Hi. I did read this, like most of the posts here, even if we don't get a chance to respond to all of them.
First and foremost, there's isn't necessarily auto-aim, so to speak. What happens is that the game checks a cone shaped area in front of you to see if a survivor is there. If there is, it registers that as a hit and pulls you and your camera towards them. This is just to make your weapon looks like it visually appears to go through the survivor. The important thing is that when this happens, the killer has already gotten the hit. It's "movie magic", as it were.
As for making the survivor hitbox smaller, that wouldn't really be possible. The hitbox is already about the same size as the survivor themselves. Here's an example from a previous dev stream:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/146/AFJZEMD24Z51.png
Making them smaller would have huge ramifications on other parts of the game. For example, survivors would be able to fit through even tighter gaps that the killer cannot (fat shaming), clip through walls, and take loops way tighter than the killer.
If we're talking specifically about hits through windows, this comes down to latency, not the hitbox itself. The hitbox is working as intended, the issue is that what you see as the survivor and what the killer sees on their end are two different things. There's only so much we can do about that unless you're physically in the same room as one another, since it takes time for data to get from one place to another.
Words cannot express my satisfaction that a dev has acknowledged the term 'fat shaming' as canon in DBD.

None, the only killer that needs nerfs right now is Freddy.

everybody Happy
Weird way to spell survivor mains... 🤔
-
The devs have said pretty definitively that it was a bug that is not coming back.

The issue is that simply pulling your weight should grant a safety pip, not rank progression. Because if you're performing at the same level as all your teammates at the same rank, that means you're at the rank you should be at. You should have to go above and beyond to demonstrate that you are skilled beyond your rank and thus deserve to progress higher.
Also, I think it's problematic that survivors lose points for every second that their teammate remains on the hook in the first place, because it's not reflective of actual strategic gameplay. There is no strategic disadvantage to allowing someone to stay on the hook until it's a good time to unhook them, as long as they don't die or reach second stage. In fact, more often than not, there is a strategic disadvantage to unhooking someone as soon as possible. What you're doing with a system like that is artificially punishing people for playing the game normally, and encouraging them to adopt a particular playstyle for the sake of their rank. That's one of the main problems with the current rank system, so if you're seeking to improve upon the current system, you should be actively eliminating such features.
Well-put.

Literally who is asking for Jason? Not one person I know has ever even mentioned wanting Jason.
-
Nope, but I consider the shrine a waste of shards anyway. Much rather save them to buy killers/survivors.
-
They're working on a fix right now, it should be out in 1-2 weeks.

Being able to grab healthy survivors vaulting would be absurd. I think if maybe it made the animation for grabbing people quicker, picking them up off the ground etc that would be a nice change to it.
So grabbing them off doors, gens, etc. makes sense somehow? No one would run the perk anyway, it's way too situational.
-
Never seen a ghostface play like this.
-
As if we need more useless survivors at red ranks.
1 solo gen: 60 points
1/2 another gen: 30 points
1 safe hook save: 25 points
1.5 gens and 1 save shouldn't give a pip. You've barely played.
-
If you're at least tier 45 at this point, you don't need to worry. You'll make it (assuming you keep playing.)
-
They just need to add a rank reward at the end of the season, like literally every other game with ranked matchmaking.
-
Nope, they're original (finally, after 6 months of no original content :/).

If you are having trouble playing killer in 2019 that's on you.
You are certainly the minority as shown in statistical information or by any streamer.
Otz just played 16 games of trapper without Ruin and brown add ons and 0 games were 5 gens completed
Who cares about how some low-tier streamer plays killer? Does this guy speak for the whole community?
Didn't think so.

Broken killer, too powerful, 0 TR completely counters 7 different survivor perks, not to mention the easy first hit. Nerf him right now BHVR!
-
Deliverance + DS has saved me in the endgame so many times it's ridiculous. Two perks that will never leave my build.
-
No. This kind of feature would be abused to hell and back. People would literally just aviod people better than them/play in ways they find bad
-
My friend bought it for me, and insisted I play with him.

Spirit is still broken OP, fixated might actually give injured suvivors a chance and you just want it to be easy
Spirit is literally worse than Freddy, and no one complains about him?

No.

If you are the guy being camped you clearly have no skill either to be caught by a killer that has no skill?

I honestly think oni is fine. People just need to get used to him.

More general perks.

I honestly think Amanda is a more tragic character than Hoffman, because she seemed to genuinely believe that going through the games was a method to self-improve. Of course, then she went psycho, but that's how she gets here bloodlust in this game.

Thank you all for the fast and thorough responses. I had a feeling this would be the case, especially with Easy AntiCheat. I'll wait and see if an official response comes in, but I feel like I've gotten a good answer so far. Does anyone have a good idea on a non-bannable alternative? For instance, a way to mute only the heartbeat. Since the killer's music plays when they get close, my friend could probably use just that if they have to mute the heartbeat.
No, there's no way to lower individual sound levels. Only master sound and menu music.

It's easy to shoplift when you're a good runner. 😀
In all seriousness, she's played by a good portion of the community, many of whom will shell out $$$ to get a good outfit for their main.
-
Considering it's already almost winter 2019, I'm gonna go with a no.
-
Even if it were allowed, the audio files are contained in WindowsNoPaks, so the game wouldn't even let you play if it detected these were edited.
-
Don't like campers? Don't get hooked.
In all seriousness, these perks are way too niche to ever be worth running, and even if they were, they'd never be in the game, because the devs have said over and over again that camping is a legitimate strategy.
Also clones? Really? What is this, Cyberpunk 2077?

Deathgarden mask looks good because you can't see her face. Checkmate atheist.
True, it's my favorite headpiece for her.

In a game where adrenaline is the meta, this would never fly. Too many people wouldn't bother healing, they'd just bring toolboxes/prove thyself
-
If the queue times are long enough, the rank restriction goes out the window. I've had numerous games where my survivors were all 10+ ranks higher than me.
-
That's the nature of the matchmaking system. Try playing during peak hours for your area.

I notified you twice and that's about it... that isn't really "spam." But thank you for the link.
To someone who comes back to the forums with 10+ notifications each time, two from the same thread can be quite annoying, much less two from the same person asking the same question they could have answered themselves.

Right, but he still didn't really give me a statement on if they do give Rift Fragments after a new Rift is made or not...
@SilentSpectre Please do provide that information, as I would like to get my info right for the next time this is asked. (The part where Tomes will not give Rift Fragments for every new Rift that's made... I've never seen that being said anywhere UNLESS I missed something).

I am referring to the current active TOME 1: Awakening with the four levels: I, II III IV. Sorry I am not too familiar how they are currently described. I am still on Level III
Dead by Daylight is an asymmetrical multiplayer (4vs1) horror game where one player takes on the role of the savage Killer, and the other four players play as Survivors, trying to escape the Killer and avoid being caught and killed.@FireHazard In the future, try not to spam someone who hasn't visited the forums; one notification is enough.

Really?....I have completed Tome's One and Two but Three I still need to complete. I have to do two more Survivor and most of the Killer. Will Tome 3 still be active by the time the second Rift becomes available?
Tome 1 refers to the currently active tome: Tome I: Awakening. Are you talking about the levels? Because all the levels and their challenges will no longer give fragments once Tome II is released, only BP.

Save them for the next Rift, they won't vanish or anything like that.

Thanks for the reply. So you are saying that the Tome challenges won't vanish..correct? and to start the remaining Tome challenges when the new Rift becomes available....corrrect?
Wrong, Tome 1 challenges will no longer offer rift fragments once the next rift opens.
-
Just add a 2v8 mode already.
-
Maybe if they remove like 2 drops, a locker would be warranted. As it stands, the top of the sanctum is stupidly safe.

@Nestoche said:
Quick question. I have reached Tier 70 but still need to complete some Survivor challenges and Killer challenges. Do the Fragments of the challenges carry over onto the next Rift Tier when it becomes available?
No. Any extra fragments are useless.

I would submit an official ticket, so long as you also filed an in-game report.
