That's why I always try to be objective.
It was fine to sit on the exit gate, waste killers' time to tbag him at the end and force him to come to the exit gate. Whenever killers whined about this, survivors would tell them to get over with it, that the wasted time was not really important, that he should grow up and accept the defeat etc.
And now this happens. Survivors whine. I guess it wasn't nice after all was it?
I understand that not everybody did that but some did and others are paying the price for it. Just like the basement scenario, not everybody did it but some killers were taking the game hostage and now everybody pays the price.
DbD in a nutshell.
But I 100% agree with your argument.
Its so true.

More so with comedy horror not to bash on evil dead it's a classic but it's drifting away from a horror game and I hear the term its a party game alot such a shame tbh I wish the game was actually survival horror or heading in that direction than the direction its currently going.
In this 1 min and 5 seconds, they say many things.
But everything was the opposite from a horror game.
And I agree with you.
Many people understand, that killers are the powerole.
Because the powerole make the game scary.

I NEVER teabagged or hold the game hostage just to mess with the killer. I always got out asap, don't want to waste my time or anyone else's. Even if I did see a lot of survivors staying while I was getting out. You can't blame me for this, so I don't deserve this. Other survivors deserve this? Sure, but not me.
Then blame the survivors and not the killers.
-
And they nerfed pig.
And they give Ghostface something similar as killer ability.
Oh someone said it,too.
MMHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
-
*survivors tea-bag 30 min in the exit gates*
Survivors: "Thats fine"
*killer want a killer with the EGC*
Survivors: "The holding the game hostage for 4 min.
He abused the Endgame, because he find the hatch first."

@artist said:
is it so hard to get 4-5 traps on survivors before 5 gens?
Using RBT in the normal game = the slow effect is complete RNG
Using RBT in the endgame = Lets play a Game
I was a great feeling to play endgame piggy.
But hey, they just destroy a playstyle.

We understand that Pig is an Endgame killer, but if she were still the same Pig when she released, she might be used more than the NURSE considering the fact that she can make EVERY. SINGLE. PERSON. unable to escape until they remove the trap! That right there is Op on it's own. Imagine this: The Hatch is closed, and the RBT had been activated after the last generator was activated, someone opened the Exit Gates, but due to the fact you have an RBT on your head, waiting to trigger, you have to search Jigsaw boxes, however, you can't search them because the Pig is patrolling the areas, and you can't do sh#t. You die via RBT or Entity. I understand the changes to the pig would be to make her less effective on the Endgame, because the new game mechanic makes her too OP pre-nerf.
1 survivor is alive = Then yes, the RBT should not be active
2-4 survivors are alive = Then no, the RBT should be active.
You need ~1 min to find the right key.
Just slow the EGC timer as long as someone is wearing a Reverse Bear Trap. @TAG
Then everything would be fine.
She would be not OP.
She would not be weak.
But f******** removing the killer power is just DUMB.
If you play vs Pig in the endgame, then it should be a difficult HORROR game.
Now its just a boring playground.
-
What was the thought behind the pig nerf?
Leaving the match with a RBT on the head is not a great SAW feeling.
-
Piggy with tampered timer and another add on like box of gears of something with bloodwarden and remember me
Tampered timer = 2 min RBT timer
Why is this addon OP in the endgame?
Box of Gears = 12 seconds + 3,6
15,6 seconds = 1 Jigsaw box
And you can find the key in the first box.
This would have a small impact in the endgame.
Remember me:
This is a bad perk for the endgame.
Because the endgame starts, when 1 gate is open.
And remember make only 16 seconds.
Bloodwarden:
This is the best endgame perk for pig.
You get 1 person, use your RBT and hook this survivor.
Then you get more survivors and use more RBT.
So Bloodwarden is active in the first min from the endgame.
You can still find the right keys.
If you not find the right key, then the RBT will kill you,
before the entitiy do it.
Pig was low-mid tier.
Without the nerf, she would be mid-high tier.
Now she is low tier.
Enjoy your Nurse in High rank, because survivors cant play vs time pressure.
2~4 min and the timer starts after 1 gate is open.
Do you rly need 2~4 min to go through a open gate?
This pig nerf is dumb, because she is a ENDGAME KILLER.
That mean SHE SHOULD BE STRONG IN THE ENDGAME.
Now the endgame is just a playground for survivors.

I mean, this is a great suggestion but by the looks of things, we won't get this in 3 years lol
It is strange that best pig addons are the common and uncommon addons. These 2 addons you mentioned, last will and combat straps are superior to all the other options that pig has.
I wonder what the real numbers are as well. This 2 addon combination is really strong.
Yes, I only use Last Will,Video Tape and John's Medical File.
Combat straps are not very good, after the little pig buff.
I was just wondering, if they stack correctly.
And thanks the entity for the DbD wiki.

Might’ve just been an oversight from the devs in stating what it’s true purpose is, similar to Award Winning Chili for Leatherface.
I believe from what you’ve shown and how simple math works is that they clearly either forgot to either A. Change the percentage into a decimal for easier understanding or B. Intended on having both add-ons be percentage based, with one having two benefits, or out of those two, they just messed something up with the value of one of the add-ons and practically made it the same as the other without the benefit.
My english is not very good,
but I think I understand you.
Now I think an Addon calculator would be nice.
Example:
On the left screen, there are the addons.
On the right screen, there are all killer numbers(Charge time,RBT,Ambush hit,ect..)
Then you use addons and the calculator show you,
what are the new killer numbers(Charge time,RBT,Ambush hit,ect..).

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/61809/why-dont-the-devs-listen
they had to change the pig cause she was an end game killer, and as players say devs dont listen well the end was at 3 min now they changed it to 2 mins. so that tells me that they listened to that part:) and they changed the legion that alot of players ask for.
Endgame starts after 1 gate is open.
Endgame timer : 2~4 min
Blood Warden : 1min
RBT timer : 2,5 min
No matter what happen, the RBT kill you before the endgame does it.
And you need only ~ 1min to find the right key.
So I dont understand the pig nerf, because I use math.
-
@gantes said:
You guys are aware that if the nerf makes that much of a difference to you, you were probably playing her wrong right?
Just to be sure.
Not everything in this game has to be an insurance for after you fail your job at preventing gens to be done.
Endgame piggy:
- she can counter gen rush
- endgame was difficult for the survivors
- you could still do something after the gates are powered
- it was funny, but not an exploit(legion moonwalk)
-
Yes, the basement change was a necessary nerf.

But they still count as nerfs when someone lists them out to make the claim that survivors have been nerfed. To say otherwise is the No True Scotsmen fallacy.
The only thing I hate more than a bad argument that disagrees with me is a bad argument that agrees with me. Since I can't even say your conclusion (that Survivors are in control and need further improvements in order to be balanced) is wrong.
Ok, I'll take this note :3

Healing nerf, removal of pallet vacuum, exhaustion nerf, flashlight nerf, fewer safe loops, etc.
There are plenty of nerfs. They were not "fixes". What is realistic is that you simply don't think they are enough.
Healing: Ok yes, nobody ask for this.
Pallets: That was a fix. 25 pallets for each map and every pallet is safe, because the vacuum
Exhaustion: 2 times Sprintboost , if the chase is 60 seconds long. That was a great fix.
Flashlights: I got a video for you.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R98e-Y4Lu8w&t=71sloops: Running in circles is sooooo funny and you need sooooooo much skill for it.
This loops were infinities. It was a great FIX, because it was a exploit.
-
Survivors:"Killer get 1 nerf and now they crying.
In the last years, survivors got only nerfs".
Survivors didnt get nerfs.
This things were fixes.
2 times SprintBoost in 1 chase is rly annoying.
And this pig nerf was totally stupid.
Because it destroy endgame piggy and they nerfed a low-mid tier killer.
I dont play Survivor, because I hate Nurse in High Rank.
I want pig in High Rank.

Basically, I'm hoping somewhere down the line they give a purpose to her end game traps like a stackable buff or something depending on how many you have left over.
I have tons of ideas on how they can make the pig incredible, but we have to bite the bullet on this patch until they do something, all for a simple hatch close.....
I have a rly good Idea.
Only Nurse in High Rank.
Because they nerf mid tier killer.
Hell yeah.
This will be boring.

@fluffybunny said:
But all survivors use selfcare.
This is the only reason, why this perk is useless.
Because survivors run away, if you want heal them.
You get all kinds when playing solo. I've had people angle themselves so that I would go down instead of them getting hit. I've had people run away from me with We'll Make It even while the killer wasn't nearby. It's hard to rely on others.
You also have to realize that selfcare is a selfish perk while autodidact isn't. You're bringing in something to help the team, but not yourself. So if someone else doesn't have a healing perk or can't be asked to heal you, you're screwed unless you have something to heal yourself or perks/map knowledge to be able to work around being injured.
This is a big difference.
The killer perk numbers are so little.
Survivors just get the complete map.
Empathy only activates while the other person is injured (which isn't really that useful tbh. You don't need to know the killer is chasing an injured person across the map and if they lost them, but still run around like a chicken with their head cut off, you could be mislead). Bond is good as you can see your team up close, so you know where people are working on gens, if they're going for saves, where they are if you need a heal, etc. Deerstalker is meant to be used to find the slugs. You're seeing the opposition, so this isn't an apples to apples comparison at all.
With this information sloppy butcher should have 4*33%=132%.
But this would be insane.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there a no heal meta thanks to sloppy butcher?
I rly dont get it, why survivors run selfcare in a 1 vs 4 game.
Probably because it's only a 1 vs 4 in theory. Your team can be the biggest killers on the map. Even in SWF.
Iron Will: 100 %
Stridor: 50 %
In a 4 vs 1 game is this stupid.
Even when it says 100%, you do still make some noise. I've heard people say they use stridor to counter iron will.
Franklin's Demise: 10 %
You could delete this numbers and nobody would care.
35% would be good.
You're making survivors waste time picking up items and give the possibility of deleting an item someone is trying to save or denying their wards.
Sloppy Butcher was 25%.
Then the healing time increase and sloppy butcher got nerf(25%-20%).
Sloppy Butcher is the same like before, but they increase the basic heal time.
Killer tried out the heal perks.
That was the no heal meta.
Yes selfcare is a selfish perk and you should get a reward if you dont use it.
Im just saying that many survivors perks are better than killer perks,
because the numbers.
And DbD is a 1 vs 4 game.
So the killer should have stronger perks.
-
@RakimSockem said:
okay, time to address this mess.
SWF = Survive with friends.
It's a game mode for people who want to play with their friends.
Or if you're a killer main who only plays killer, it's 4 legendary skilled players who want to abuse the game and troll you. Every single SWF team are trolls and they ALL need to be nerfed, because ya know..... casual SWF doesn't exist.
Killers can just as easily figure out survivor perks in the same way that survivors can figure out killer perks so I don't even know why someone mentioned that as an argument.
An you're also not going to find many WHOLE teams running this build. I play killer and I can tell you, it's not really a common thing to come across an entire team running those builds. (No one in my friend group runs MoM except me on my Ash who I rarely play)
And then you mention buffing killers under the assumption that ALL SWF team are try hard and super skilled and killers have no way of beating them (which is provably false), but that doesn't take into account the majority of players who are running solo or in duos
I said, I dont have a problem with SWF.
I have a problem with SWF, when survivor abuse it.(tryhard)
And I hate nurse after some time.
Only nurse in high rank is kinda boring.

@Endorb said:
"I never use this 'tracking thing'"? So, you're saying you don't see the benefit to the hemorrhage effect of Sloppy butcher? You still have to consider it exists.
The most direct killer vs Survivor example is Iron Grasp vs Boil Over; at level 3, both of them give a 75% change to wiggle speed, effectively negating eachother. However, Boil Over makes killers unable to see the closest hooks, while Irpn Grasp lets the killer travel further with the survivor; in this matchup Irom Grasp proves more useful.
With your botany knowledge vs Sloppy butcher comparison, remember that healing a survivor takes 2 people (or, with a perk, one person and twice as long). You might only see a 4-5 second increase, but you're having 2 survivors occupied for that. The survivors could choose instead to not heal, but if they thought botany knowledge then they wasted a perk slot. And again, survivors will lose time trying to find eachother for healing
And again, survivors will lose time trying to find eachother for healing
Yeah, the killer must find survivors ,too.
Otherwhise sloppy butcher dont work.
And I never use the tracking thing, because I dont lose survivors in a chase.
And Im just saying, for a 4 vs 1 game, many killer perks are weak.
Because the killer is alone and the surviors are a group.
So it would be logical, if the killer have stronger perks.
-
@artist said:
except no swf builds their perks like this because 1 person isn't going to get chased all game. and what's stopping the killer from chasing the healer or the gen guy? also swf doesn't automatically know all killer perks, and they sure as hell don't automatically counter killer abilities.
I said, survivors could abuse SWF.
That mean high skill survivors use SWF with many strong perks.
And survivors have tons of informations.
They could know every killer perk, if they pay attention.

To be clear, I dont have a problem with normal SWF.
I have a problem, when survivors abuse it and finish the game in ~200 seconds.

@Frozenscum said:
Your Botany Knowledge example again do not count that Sloppy will be applied to all survs Killer hits unconditionally, while you need at least 2 survs have Botany to heal them all with increased speed.
If only one will equip it, he can't heal himself and he need to take time to find injured and heal him, wasting time for travel and search. Tier 3 of Botany makes healing be done in 12 secs, while Sloppy increases to 19 secs approx, both effects combined - 14 seconds to heal. So basically, Botany gives you 4-5 seconds shave off, is it worth to abandon whatever you do and go find injured to get those seconds?
Sloppy apart from healing debuff increases bleeding frequency which helps with tracking, so its 2 effects in 1 perk.
I never use this "tracking thing", because I dont need it.
And yes you are right.
The person with Botany Knowledge cant heal himself.
But the killer must search survivors, too.
And DbD is a 1 vs 4 game.
Not a 1 vs 1 game.
So the killer need stronger perks.
-
".....how the hell is that possible"
I play DbD long enough to know, what is possible.
And I got many tryhards in my region.
And trust me, Ruin change nothing vs high skill survivors.

So you're tired of friends that play together and that's why you spent so much writing this post? Lol, swf is totally counterable, you just need to know how to play, whenever I play killer I don't mind seeying if they're friends or not, just accept your failure and go for the next match, trust you can do it better next time and forget any salty ######### because if you just rage with yourself, you will never beat them
Then tell me, how a low-mid tier killer can beat 4 survivors in ~200 seconds.
I dont say SWF is bad.
I say its bad WHAT SWF could do.

Are you really this stupid?????
Killers only useful informations are the lobby information.
They dont have good ingame informations.
When you delete informations for the one side, then you must delete informations for the other side, too.
So if nobody has informations in the lobby, then noboy should get informations ingame.
With your change, killer would have zero informations in the lobby and ingame, but survivors would have tons of informations ingame.
-
@legion_main said:
Any good killer can counter SWF so no reason to change it
Then tell me how a Wraith can hook all survivors 12 times.
Wraith chase 1 survivor and the other survivors do gens.
1 gen = 80 seconds
After 160 seconds, 5 gens can be activated with only 3 survivors.
So the Wraith chase time must be 20 seconds + the animation time/hit cooldown+slow.
-
Ok, then delete every notification information ingame, too.
No notification system for the survivors, because the killer dont get any useful information about the survivor perk.
Example:
Killer notification:"Ohh woow DS hit me, thx game for this information".
Survivor notification:"Oh the killer use Make your choice and Hex:Devour Hope.
Ohh the killer use Clownphobia, but not sloppy butcher.
*totem destroy sound*
Aaaaaaaaaand Hex: Haunted Ground,too.
Conclusion:
Delete the only useful information for killers, ok.
Then delete informations for survivors,too.

@Endorb said:
The issue here is that you're just looking at the numbers and not thinking about the implications. Sure the killer has only 4 perks whole the survivors have 16, but o feel the way you're comparing these, you should treat it like all 4 survivors go in with the same build. And 1 perk from a survivor is less impactful; sure, with iron will you're going to have a harder time finding that one survivor, but if you have 3 other survivors to chase that perk doesn't help the team as a whole all that much; it mostly impacts that one survivor you have trouble finding
So do you say 1 survivor perk should have the same strength like 1 killer perk,
because not every survivor equip this perk?
That would mean 1 killer with 4 perks must win against 4 survivors with 16 perks.
And 1 killer perk = 1 survivor perk.
But ok.
Then explain this:
Botany Knowledge > Sloppy Butcher
Botany Knowledge can help the team.
So only 1 survivor must equip it.
But its better than Sloppy Butcher.
Is this fair?
-
Or make other killers viable,too?
This would be the smartest idea.
-
Bodyblocking is bannable if you cant lose or win the game.
-
@Frozenscum said:
When you start to check numbers you need to do it properly.
Brutal Strength makes you destroy pallet 0.6 seconds faster. Running Survivor will make 2,4 meters less distance during those 0,6 seconds, which is 2,4/(4,6-4,0) = 4 seconds of chase. Which overall gives you 4,6 seconds cut from chase for 115% speed Killer. Which is 4,6x4,0 = 18,4 meters less available distance for survivor to reach next loop. Now, do those numbers look better than 0,6 seconds? Same with Fire Up, and imagine them combined.
Bamboozle shuts down window for 16 seconds on top of faster vault, which means survivor either forced to drop safe pallet at once (killer shack for example) or run away to another loop, which in most cases ends in free hit midway. I caught ppl at Temple window not even once when they tried to loop it with balanced, just helplessly knocking their heads into blocked window cause they didnt hear sound after they made some distance on landing.
Deerstalker has 36 meters radius which is totally enough to find slugged person, their movement in slug 0.7 m\s, which takes almost minute to crowl out of Deerstalker radius from the spot they were slugged. And it takes like 10 seconds to run in a bigger circle around place you slugged them to find slug.
Also you have Knock Out to deny aura reading of slugged person.
You maybe be right.
But compare killer perks with survivors perks.
1 Sprintboost = ? * Brutal Strength
Im not good in math, but the numbers for killer perks are rly low for a 1 vs 4 game.
Keep in mind, Killers should be the powerrole.

-
I do some math for you.
Endgame collapse timer start after opening 1 gate.
Endgame collapse timer : 2~4 min
RBT timer: 2,5 min
Bloodwarden: 1 min
If the pig catch you after 1 min in the endgame, then the RBT will kill you before the entity can do it in the endgame.
Same thing with Blood Warden.
So the pig must catch in the endgame and the EGC timer must be end in 1 min.
Then you can still find the right key and escape.
But with ~50% you can die, too.
So the pig change is not logical, because the survivors should be punish,
if they stay too long in the endgame and get caught vs a endgame killer.
This "logical" pig changes destroy 1 playstyle and make all RBT in the endgame useless.
This is why I called your discusion bait.
Because this "logical" change is nerf for a low-mid tier killer.
And it force player for 1 basic playstyle, because they destroyed the endgame pig playstyle.
This is not good.
Conclusion:
If this "logical" change get life,
then enjoy nurse in every rank.
Because nerfing non-viable killers is just dumb.

PS: Wie findest du meine Pig Idee eigentlich?
Ich finde nämlich, dass das Schwein keine guten Addons hat,
vielleicht 1 oder 2.
Und ich habe eigentlich nur versucht die Pig Addons zu verbessern,
