They didn’t really have a counter. Coh that is the other 3 nobody complains about since they suck

Stepping on them was the counter.

  • I very strong No from me on this one.

    It would ruin the immersion.

  • You'll have to be patient.

To actually save their game from spiraling out of control, survivors could not possibly be nerfed any more. An overhaul of oppressive killer perks have got to be nerfed before touching dead hard.

If you think dead hard has a chance against a sweaty killer stacking slowdown perks, I have no idea what to tell you.

    1. Nerf killers and meta perks. Specifically anti-loop killers. A killer should never be able to down a survivor outside their control. (Artist, Huntress, Nemesis, Blight, Twins, several others)
    2. Buff survivors. So they have actual utility in chases. Pallets are the only mechanism and most of the killer roster completely ignores them.
    3. Buff maps. So survivors can last long enough in chases and stealth is actually meaningful. A killer should never always know where every one is located by looking at his perks or simply looking across his screen. Why is it a hide and seek game if the killer always knows where everyone is located? Please do take any random match and you'll see the killer is always downing someone on the floor. This is silly and it shouldn't be that apparent.

Solo Q shouldn't always be a lost cause, but it is due to a lot more going in the killer's favor.

    Your math is bad.

    A generator takes 80 seconds.

    A camp takes 120 seconds.

It's really not that simple though. You have to consider gen perks, survivors finding gens, attempting to unhook, etc.

  • No. The survivor objective takes too long.

This is without any slowdown. Now Imagine if they have slowdown and then No Way Out. The scenario is broken in favor of killers.

  • Killers will finally have to learn to play without massive slowdown. Corrupt, Scourge, POP, Ruin, Undying is simply too oppressive.

I'm glad the devs are finally seeing it is hurting the game.

This right here. If you are already dead in your mind the killer cannot harm you anymore

It is so much better that way so you are not so disappointed at the tally screen.

  • The game is not balanced for casual players. The killers objective is way too easy.

Theoretically speaking, the way the players are playing is how they are supposed to play but there is no feasible path to escape.

You have to play on a perfect team or the gates will not be opened. But I never play anymore expecting the gates to open.

  • When killers say the game is survivor sided, they don't even know. Now, imagine a sprint burst being used more than once in a match. A sprint from killer shack to infinite cow tree.

It was OK, the abusers got really facecamped or was instantly moried. Both sides were strong in their own ways.

Yes, they are uncounterable. But, they have to be earned by doing what you're supposed to do, which is hook survivors.

Where is the uncounterable survivor perk that halts the killer for 45 seconds for finishing a gen?

  • He used a party streamer with the intention of playing nice and fair, he didn't tryhard. This is why it was fun and 2 of you got out.

A good Blight doesn't lose...if he "wants" to win.

  • "The devs want more killers in the game but why haven't they looked at the most USED AND POWERFUL PERKS that are in the survivor meta?"

And the killer meta is untouched and only continues to get stronger while survivor perks constantly nerfed. They've clearly been very biased for killer mains.

At least be honest in your writing.

Could you share those 75% kill stats for Bubba, please?

I mean, the last dev stats i´ve seen where around the 50% mark. Some even below. In comparison, 2 Years ago, the kill rates where 20% higher across the board.

I don't know where they are to show you but I do remember! They didn't show RED rank killrates last time, probably because they are still extremely high and didn't want to show them! There has only been several survivor nerfs since then so it would be impossible for the killrates to actually be lower.

  • @Tsulan said:

Kill rates have dropped in the last 2 years. So i´m not sure what you´re trying to say. Maybe killer buffs incoming?

Killrates are always well over 50%. The last time I saw stats Leatherface kills a blindblowing 3K per match on average.

    "just bait it out 4head"

Stop spreading saying this and accept the fact that a Dead Hard for distance is uncounterable

    This is incorrect.

But what really is uncounterable is Dead Man's switch and Scourge Hooks of Pain. Especially on Artist. Tinkerer, killer perks are way less counterable.

Dead hard for distance is utilizing a perk like any other exhaustion perk, which is what perks are supposed to. Anti-loop have little to no counterplay and with kill rates as high as they are, as absolutely crazy as it sounds, the subject of nerfing dead hard should warrant drastic killer nerfs to compensate.

  • @SuzuKR said:

It was removed because it gave survivors too much information.

This is funny considering killers have tracking perks specifically showing where survivors are located.

I'm not sure which is worse, removing this sound or making Huntress having an omni-directional lullaby.

  • Underated. A very solid killer with a lot of advantages.

  • The real question is, will Legion get the Circle of Healing/Boil Over treatment?

Or will years of stats be required?

  • Not as quickly as "Boil Over".

Killer exploits are low priority as we have clearly seen from Mr.Blight.

  • It is an exploit and I can't believe how it has remained in the game so long.

  • @ezmindgames said:

Nice i get 1 hook and 3 gens already done, i camp and get body blocked by all 3 people, Hex ruin gone in first minute of game, endgame = 2 hooks and 4 escapes. Nothing wrong with killer i should just get better playing against survivors who are probably rank 1 while im still ASH 3

That's not a balance issue. You are a new killer and they are organized and know what they are doing. The same group was probably leveled flat in a previous game by an experienced Blight with several slowdown perks.

It's a 4v1 game, obviously the "1" role should be powerful. It's a no brainer. But i bet survivors love being the power role in dbd.

Just because you are "1" doesn't mean you are supposed to be guaranteed to win every match or have a default major advantage over the opponent.

The game is losing a lot of playing right now because the fun factor is dwindling away. Killers are overpowered and there is just not much agency for survivors. You either play as a 4 man SWF and try to genrush the killer or you face a guaranteed loss. Survivors are unable to overcome camping, tunneling, powering 5 gens, cleansing 5 totems...........etc.......escaping a No Way Out gate. The game is way too oppressive.

Survivors require killer to play nicely in order to win. The devs have been oblivious to survivors being fundamentally weak for a very long time.

Killers have had 6 perks all this time. Camping and Tunneling are free basekit perks. I think it is fair if survivors had some perks basekit to defend against that.

Funny enough HSHS open beta 2 provides a better balance to solo survivor, I have 100% escape rate after 30+ games.

Though yeah I have over 300+ hours in the game before.

Could I do the same with DbD as solo?

Not a chance, thats why i hate to play dbd nowadays, too killers sided.

Its only good in SWF 4.

Yeah, survivor effort and skill is almost meaningless. This is why alternate ways to escape should desperately be added so matches are not so absolutely discouraging. Even if you are down to 2 or 3 people left with 1 gen left the chances of finishing the last gen is almost zero percent. Perks like Tinkerer basically prevent any chances of escaping from happening. Then, killers can easily slug for a 4K where there is nothing survivors can do to win in those scenarios.

DBD shouldn't be that killer sided.

  • Decided to play 4 games this morning as "survivor" and each one was a bloodbath. Killers are too overpowered. The survivor objective is way too difficult to complete. Maps are overnerfed where it is impossible to extend chases long enough so others can do gens. My teammates are always going down within seconds.

    @Triplehoo said:

You really think survivor games are bad?? Try to play killer against non-stop swarm of SWF's. BHVR's poorly implemented MMR system has made matches unbearable for both sides. It's either get stomped or you have to sweat your butt off to get at least minimum results. The system has taken the fun out of this game.

But hey, at least the most vocal minority of "so-called pro's" finally had their challenge.

The so-called pros have ruined the game so casuals don't even have the slightest chance at winning. You know there is a tremendous balance issue when the chances for survivors to escape is directly dependent on the killer being horrible at the game, a nice player, and not running any perks that prevent survivors from doing their objective. And the survivors have to be experts to win on top of all of that.

  • Slowdown perks shouldn't be stackable. This is why they are so overpowered. Killer should have to choose only one slowdown perk.

  • Solo Q is certainly a failure against most killers, but with Legion...

Anyone saying to "just spreadout"...remember he can chain his hits and allow him to reach completely across the map injuring every person on his way.

  • Every time. You pretty much have to play solo with the expectation to die. It will help you going in with that mental state if you expect to die and farm for as much points as possible first.

  • Laurie Strode has entered the chat.

She is 57 years old in the last movie.

  • He wants maps with no pallets. It is very killer sided map now. I wouldn't lose any sleep if it was removed at this point.

  • The stealth meter should slowly decrease for Ghostface when not in Night Shroud. This will force the Ghostface to be smarter with his power but not save it for when the survivor can't counterplay it.

I don't get it, I play survivors and with friends, I have yet to see legions in my games get more than 1 kill.

You already quit the game so why would this topic even matter to you? Just move on with your other games.

His opinion is important because a lot of players have quit because the game is too hard and unfun now. I think you might be exaggerating a little only getting 1 kill, but we don't know about your SWF. What if all 4 of you have thousands of hours specifically coordinated? That doesn't mean Legion is OK because the Legions you are going against could all be new players.

Game should be fair for average teams and they are getting slaughtered because it is always mending and like I said perks that slow the game down is horrendous.

Stealth is non-existent because he gets an indicator of where everyone is located.

    T'isn't true.

Survivors have much to their name, the problem comes with generator completion. If the Killer can prevent the survivors from doing gens, nothing else matters.

    How is it not true?

  • No. Playing killer today is the easiest it has ever been. It is actually too easy. If a killer knows a little bit about what they are doing they are going to 4K almost all of their matches.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2931631#Comment_2931631

This by itself tells me you still havent looked at games where people have hard countered him. Here are some tips. To prevent him from getting his 5th hit and down with frenzy do not mend until he is out of it. If you were an early target then simply stay out of sight until his frenzy is up. You have to be conscious of where your team is or the general direction, where dead zones are and how to try and waste as much of his frenzy chasing you down. If hes not running those busted addons you also have pallet baiting to slow him down. Bait a weaker pallet so he has to stop his frenzy to be able to hit you. If you take this out of his kit hes still just an m1 killer. Since his strength is injuring not downing this make healing less useful to you because if you're injured hes more incentivized to not use his feral and play as an m1 killer. There are other tips but I'm not humoring this past here. Like I said learn to play the game.

I honestly haven't seen any game where he was "countered". Everyone is always injured and broken. He is still a normal speed killer and if he has spirit fury which I have noticed several use, then pallets do not work. The main issue it he is extremely easy to keep everyone injured and if people are constantly mending when can the objective be completed? We can't forget everything survivors have to do. Mending, gens, totems, saving,........etc.

Contrary to popular belief, I've seen the Legion get the uncounterable 4th person down numerous times. That is not balance.

  • @ArchAbhor said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2931540#Comment_2931540

What they are doing to counter legion has nothing to do with how good they are. It has everything to do with what you are unwilling to learn to do. Which is why they shouldnt balance the game around people who refuse to learn it

There is no counter to Legion so there is nothing to learn. The only advice ever given is to all spread out. That is not practical, especially when some maps are small and solo queue is a game mode.

It is not fun mending all match and when you have a killer meta it is totally impossible to win as a regular public match. Survivors have to finish 5 gens. When everyone is mending all the time with Ruin and other genslow perks the gens simply can't get done.

  • @ArchAbhor said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2930396#Comment_2930396

go watch some actually good survivors. They will show you how to counter Legion. Even his best build with the iri is counterable. People just need to figure it out. I sincerely hope the devs never take any of your troll suggestions seriously.

If you balance for the top 0.1%, that means nobody else can escape. Not fair and balanced.

  • @Predator3174PL said:

    Is it another Wraith situation?

They buffed him a little making him viable just tiny bit... And then they nerfed him throwing him again into the depths of tier lists.

Do you survivors really want Blight/Nurse only? Because that's how you get them.

I think there's a difference in being viable and overpowered and very unfun.

Wraith was atrocious, he had to be nerfed a little. Legion is the same way.

    Spread out

    Don't heal too often

Don't drop pallets unless you're gonna go down

    ????????

I'm sorry but those unreasonable requests. It be like being put in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and saying all you have to do is swim and you won't drown.

Pallets don't work. It shouldn't be a miracle for everyone is on a large map all spread out. It just hardly happens in practice.

  • Press M2 and follow the auras and there's nothing the survivors can do.

going for the expose down. Sometimes you need to...narrow your focus.

As fast and long as it lasts, it is a free down, why wouldn't you?

  • What is not worth your time?

  • The cherry on top is the 4th person is a free down outside the survivor's control. On a map like Coal Tower, it is easy to do.

  • @StarLost said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2929835#Comment_2929835

    Sigh.

    • No, that's how Twins works. It's why they are played like that at higher MMR.
    • Yes, people will exploit stuff. I still see survivors abuse spots where you can't pick them up (the lockers in Asylum have a spot) or try to get up onto geometry. And the less said about Boil Over and Eyrie the better.
    • Tunneling and defending a hook are all part of how this game is designed.
    • Sloppy sees a fair amount of use because it's a free, baseline perk and also completely fire and forget. You don't see it much at all past a certain MMR.
    • CoH is a killer perk may be the funniest take I've seen in ages. CoH is still a part of the SWF meta and at higher MMRs, you'll see it literally every game.
    • Whataboutism means you concede the argument.

Nobody knows MMR. Everyone assumes high MMR to justify things.

Survivors will exploit things but the big difference is that it gets patched out immediately. Boil Over is a good example. Yet, Blight has been the way he is for years. That's a big difference.

Defending a hook is fine but the game is not really designed to be fair. You can't assume every team nor is it fair to expect every team to be a SWAT team where 3 can quickly finish 5 gens all by themselves. If killer quickly tunnels one person out, the other 3 can't do 5 gens. That is very imbalanced. Survivors need an alternate escape when things like that happen.

SWF might be using the perk because they think it is fun. Fun doesn't always equal being effective. Self-Care is tremendously better because killer can't disable it and you don't have to spend ages finding a totem. They need the sound removed from the killer perspective before I ever use it. Getting one heal and then having to rebless it every time is a huge time waster.

It is true. Unbreakable should be multiple uses.

  • @StarLost said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/321093/survivor-is-totally-impossible-and-im-done-already-today

Okay, let's dig in. I've been playing survivor and also had a...rough day, 11 deaths, 3 escapes. But that's how the dice fall sometimes.

    • Yes, lots of Twins means lots of slugging. I hate it too. Ditto camping. Unfortunately, that's about all their kit is good for.
    • BHVR plan to fix camping in due course. Slugging...unfortunately, it's sort of an essential part of the game at higher levels. I do loathe it, but that's more of a game mechanics thing rather than a killer thing.
    • That's not killers being OP, that's you running into a jerk. I always try to go easy if people bring me streamers though :)
    • 9/10 matches is pure hyperbole.
    • Sloppy is not a great perk, and you barely see it outside of lower MMRs. It really doesn't slow things down all that much unless you're self caring.
    • Why are you running Botany and Self Care? Not trying to be mean, but your build could be better if winning is your goal. CoH rather than Self Care, maybe Unbreakable if you're getting slugged a lot.
    • I agree that Twins need a rework.
    • Killers absolutely do not need a nerf, with the exception of maybe some Nurse and Blight addons.

That's not the only thing Twins is good for, it is just an opinion. It is the fact they can slug so easily that it overshadows everything else. When something is broken, players will exploit that. Like Blight gliding around wall.

I have little faith in BHVR fixing camping. Their track record on these things are below average. I'm sure they'll be an exploit to that so it doesn't do anything. After all, they said they wanted to make sure killers could still "proxy camp". So, tunneling will be still as effective as always since DS is only a 1-time use.

Sloppy is a great perk it wouldn't be used so much. It oppresses the healing mechanic. A survivor can be 99% healed and if the killer interrupts the survivor it instantly goes back to 0. How is that remotely fair?

I stopped using CoH a long time ago. It is a killer perk. You can actually do a gen before finding and blessing a totem. Why do all that work for "self-care speeds" when it is so easy for killer to remove it? It was overnerfed.

Twin rework? Either they need a rework or Unbreakable should be buffed to be used more than once. If extremely powerful perks like Tinkerer can trigger over and over and over and over, there's no reason Unbreakable is one time and done.

  • @StarLost said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2928631#Comment_2928631

    No, that's what's called a 'Kafkatrap'.

The Legion are 'B' tier, at best.

    Against a perfect 4 man?

In a match of 5 average players, the Legion always wins. That's not really fair. Legion is way too effective for how easy he is to play.

No counterplay to his speed, no counterplay to his instinct. Everyone is always injured because of "no counterplay"

  • The mere fact Otz had to make this video is very telling that something is horribly wrong with Legion. The extreme majority is not able to play against him as he breaks the game.

Who honestly thought that pressing M2 for guaranteed wins is a good idea and fair for the other side?

BHVR hasn't ever learned from their mistakes.

Don't worry, I'm for certain survivors will be nerfed again before fixing Legion.

  • They could do as they do for killers and give really good perks without nerfing them into trash-tier or buffing perks.

You might see more variety. When was the last time a killer perk was nerfed?

This is like calling the kettle black.

The truth of the matter is they constantly nerf survivor perks and leave killer perks in a very broken state.

1 … 7 8 9 10 11 … 57
