  • I run BBQC, Nurses Calling and Discordance for maximum aura reading cheese. You probably played vs me. lol

  • As long as the Survivors get BP rewards for working on the fake generator this has my vote +1

  • @NurseMainBTW said:

Decisive strike has never been more balanced than this. A perk suited for a good purpose that is strong AND has counterplay and ways to play around it. No need for buffs or it would go back in the broken tier

"Decisive Strike has never been more balanced"

All it does is punish tunneling poorly. Extremely situational, easily counterable even when tunneling. I don't think I've seen anyone use it since the nerf.

That would be why DS is 'balanced', for the same reason that Head On is 'balanced'. Because nobody uses it because it is just that bad. lol

Killer fan-boy's idea of balance ^

  • You know someone was going to find a way to abuse the system.

If you abuse it, it will get nerfed, look at Legion. People will never learn.

  • Meh, face camping is boring, I much prefer the catch and release method. Loads more BP too.

    And here's something Zen;

Killers are here to entertain Survivors are here to entertain Killers are here to entertain Survivors are here to entertain. . .

    You get the idea.

  • 1 - They gave -lots- of notice on the re-work

2 - It's been half a year man, half a year of easy-mode face rolling. It's not a 'quick decision'.

3 - My first match as Legion post re-work:

    Still Good.png

  • After I activate FF I'll just continue to chase them down till it wears off and hit them again with M1. Quite relaxing actually. Just a bit annoying when it wears off just before a vault or a pallet (which happens often)

  • My first legion match since nerf and one disconnected on the hook, 2 more sacrificed, one escaped via hatch.

    Whats the big deal.

  • image.png

    Brace yourselves folks.

  • @gantes said:

I'm usually against telling people to "git gud", but there's not much else to say to people complaining about new Legion.

@gantes Aye you don't see Freddy bitching about his sorry state of affairs 😜

  • @Theluckyboi awesome gif. I laughed hard 😂

  • Blocking people in the basement was a bannable offense. If this was still a thing now that EGC is live (which by the way is a massively one sided Killer buff and Survivor nerf so you should be happy) then people would just disconnect if blocked in the basement.

So they can go around, big deal. Just point your mouse at them and click.

  • If he is god level OP I'll buy him for the ez till hes nerfed in 2021

  • Everyone else adapts to nerfs re-works. Legion is not exempt from this rule.

  • May I present another 'second chance' mechanic: HOOK RESCUES!

Next people will be saying "OMG Rescuing people from hooks is OP! it's just another 'second chance' mechanic! nerf!"

  • Because it's 4v1 the Killer will always need to be 4 times more powerful than each individual Survivor.

Your never going to get a 'feeling' of balance around that.

  • @Tru3Lemon

'MoM is OP because everyone uses it' -

    Crutchery.png

By that reasoning BBQC, Ruin and Nurses Calling is OP and needs a nerf.

Basically every Killer who has any sense is going to be using the above perks because they work.

Just because perks are powerful doesn't mean their OP and need to be nerfed. If that was the case everyone would just have a bunch of potato perks that barely work at the best of times and don't really do much of anything to be bothered about.

  • Because good perks that are NOT op need to be in the game:

Noed: is a good perk, better than most which is perfectly balanced and counterable despite what people say.

BBQC: Is a good perk, better than most which is perfectly balanced and counterable despite what people say.

MoM: Is a good perk, better than most which is perfectly balanced and counterable despite what people say.

DC: Was a good perk, better than most which was perfectly balanced and counterable despite what people said. (But it got nerfed, now Survivors are using far better perks that have slid under the radar to this day because they don't affect the Killer directly so it all worked out for the best)

If we start nerfing everything just because perks are good and actually work then we'll just end up with a perk inventory filled with boosted stuff like Head On that never works and nobody takes so it just ends up sitting in the blood web gathering dust.

  • If the Doctor doesn't hit you with his shock therapy, you're survivor shouldn't scream.

"If the Doctor doesn't hit you with his shock therapy, you're survivor shouldn't scream. It's not fair trying to be stealthy and screaming for no reason, giving away my position to him. The killer did nothing to earn this"

The Killer most certainly did do something to earn this. . . THEY PAID FOR THE DOCTOR EXPANSION.

Awww snap! pay for t3h win!

  • Seriously though I was thinking something similar today where Survivors in a lobby could drop items on the ground for each-other to pick up and share.

  • While wer're at it can I get Blink on Trapper? 😅

  • I always leave the hook to give my Survivors a fair chance at escaping, and if by chance I'm near by when a rescue occurs I'll only ever go after the rescuer because its the sportsmanlike thing to do.

All of that makes me feel good about my behavior during the game.

Anything else just feels scummy and makes me feel bad.

  • To be honest I almost never get to use MoM because the Killer can never find me to hit me in the first place. When they do 9 times out of 10 they're a M2 Killer so MoM is totally negated.

Mostly for me MoM is a highly situational wasted perk slot that punishes playing well and rewards playing poorly.

If MoM built tokens by ESCAPING a Killer that would make it counterable by the Killer and harder for the Survivor to build, just don't lose your prey but would make it even more situational and would make most people shelve it for better perks like they did DS there by making Survivors harder to beat (and there are a LOT of other better perks out there)

Killers just don't like MoM because it is a highly noticeable perk that affects them directly. If Killers only knew how OP Alert actually was they'd want it nerfed far more than they want MoM nerfed.

  • Just give Killers progressively less BP reward for sacrificing the longer they stay within terror radius of the hook.

BP punishment stops while chasing other Survivors through the hook area.

    Problem solved.

  • Some people find being challenged is fun, so less viable Killers requiring a higher skill ceiling to do well are for them.

  • There's a 6 level gap between 4 and 10. That's big enough of a gap to matter.

    • Red ranks should only be able to group with other Red ranks and the cusp of Purple ranks and vice versa.
    • Purple ranks should only be able to group with other Purple ranks and the cusp of Green ranks and vice versa.
    • Green ranks should only be able to group with other Green ranks and the cusp of Yellow ranks and vice versa.
    • Yellow ranks should only be able to group with other Yellow, Brown ranks and vice versa.

Red ranked players should never be seen in Yellow ranked matches. That's just stupid.

  • Survivors are Skins whose perks are all interchangeable because they don't have unique abilities like Killers.

Some of these skins are better than others (blending in with the background / getting the killers attention with high vis if you like chases)

P1 Ash is pretty good for stealth play because blood covers both his head and his shirt and blue and red is pretty hard to see, not nearly as hard as Claudette who also has a much smaller frame.

Most Killers will go after you as Ash because they have lots of salt.

If you like Ash buy em, if not wait for his perks to come up in the shrine.

  • There's no need to block the stairs when you can just play the game:

    • When their coming down the stairs hit them once
    • After they've rescued the other Survivor hit them again and their down
    • Go after their rescued ally, hit them as well, return and hook them both.

  • When I cant get a Killer match I'll run Survivor.

Killer queues are so borked mostly I'll just give up and run Survivor.

Usually I'll be sitting there for half an hour + tabbing in and out to see if the match building in players on Killer lobby where on Survivor I'll instantly get matches as soon as I select them.

Seems as there's 5 players per match and only 1 slot for Killer that's 5 people effectively competing for 1 spot so its harder to get Killer matches.

80% of my time is spent looking for Killer matches.

10% of my time is spent playing Killer matches

10% of my time is spent playing Survivor matches.

    • Hold down RMB and point the bright end at their face and they'll be stunned so you can escape.
    • Tapping RMB does nothing and will get you hooked.

I know which I'd be doing.

  • Between a never ending pile of house work I kept having to go off to check on / feed / change / settle / burp my son so I only managed to sneak in a match or two. I got my Wraith from rank 1 to 41 and have all his trainable perks so I'm happy 😆

  • @GrootDude said:

I’m rank 8 (both sides), I use knock out + Franklin’s demise and I main Wraith. I win most games but don’t pip often.

I just started playing Wraith and I was like 'omg where where you all my life' such a stress free Killer. I now play more Killer than Survivor matches and am having a blast at Rank 10.

I currently don't use Ruin because I know how frustrating it is as a Survivor to encounter. I want my Survivors to enjoy their game because that's just the kind of person I am? lol

  • If Pharmacy gave med kits with insta heal add on it would be a worth while perk to take.

  • How to deal with MoM as a M1 KIller (M2 Killers can stop reading here)

MoM takes 3 hits to prep and triggers on the 4th hit but let's break it down

Survivor still only ever takes 2 hits to down at any stage along this process, if you can hit a Survivor twice in a row your good.

    Stage 1:

    • Hit them twice and their down for the hook.
    • Don't let them escape or they'll just self care and mess your mojo up.
    • Once hooked don't let them get taken off the hook and your good.

    Stage 2:

    • Hit once more and their down for the hook.
    • Don't let them escape or they'll just self care and mess your mojo up.
    • If they're rescued hit them again (3rd time, MoM is now prepped) and hook them a second time. Just 1 more hook to go!

    Stage 3:

If they've been rescued again MoM now triggers on your next hit, simply continue the chase and hit them again.

2 hits and they're down for the final hook and their done (just like in stage one, the same amount of times for any Survivor even ones without MoM)

  • You do know you can use BP earned by any other Killer or Survivor to level up any playable character in game right?

  • Pig is the only Killer that has 2 abilities alongside M1

She still has sneak attack, something Trapper doesn't have in end game.

  • As an aura reading perk Alert is better than OoO it shows the Killers aura whenever they break a pallet or more importantly kick a gen (because Killers are ALWAYS kicking gens) because of this you can make it go off regularly just by tapping gens and moving on to a safer one to give you a predictable pattern of where the Killer is at all times.

But yeah Spine Chill or Premonition if not Alert. all great perks, the former two being non aura reading but directional pre warning notifications.

  • Survivors have hatch that only the last member can use per match.

Killers have Mori usable on between 1 to 4 Survivors per match.

Killers will soon be able to close the hatch

Yet Survivors wont be able to pick the Killers pocket for their Mori offering.

  • I hate bringing Ruin because I have a conscience.

  • I don't know, I find both sides equally challenging and rewarding in their own ways.

  • I feel a bit uneasy, even a little wary when around team mates who use Bond, I've been farmed by them and their pet friendly Killer in the past.

  • I've been playing Wraith fairly, catch and release letting them de-hook while I hunt for others and do it all again till their either all hooked or all escaped.

And at the end of the match everyone is grateful even if I did sacrifice them all because I followed the 'Gentleman Killer' code of conduct that allows everyone to have fun and everyone to get a good amount of points if they so choose.

  • I did this in MS Paint while the rest of my team mates where doing absolutely nothing at a Vodafone Tech support contact center last Christmas:

    MS Paint Doodle Challenge.jpg

    Money well earned.

  • I don't think I've ever escaped from wiggle free, there are just too many hooks spaced far too close together that even with Boil Over wiggle exaggerator and the highly situational Flipflop up to 50% wiggle bar reduction for it to be even remotely a thing.

Even sabotaging a few hooks makes little to no difference because they just spring right back up again just in time for you to be hooked.

  • As Freddy + Discordance, Survivors spawning together is exactly what you want.

But who plays Freddy right? lol

  • You just buy them from the store right?
