Did you participate in the PTB?

TR can only be heard for awake Survivors, meaning it only has an effect on them if they're awake
Lullaby and TR should be the other way around, not only would it be stronger but it'd make more sense thematically
-
Because imagine a SWF going into a game, seeing theyre going against a killer who is actually a sentient being, and they surrender after 2 minutes
It would 100% be abused

Do you have some video of your killer gameplay that you could share? I'm naturally skeptical when people on this forum claim that they "win all the time" as killer. People come on this forum and claim this all the time, yet not one of them has ever backed it up with video of their gameplay. I'm not trying to flame you - hope you can understand why I'm skeptical. If you're really winning all the time, even after getting into the high MMR range, then you would be among one of the best players in the world.
A win for me is a fun game
I win a lot

In fact, Brutal Strength should be (mini buff) look at this post where I posted a gif of the differences between using it and the default
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/435995/killers-chase-useless-perks
Ive already seen the post and even commented multiple times, and my point still stands.
These perks are just fine and do not need changing. Fire Up in its PTB itteration actually felt very nice to use and will be just fine on live.

Survis can make 3GEN at the same time, that perk should start with 1 token...
6% — 12/18/24/30/36%That means that with 2 gen pops and you already have Brutal Strength in addition to all the other bonuses the perk provides
The perk will be just fine and actually worth picking up with this buff.

I don't know why you'd point to Trickster as evidence here, he's always been an excellent fit tonally, he's one of the killers I think BHVR did the best job with when it comes to justifying his presence in the game.
A better example would be Vecna, someone who is not from a horror franchise who was adapted to fit the game anyway. He's good evidence that BHVR can do this, though I don't know how far they can take that the further away you get from horror.
As for Vader specifically… I think DBD has a strained relationship to sci fi stuff like that. Alien and the Singularity are in the game, but it's clear they're approaching sci fi from a very different angle to something like Star Wars. I'm not sure if it'd fit, personally.
This.
The bright and colorful lights are only what is shown on the outside, but in reality there is so much more.

Please don't white knight cheaters, they don't deserve it. I'm not blind nor am i vain enough to not admit when i lost legitly so i'd appreciate it if you'd not treat me like butthurt kid who got owned by a skilled group of survivors and went whining to the forums about it.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3868715#Comment_3868715
Well maybe I just have the unfortunate luck to run into them more often then. Regardless at least 1 or more matches I play as survivor or killer involve at least one cheater.
I aint white knighting cheaters, all Im sayin is cheaters arent as common as you think they are.
Idk where the rest came from

@notacamper said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3868686#Comment_3868686
You most likely have and have not realized it, subtle cheaters are NOT stupid, they make sure their cheats are subtle enough to make even the most perceptive of players not suspect foul play at work. You have to pay VERY CLOSE attention. Is that survivor running just a little too fast without any perks to let them do so? DON'T ASSUME they are just corning that loop really well, PAY ATTENTION! In a general chase assuming your pathing is on par, you can get at least one hit on a survivor average in about 10 seconds or less unless they are in a jungle gym. Are they somehow keeping distance from you even in bloodlust 1?
Did they somehow vanish without a trace when you're 110% sure you there was no way they could evade you in a loop or jungle gym? NEVER ASSUME "Oh, I must have just lost them."
You do this and you'll begin to notice cheaters ALOT more often. Only reason I notice half the time is because I'm constantly looking for suspicious behavior from survivors because I trust them not to abuse mechanics or not to cheat as far as I can throw them on a killer whose NOT Wesker.:P
Blaming cheats because some one else is playing well or because you made a misplay aint doing you any favors. I know Aven has been around for a while and Im confident they are more than capable at sniffing out a cheater if theyre trying to be subtle
Can say the same thing for myself. Seen all kinds of cheats since Ive started playing in 2017 and racked up well over 6k hours. Theres no doubt they exist, but they arent nearly as prominent as some claim

Gameplay wise he's actually pretty fun, but I still dont feel like Im playing Freddy Krueger.
Id keep the current kit, but with a few changes:
-Survivors cannot see Freddy and cannot be harmed while awake.
-A Survivor hit by a Dream Snare while awake will have their sleep timer increased by 30 seconds.
-Sending a Dream Snare at a window will block it for 8 seconds.
-Dream Pallets cannot be seen while awake and look exactly like normal pallets, but can still stun him.
-Freddy gets Killer Instinct on an asleep Survivor whenever they do an action.
-Freddy can Project to any Survivor revealed by Killer Instinct
-Invert Lullaby and TR (for better synergy with TR perks)
"Welcome to my world... b-word..." -Freddy Krueger

Original Deep Wounds was 30 seconds and only paused during chase. It would still go down while Mending, but you wouldnt go down unless you let go
Then it was based off the Terror Radius, then finally what we have today.

If by "regular" you mean "against awful survivors", than maybe yes.
Whole event I play with meme/chase builds on different killers and it's just absurd how onesided game against even very mediocre survivors, if you don't bring at least two slowdowns.
I played Blight match with Enduring, BBQ, Fire Up and Brutal, almost every chase was under 40 seconds, you know how fast this game ended? 7 minutes and all gens are done, I had 5 hooks and 2 in endgame, average number of hooks, when I don't bring slowdowns.
Literally the same on Clown with Rapid, Blood Favour, Undying and Thrill. Fast chases, 5 hooks before last gen poped, gg ez.https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3865579#Comment_3865579
So yeah, when you take regression away, it's definately about skill, sadly only on killer side, because on survivors it becomes literally baby mode, while killer should play on his max performance to achieve at least something.
I really tired to read this "oh but average matches" bullshit, which only works for killers, but you surely never read on this "killer heavy" forum that you should win not less than 80% of your matches in good SWF, for example. Or that you are going against god tier Blight/Nurse/Spirit/Singularity not more often, than against really good survivors. It's different, for sure.Saying you had 40 second chases tells me literally nothing. Theres more to a match than just chases.
Calling it "baby mode" for survivors and saying that the killer has to basically be flawless is just false, since the same can be said for survivors if they dont run meta either, or theyre Solo Q, which is the majority of people you run into (stats back this up, even if youre supposedly in "high mmr")
also no idea what youre on about in that last paragraph. But pop off, king

1 good (meta) perk can cost a game as well as 1 good play or mistake. If a player wants to do more 4ks - they would run pop + pain rez + dead lock (or whatever) + meta info perk, instead of Brutal Strength + Iron grasp\Agy + Rapid Brutality (or whatever other chase perk), right?
It's called "Meta" for a reason. As well as using a higher tier killer.
You can't win at higher MMR with 0 perks, even if you've been playing (let's say) Wraith for 7k hours. But with the right perks - you can. Your skill doesn't matter as much, because without help (perks) you will not be able to do even 2k (what we're aiming for probably).
That just means that perks are indeed a necessity, if your goal is to have more 3-4k matches in general.
Just to mention: I'm not saying that your skill is nothing, I'm just trying to say that meta perks and RNG makes nearly the same amount of "success" in your matches, which is a problem to me, because I want the game to be more skill-based.
My goal as a killer is simple - I want at least 2k with a fun chases and using non-meta perks\killers. I can't get that based on the lvl (or hours) of survivors that I'm facing. I'm stuck at using pop + pain rez + no where to hide in order to not get T-bagged at the gates with 4m out with the length of the match of 4-5m.
"High MMR" is just another factor of how much RNG there is in this game, and no one is getting comp squads every game. It may seem like it when you're on the ropes or are given a challenge, but 90% of the time that is due to mistakes you made yourself that makes the game harder since at times it may be really difficult to recover from.
Also looking back I didnt mean that perks arent necessary, (al though I guess to an extent they arent) rather gen regression isnt. Ive been playing for several years now with perk builds that I feel comfortable with that may have 1 or 2 regression perks that fit my particular playstyle with that killer. I do get Survivors with thousands of hours quite frequently, but very few of them are these godlike comp squads, and even then I play Trapper, Trickster and Dredge most of the time and still feel confident going against these guys despite only have 1 or 2 slowdowns. And if I lose, oh well, you cant win them all.
I can also guarantee you the reason why your having such a difficult time is because of how much you rely on regression. Consistency is what they provide but sometimes that isnt always a good thing if you dont make the best of them. Pop, Grim Embrance or Pain Res may be strong regresssion perks but if youre not getting any hooks you arent benefitting from them in the slightest and you might as well be perkless. Over inflating your MMR and going against Survivors that are simply better.
If you think Im bullshitting this whole thing, I have well over 6k hours, been playing since 2017, and Ive posted gameplay already in the past. And I dont mind doing it again.

@Grigerbest said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3865579#Comment_3865579
Nope. Highly disagree. :)
I think the game is more RNG, killer and perk-based more than anything.
I lost count on how many times I was losing gens due to absence of pain rez in my builds. How many times I lost a survivor in a chase because of lucky-break+Iron Will. How much time I lost searching for survivor, hiding near-by a gen (absence of Nowhere to Hide), chained tiles (rng), auto-pilot survivors with WoO (they don't even look behind) and I can go on, and on, and on. Like, no, there are a lot of things in this game that has nothing to do with the skill, but with perks and RNG.
The mere fact that we've got tiers with killers and perks is enough to prove your message wrong. You can play as badly as possible thought out the match - and by the end you can get 4k just because of Noed or some unexpected devour.
RNG does play a pretty big factor yes, but to completely disregard the skill of a player is just stupid.
Also saying you've lost count how many times you've lost because you didn't have X perk is true for literally EVERY perk. "If I had No Way Out, they wouldn't of opened that gate". Man if I had Blood Warden I'd be cookin. "If I had Bambam I would of shut down this loop so much earlier" and I could go on with literally every single perk. What gen perks provide and the reason they're so effective is because they partially eliminate some RNG with consistency, and its easy to lean on that. There's no shame in wanting easier games, it's what perks are for, but to call them and absolute necessity is false

@Jtflorencio said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3865570#Comment_3865570
Very wrong, the advantages that provide a high percentage of success in harming a survivor are very easy to dodge in most loops, which is why no one uses them.. and we are always seeing 4 anti-gen perks
You see 4 gen perks because its the easy way out, simple as that.
No one goes against godlike Survivors every game
-
@Grigerbest said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3865570#Comment_3865570
I think OP meant that: "These perks should be as good as gen regression to be more desirable for killers".
On certain killers (even most of them) I would prefer gen regression over these, ngl.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3865569#Comment_3865569
Yeah, lowering your MMR helps. :D
But it should not be a thing. The game needs to be more skill-based, over "Meta-based".
Game is a lot more skill based than you think it is once you take away gen regression. In regular public matches you really don't need to 4 stack gen perks.
-
Bambam does NOT need any changes, it's just fine the way it is.
In fact basically all these perks are just fine except for Fire Up, and maybe Dark Arrogance could be a little less punishing when stunned, but even then I'd say its just fine
-
@Grigerbest said:
There are so many fun builds, killers and fun perks to use in this game, but it all goes to the waste because of the gen speed.
The higher you go with your MMR - the more you realize that gen regression perks are the best.
I'm tired using them on my killer matches.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/OYM0OJFG5X8P/1.gif

I always wanted Twins to be more like they are in their teaser trailer, but that probably ain't gonna happen. So instead I'm gonna type up a hope and a dream.
Upon pouncing onto a healthy Survivor, Victor would begin scratching them and apply the Incapacitated status effect. If not removed in time Victor will pin them to the ground.
When pinned, the Survivor is met with occasional skill checks to shake him off. Once he's removed the Survivor is affected by Deep Wounds. If not removed in time, the Survivor is put into the Dying State and is brought back to Charlotte. Any time a Survivor is pinned by Victor, Charlotte gains 10% Haste for as long as that Survivor is pinned.
(The following is not necessarily from the trailer, but I think it'd be neat)
New ability: A 2nd Pair of Eyes
While Victor is binded to Charlotte, any Survivor within direct line of sight will be revealed by Killer Instinct for a moment.
Not much thought put into this other than trying to fix the slugging problem, as well as the hostage problem.

I guess someone didn't wipe out the entire Elite 4 with just their starter Pokemon back in the OG Game Boy days…
Anyway, we all know the correct game to play instead of DBD is Civilization.
As some one who also plays Civ, the only reason why that game is balanced is because of heavy RNG, and the fact that most civs are just broken. Because if everything is overpowered... nothing is overpowered!
(that being said I do love Civ and Pokémon as well <3)
