Lowest ive seen was them going to my steam profile to report anything they could find and leave "clown" awards. With which a funny name i had for 13 years that everyone i've played with compliments me on, was then banned. Had me trying out annonymous mode for once. And understanding why its often used.
I went back to the same name again, been a few months no problems, but everytime another player in dbd starts getting mad at me about something, i end up changing my name to something else for a day or so just in case. Ive even been told they reported my name etc, even tho i didnt tunnel or camp or grief or slug the team or anything. Just playing the killer by the rulebook and they still attack. Then the very next round people laughing at the name again.
-
Just out of curiosity, do you play survivor exclusively? Not trying to bring up an us vs them thing. I play both quite often.
Theres like 4 seperate groups of players in dbd.
- Killer mains (wont play survivor, they just don't like it)
- Killer/survivor mains (play both sides equally and understand what both sides go through)
- Solo/duo survivor mains ( used to just random groups with no tactics or strategies, just trying to survive)
- Survive with friends survivor mains (full team swfs of either bully squads / swat teams / casuals. Exploit every mechanic given to survivor side and usualy use discord for tactics and strategies)
Depending on which of the groups you are from, your viewpoint on everything in the game changes. For example if you play solo que survivor only, than you will likely see killers as this nearly impossible to beat force that exploits teamwork requirements of needing help to get back up / get off hooks etc. Which in solo que is the case. But if youve played killer enough to see the swf teams, you'd understand that even the killer players can be made helpless at times.
Like that blight winstreak that just ended almost 2000, there are similar survivor winstreaks as well.
If you give 1 advantage to solo que survivors who are infact suffering, then the swf teams find ways to abuse that new advantage and weaponise it - every time. The same can be said for trying to buff weaker killers with new strong perks only for the higher tier killers to abuse them.
So its not as simple as just "buff this side it needs help"
-
There was a bug at some point where it was unlinked. So it does technically work if seperated
-
Its always been more about how you feel like playing. If you wanna play "honorably" by the rulebook, then go ahead. If you don't, theres not even such a thing as reporting for slugging the whole team or tunneling or camping ppl to death.
The way ive started to see it (even tho i still do the rulebook thing) is that the survivors objectives are emotionless generators. Your objective is emotional survivors. Youd show them courtesy by not tunneling your objective, going after the unhooker instead. But that same survivor shows you no courtesy by going straight back to the generator thats almost done, tunneling their objective.
So the whole courtesy is literaly 1 sided throwing in the name of "honour"

They never said "we will never add _____ because its too complicated or not fun" they just said thats why they are taking longer to add than others. Legion was a tested example of how it will never be fun for both sides. Tested and proven to be a problem for 2v8. They havent tested any others out that would be "not fun" yet, and the combos that do exist like oni, are being tweaked and nerfed on the go. So i am not expecting them to go " we arent adding _____ because its too complicated or not fun" until they test it in 2v8 and the community doesnt like it.
-
I somehow naturally got much better against weskers being a Rebecca main since her launch lol. There were so many tunnely weskers that i got used to "locking in" against them.
Have to treat him like an m1 killer until he pulls the tentacle out. Then you treat him like a blight that cant curve to hit.
Its also noticeable that he has a rather big lunge attack as thats how he usually gets u when he cant hit with the dashes, so sometimes its better to run through pallets you likely can drop, but the difference would be the pallets dropping and you getting hit anyway, and you running through the pallet for him to swing and miss. Of course it doesnt work every time as its very "rng" as to where hes standing, where you are, when he starts the attack, how close the pallet is n all that.
But yea the main 2 points is to adapt to 2 forms of killer like u would with dracula. M1 form, and blight form. Thats about as easily as i can explain it lol
As for the window vault faking thats just unlucky as they would get sucked into the window if they dashed right at it, so its more about listening if hes ready to fly at the window or not
-
Ive brought stuff like no mither and invocation trecherous crows, havent seen anyone throw in those rounds or sandbag me for it. Its nothing new really. Infact ive never had a meta build on before. The teammates that will throw or sandbag will only be hurting themselves in the long run.
-
Kinda looking forword to demogorgon. Hes always been an interesting character that i felt too weak using, like i cant even pull off that instant pounce thing most of his current players do.
And unknown i got into at one point started to enjoy it, got pretty good with the aim, and then hit that mmr where you just get into a mosh pit and you can't just play the same way for fun anymore. Then he felt too easy to counter.

The last time they buffed a low tier they gave skull merchant a couple small buffs with a compensatory nerf after pushing back the rework they've promised after gutting her to intentionally be worse than trapper for a year because they were scared of upping the dc penalty. My hopes are slim.
Any yea i was enjoying skull merchant till the berf, i hate the new stealth activation lol.
The dredge is another one i often feel helpless on. Id of probably mained him at one point if i didn't feel so miserable using them most of the time lol so buffs will be interesting to see.
-
Well now i know never to farm again. Even if someone throws. Don't want to get banned for it afterall.
-
Ive had to farm allot as killer in this event. But not because id just start the round and be friendly. Theres so many people just throwing the match at the first down, they will dc, they will stand at the hook, they will follow the killer around waving at them. At which point its not fair to the other 3 players that this one tried to ruin the round for everyone and itd just be a 3v1 for the rest of it. So i kill the one throwing, farm points with the other 3 not intending to kill any of them, just 2 hooks on each and kicking blood gens when i can. Im not exadurating when i say 60% of my matches in this event have atleast 1 person immediately throwing. So its been a lot of farming so that its not just some 3v1 stomp fest every time. To get reported for not just going "well screw them i wanna win" is a bit harsh.
As for what killers i was playing it didnt matter, i was on deathslinger/springtrap/ghoul/krasue/the first/houndmaster/trapper/trickster/xeno

I was a big fan of Rize in the anime, watched it in japanese at the time cuz the dub wasnt out or something, got used to her voice. The dub actress i recognize from several animes as she has a higher pitch voice and a lower pitch voice for different roles like Mina Tepesh from A dance in the vampire bund (higher pitch) and Homura from Senran Kagura (lower pitch). For some reason she did not seem to fit Rize however, compared to the japanese. And im not against dub or anything i prefered one piece in dub. Maybe its just me cuz i heard her in several other roles lol.
Still waiting for a Rize badge tho. If they do make legendaries customisable id guess they could give her the black dress she wears when showing up as an illusion in his mind. Didnt know there was a live action till today lol
Also the current kaneki they added to dbd stemmed from a very specific point in the show/manga - after his hair changed. Not sure if he wouldve been insane enough to kill when his hair was black, but since i didnt see the live action, does he get to that point before his hair changes?
-
I still have it
-
For hits with victor he has an addon to show the target pounce area, and most people using him try to get right up against the person before pouncing so that its nearly impossible to avoid (similar with hillbilly).
And twins excell at slugging, their main counter is healing.so bringing stuff that keeps people injured longer can help in getting multiple downs before going to pickup the bodies. I dont mean slug the whole team but you can some times get a 2 for 1 deal.
-
Funny thing i just tried trickster for a few rounds before the update was even announced and didnt seem to have any trouble catching up to people, bloody boa seemed to keep the laceration from decaying in chase before downs and the throw speed addon felt a bit too strong as you could mow through 2 health states in 1.5 seconds lol. Now alllll of that got buffed some even by 50%, except nerfs to the throw speed addons. Im sure he will feel even better now.
-
Every second round as killer i get someone throwing at the start. Doesnt matter what killer you play either. Like out of about 30 rounds ive played of this event on killer, about 14 of them someone was throwing so i kill them or their bots and farm with the rest. And i even had a round as trapper against 4 flashlights, thought theyd be a bully squad or something, they got obliterated with no gens done, werent even busy trying for saves just lasted 2 seconds in chase lol so they must not have been the same mmr level.

A moment of silence for the 7968 people who had to suffer through all that…

Well I admit that I use a crossair so I don't really pay any mind to the sight of deathslinger xD
Also huntress needs an increadible amount of musclememory, it feels like I forget how to aim with her after just a few days of not playing her. I need around 1-2 hours of games then to come back in. Also springtrap kills every skill I have with her, that's why I play him even less than I'd normally do xD
Ive been wondering how to deal with survivors when they reach those small boulder loops with the 1 pallet between them lol its like she gets disarmed while near those since it takes too long to pull the hatchet out even for a quick toss.
-
Havent seen it much on survivor myself, but on killer every 2nd round yea lol. Started playing allot of Henry(the first) and i either get people happy to see him or instant disconnects or people just standing there at a hook etc.
But it also doesnt seem to matter what killer is used in this event as even on springtrap i chased and hit a few people than the third ran to shack, hit me with the shack pallet, did a bit of t bagging only to get taken out with the axe before he could make it to the back door, disconnects immediately lol. The very next round another guy just following me around so i slugged him and his team mates just left him there so i put him on the hook. Mustve had an arguement with them in the pregame lobby or they could see what he was doing.
In all of these situations^ i just kill the sandbagger and 2 hook everyone else and farm for points.
But yea, not much on survivor, lots of it on killer.

Generally I find huntress the easiest to aim and hit, additionally I'd say that trickster is also pretty good to aim and hit with now that I play him more :D
Nice. I feel i used to be good with huntress but now can't seem to hit someone to save my life lol like my hand will literaly just jerk to the side for some reason. But with deathslinger i find his speed of pulling up the gun, and firing whenever without having to charge for projectile speed, work really well at most loops. And depending on what gun cosmetic im using my aim goes from 100-20% lol. The latest bloodmoon skin's gun has a realllly good iron sight on it.
-
Curious as to what they mean by STORE collection. Like are they adding old banners / badges as a new store page?
-
Full team survive with friends. Limmiting how many can que together would prevent bully squads and swat teams. While custom matches can still be used for tournament purposes. Atleast thats my hot take as someone playing both sides.

Hmmm aren't we supposed to get a rift before 10th anniversary?
Picture shows the next rift is in April. And in game u can see how many days are left. Likely starts the day the current one ends.
-
I recall some saying they wouldve prefered if the tuft of hair addon was the basekit and the dash mode was a bigger addon. So that he atleast feels a little closer to what he used to be.
-
Another thing to add about the birds. They could also be using a perk called Spies from the shadows. If a bird goes off within a certain range of the killer, they get a loud noise notification, at where the bird took off. I use it with Henry and have even had the birds straight up tell me someone was in a locker behind me, so i checked it. Probably the only perk that avoids aura reading and stuff but still tells you where to look.
In short if they have no aura reading, and no spies from the shadows, and still go straight at your hiding spot with elusive in effect, without even looking around= cheats.
-
Maybe it could effect skill check frequency with a chance of larger "great skill check" zones

I wish the existing report system had an impact for situations like these.
We have the tools to report players for their behavior, but it is only used to ban cheaters.I wish my profile showed me the feedback I've collected from other players.
Maybe it would change user's behavior if there was a BP incentive to have X% positive feedback over Y day ranges.
Yea but something that can punish people based on word alone is a double edged sword. If u mean players including killer, nearly every survivor is going to report the killer if they even feel they were tunneled. Theyl even report them for what killer they used. And survivors arent safe from the reverse either. T bag at gates? Report that one, that one, and that one. Flashlight saved? Report. Missed a skill check? Report. Funny name but the other person is offended easily - report.
Theres a reason even the hacker reporting mostly requires video proof these days. And every other report barely works unless someone is sandbagging people in every round and reported for unsportsmanlike. We would tear eachother up without a reason if given the ability to.

Also last question my friend I just got some Auric Cells and have a few killers in mind which one would you pick if you were me Vecna, Ghoul, Dark Lord or Xenomorph just choose one no need to explain me i'm really excited 😭 and love these 4 killers
I guess id say ghoul if u want the easy route, or dracula if u want a bit of wesker, a bit of nemisis, and a piece of spirit, which combined with precision aim can be adaptable to any situation. ( i actually main 3 of those killers lol)

Damn, you really understand what I’m facing as a killer because this is exactly what’s been happening thanks for the help I’ll try what you suggested also could you recommend which is the best killer i can only get 1 or 2 killer since i don't have much auric cells so i'm confused which one should i get i was about to buy wesker but he got nerfed recently.
So ill start listing killers and a general description. Starting with what doesnt come with the base game.
- The Cannibal (Bubba/Leatherface) has no mobility but he is the ultimate pallet shredder. Uses the chainsaw for 1 hit downs and can maintain a long easily controlled sweeping attack, which knocks survivors down if touched, can be used to mow down multipl survivors. So they commonly always drop pallets because they would go down if they didnt. Still kinda tough to use against strong loopers but deadly if anyone is caught out of a good position.
- The nightmare (Freddy) recently got a rework that makes him a bit more complicated to play since he has 3 abilities. Teleporting to generators, useful for crossing the map, scaring people off generators, or even faking that you are teleporting so they start running only to run into you who was on the way. He can plant fake pallets which are now too obvious so they are more used as detonateable blood bombs. Also has a ground based projectile that shoots through walls but only slows the target down.
- The pig, stealth based killer with a rather strong incentive to stay off generators and keep people busy. Has a long dashing strike from her stealth mode, which can be used around some loops. Places traps on downed survivors (which they spend time trying to remove by running around the map) and people avoid finnishing generators because it sets the timers on the traps, which can kill if the time runs out. And while active it prevents them from going out the doors or they just die.
- The Spirit. Very "sound based" killer as your power renders you invisible, very fast, and blind in a way that you cannot see the survivor while using the power, but can easily hear them and see their scratch marks. The biggest "mind gamer" of the list as the survivors cant see you and have to completely guess where you are going to pop out from and instantly attack. She suffers from map pressure like clown, but gets fast downs and has some mobility at the cost of putting her ability on cooldown.
- The legion. Excels against groups that don't spread out, keeps most people injured and often has to chase the injured survivors as a powerless killer like clown without bottles. If you manage to hit all 4 people in an area with your power, the 5th hit is an instant down, but most focus too much on trying to get that rather than just keeping people injured and using basic mindgaming. Somewhat stressfull killer to use due to ease of looping without a power after they are injured. But people enjoy using them anyway once they figure out decent anti pallet builds and stuff.
- The Plague. Similar to legion she excells at keeping everyone injured, and stays powerless to chase people with 1 health state. Unless you find the 1 red fountain as they always give u atleast 1, then you are running around with a ranged attack much like a flame thrower against people with 1 healthstate. So they might start cleansing in the fountains and give you more flamethrowers lol. The steady stream projectile can sometimes be rather difficult to hit someone in a tight walled loop. So it either becomes 1 of 2 games of either no power all game against 1 shots, or flamethrower.
- Ghostface. Another stealth based killer, typically always has no power in a chase and relies heavily on mind gaming, and ambushing people. His stealth can be easily broken and sometimes youll get that bothersome survivor who you can't catch, following you around to make sure you can't stealth. But aside from that hes good at creeping up on people, marking them to get exposed status, and then closing in for the down. You can also mark them to 99% and then get as close as possible to finnish the mark for an easy 1 hit down, or leave them 99% for later in a chase.
- Demogorgon. Pallet shredder, that can catch people whenever they are stuck running in a straight line. Places their own portals manually, and has to use them manualy to teleport between them. They can also be used as a detection device, by placing them next to generators/totems, when holding your dash power you will see anyone near one of your open portals. Which can alert you to place a new one and teleport over to them. Not one of the strongest killers out there but is probably around the same level as clown as far as lethality.
- The Oni. Starts off as a powerless killer which is his main weakness (avoiding the first hit). But the first person to get hit will start a chain reaction of your power being fed, its usualy not hard tonget started. Benefits from perks that keep people injured, and tells him where people are. Once he eats enough blood orbs that the injured survivors start dropping everywhere, he can go into an engraged mode where he becomes an instant down missile zooming around the map. Can down multiple people with 1 attack, and use either m2 to zoom around and strike, or hold m1 when in a tight loop to charge a slam which will do the same as the m2 just easier to control. Can also break pallets with the slam. He is momentum based and feels rather balanced, the match usually feels in your favor if theres enough blood orbs around.
- Deathslinger. A more technical type of ranged killer that can do some special things others can't. Like shooting someone that just got unhooked, holding them in place long enough for their unhook endurance to run out, then knocking them back down. Or pulling people down from higher elevations like a balcony. He also getd to "aim" his shots by looking down the barrell before shooting. But his projectiles has a brief speed delay you have to memorise so that you shoot where the survivor is going rather than right at them. A rather comfortable killer to use if you aren't missing often. Suffers from map pressure as well.
- Pyramid head. A mid range projectile killer that can shoot through walls. Can plant trails in loops that survivors sometimes make mistakes trying to avoid, when all it does is allow you to "instant hook" them without needing to pick them up, or instant mori if they are on death hook. His projectile is tough to master the timing as it has one of the longest delays, requires very patient aim at where the survivor is going to go rather than where they currently are, unless its a tight corridor then fire away. I often notice he can be outrun at the worst of times, sometimes even across the map in a straight line. Tough to win with, but with enough skill can beat anything due to his projectiles going through loops.
- The Blight. 2nd strongest killer in the game due to his speed and maneuverability in and out of chase. Like if hillbilly could just keep dashing at you 4 more times if he missed. Though not used as often as kaneki since he still takes a bit of mastery and can be looped around small objects.
- The Twins. Being in 2 places at once, victor is rather fun to use like a little zoomy pouncing cat. If the target is healthy, he latches on and shows charlote the survivors location while injuring them. You then walk over and complete the down in powerless m1 mode, or pull victor out again when he comes bacn to you. Pouncing an injured survivor knocks them down. If more than one person is injured, you can run around and knock down multiple people before switching back to charlotte for pickup. Victor can also be "placed" as a detection device, most don't rember you can crouch past him when hes dormant to avoid detection. Fun to use, but frustrating if you miss, because the survivors love to "kick" victor to death when he misses a pounce. Hes vulnerable only for a short time tho. Still suffers from some bugs like victor not hitting when he should have sometimes.
- Trickster. Ranged machine gunner, recently "berfed" buffed+nerfed. Very map specific, as certain maps give lots of cover, other barely give any cover at all making mowing people down with knives a breeze or a struggle. Has decent potential to cut through health states fast if survivors are in bad positions or out in the open (like opening an exit gate or a short rock to loop around) not recommended for console as it requires good aim to maintain fire on survivors.
- Nemisis. Pallet shredder, Decent antiloop in chase and zombies for map pressure, but suffers from having to force the survivors to use up a limmited supply of cures and hitting them more than twice if they arent infected (1 per person, or 3 total with an addon). Once the cures are gone however, nothing stopping you from injuring them with every whip. Requires good aim with the whip and has the shortest projectile delay, (so again aiming where they are going but not as hard as pyramid head). The whip levels up and after its first level it breaks pallets instantly, on 2nd level its much afarther reach (like the width of the killer shack building). Comfortable killer to use, slow start up but quite the powerhouse as the game drags on like oni.
- The Artist. Very technical killer to use and requires mutlitasking. But once u get used to how she works youd be surprised just how quickly she can cause chaos from anywhere in the map. Can completely deny loops by placing projectiles that hold position until fired. So if someone starts looping around a pallet or window, you place the projectile, and start chasing the opposite direction. Their choices become run infront of the projectile and get shot, or try to reach another loop. Shes also capable of 2 shot sniping which requires some mastery to figure out the right delay to place the 2 projectiles to fire at the same time, but hit at different enough times to count as 2 hits. Can also fire birds mid chase so long as you predict where the survivor will be once the projectile gets there. Complicated but strong.
- The Onryo. I used to main her before all the changes. Now she just spams teleport to try and get players condemned for instant moris without hooks. But can also be played as a mild stealth killer. I like using her on/off stealth mid loop to hide red stains and be unpredictable. In general shes powerless in chase besides the on off thing, and can teleport to tvs across the map that are next to generators. Good at ambushing people, but her stealth has gotten nerfed since they added the glowing heartbeat setting for deff players. Now everyone uses it can see when shes coming because of a luluby (secondary terror radius that cannot be shut off)
- The dredge. Good mobility in maps with lots of lockers. Can teleport between them. Like oni his goal is keeping people injured as he has a meter that building up causing "nightfall" which gives him an advantage like hunting survivors in the dark with nightvision while the survivors barely know where they are going. His locker teleport can also be held in chase to place a shadow on the spot, which you can eithet teleport to a locker or teleport back to the shadow, or let go completely. So in a loop you can use this shadow to forcd survivors into a teleport point and hit them after teleporting. A decent loop denial ability but requires practice.
- Wesker. Though recently nerfed. What was nerfed were complicated "techs" which required mastering sliding angles along walls. Ive never used these techs myself so it hasnt changed much for me, hes still decent in chase just the skill ceiling kinda dropped, as you now just have to play him normally lol. 2 dashes, infection on hit, can slam 2 people together for multiple injuries. Can use the dashes for a mild mobility tool. Kinda plays a bit like blight without needing to bounce off walls.
- The knight. Loop denial and tactics. 3 summonable minions with different roles, rogue runs faster and causes deep wound when hit (best for chasing survivors for injure/down). Carnifex, the big guy who breaks stuff fast, shreds pallets, walls, generators, and can also be used to generaly chase someone around at a normal speed. Jailer is the "patroller/protector" who lasts the longest both in chase and patrolling around. Can protect generators you just kicked so that people don't go right back on it or keep people out of a strong loop etc. The knight is capable of sending minions after people so he can chase and down 2 people at once, can pincer people in between him and his minion to land a "double tap", and use minions to flush people out of buildings while he calmly waits by the door with open arms lol. Benefits from perks that tell him where people are so he can place his minions at survivors feet before they can react to his terror radius.
- Skull Merchant. Nerfed into the deepest pits of worthlessness. Used to have decent on off stealth and loop denial, but the activation for stealth is now more complicated and requires you to break your neck turning around to remove one of your place drones across the map to get temporary undetectable, rather than just ploping a new drone to activate undetectable on the spot. I still try to play her but have trouble enjoying it these days. Excels in indoor maps as the drones often clip people (causing injury and radar detection) who are forced to run through them in narrow corridors.
- Singularity. When he first came out he was suffered from having too strong of s counter item for survivors. Thats changed and hes a nearly unstoppable pallet shredder that constantly teleports right behind the target by shooting them. Good map pressure due to being able to place cameras to watch generators/hooks/totems etc and use them to infect then teleport to survivors in their effective range. When teleporting behind peope with your gun, you get very fast pallet breaking, or pallets break when they hit you, causing no stun but a slight slowdown where you can still strike the survivor. Very strong killer these days. But requires multitasking with your cameras.
- Xenomorph. My current biggest main, but not easy to recommend. Im just a big fan of aliens vs predator. Requires precision aim as the tail is a very small hitbox that can harmlessly bounce off anything including flame turrets the survivors carry and place to burn you and shut off your tail strike power temporarily. Suffers from speed in chase as ive noticed people just keep running and you take a while to keep up and get into range for your tail. Also suffers from survive with friends groups as they like to build multi turret safe zones they always run back to. (1 turret is easy to break, 2 turrets you are forced to break 1 and get burned by the other). Has tunnels to enter and travel around in, seeinf survivors footsteps from underground, good for finding people who are hiding. Tunnels also regenerate your tail quickly if youve been burned. Strong in chase, so long as they can stay in striking range without getting burned
- Chucky. Very small character thats stealthy and tough to see. Has a good on/off stealth ability with a long range dash attack that requires some practice to control. Excells at ambushing people by being hard to see, and best at mindgaming in loops. Can use the dash to go under pallets but continues the dash on the other side, which is not likely to hit someone unless they just started running straight.
- The unknown. Tough to master grenade launcher, requires hitting the target twice in a row to damage with thier shots, if u miss, the survivors can reset their infection by maintaining line of sight then you have to shoot them 2 more time lol. Can teleport to illusions he places periodically by himself, benefits from stealth perks ( which he comes with) and survivor aura reading.
- Vecna (dungeons and dragons). Has the most abilities of any killer. Swaps between all 4 manually and they each have their own cooldowns. Fly - allows him to zoom around for a short period, going over windows or pallets. Dispelling sphere -fires a big invisible orb across the map, anyone caught in it gets detected by it telling you where they are. Mage hand - holds a pallet in place temporarily preventing survivors from using it. Lifts up the pallet if it was down. Perfect timing of this can cause unavoidable hits. Flight of the damned - shoot 5 ghost skeletons in a fan shape at head hight. If they duck the shot will just go right over them. But fires through walls and elevations. Useful on staircases where you can shoot at their feet so they cant duck. An addon changes the shot to 2 skeletons at ground level. Its also your only direct damage ability.
- Dracula. My 2nd main. He excells at adapting to most situations by swapping between 3 forms on the fly. But requires getting used to how other killers work that hes emulating. Like the wolf form has 2 pounces that work similar to wesker but weaker. The base vampire form can fire a line of fire pillars similar to nemisis/pyramid head that go through windows and short walls/objects but its got a long cooldown. And bat form thats similar to spirit in high speed but cant see survivors. Just their scratch marks. Also can't attack immediately out of bat form. One of the strongest killers in the game if played with precision and knowing when to switch forms.
- Houndmaster. Very buggy and hard to control dog with a broken ai. Avoid until she gets bug fixes.
- Springtrap. Plays very similar to xenomorph only none of his downsides, at the cost of a long cooldown on his 1 projectile at a time. If you miss, or hit the target, while unable to shoot you also move faster. Capable of using doors to teleport around the map and gain a lingering undetecable effect. But has lound footsteps rendering him never perfectly stealthy, just enough to get within throwing range. Requires practice aiming the arx of the thrown axe as it goes downwards not straight like huntress.
- Krasue. Ive been enjoying her lately because shes a very aggressive 1 v 1 chaser. Spit, infect, swich to very aggresive head form which is nearly impossible to make distance from. And can attack with very long lunges around loops. And floats over pallets. Since headform can only damage infected players, she suffers from a 2nd person coming in to body block for the infected target. Doesnt happen often but when it does it can be tedious to switch out of head form just to infect the blocker and then resume in headform. If no body blocking occurs, she is a vicious beast in chase and loops.
- The first (Henry Creel) the latest addition to the game. A very strong killer that can constantly shoot through walls. Very spamable shots that are not very punishing for missing. But still requires good aim to eventually hit the target multiple times. Capable of going into the ground to travel freely and quickly going through windows/doors/pallets etc. Can burst out of the ground in a giant area of effect causing double stacks for his power buildup (which 2 stacks on a survivor causes your shots to now damage anyone for a long period of time.) Requires perfect predictive placement of the circle before coming out of the ground as the survivor is given just enough time to run out of it (if there is a wide space, if they have any walls in the way its much harder to escape from). Main counter is staying out of firing range by constantly running away from loops and maintaining a long distance. Along with predicting where your shots will land. So far im enjoying playing as him and find him comfortable to use despite some players maintaining distance.

As far as recommending 1 killer, its tough to just pick 1 out and say "yea do that one" because it depends on what killer's play style sounds fun to you.
People will probly hate me for saying this but the most commonly used, and most hated killer by the community is Kaneki (the ghoul). He is used often because he is not only one of the top strongest few killers, but the easiest to pickup and play and get immediate results with, even on console. As hes the type of killer you can hook someone, see people healing on the other end of the map, and be on top of them in 2 seconds, with an instant auto aim attack that almost cannot be avoided (doesn't down but takes them to injured for free). He can vault pallets, and cannot be outrun. For example if they leave a pallet to try to get to the next loop you can leap right behind them and hit them before they make it there, so they are forced to stick to loops and treat pallets like gold.
But if u don't just wanna go with what everyone else is doing, ive played every killer on the roster regularly so ill just list what its like playing as them and u can decide what sounds fun to you. Im also not sure what killers you currently have alredy.

My first question would be if you are on console or a pc. As some killers are much harder to use on console to a point where they are avoided.

Even players who play a lot of killer, and main certain ones, can still lose as the game is designed to allow both teams to win in certain ways. So don't beat yourself up about losing on killer.
- Take killer with a survivor mindset, go in expecting to lose but try to win, rather than expecting to win and try not to lose, it reduced the amount of stress you get from playing killer as you have to outplay 4 people at once.
- Experiment with perk builds that compliment your chosen killer, for example stealth does not work in legions favor as it cuts off his ability to find survivors while in feral frenzy since it requires them being in a terror radius. So he can use stuff to limmit windows/pallets against him while also bringing stuff to know where multiple people are.
- If there is one survivor you absolutely cannot catch, you can still win by realising this early, breaking off, and killing everyone else first. As your easiest chance to kill that one person is when he doesnt have enough people to do generstors, has no hatch to use if u closed it, and has no option other than to run if you catch him before a door opens, and will even die to the timer if you still can't catch them.
- Mind gaming is the only thing that helps most killers catch people in chase fast enough. Playing survivor helps to learn survivor behaviour patterns you can exploit to cut them off when they least expect it.
- Learn about your chosen killer's weakness, and try to prevent it from happening. For example clown's biggest weakness are pallets and "map pressure" noone on the map feels threatened to stay off generators when they know the clown has to physically walk all the way over to them, so they stick to generators like flies on poop. Whereas someone like wraith keeps people scared he will pop out any second so they wait for people to be in chase sometimes before touching generators. So what compliments him is stuff like friends till the end that keeps people hiding in lockers to avoid being the next obsession, scourge hook pain resonance to blow up generators from afar due to less mobility, and anti pallet perks since they are the survivors are often forced to feed you pallets in chase.
- Accept that some killers aren't that strong and if the survivors are an elite team there isnt much you can do except keep trying for a very stressful round. For example that one you cant catch but the whole team loops just as well. So its better to just accept the defeat, and try to get as many points as you can out of the round, hoping the next round can be more in your favor. Like when playing survivor and your team mate is tunneled out early.
- Experiment with other killers to find your ultimate favorite. My friend started with wraith, pig, and dredge, then i got her to try huntress and she enjoyed it more.
- If you go against a bullyt squad (flashlights, constant stunning etc) have patience. As they barely work on generators and spend too much time being right where you want them. Eventuallh you will win if u keep fighting and it gets quite satisfying. If gens are still being done, find the one doing them, and take them out, the bullies will still avoid generators mostly.
- If you know survivors are waiting at the exit for you, don't worry about it. Use the time they give you to go around the map breaking pallets and walls for extra points. Turn it into a waste of their time not yours.

I think most of the times someone starts with "i have a p100 ____" is usualy when people are talking about said character and they just want to explain their point with the fact that theyve desicated atleast some time to trying to get to know how the character works before making a point.
Like for example me saying i have a p100 xeno so i know he sucks against swf groups more than most of the roster because they like to make dedicated multiturret safezones. Doesnt mean ive mastered the killer and went all the way to high mmr or anything but ive played it enough to know some things others might not. I honestly cant tell if im in high mmr with xeno but every single round is a sweatfest compared to playing other killers on the list like chucky etc.
Meanwhile i also have a p100 ghoul as a big fan of Rize from the anime, but refuse to use her 99% of the time because im still waiting for the hate and overuse to die down. So ive used her maybe 20 times in total since ghoul's chapter launch. So it can be either someone that knows some stuff or just leveled them cuz they like them lol

So far from experiencing both sides this time around
- Blood pumps always spawn bugged together within 1-2 metres of eachother, close enough to take a selfie with all of them in 1 picture.
- Blood pumps are initially tough to find compared to the blood generators themelves (perhaps the eye offering can show their auras like the dousing rods during halloween shows rifts)
- Bloodpoint gains aren't all that great usually with 1 person ending up with about 40k, rarely reaching 50k.
- Finnishing regular generators carries less incentive simply because the blood generstors give bloodpoints to everyone. Even though atleast 1 is required to be done.
- Blood pump distances to blood generators are more often miles away due to thr clustering effect of them all being in 1 spot of the map.
- It seems theres less incentive to kick over blood cans now when they are left on the ground.
- Multi floor maps are more advantageous to killers due to having to carry cans to different elevations wasting more time walking or more blood lost per can while running.
- Kicking blood gens shouldnt be the community goal, as the killers are more likely to use the hooks. So entire rounds can go by without 1 blood gen kicked or finnished.
- Maybe killers could recieve special basekit scourge hooks called "blood syphons" or something, so that its not just survivors getting to focus on a new mechanic.
- Event offerings should stack at the very least since they are shut off for the rest of the year.
- Offerings pile up insanely quick especially on killers being prestiged during the event. You will never need 1000 of them unless they were useable all year long. Perhaps they can be refunded into bloodpoints by the end of the event.

I know what you are getting at but Claire/Jill/Leon/Ada/Chris are thirsted over heavily in the RE fandom, so that's why it doesnt really make sense here, I know why it is, it's because they look awful in comparison to their actual selves for the reasons i listed, Resident Evil is essentially the biggest seller of like any horror game franchise ever, so if they just put actual effort into the survivors they'd probably keep the RE fans lol.
And as for Castlevania I absoloutley agree they should have done Shanoa as a Legendary, Richter is so tragic and the Silent Hill cast looking so broken also makes me really sad. I just wish they didn't ignore feedback don't even let us refund them when we try to get fixes for them, so upsetting at times.
What's upsetting is like my main: Claire, has been broken for like 2 or 3 patches too
IDK its an emotionally charged rant, it's just clear they aren't retaining fanbases like RE, they could do a lot better to do so.On another note with Re. Rebecca is the only one i prestiged because shes the only one they made look like the original from re zero/re1 remake. Otherewise every other re character is a remake version and chris is just.. confused on weather to be re 1 or re 5. While i did play the remakes, growing up withe the original looks like 1-6/revelations, then having them all replaced kinda makes them not feel the same for me. Like leon doesnt feel like leon to me. Im used to his original re4/re6 look with mercer's voice. And i can't stand "new Jill" she is a completely different person looks and personality. It was even kinda insulting to me that they took Jill's revelations/re5 outfits and slapped them on "new Jill".

Highest picked survivor overall is sable because boobs and sexy outfits. Highest picked licensed survivor is lara because boobs and sexy outfits. Maybe we just need more boobs and sexy outfits.
On the other hand licensed survivors suffer from lack of "variety". My first main was Rebecca. She still is never getting a new outfit besides the 1 recolour since her launch. Therefor next to no customization - for the entire game's lifespan. But pick any original amd they all have atleast 8-30 options by now, making them harder to get bored of with consecutive matches.
Infact most of my 8 mains beside skull merchant, are all licensed characters that rarely ever recieve anything new, with the exception of xeno for some reason. (rebecca/xeno/trevor/dracula/ghoul/lara/aestri/skull merchant)
My biggest main survivor would be Trevor Belmont. But would you believe i actualy hate Trevor. And couldnt care less about Alucard. What i wanted from castlevania was just Simon Belmont, and Shanoa. Both were "considered" enough to be tossed in as cosplays but not worth the time to bring in as full legendaries. So i hate Trevor just because he was chosen of all the Belmonts. And Alucard was chosen just because he was the dev's favorite. Then after begging for a year and so on for Shanoa atleast, they throw in probably one of the worst legendaries theyve ever done visually - Richter Belmont. Looks nothing like ANY of the source material and they ignored all feedback.
So i know what u mean by venting how the licenses you love were treated lol. My duo was so excited for the walking dead, couldnt stand playing the characters because of the sound quality - which was also feedback ignores to this day.
-
My guess is they are waiting for legendary customisation to start touching up silent hill / resident evil characters
-
I dont even know what mmr im in these days, im either winning easily or losing horribly
-
Just played 2 rounds as skull merchant, didnt even bring perks cuz i was expecting to lose anyway, and the first one they just left 2 people to die on first hook and went "yea we're not doing this"
And it seems that way every round with the pumps all being in 1 spot with blood gens a mile away lol
-
If it happens all the time you can just put ttv in your name. allot of ttvs are fake.
-
Theres also a time of day thing where a certain few hours of the day ive noticed its just a much more miserable experience as any killer on the list, or survivor.

Jackie Estacado has all the makings of a great killer. Great lore, sympathetic story, plenty of character motivations that the Entity could exploit to keep him busy.
Looking back to the old Darkness PS3 game, there's lots of potential for really fun and unique killer powers too.
Also, super obvious Mori - Eating the survivor's heart.I did not even pick up on the name being from darkness lol

By not achieving your dreams!
More seriously though, the grass is always greener… I often fantasise about working a night shift for the peace it could bring, especially as I am fully a night owl anyway.Oh im far from peace either lol its a minimum wage job where im the "favorite" that does twice the work for the same pay as everyone else and the only one who fully understands english lol

I could see it. It's possibly the one reason I'm greatful for my highly generic 9-5 office job, even if I'm messing about on the forums while at it. I don't have to play against daytime players.
Maybe that's what they mean by Dead by Daylight. Playing this game in daylight hours kills you.Id love a 9-5 office job lol how do you go about getting those?

I mean this kindly, but any play during "business hours" is going to bias the people you match against towards those that play the game much more. Some people may work night shifts and things so it's not guaranteed, but if you're not at work/college/school at that time and choosing to spend your day like that, you're probably highly committed to the game.
I made the mistake of booting up DBD during a day off at around 12pm, and the difference in how the game played was stark. Every killer was an actual horror antagonist for a change, and every survivor was pathing near perfectly and practically input reading me.I actually do work night shift and play the game quite often lol. Ran out of achievements n challenges and 8 p100s and no idea who to even put points into anymore. I play the whole roster on both sides. But yea "business hours" for me ends up being right after work (a night shift into morning). im better off not playing till i sleep and wake up at like 3pm lol.
But the fact that the game can get that bad for an specific period of time is probably where most of the crashout/venting posts come from.

Look after yourself, pal. Refresh, play something low stakes, chill and come back renewed.
I do understand how you feel. I'm wanting to get better at Ghostface at the moment and with his current power level you can imagine how well thats going lmao
Ive discovered that playing killer around 8-9am is the most miserable experience the game can possibly give lol. Didnt matter what killer i chose, or what build i used. First round as my 2nd main dracula, was a fully decked out bully team complete with the map they wanted (dead dog saloon) and the old toxic multiple locker stun tactics. I had the patience to whittle them down and win in the end, which was satisfying for that one moment. Also during that round discovered a new wolf form bug that prevents you from dashing or attacking until you switch forms lol.
But the next 10 rounds was basic swfs with half flashlights half gen rush builds with gens flying faster than i could get hooks lol i mean i can understand losing every once in a while or at most every other game but every. Single. Round. Since i turned the game on was either you bring meta and tunnel or just try to enjoy getting a few hooks and wave as they leave lol.
I don't like using meta builds or tunneling and camping people to death, but the game (during those hours) feels like you literally are supposed to do those things and bring the strongest build u got or you get the same bad result, alllll morning.

Senran Kagura
However don't wanna judge but you shoudn't only blame feminism for that, just sayin.
I can understand itd be hard to recommend the game to someone these days. Things were different back then. Like lara croft having big boobs was just "funny" and nice to look at, now its considered extremely offensive and disgusting since feminism did play a role in changing the way games are made today as i highly doubt men went out of their way to enforce such changes.
But aside from all that, at first glance you would look up senran kagura for the first time and just see typical fanservice boobs n butts etc, but it was much more complex than that. There was lots of humor and actually funny jokes. Each character had good backstories, deep personalities, weapons, fighting styles, special moves, ultimate moves, they each belonged to 4 seperate factions of good vs evil, they used different elemental abilities, some summon giant squids or other animals, had rivals among the 4 factions, and many customisations. Also every character in the games were playable. It was a really good game series. Even had its own anime.

Drone ai minions roaming the map searching for survivors to lach onto and track,
while her powers are more centered around her big claw having different abilities. And the tracking device.

I'm probably one of the only people that still likes League of extraordinary gentlemen lol, but i guess that was more of a "graphic novel"
