No no, I know what a god pallet is. But on this horror of a map, these two are right next to each other. Left, and right.

I mean, yeah. Think of it as the equivalent to the 2 pallet next to the Bathroom on The Game. It's just a double god pallet.

  • It's called a "god pallet". Every map has a 1-3 of them. Hell, The Game has 4, lol

  • Any answer other than Oni is incorrect.

  • To be fair, while BBQ has more function, WGLF has more ways to get stacks. With killer, you have to chase, hit twice, pick up, and hook to get your stack. All that, for just one stack. For survivor, you have to run to a hook and get an unhook. Or take a protection hit. If you do it right and trade hooks, you can actually get 3 stacks in one unhook. Plus it stacks with borrowed time to basically guarantee at least that one stack, even if the killer is camping/tunneling.

So, make it so stacks come with a safe unhook only, and give them 5 seconds of aura reading, just like BBQ. I'd be okay with that.

I don't really pay attention to BBQ auras anyway. I literally use it for the bloodpoints.

  • Depends on the killer. Huntress, Hag, Trapper...killers with slow movement speed, or a lot of preparation (or in hags case, both), need the slowdown. Especially considering a gen or two can get done before a 110% killer can get across a large map.

Otherwise, it's not really necessary, but it's necessary if you don't want to play super aggressive and sweaty. Which is really ironic, cause when you run slowdown perks/addons, people tend to call you sweaty anyway...but killers run them so they don't have to sweat.

yeah, i'm not the best at looping properly, i'll admit that

All you have to remember is - small loops, and jungle gyms are his kryptonite.

They're basically doing the Nurse rework on him. Slapping a cooldown on something and calling it a day isn't great.

Cooldowns on killers are incredibly boring, restrictive, and it will murder flick Billy, which was skillful to do. In their attempts at raising the skill ceiling on Billy, they completely butchered his skill ceiling at the same time.

Doesn't help that most of the add-ons are a complete and utter joke. Add-ons that are too strong are bad. Add-ons that are useless are also bad.

I do agree that Billy was a bit too easy to pick up (even though I sure as hell couldn't do it), but this is just another balance change to please the casuals. It was not out of the question for me to be able to loop Billy for over 5 minutes consistently -- because I knew how to position myself properly. Most people apparently do not. They stand out in the open, don't have a plan of where to go when he approaches, and then go down for it.

There's a difference between "picking up" and "mastering". Wraith is also easy to pick up. He's trash unless you actually master his kit. Same with Doctor.

  • @YaiPa said:

because it is the second proud installment of BHVR's "we're just gonna look at the add-ons". Where they say one killer is only getting an add-on change, just to get ######### bodied. At this point we can only bet on who's the third one.

It's going to be Huntress. Mark my words.

    Incoming overheat mechanic to hatchets.

    @II_KURO_II said:

Alright, from what I can understand, they basically ruined a perfectly fine killer.

I can agree that going against him is a little annoying because of his one shot, but I love how knowing he could pop up out of nowhere on an open map feels.

Is it still possible for him to jump out of nowhere cross-map?

It's only annoying if you don't know how to loop him.

  • Because Hillbilly was the most balanced killer in the game, and BHVR, as they typically do, lies through their teeth when they say "We're happy with how Billy performs", and "the changes we made to his base kit are very minor".

  • No. The DBD community is not NEARLY mature enough to handle this.

  • "SWF is why I lost" is an awful excuse.

  • Rework:

Trapper - should be able to hold a lot more of, if not all of his traps - he already has to place them strategically. Having to walk around and get them is even more damning.

Wraith - doesn't need a complete rework, but I think he should have a purple windstorm built into his base kit. Also get rid of lightburn on him. Why is this even a thing still?

Huntress - Fix her cadillac sized hitboxes and make iri head only one-shot if it's a really long range shot. Her hitboxes are why I really have very little respect for Huntress mains.

Michael Myers - He needs something. Hard to put my finger on what. Even something as simple as being able to stalk out of EW1 faster would do a world of difference.

Hag - Same as Wraith - why do flashlights counter her power completely? Get rid of that. Urban already counters it.

Pig - Make her traps actually useful.

Clown - Literally just shorten his reload time. I also wouldn't mind a direct hit from a bottle work like a Doc's shock, where it can interrupt actions.

Spirit - Just add a tell for when she goes in her power. Like the Huntress wind up, so the survivor can actually know what's going on.

Legion - He needs help. I have no idea personally what could be done with him, but he needs help.

Ghostface - I don't have issues revealing him as survivor. I do it quite literally 100% of the time, so i can't sympathize with the complaints. That being said - on corn maps, he can be revealed through corn....but he can't stalk through corn. That needs fixing. Either he shouldn't be reveal-able through corn or he should be able to stalk through it.

DemoPls - His addons suck. Give him more addon love. Any demo main will tell you this.

Oni - My only grip would be that his hitbox during demon strike is a bit nutty. He'll slam the ground 6 feet to my left and it will hit me, somehow. Can also be observed while actually playing him.

Deathslinger - A lot of people say "slow down his aiming". No. Just add a bloom effect to his aiming. So in order to get an accurate shot, the longer he has to aim. There, still powerful at loops, but actually has counterplay.

Pyramidhead - Why...oh why...on a staircase of literally 2 steps...or any staircase...does his power not work? Come on, dude. Don't do my sexy pphead dirty like that, BHVR.

    Fine as is:

Hillbilly (pre-PTB BASE KIT) - Fine as is. Only his addons needed adjustments.

Nurse - Fine as is. It'd even go as far as to say her base kit didn't need to be touched when they nerfed her.

Doctor - Fine as is. Strong, but has counterplay.

BubbaPls (PTB) - Perfect. Minus the forever chainsaw bug.

Freddy - Unpopular opinion - but fine as is. His slowdown addons were already nerfed months ago, and I don't see the issue with there being a killer that is easy to play and do well with. Imagine survivors complaining that something is "too easy to do well with".

Plague - She's actually fine right now.

  • Actually use it; and not at rank 20. Then you can have an opinion.

Idk why this site keeps deleting my posts, but what I'm tryna say is,

He has a crummy skillset to play against, I don't like playing against him, and I don't care to sit around and get hyper focused by a killer who has far too much range, you can't even really hide from in some cases, and I will take a penalty over having to sit around and endure playing against him.

Idc if I can become a God Player that can Learn to Loop every Doc and I'm Just Bad, like I'm not playing this game to sweat and suffer.

Also, like I said, this is the first time I decided not to suffer through a game against him, so screw me I guess for hating a killer.

    Doctor...too much range.

My god, you can't be a day over 100 hours in DBD.

  • @CyanideBlaze said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1454895#Comment_1454895

I mean, I was ready and willing to take that penalty, and personally?

Not being in the mood to play against broken mechanics every game is a valid enough reason in my book. You think I want to spend 10-15 minutes being shocked, chased, shocked, chased, shocked, hit, hooked, unhooked, shocked, shocked, hit, hooked, unhooked, shock, shock, killed?

I don't care for it and I don't care if you think it's valid or not.

The Doctor is far from broken. Your inability to loop him and dodge his shocks are broken.

  • Oni, to be honest. If we're going by aesthetics.

  • @CyanideBlaze said:

I mean, if I am being completely honest.......

I was asking because I really hate playing against the doctor. Normally I suffer through it and try my best for the team, but today I was already having a bad day and I really just hated being spam shocked and I DC'd intentionally for the first time since installing this game.

I really hate playing against him, and today I just couldn't do it anymore, so I DC'd and got off the game.

You see, people like you are a perfect reason the DC penalty exists. There's plenty of legitimate reasons to DC. "I don't like this killer" isn't one of them.

  • Imagine a DC penalty in a non-competitive game.

IMAGINE a DC penalty in a game that is actually broken on so many levels.

How about making the game fun across the board to play, so people don't feel the need to DC? Just a thought. Or even more, how about fixing the bugs that FORCE people to DC, or cause crashes, BEFORE A DC PENALTY IS IMPLEMENTED?

Heh. This is BHVR. The most backwards thinking developer in existence.

Any perk is a crutch if you rely on them, as for DS and BT, they aren’t my crutch perks as I rarely use them. In fact, I quite commonly go on sprees of using no perks. How about you get evidence before you assume things to try to validate yourself? 🤔

I run survivor with only one perk. Pebble.

    Jump.

  • I think I speak for everyone when I say we want Myers in a speedo.

  • Sure, make your little crutch perks work with cages - as soon as DS gets reworked so it's actually anti-tunnel and not just 60 seconds of superman.

  • Oh god, it's a Kevin fanboy.

  • The thing is, he outright dismisses the fact that the reason people call killers boring is because they suck against them. He dimisses it as a "terrible argument". When, aside from Deathslinger (and spirit to an extent), that's really what it is. When it comes to Freddy, Oni, Nurse etc, which is who people complain about, they just refuse to adapt.

Besides that - nurse gets a cooldown on every power usage, Billy can control the cooldown. So yeah, this is something different indeed

And I like how you're expecting how people are in this forum. Like you're the only god and the other ones are just plebs. Nurse getting a cooldown is not the same as Billy getting a cooldown. You need to play more killer.

He has "loudest one in the room" syndrome. Seriously though, if you want an objective opinion, you have to consider the new players and veterans alike. A lot of experience can also hinder your understanding of someone else's opinion who is coming at the game from a different angle than you.

Ninja edit to say: I don't think most people here want SWF actually removed, just addressed as problematic. Like many other threads floating around here.

I don't care whether or not "everyone notices me". I'm just against the assertion that SWF, while unbalanced, is this huge problem that people say it is. As I said, even VETERAN and WELL KNOWN members of the community know this simply isn't true. The majority of SWF's are just normal people having fun, and not try harding. Therefore, using it as an excuse why you lose all your games is horse #########.

I get that mending can be annoying but the amount of time they choose to waste self caring or healing is on them not on the killer

Most good survivors don't heal against a Legion unless they have Thana. Which many do.

Therefore, it's not a waste of time. They actually SAVE time by fully healing if the Legion has thana.

I addressed what you said earlier. You keep spouting the same nonsensical excuses for your losing over and over again. You're the one ignoring the words of someone with far more experience than you.

Because issues change with time, you can't compare the game back at launch to now its not the same game. The game was literally broken at launch with windows and literal infinites and instant gens. Of course that was unbalanced.

The game since then has changed, it has added way more perks, way more abilities, things have gotten nerfed and buffed. Also I don't care about your time played since time doesn't equal skill. You see 1000 hour survivors in red ranks who still have to rely on urban evasion and have to hide all game because they still cannot for the life of them run a killer.

I've played killer consistently to red ranks every reset yet with my time in the game im still a rank 20 ape nurse compared to my other killers I play. Time doesn't mean skill. Again you are skirting my issues im raising by continuing to bring up "get better" or trying to gaslight with the fact that you play killer.

*Quick Edit btw; I don't want SWF to be removed btw. I just want people to address and realize the issues with it instead of trying to put all the blame on killers.

I can compare the game back then. I have the experience on both sides of the spectrum that gives me that privilege.

  • @MeatBycicle said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1422610#Comment_1422610

So are you going to address my other issues I brought up? I've never come across an SWF group in red ranks that wasn't "trying" and taking "advantage" of all the things at their disposal unless they were purposefully farming or trolling.

I can only speak for myself in that I don't expect to win every match, there will be people always better than myself and others. The only point myself and others are trying to make about SWF is what I have already stated that everyone ignores and pretends to not read.

I'm 5k hours into this game, 3k of it being killer. You don't have to school me about what is and isn't happening. I know full well everything you're saying, but SWF isn't the be-all-end-all of things in this game, and the amount of people tryharding is exponentially small at all ranks. If you think it's bad now, you should have seen it years ago. The game is the most balanced now than it has EVER been. Is it perfect? No, but the days of using "SWF" and "matchmaking" as an excuse are nonsense in 90% of cases. You can roughly date anyone based purely on what they complain about. Jump in your DeLorean and go back to 2016, when things were actually bad.

Then come back here, and realize that for the most part, what you're doing is making excuses, and you need to just get better.

  • @MeatBycicle said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1422595#Comment_1422595

It's not that every team is a pro depip squad, its that SWF inherently gives a massive advantage to the survivors even if its just two people. Those two SWF are able to communicate better together, which in return benefits the other two survivors on their team.

If it is a 3 man or 4 man SWF group the advantage is even bigger. Every argument defending SWF is always this; its just friends wanting to play together, not every SWF is a try hard pro group, solo queue sucks, killers just want an easy win.

However that is exactly what most SWF enthusiasts want, an easy / easier win. They don't want to play solo queue the way the game was originally designed around, they want to play with their friends which is fine, but don't pretend its not 100% easier.

Why is it that when a killer asks for a full solo queue game they get bashed on saying they just want an easy win, or they need to get better, but people never address the same issue for SWF. They don't want to get better individually and want whatever advantage they can get over a killer to win a majority of their games.

Correction - they have advantages at their DISPOSAL. The assertion that people are using SWF to it's full potential and creating these horribly one-sided games in every single match is horse #########. Like I said, try hards exist, but most people are just having fun with their friends and not try harding. There is, once again, a huge element of "you just need to git gud" to this.

  • So - a lot of you salty people are trying your hardest to justify every loss you get because of either matchmaking or SWF.

While SWF has the POTENTIAL to be quite OP and unfair, the amount of tryhard SWF "seal team 6" teams are VERY few and far between. There is a rather large part of this that is just you needing to "git gud" as they say. Even veteran killer mains will tell you this. 99% of SWF's are just people shooting the ######### with their friends.

My thoughts were to implement proximity chat range and for distance communication use of walkie talkies but then again. F13 already does that. Might be looked as copied ideas. But agreed it needs changing.

I would just prefer more emotes, maybe preset phrases with hotkeys etc. The DBD community is not NEARLY mature enough to handle voice chat.

Even trash red rank survivors are better than rank 20s playing their first few games... I mean come on.

Nah. Cheating has a definition. You just don't want to admit that your SWF matches are basically easy-mode cheat-fests that a 5 year old could win instead of your mad skillz winning the match.

Cheating has a definition - and the definition for cheating in a game is defined by the developers.

I don't care what the devs allow. The devs could allow wallhacks, and they'd still be cheating.

They did not realize how badly SWF would be abused, or to what extent it would favor Survivors, when they implemented it. Now, they can't remove it or the game would collapse, because 99% of Survivors play SWF.

    It's still cheating, by definition.

The definition of cheating is done per game, by the creators of the game. Not by the players.

    Your opinion is invalid.
