHVR has chosen their side a long time ago.
Killers bring this onto themselves. The more survivors are heavily nerfed constantly with no end, the more killers have to be nerfed.
They are also constantly buffing killers and leaving broken things in the game for killers (ie. Dead Man's Switch, Blight, Pig's AFK).
Killers have it made when it comes to BHVR.
-
The standard for perks continues to plummet.
As if Blight cares at all about 2%. He is like "hold my serum".
-
Regressing is a good way to put it. Game gets more and more frustrating and impossible for survivors.
-
"No fun, too much frustration, that's all you can say from a killer point of view. Sorry"
From a survivor perspective, so does enduring massive slowdown perks every game along with slugging, tunneling at 5 gens.
There are 5 players trying to enjoy the game, not just one.
The developers add another dead hard equivalent perk for killers in every update...something that slows the game down. Survivors get nothing that speeds it up.
-
Survivor side is at it's worst state. So many oppressive killer perks, killers like Blight not being nerfed or exploits fixed.
It could fixed by adding incentives to stay in the match, add multiple ways to escape (revert the extreme hatch nerf). Repairing 5 gens is impossible most matches.
I literally repaired a gen 3 times in a match the other day. PGTW, Pain Resonance prevented the thing from being fixed. I almost blew a gasket.

I understand this argument, the add-ons that reduce his cool down is what seems to be complained about significantly. Maybe his base-kit cool down could be slightly modified as well? What is the cool down after he runs out/cancels his rush w/out add-ons? I believe it might be 1sec per token. Correct me if im wrong, please. Like I said, I dont main Blight and have played him a handful of times!
Whatever the cooldown is after rushing should be at least 3 times longer. There is no skill because he is not punished for missing.
