Perk Numbers

Autodidact: 5*15%-25%=50%(This perk would be OP, if survivor use this and not selfcare)

Clownphobia: 50 % in the terror radius

So they have the same numbers in the end.

But why is Autodidact better.

16 seconds heal time + Clownphobia = 24 seconds.

But you can just go out of the terror radius.

Autodidact give you 50% from your heal bar by every skillcheck.

If you have 5 tokens.

This are rly strong numbers.

But all survivors use selfcare.

This is the only reason, why this perk is useless.

Because survivors run away, if you want heal them.

Bond: 36m

Empathy: 128m (This is just a rly big number)

Deerstalker: 36 m

This is a big difference.

The killer perk numbers are so little.

Survivors just get the complete map.

DbD is a 4 vs 1 game.

With this information sloppy butcher should have 4*33%=132%.

But this would be insane.

But again, the killer numbers are so little.

But hey, every survivor runs selfcare and waste so much time with it.

I rly dont get it, why survivors run selfcare in a 1 vs 4 game.

Distortion: 10 seconds while the Perk is activated, your Aura and Scratch Marks will not be shown to the Killer

Scratch Marks,too?

I didnt know that.

Iron Will: 100 %

Stridor: 50 %

In a 4 vs 1 game is this stupid.

We'll Make It: 100 % speed increase to healing up others for 30/60/90 seconds

Make Your Choice: 60 seconds

Why 90 seconds?

I dont understand the reason.

Make your choice should be 90 seconds, too.

And We'll Make It should only be for the person from the hook.

Bamboozle: 15%faster

Brutal Strength: 20 % faster

Fire Up: 20% at 5 Gens

This perks give you ~0,6 seconds for breaking pallets.

And Bamboozle give you ~0,3 seconds for vaults.

Why should I use this perks?

Barbecue & Chilli: 25 % stackable bonus to all Bloodpoint gains up to a maximum of 50/75/100 %

This numbers are good.

And I use this perk only for the bloodpoint effect.

Blood Warden: 60 seconds

Corrupt Intervention: 3/7 gens for 120 seconds

Thanatophobia: 16%

Dark Devotion: 20 seconds - hit slow = ~18 seconds

This perks could be so cool, if they would have better numbers.

This numbers are very low.

You could delete this numbers and nobody would care.

35% would be good.

I like this numbers.

But the design from Distressing is a little bit boring.

A token system would be nice.

  • "This is a big difference.

Complete map only if someone is injured, in which case you only know that how far the killer is. Bond in most cases is much better.

"I rly dont get it, why survivors run selfcare in a 1 vs 4 game."

Better time efficiency, with 50% healing speed its like someone was healing you, you need 2x more time but only one person, but you don't have to look for a healer.

"In a 4 vs 1 game is this stupid."

No, stridor is a game wide perk, while iron will is a personal perk.

"This perks give you ~0,6 seconds for breaking pallets.

    Ending chases quicker.

All perks here, but thanatophobia, are good. The only problem with dark intervention is that, you better of using ruin instead.

"You could delete this numbers and nobody would care.

    35% would be good."

Yes, nobody would care, you know why? Its because the main task of this perk is disarming survivors and this 10% is just a cherry on top... while 35% would be OP.

    I see DbD as a 4 vs 1 game.

So for me it would be logical, that the person alone have stronger perks.

Yes he can use it on all person, but survivors could do it,too.

PS: Corrupt Intervention is the gen blocking perk.

And dark intervention has just trash numbers.

Its a rly interesting perk, but with this numbers its just useless.

  • The thing is... he has not stronger perks... but different perks, which makes them hard to compare.

Corrupt intervention, yes, its gen blocking perk... which often is a good perk, but when used with ruin it forces survivors to travel to different gens, so they have a higher chance to find a ruin.

Dark intervention is a good perk when used on killers who have easy first hit and overall its good when you want to mindgame to end chases quickly.

  • Autodidact & Clo...phobia

Yes. But one requires skillchecks and the other requires to be in terror radius. As you said everyone uses SC anyway. (and i had multiple times a 16 second heal without any skillchecks btw)

    Bond & Empathy & Deerstalker

So Bond gives you vision of ANY survivor that is healthy, injured or downed but has lowish range. Empathy gives you info only if someone is injured or downed. Makes sense that it has some better range. And Deerstalker gives you info about downed survivors in the range of Bond. Okay? Deerstalker could use a buff so it's not a beginner perk but it does it's job - if you have to leave someone, you will find them.

    Botany & Sloppy

Now this is an interesting match. Yes Botany gives you 13% more healing. So you will heal that someone faster. But you forgot about Hemoraghe (or whatever it's called) giving you better tracking!

    Distortion

3 stacks baby. It can go in seconds if you have aura reading add-on or it won't get used at all or you'll get lucky and have a change to use it well.

    Iron Will & Stridor

"50 % louder and regular breathing is 25 % louder."

    Just so y'know.

    We'll Make It & MYC

Most of the time you won't be able to use the 90 seconds of 100% faster healing but whatever let's ignore that. And MYC is mostly to use on faster killers so you can find the guy who unhooked. (nurse, billy, hag)

    Bamboozle etc.

Bamboozle literally destroys loops but okay. Yeah Brutal sucks not gonna joke at this. And Fire Up after buff is pretty nice not best tho (although that 4%,8% can screw up flashlight saves ;) )

    Blood Warden etc.

BW is gonna be pretty good with EGC. Corrupt Intervention does it job - 2 minutes of survivor not doing those far away gens. (maybe it could be buffed to 2:30 idk). Thana got nerfed because Legion and Plague exists. Dark Devotion... just sucks. It should be buffed.

    Franklin's Demise

? It's not the point of this perk. If you want to destroy the item use Overhelming lol. This is to make survivor lose the item, lose some charges (potentially destroying the item if the used it too much) and have them go pick them up (wasting their time potentially)

Distressing & Save The Best For Last

... Okay? Good for you? I would like Distressing to be static numbers (as M&A)

  • When you start to check numbers you need to do it properly.

Brutal Strength makes you destroy pallet 0.6 seconds faster. Running Survivor will make 2,4 meters less distance during those 0,6 seconds, which is 2,4/(4,6-4,0) = 4 seconds of chase. Which overall gives you 4,6 seconds cut from chase for 115% speed Killer. Which is 4,6x4,0 = 18,4 meters less available distance for survivor to reach next loop. Now, do those numbers look better than 0,6 seconds? Same with Fire Up, and imagine them combined.

Bamboozle shuts down window for 16 seconds on top of faster vault, which means survivor either forced to drop safe pallet at once (killer shack for example) or run away to another loop, which in most cases ends in free hit midway. I caught ppl at Temple window not even once when they tried to loop it with balanced, just helplessly knocking their heads into blocked window cause they didnt hear sound after they made some distance on landing.

Deerstalker has 36 meters radius which is totally enough to find slugged person, their movement in slug 0.7 m\s, which takes almost minute to crowl out of Deerstalker radius from the spot they were slugged. And it takes like 10 seconds to run in a bigger circle around place you slugged them to find slug.

Also you have Knock Out to deny aura reading of slugged person.

    You maybe be right.

But compare killer perks with survivors perks.

    1 Sprintboost = ? * Brutal Strength

Im not good in math, but the numbers for killer perks are rly low for a 1 vs 4 game.

Keep in mind, Killers should be the powerrole.

  • The issue here is that you're just looking at the numbers and not thinking about the implications. Sure the killer has only 4 perks whole the survivors have 16, but o feel the way you're comparing these, you should treat it like all 4 survivors go in with the same build. And 1 perk from a survivor is less impactful; sure, with iron will you're going to have a harder time finding that one survivor, but if you have 3 other survivors to chase that perk doesn't help the team as a whole all that much; it mostly impacts that one survivor you have trouble finding

So do you say 1 survivor perk should have the same strength like 1 killer perk,

because not every survivor equip this perk?

That would mean 1 killer with 4 perks must win against 4 survivors with 16 perks.

And 1 killer perk = 1 survivor perk.

    But ok.

    Then explain this:

    Botany Knowledge > Sloppy Butcher

Botany Knowledge can help the team.

So only 1 survivor must equip it.

But its better than Sloppy Butcher.

    Is this fair?

  • Your Botany Knowledge example again do not count that Sloppy will be applied to all survs Killer hits unconditionally, while you need at least 2 survs have Botany to heal them all with increased speed.

If only one will equip it, he can't heal himself and he need to take time to find injured and heal him, wasting time for travel and search. Tier 3 of Botany makes healing be done in 12 secs, while Sloppy increases to 19 secs approx, both effects combined - 14 seconds to heal. So basically, Botany gives you 4-5 seconds shave off, is it worth to abandon whatever you do and go find injured to get those seconds?

Sloppy apart from healing debuff increases bleeding frequency which helps with tracking, so its 2 effects in 1 perk.

I never use this "tracking thing", because I dont need it.

    And yes you are right.

The person with Botany Knowledge cant heal himself.

But the killer must search survivors, too.

And DbD is a 1 vs 4 game.

    Not a 1 vs 1 game.

So the killer need stronger perks.

  • "I never use this 'tracking thing'"? So, you're saying you don't see the benefit to the hemorrhage effect of Sloppy butcher? You still have to consider it exists.

The most direct killer vs Survivor example is Iron Grasp vs Boil Over; at level 3, both of them give a 75% change to wiggle speed, effectively negating eachother. However, Boil Over makes killers unable to see the closest hooks, while Irpn Grasp lets the killer travel further with the survivor; in this matchup Irom Grasp proves more useful.

With your botany knowledge vs Sloppy butcher comparison, remember that healing a survivor takes 2 people (or, with a perk, one person and twice as long). You might only see a 4-5 second increase, but you're having 2 survivors occupied for that. The survivors could choose instead to not heal, but if they thought botany knowledge then they wasted a perk slot. And again, survivors will lose time trying to find eachother for healing

Yeah, the killer must find survivors ,too.

    Otherwhise sloppy butcher dont work.

And I never use the tracking thing, because I dont lose survivors in a chase.

And Im just saying, for a 4 vs 1 game, many killer perks are weak.

Because the killer is alone and the surviors are a group.

So it would be logical, if the killer have stronger perks.

  • But all survivors use selfcare.

This is the only reason, why this perk is useless.

Because survivors run away, if you want heal them.

You get all kinds when playing solo. I've had people angle themselves so that I would go down instead of them getting hit. I've had people run away from me with We'll Make It even while the killer wasn't nearby. It's hard to rely on others.

You also have to realize that selfcare is a selfish perk while autodidact isn't. You're bringing in something to help the team, but not yourself. So if someone else doesn't have a healing perk or can't be asked to heal you, you're screwed unless you have something to heal yourself or perks/map knowledge to be able to work around being injured.

    This is a big difference.

The killer perk numbers are so little.

Survivors just get the complete map.

Empathy only activates while the other person is injured (which isn't really that useful tbh. You don't need to know the killer is chasing an injured person across the map and if they lost them, but still run around like a chicken with their head cut off, you could be mislead). Bond is good as you can see your team up close, so you know where people are working on gens, if they're going for saves, where they are if you need a heal, etc. Deerstalker is meant to be used to find the slugs. You're seeing the opposition, so this isn't an apples to apples comparison at all.

With this information sloppy butcher should have 4*33%=132%.

    But this would be insane.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there a no heal meta thanks to sloppy butcher?

I rly dont get it, why survivors run selfcare in a 1 vs 4 game.

Probably because it's only a 1 vs 4 in theory. Your team can be the biggest killers on the map. Even in SWF.

    Iron Will: 100 %

    Stridor: 50 %

In a 4 vs 1 game is this stupid.

Even when it says 100%, you do still make some noise. I've heard people say they use stridor to counter iron will.

    Franklin's Demise: 10 %

You could delete this numbers and nobody would care.

    35% would be good.

You're making survivors waste time picking up items and give the possibility of deleting an item someone is trying to save or denying their wards.

  • @fluffybunny

Even when it says 100%, you do still make some noise. I've heard people say they use stridor to counter iron will.

That's because Iron will and Stridor are additive; 100% base - 100% iron will + 50% stridor.

    Sloppy Butcher was 25%.

Then the healing time increase and sloppy butcher got nerf(25%-20%).

Sloppy Butcher is the same like before, but they increase the basic heal time.

Killer tried out the heal perks.

That was the no heal meta.

Yes selfcare is a selfish perk and you should get a reward if you dont use it.

Im just saying that many survivors perks are better than killer perks,

    because the numbers.

And DbD is a 1 vs 4 game.

So the killer should have stronger perks.
