Did you have any proof about your statements? Any solid fact? Until now I didn't see efforts from you in order to find something to use for your thoughts... You know, you remind me about a (in)famous guy present in the steam forum of dbd... But I'm derailing from the topic... As I said before, if you aren't satisfied with the actual state of the survivor role, just play killer or follow what Cote said once: play some civilization or do something else.
The overall statistics. Video evidence everywhere. There is a lot of proof showing the game has a heavy bias for killer.

@Piruluk said:
Yeah, this game balanced around SWF, you have to play with 3 friends. Solo is just too weak in this game, I expect thousands of players leaving, because they cant play survivor anymore
You are right - too much is required from the survivor side and that is the issue. The game is balanced around bad killers and good SWF.
It used to not be this way. But piling on tons of new survivor objectives, nerfing maps, and creating an overpowered killer meta while not asking any more from killer is caused a huge imbalance.

The fact that you consider adding ~2 seconds to Self Heal a "drastic nerf" says it all.
Nerfed 3 times. It is way more than only 2 seconds.

I meant I don’t believe you have this tough of a time playing survivor. I’m not very good, I play solo queue, and I escaped probably half the time. Just stop it or play killer if it’s so easy and OP.
Escaping in solo Q only happens when the killer is a baby. You need to find out what kind of killers you are winning against. Are they babies? Are they letting you win?

The screenshot proves it happened.

They're slugging cause that's what Twins are. They're a slug killer and while I don't agree that it's necessary to slug at the start with 5 to 4 gens if a Twins wants to take advantage of it they're gonna do it. Even with a bunch of party streamers Killers or Survivors will do what they can to get as much points as possible and in Twins case you can get a good amount with just Victor.
Also Killers have been using Sloppy forever now and all of a sudden it's already a big deal because of Hemorrhage. Give it a couple weeks before judging it it's only day 2 of the mid chapter release.
It only takes a game or two to know Sloppy Butcher is a problem. Very boring gameplay with that perk.

Was your last killer a Nemesis on The Game or something?
It was a Legion on the new deadzone map.
-
Yes, as is with every map rework they become grossly unbalanced in favor of killer.

Bruh what LOL. The buff to legion was underwhelming. He's still garbage tier
I haven't seen a Legion lose yet. Please tell that to all the survivors losing against him.
On topic, he was overbuffed and his buffs were unnecessary. The devs even said in their note they were a popular killer and had well over 50% killrates.

It is worse than selfcare for your first heal.
After that is when you begin getting value and it quickly becomes way better in terms of what you get out of it, IF you are smart about where you position your totem and don’t put it somewhere too convenient for the killer.
Usually the killer snuffs it before it is used more than once. When the sound being so obvious, there is really nowhere to hide it. The only time is even slightly harder for the killer is when there is more than one level on the map.
-
@sizzlingmario4 said:
Yeah, it is a killer-favored patch. There’s no denying that. But it’s not like legion didn’t need the buff they got, and COH is still a very strong perk.
I do beg to differ, CoH is hardly any better than self-care. People spending a lot of time for such a weak perk helps the killer.

And then I had one earlier with the gall to complain about dead hard being press E to win
What button does the killer push for deadlock? What button does the killer push for scourge hook? What button does the killer push for DMS? Lmfao
Exactly. Legion is so easy to play but saying E to win when all it takes for killer is press M1 to win.

Ok look This isn’t a nerf.
relax
As much as I would love to go into a huge discussion, they'll put me behind bars.
DBD is not ready for this. It is asymmetrical game and one player has all the power in the game. I'll leave it as that.
It should have remained a mystery survival horror game.
-
This should not have happened until survivors had stronger anti-tunneling tools.
-
They are possible as long as you don't expect a 4K every match. They need different strategies than the be everywhere, down everybody Mr. Blight. Killers like Trapper are more area control. If you get 6 hooks with Pig and kill 2 it was a well balanced match.
4K should be rare.
-
Killers won't optionally stop. We NEED a decisive strike buff. A 1 time perk shouldn't be so weak.

Don't you complain about slowdown perks too?
I do point out how overpowered stacking slowdown can be. Ruin+Undying and Scourage+Dead Man is very overpowered.
-
Lets see, the killer "failed" to stop the gens from being repaired? He gets a speed boost and exposed instant down capability.
That is indeed rewarding failure.
I've seen too many killers win only because of perks like NOED, Blood Warden, No Way Out. When slowdown perks weren't used.
-
Nothing should be deactivating it. It is a survivor perk, not a killer perk.

Ruin? Gets destroyed… Survivor decides when totems stay. Players remember the spawns and go straight to them. Brine is okay, but it’s like ToT. You gotta look around before leaving it alone to regress. Wasting more time. The only good perk gen slow down is new Dead Man’s Switch, and I suggested this change many times! It’s balanced because it requires catching AND hooking survivors. Saying DMS is broken is like saying Pop is too. It’s simple to prevent. Stop getting caught so fast! 🤣
I played both sides enough to know that survivor is about as hard as playing killer IF YOU SOLO. Find a competent group to survive with, and you’ll stop losing altogether. The devs have to always work around the later because that’s what the community wants to do.
Hooking survivors are inevitable. If it is guaranteed to happen, why should the other side be prevented from doing their objective?
Boil Over is being nerfed because it makes hooking survivors "a little too difficult". This balancing is not considered or applied to survivor side. Survivors have to finish gens just like killers have to hook in order to do their objective.

You can't stack Ruin with Call Of Brine, are you stuck in the past when gens could be kicked while Ruin was active?
Killers get massive advantage with Ruin. When it is gone, they fall back to Call of Brine. Constant barrage of gen slowdown.
All of these slowdowns added but survivors haven't been given anything to get gens done quicker or stay alive longer.
Developers forgot that these perks are broken if 4 survivors can't all be at the end of the game. With only 2 or 3 survivors, there is no way to finish gens when killers are constantly notified of survivor whereabouts.

Power Creep - When newer things are on a stronger level than older things in video games making the older things obsolete.
(in case you didn't understand the word you were using)
The power levels of killers are power creeping. You don't need a better Ruin, just add a perk that makes it stay up longer. Add another perk like Ruin that gives you a notification when they are working on it. All of these can be stacked together to guarantee wins.
-
Power creep. The killer meta is actually a huge problem.
-
Ruin was buffed. Most killers still crutch on Ruin for easier wins. It's still spammed in almost all games.
-
He is strong enough. His killrates are some of the highest. Any buffs to him would make him actually busted.
A 1-shot killer that practically jumps through windows doesn't need any buffs. A killer with that kind of power needs a very slow buildup.
-
It is too hard to get 5 gens done.
Much less doing so many other objectives. Totems, unhooking, healing, running from the killer. And somehow do gens. What if killer has slowdown on top of that? It's impossible.
And forbid if the chain hunt begins: everything is a standstill.
Everytime I see Pinhead, I mentally think of a trainwreck.
-
You are very low experience killer and they were all god-tier, at least that is how you are describing them. That is the way it should be. You still killed 3 or 4 because of a perk, I would argue that shouldn't be possible to almost win with that kind of experience vs experience.
It is a PvP game so naturally the chat is going to be the way it is. A lot in this game can feel very unfair. You winning with NOED although they may be really good with a lot of experience compared to your killer can be rather tilting.
-
I do too. It was my favorite indoor map.

Unfair tech? What is that?
Where he can make those ridiculous turns around walls and then flick his body 180 degrees. They are hits from nowhere.
-
My last few matches were like that. Except I had a Blight that knew all the unfair tech. It's almost no point in playing survivor anymore.
Time to nerf a healing perk.
-
I do agree. Against even a medicore killer using OP perks, only a top 4 man sweating in an unfun way has even a slight chance at winning.
In my opinion, the game is already at a breaking point. It is far too difficult for survivors to win. DBD is losing players every month because survivors have been nerfed too much.

I am sorry but you are wrong:
1 Survivor spends 30-45 seconds booning a totem. In that time; 3 other Survivors are doing gens.
Now, 2 Survivors get hit, but the Killer drops chases to kick gens that are near to popping. Those 2 Survivor run to the Boon and heal. Between them, it took them just as long to heal BOTH as it would have to heal ONE without the boon.
In those 2 heals; the boon has now paid for the time that went in to placing it. It's, literally, now showing a net positive for time on Survivor's end. They have no longer wasted time, since they spent LESS time placing the boon & using it twice, than they would have healing without it.
It's only a net loss, ONLY, if the Killer finds it before it can be used. If it gets used twice; it's a net gain for time; less time spent healing.
You being unable to see that, or you ignoring that, does not change that fact.
And if the Killer spends 15 seconds finding, and stepping on, it, and then a Survivor re-boons? Kilelr has lost time away from gens & chases.
Whereas that ONE Survivor is replacing a NET GAIN for time, while the other 3 continue to work on gens uninterrupted by the Killer, because he was stepping on a Boon that got replaced 5 seconds later.
I'm sorry but your arguments are false. They are baseless nay saying with no evidence to back them up. It's a bald fact that the problem with CoH lies in how it is infinitely replaceable. And Killers lose if they Snuff it (time) or lose if they ignore it (fast heals rewarding Survivors with less time spend healing).
Again; your argument is false and baseless. You're basically saying 'Survivors lose because I said so' with 0 evidence to back it up.
You are wrong saying my opinion is baseless. Everything I said was fact from experience. I quit using boons since the last nerf because they are bad to use and helps killers win. I've been a hook watching someone boon just to heal themselves. Awful. If BHVR continues with their nerf, they are nothing more than a meme in the game, a perk worse than Pebble.
Here is where you are wrong;
If they are healing, you lost the chase. They can't heal if you are actually chasing them. The killer's fault if they are healing.
You don't have to cleanse a totem. If you are losing games because you are abandoning chases just to try to find the boon, that is a flaw in your strategy. Let them heal, down someone and put them on a hook to get pressure.
CoH is no more infinite than Pentimento or Sloppy Butcher. Perks that "constantly" slow down survivors.

We are done here. You're clearly trolling by claiming Survivor meta is only useful against unfair killers.
On top of that, you are completely ignoring that placing the boon pays for itself, and Survivors can place a boon and still have other Survivors doing gens. As I have said repeatedly, but your reply is basically 'But they can't' with no supporting argument other than vague silence and dodging the issue.
If you're not going to argue in good faith or just going to troll; please leave my thread. I don't want trolls here.
I'm not ignoring anything. You are ignoring a huge time sink in boons and why people are realizing that and not using them as much. I have calculated from several trials that I can have a gen finished before I can find a totem and bless it. And watching a killer walk right by it and disable it is ridiculous. Why should I waste all that time when I can bring self-care?
It doesn't pay for itself. It is a net loss. If the killer steps on it, survivor is further in the red.

Sluzzy stop cappin. Perks all over this game counter entire killer powers. Stop cappin.
Not like that. A killer power can't be disabled.
Even if it did, there is bloodlust so the game guarantees a survivor can't indefinitely not go down.

Allot of time for ONE Survivor, while 3 do gens; 1 chased? 3 on gens. 1 Booning totem? 3 on gens.
Meanwhile; Killer has to find totem & snuff it. And no one is doing chases or kicking gens while he does that.
On top of that; the healing speed is given to ALL FOUR Survivors, meaning 1 person in an SWF bringing CoH leaves the other 3 to run full-META (though CoH is META in it's own right). Basically 1 CoH = 3 free perks; 1 per Survivor using it.
And once it's been used twice; it's now paid for it's time investment for Survivors via less time spent healing.
At a very high price. When you are blessing, you are not doing gens, you aren't doing other things that help the team. You are helping the team by blessing a totem.
When you complain that the other survivors are free to bring meta perks, what meta perks are you talking about? Probably Borrowed Time and Decisive Strike. That is very healthy for the game because survivor meta perks can only be used when a killer plays in an unfair manner.
So if CoH can free another survivor from having to bring Self-Care, they will have room to bring Borrowed Time or maybe Unbreakable. It is not fun to be slugged for ages.
The nerf for CoH is very unhealthy for the game because survivors will be forced to use a medkit or self-care if they want to heal, potentially not having another important perk that is critical.
It is common now for CoH not to be in any games. I saw it a lot when it was first released but the continual nerfs are taking a toll on it.
-
@PigMainBigBrain said:
You goofy, you can already counter both of those with calm spirit and distortion.
A perk(s) shouldn't be required to counter something overpowered.
If I remember correctly, Iron Maiden was buffed recently so this gives a high mobility killer an instant down.
These two perks are a lose-lose situation.

Survivors can't do gens and do Totems either. And save other survivors, help those on the floor, do this and do that.
Yes, they can. They, literally, can do 4 things at the same time, because there are 4 of them.
You act like a killer has to drop everything they are doing and find the boon when they hear it. They aren't that strong. You don't do that when someone has self-care so it is not that imperative for the boon either.
For CoH; yes, he has too. If he lets a Survivor go after hitting them, and CoH is in play? That Survivor is healed less than 30 seconds later. The Killer's entire 60+ second chase is erased in under 30 seconds. And will continue to be erased unless he tunnels (which Survivors whine about non-stop), or removes the boon (Which then gets re-applied once he leaves the area to chase survivors/patrol gens/hook someone)
Hexes? Oh my. They are strong enough they have to be found, otherwise, Ruins continues to remove progress, Devour Hope is 1-shot, Lullaby causes impossible skilchecks, Blood Favor causes pallets to be locked. These are all very debilitating for the survivor. They have to be found.
So does CoH. It removes the Killer's progress. It can remove the entire affect of 1 chase, which can be upwards of 60-80 seconds, with pallets, good loops, Dead Hard. Not to mention if Survivors sabo hooks, or a flashy or pallet save, & the Survivor wriggles free, runs off, and heals at CoH.
You seem to have a habit of ignoring or massively inflating anything Killer-based while trying your hardest to make Survivors sound as under-powered as possible.
But that is your fault for losing that survivor. They can only heal if you lost them. A lot has to happen before they can heal.
Find totem and bless it (search time + blessing time). After escaped a chase, they then have to go to the whatever corner of the map to heal (several seconds of running in the open + healing which is now painfully slow like self-care). All of this time not doing gens. That is a lot of time.
-

BS.
Coh wins games all the time.
You also fail to remember that 1 Survivor can cleanse Ruin while 3 Survivors work on gens. Again; Survivors can do 'secondary objectives' without STOPPING their primary objective. Survivors can do gens AND Boon a totem. Survivors can do gens AND break Ruin.
Killers CANNOT. Killer's can't defend totems AND patrol gens. Killers can't snuff CoH AND chase Survivors. Hell, Killer's cant's chase Survivors and pressure gens, even.
Sure, Survivors get 'slowed down' by having 1 or 2 Boon/Hex hunt. But Killers get outright STOPPED when they have to Boon hunt.
Killers are not half as oppressive as you like to pretend.
Survivors can't do gens and do Totems either. And save other survivors, help those on the floor, do this and do that.
You act like a killer has to drop everything they are doing and find the boon when they hear it. They aren't that strong. You don't do that when someone has self-care so it is not that imperative for the boon either.

Not doing the primary objective and spending a lot of time to setup a way to heal is actually a huge buff for killers.
I know you are either a troll or just unable to see the Killer side, but see my above post about how Survivors can do 2 objectives at the same time, and Killers can't.
It's in no way a Killer buff to anyone looking at the game mechanics.
You are forgetting killer perks are very oppressive. When you have a HEX perk, you are literally in more than one place because you are slowing down all of the survivors. When Ruin is active, it won't cleanse on its own. Without any effort on the killer, somebody is forced to find a very difficult to locate totem - slowing them down. I've seen Ruin or Devour Hope go until all the way to the end. CoH doesn't win games.
-
Because a game should be fun for both sides. When one side is the victim being hunted and slashed, it should be that they are able to heal if they wanted to.
Not doing the primary objective and spending a lot of time to setup a way to heal is actually a huge buff for killers.
I can't believe killers don't see that.
I also can't believe BHVR nerfed it like 3 or 4 times.
DBD is not supposed to be fun. A 4K simulator.
-
Slowdown or exposed perks shouldn't be a thing. Especially on the extremely versatile Blight. Can get to the other side of the map at the tap of the hat.
At this point, nothing on survivor side is strong at all.
Circle of Healing shouldn't have been nerfed at all. It needed to be better than self-care for all the time invested on a secondary objective.
Shadow Step is really only good for hiding BBQ auras and they are too easy for killers to snuff.
-
No. She has already been heavily nerfed several times. All nerfing does is make the game "unfun" as we have already seen from the survivor side. She is already penalized twice for using her power - most killers have hardly any downside at all.
There is way more Blights and Huntresses slaughtering everyone on the map. I see 9 of these other killers compared to one decent nurse.
If Nurse is still too strong it means survivors are simply too weak. 4 slowdown perks on a high mobility killer is too oppressive.
Nerf the killer meta and Nurse will feel better to verse.
In case people have forgotten, she used to be a normal speed killer with 3 default blinks. No cooldowns except for fatigue and with addons she could have 5 or more blinks. Survivors have simply been nerfed so much. Ruin didn't even exist when she was released. The killer meta is too strong.
-
I remember that when first playing killer. The music didn't help either - it was meant to make you anxious.
Maybe this is their first game ever and really not knowing that having performance anxiety when you are alone against more than 1 really should be expected.
Practice and getting some perks and it becomes a walk in the park.
-
Artist with that build honestly has zero counterplay. Inability to do the objective, it is worse than old Undying.
I think this proves Boil Over needs another nerf. Need to make sure killers can do their objective very easily.

So?
This game isn't balanced around solos. It can't be, because SWF is a thing and killers also need to be able to win against SWFs.
BHVR are aware of this issue, and are giving solo survivors substantially more tools to coordinate and will be buffing killers to compensate. And they have numbers and stats that we aren't privy to.
If you're always seeing survivors lose - remember that the survivor role is a team role. Now - bear with me - what is the common denominator across those games?
Killers still beat SWF. It is only the very good ones is there a tussle.
While I appreciate the devs trying to help solos, and it might help a little but that doesn't help completely. SWF is only good because really good survivors team up together to have that advantage and know each others. Randoms are still going to lose, because the team effort you are talking about is too high.
Perfect balance can't be fixed with asymmetrical. The best you can do is make it balanced for somewhere in the middle so at least solos have a chance to win.

Actually Aryun and a couple other survivors have done large escape streaks. Players like marth88 and dowsey have also done SWF vids where they go tons of games using minimal perks almost never losing a man. That type of content isn't posted as much because survivor is the easiest competitive role ever made :)
Only as a SWF. As solo in a regular public match it isn't possible. If it was the "easiest" competitive role why is that I'm almost always seeing survivors losing and killers winning?
I think it is way easier for killers.

Good survivors can do 3 gens before the killer gets one hook.
That happens in like 1 out of 20 matches. With a very bad killer in the match.
The only way for survivors to win is to get gens done quickly because usually the killer will snowball after he gets a hook.
