Was called toxic for playing a 12 hook match, when i could have gotten my first kill at 4 gens. Only started to kill at 1 gen.
So uhh yeah...
oh gosh, you were CALLED toxic? I can't understand how you're alive to tell the tale.

It's really unfortunate that they went back to requiring survivors to escape in order to get the cosmetic reward too. So not only is it a bummer to play an offering for BP for everyone but also can be prevented from getting your anniversary cosmetic. It's sad that the winter/new year events are more rewarding than their Anniversary event.
Survivors don't have to escape, just have to be alive with an invitation active when the gates are opened.

I can't believe they had the gall...the absolute nerve to run a Mori.
I'm almost tempted to tag a dev in here and see if we can excise this scum, somehow.
Not cool.
It was Pyramid head, I assume to try and avoid DS's

funny how you never show up in threads where the anger is directed towards survivors.

So playing the game normally is ruining the event?

Yea immediately tunneling off hook first match of an event is definitely ruining it.

Is it?
I'm guessing you mean that it's a 'report reason' in postgame...but so is rage DCing, and as I recall, the devs have said that DCing isn't bannable after the addition of the penalty system.
As I can't even find a single example of anyone getting banned for either, even anecdotally (outside of one wave in 2019 for DCing, before the current system was in place), the endgame report reasons are likely just a floor file to give people a chance to vent, much like the 'unskilled' report criteria in LoL.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3001393#Comment_3001393
Lobby dodges, I'm guessing - which do cause the SBMM system to poop the sheets. That's a different issue though.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3001399#Comment_3001399
If you're literally sitting AFK for hours every day, that shouldn't be hard to detect.
DCing is not reportable and mods here will CONSTANTLY tell you not to report for it as it's already automatically punished.
-
I'll give you one guess as to who the only person on my team was with BT :)
BT is almost a necessity, and I'm also thankful for how strong DS used to be because it does curb some killers from instantly picking you up, however less and less killers are caring about DS and tunneling and picking up right away, at this rate I am going to have to start running BT, DS & Dead Hard to try and avoid hard tunnels.

RE7 doesn't even have a model viewer and that's when Ethan was introduced to Resident Evil, so if RE7 doesn't have a model viewer, and his face is blacked out in RE8 then they never actually show his face until this 3rd person game mode they're adding.

My definition of gen rushers are survivors that won´t heal up and push a gen out, even while injured. See the Adrenaline on 2 of them? Why waste time with healing, if the completed gens will do this for us? I spreaded the damage, injured everyone and instead of healing, they just sticked to gens. Let their teammate reach struggle phase, while i chased someone else. Just to finish the gens.
By the looks of the points, you didn't get any hooks and nobody saved, it's highly unlikely they needed to heal anyway. You win some, you lose some, they also ran medkits so why would they not heal?

How people can enjoy a match, where they play just 4 minutes and escape with less points, then what they would have earned dying in a normal match. Is beyond me.
"One contained people doing their objective, the other one didn't" ftfy.
I don't understand how the huntress match indicates gen rushers, none of them had perks or items (besides a toolbox set up for sabo) to aid in gen speed, so the only thing that makes them gen rushers is literally them doing their objective...

No ######### way was that an actual teaser for the Dredge.
I wouldn't consider it a teaser as there would absolutely be no way of figuring out that it was the dredge before hand, especially because the dredge is new to the universe there's no way we could have got to this conclusion with any amount of teasers.

I’ll say it a million times. Borrowed Time endurance should last 15 seconds, and if the player is hit during that time they’ll endure another hit. If a protection hit is registered while BT is active the player will fall down instead.
It’s supposed to allow the rescued person to get away from the hook after being unhooked. A means to counter tunneling as killers come right back to down the same person. If killers knew that unhooked survivors were protected for 15 seconds they would look for the unhooker most of the time.
The moment unhooked survivors use their endurance to protect the other then it’s beyond the intended purposes.
@Predated said:

With the way protection hits work, this is too easily abused.
Lets take this scenario:
Survivor unhooks you with BT, then dead hards. Since that survivor is injured, now your hit counts as a protection hit and you would be downed in a situation where survivors literally brought you a perk that protects the unhooked survivor from being hit.
There is no real issue with blocking when BT is active, its a high risk high reward situation, the biggest issue with BT blocking is the way Dead Hard works right now. For someone to block you with BT, then reach the other side of the pallet(without Dead Hard) and stun you without you being able to block the pallet drop yourself is someone who simply outplayed you. Personally, I would say that either Dead Hard wouldnt work while you have endurance or that Dead Hard only works while the killer attacks you(similar to how Overcome works). In both those cases, BT is no longer an issue.
Exactly this, protection hits are something like, 10m near an injured survivor counts as a protection hit, it would completely negate BT if the person that saves you is injured when they save you, the killer could then not hit the saviour and hit the saved which would down them through BT because they're within range of the injured saviour.

You can't push a survivor out? Walk towards them and hit them, they aren't going to let you down them and hook them, they will leave lmao.

Honestly why do people care? Devs have said it's fine to bleed survivors out for 4 minutes so maybe once in a while you have to hold W for 15 seconds to end the match it's no effort really
-
You can literally hold W and make them leave, I don't understand why everytime I enter these threads people talk about "wasting your time for two minutes" when the killer has all the power to make them leave ASAP.

And don't even start with something like "well they should have put more resources into gameplay than into this" Because for all 6 years of DBD's life, this has been the case. This doesn't effect the overall game or you at all.
There's a saying that's pretty apt for this kind of scenario "too many cooks spoil the broth". You can't just hire 20 more Devs that have never worked on dbd or know it's systems and how it's programmed and expect them to make meaningful changes or fixes for the game.

You seem a little upset that people that are paid to create characters stories and talk about them are doing exactly what they're paid to do.
If it doesn't matter to you then fair enough, but it matters to some and that's far more important, are you mad at literally all of the lore? Why even give the characters names at this point, infact let's just remove all the characters names and faces and story because none of it matters, lol.

You are one of the reasons LGBTQIA+ things get added to games because of bigotry or ignoring the fact these people exist.

- Bloodlust was introduced when infinites were a thing which isn't on the killer
- It still rewards failure despite this, you aren't supposed to want to greed pallets and vaults, pallets and vaults (more so pallets) ARE the free second chance similar to bloodlust. What I'm hearing this point is "Well people get to play in a form that would usually fail due to the existence of Dead Hard. The killer didn't outplay or catch them because they had a perk that allowed them to use a usually failing strategy." That doesn't make it a good perk. That does not mean it doesn't reward failure. It rewards failure.
Lmao pallets are the free second chance? If pallets didn't exist not a single survivor would escape and why aren't survivors supposed to greed pallets, because you don't want them to? Lol.
When I equip dead hard it's to boost away from a killer that is using bloodlust and Is inherently faster than me therefore nothing to do with "failure" but me knowing that killers catch up with me, lol.
-
@Bardon said:

By the same logic you've posited about Bloodlust, then survivors also get a free reward for failure in the speed burst they get when they get hit, so it balances out.
Wow you really got me there dude... Lmao
-
@tippy2k2 said:
My "real world" assumption is that the person being carried slips out of their grasp, which knocks them off balance. So it's not so much being stunned as it is that they're stumbling and trying to catch their balance.
my head logic is that the killer is holding the survivor and becomes fatigued from holding onto them so tightly while they wiggle around and have to catch a breath afterwards.

On the Micro level of the chase, Dead Hard does its thing and draws out chases even longer; especially if suvivors chain tiles they couldn't normally.
On the Macro level of the trial, Dead Hard coerces the killer into committing. Most survivors just say "drop the chase and pressure gens," but that becomes pointless when everyone has Dead Hard and all you're doing is letting the survivor who's exhausted recover their Dead Hard. You can't really chase, break a pallet or two, and change targets because Dead Hard also negates dead zones.
It's lose-lose.
Who says "drop the chase" because of dead hard? I can understand dropping the chase if you're spending 2 minutes chasing one person which so so so so many killers do, like the majority of killers will hard commit to a chase with someone they haven't even injured, let along facing dead hard.

It doesnt rewards failure, its a band aid fix for bad map design
Explain to me how am i supposed to catch a survivor on laurie's house as a m1 killer
Or on fathers campbell window
Or on house of pain of badham
Thats right, you cant if it wasnt for bloodlust (if both players palyed the loo right) they are called infinite for a reason. If it wasnt for bloodlust you would never catch up to them.
And btw i proc bloodlust maybe once every 2or 3 games since its so hard to proc whereas i see dh in every chase
It's funny how you say I know nothing but things that aren't infinite get called infinites, it's a terminology coined way back when and stuck around regardless of it being a literal infinite or not, which don't exist anymore, and haven't for a long time, just the same as syringes being called insta heals by people despite being far from their old insta healing past.
and I don't care how often you see Dead Hard, or how often you proc bloodlust, I also don't care what they do to Dead Hard, my argument is that it isn't simply a "reward for failing" etc. You're thinking too hard about this, lol.
-
@Souplet said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2979987#Comment_2979987
Hate to break it to you but if you compare BLOODLUST to dh you dont know what you're talking about
It takes forever for bl to kick in, its takes forever to go from stage 1 to stage 2 and even more so to stage 3
It resets every time you use your power, every time you break a pallet and unlike DH isnt in your control
Plus its a 4v1 game, meaning one side has to be stronger than the other. If you could loop the killer for 5 minutes only running around a rock, it would be kinda stupid no ?
Where did I compare them?
I simply stated that this whole "rewards for failure" point doesn't mean anything because people will play a loop longer because they know they can get an extra loop out of it because they have dead hard, and instead offered up an actual thing in the game that rewards killers for failing chases but no one is complaining about that when it actually does reward failure passively.
-
Does it really reward failure?
People play more "greedy" because they have Dead Hard, you didn't outplay them and catch them, because they knew they had Dead Hard, killers are also faster than survivors and also have bloodlust (which actually rewards failure, for free, unlike Dead Hard, which is a perk slot), so it's almost inevitable you'll catch up to a survivor.

Yeah, feels like a lie to me
Bhvr always use data related feedback. Ence the infamous "object of obsession isnt broken and unfair, people running it dont make it out alive" and being unchanged forever
Its like coh not being mentionned as a problem in the anniversary stream. Sure its not ran by 70% of the survivors like dh but its still present in every single match and is a problem since realease. The "answer" is the new killer perk
Tbh im pretty concerned about perk overhaul (bbq nerf for example ?) and i feel that this "one week ptb testing" is waaaaaaaaay too short of a period
But Object of Obsession was changed?
And the reason CoH wasn't mentioned is only because it wasn't in the top 5 perks used by survivors, it would be redundant for them to list off 40 perks when they have it on this graph they created
https://news.deadbydaylight.com/en/news/PerkOverhaul
They literally said on stream that there would be posts with more detailed information.

so, like it should happen if it was you living the experience? oh no, immersion, who wants that? -.-
Also, most people mentioning loops... How is looping funny or entertaining in any way? When I'm a killer and a survivor keeps running around the same thing over and over again is the most boring part of being a killer. I just let them run and go for something else to do... As a survivor, running around the same thing over and over again is boring, and I rathrr have the killer catch me than waste my time on that...
You know people play DBD to have fun right? Not to give every killer a win because "immersion". Immersion isn't a good excuse for absolutely boring and diabolical game play.
Do you genuinely think survivors losing every game would be enjoyable? Lol

Do you know how jarring it would be for survivors to constantly swap between the first and third person?

Yeah, but if you popped all 5 gens, you clearly don't need any help and don't need the adrenaline boost
If you hooked a survivor you clearly don't need bloodlust, or enduring, or any chase related perks.
You can be the last two survivors and one is getting chased and get's hooked as you pop the last gen and then you get healed and might have a chance, this is such a ridiculous line of conversation. If a killer can 4k you don't need anything etc etc.

Then making the 5th gen pop is no reason to get an adrenaline boost, you're already winning
I mean... 5 gens popping is literally completing the objective, killers can get noed while standing still the entire game, I don't think NOED should be nerfed but lets not pretend their conditions for getting them are even close to the same.

She is still the Strongest killer.
I'm just gonna assume ur joking
Stats mean nothing (like almost every killer being above 50% kill rate the past 5 times they've released stats) unless a killer can use that data to justify not nerfing something, lol.
-
@IlliterateGenocide said:
I would really like that honestly.
A build of a day sounds fun.
And a 75% boost to bloodpoints would def help less people pick a certain character.
BUT then again that would be a bandaid fix - these killers are played less for a reason
Are incentives a band-aid?
There are people that main every killer and do pretty well the majority of the time, I think a big issue with killer mains (not trying to hate) is they want to be a jack of all trades and be good with every killer without actually spending the amount of time it takes to learn some nuances every killer has, but in my opinion most people should be mediocre/ below average with every killer instead of every killer being strong enough that everyone is above average, and then if they wanted to perfect a killer they could spend that time playing that killer mostly.

You can't force people to play killers or builds that they don't want to. That would the same as Call of Duty saying today you can only use X weapon, that would be bad, it's either a decent but not great weapon, a bad weapon nobody uses or an OP weapon you're gonna see everyone use and complain about it. Same thing would happen in DbD, people only play certain killers for a reason and certain builds for a reason.
BP incentives won't make people play things they don't wanna play. Why would i play Twins for example if i can just use BBQ on my favourite/better skilled killer?
I mean, there is no "forcing" here, I have no idea how this is "forcing" anyone, it is giving an incentive to play certain things, and what's better than 100% bonus BP from BBQ and chilli? a 100% bonus from BBQ & Chilli + 75% from playing a character that hasn't seen many games today.
-
22 Survivors P3'd
20 Killers P3'd
I stopped when Felix came out as I started playing less and whenever I wanted specific items or addons for a killer I never had the BP to get them, I'm going to begin working on P3ing everyone before the change happens so I can have all perks.
-
I like VSing dead hard honestly, but also don't care if it gets changed, and it certainly doesn't need to be disable until it's changed.

Almost every killer gets buffed from PTB, and they've already stated that Nightfall isn't working as intended and should be stronger.
