It kind of is
Flashlights are fixed to where no more strobe effects will happen
Archives have been made less tedious and some bugs were fixed. May not be a big patch with updates to game mechanics but at least it’s ironing out the game
There were better ways to do that to flashlights without giving them an arbitrary cooldown that'll just make yet another action in this game feel clunky.
Slightly extending the duration of all flashlights, but adding a minor cost to actually turning them on would go a long way.

Constant killer aura reading? Like OoO? That is a perk ya know. Also, not sure why people publicly announce when they are leaving the game. The devs already explained their future plans to improve their system, even though it for sure won't stop it completely. Idk what else you want them to do, it is a problem for sure but it's kind of hard to stop all of them.
Object doesnt work like that anymore. Aura-cheats are fairly common for the subtle hackers though.

You know, the new prestige system is amazing... For new players. I, as a veteran, who didn't go past level 40 on most characters, basically have to take everything from 0. Most of the perks I had as teachables are gone. I'm lucky on the characters I had already leveled up before this change, since they have those teachables unlocked. But right now, I have to take everything from 0. I don't get why they didn't keep teachables in game. They wouldn't have the reduced the grind even further, and they would've been an alternative for old players who don't wish to take everything from 0.
You keep all those teachables you unlocked. You just effectively dont get a reward for P1 those characters.

An easy fix to thana would be a slight nerf to max slowdown, alongside frontloading the value. Make each subsequent injure slowdown for less, but start out slowing more.
For example:
* 1st injure - 7% slowdown - total 7% slowdown
* 2nd injure - 5% slowdown - total 12% slowdown
* 3rd injure - 3% slowdown - total 15% slowdown
* 4th injure - 1% slowdown - total 16% slowdown
This means most killers can achive in 2 injures (fairly doable) what used to require 3, however the overall effect for killers like legion and plague are lessened. Another advantage of this is that healing is even more encoraged rather than powering through as the individual injures matter more.

These are some cool changes, the current add-on seems too much in the mid-ground; not having a strong niche to fill.

At this point, I think killers will purposefully tunnel whenever there is no obsession cuz there is usually almost always an obsession in games. I don't think I'm explaining it well. It's like doing something because you can when you normally aren't allowed to.
I never tunnel when I play killer, however if there's no obsession I go from punishing someone for being dumb by slugging them to just hooking them. For example if I'm chasing a survivor and I suddenly hear the recently unhooked survivor close by I'll go for them (within reason). If there's an obsession then I'd slug them, if not I hook them.
It's not tunneling, but it does result in certain people getting out of the game faster (namely those who do stupid things expecting me to give them a free pass).

Yes, because they don't want to. They don't like that one person has to just sit on the hook for 2 minutes and they have to do all the gens, and 5 totems to avoid the inevitable noed during this time. Can't really fault them for avoiding doing the boring play; I've literally depipped off surviving because a killer was facecamping someone multiple times. It ain't fun and it ain't fair. It definitely isn't the main thing that needs to be dealt with at high level, however, but is a barrier to new players. Which the devs certainly seem to care about.
It's a shame that the game encourages ######### play like that, but it is better to either DC or genrush against them; they won't pip off of a noed pity kill and a camp, and they certainly won't pip if the survivors DC.
This game has lots of dumb stuff that makes bad plays worth more (see hookbombing rewards).

Clearly you haven't played much at rank 1 if you think facecamping killers only stay at low ranks lmao.
They pip because high rank survivors don't play around facecamping properly

Giving bloodpoints for recovering on the ground while slugged.
Even something as harmless as that, there's 2 complaints that I could think of, not giving enough points, or being in a category like alturism instead of survival.
It is rather annoying how hard it is to get survival points, could you imagine how little noed would be complained about if totems gave survival points rather than boldness?

I remember getting good use out of it when it was 30 seconds, but felt at the time that it wasn't quite long enough to be viable on most killers. 45 is most certainly a generous compromise, imo.
It's a poorly thought-out nerf; this change isn't going to affect a mobile (read: high tier) killer, it primarily affects the lower tier, less mobile ones.

Yes because every survivor has ds unlocked
You only need one to make an obsession. You only need 1 DS on 1 survivor to delay the killer by a minimum of 40 seconds. Pop doesn't even get used half the time, and given the last 2-4 hooks in a game don't have much use given the game is over by then, and that the first hook generally doesn't as 2 gens tend to pop around the end of first chase, thats only 7-9 pops per game that have the potential to be used to the maximum effort. Only 1 DS in 16 perks needs to exist for 2-3 pops worth of time, and that isn't counting any time wasted by the killer slugging due to 1/16 perks in the game being DS.
1/16 wastes as much time as 1/4. That's just not right.
-
@FFabeq said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1642859#Comment_1642859
Pop can be used 10 times maybe 11
Ds only once and you only have two changes to use it
You can have 4 DS in one game, and each DS can give the team an extra 40s, even if the survivor sucks. You gain 20s of time *just by running in a straight line* let alone actually getting to a loop and then looping, this isn't even accounting for the killer having to play far more cautious when there's an obesssion at all. Pop delays a gen by about 15s, given time taken to walk to the gen, and the lack of pressure you're applying to other areas of the map. Surely you've played games where there wasn't an obsession, and seen the massive difference even having *just the obsession* can make due to how reserved the killer has to play.
TL;DR If you think you're the only person on your team, or that DS only gives 5s of time, you haven't thought about the perks properly.

Sounds like a great idea, should be added 100%

I noticed streamers doing that too. Tru ran it like 14 games in a row and ignored comments asking to play without it and focused on talking about other add ons. When he did finally address it being OP for a green he said it was his 4k hours in the game and not the add on that was powerful before unknowingly admitting he just wanted to dominate survivors, lol. It needs to be balanced.
It's very strong, but IMO blight is so damn short he almost needs it in order to function as a normal killer. He can barely even see over windows, so every grass patch is effectively mini-corn.
-
He's too damned short. Shorter than ######### hag. I'm going to DC on swamp whenever I play him, along with a few other maps. Every map effectively has mini-corn with his PoV. It's awful.
-
His fov is fine. His PoV is way too low. It should be at his proper height; ghostface level.
-
He doesn't need turning buffs, he needs his PoV to be higher.

Yes that's good info but I solo you cant communicate to your teammates to not 3 gen.
I'm solo too, it's not too difficult to spot three gens early, as well as just knowing normal gen placements and what gens are best to do.

But the mere fact that a perk is required (not necessarily "required" but for the sake of my point I'm using the word despite that not being exactly what I mean) for you to deal with noed at all is extremely dumb. As a general point of reference - perks whose sole purpose are to counter other perks are notoriously unfun to use, why should you have to waste a perk slot just to deal with a different perk that is horribly designed.
Nope, no thanks. I maintain my stance that these old world perks like NOED and Decisive Strike need to be reworked ASAP and in their current state have no place in the modern game in 2020.
You're slightly misleading what Detectives actually does, it reveals generators, chests, and totems, so not only does it help you find that hidden Devour or the ruin eating away at your gen times, it also lets you spot disasterous scenarios such as 3gens no matter the map. Spotting the chests is quite nice too as a small bonus, though easily the weakest part of the 3.

Yes, you bring 1 perk on the offset to counter 1 perk. If I'm solo I rather run my meta build that is consistent detective's hunch doesn't help my survivability. If I were to say trade out DS for detective's hunch its gree range to be deleted in 2 seconds.
My solo build is DH, Inner Strength, Detectives hunch and DS, barring teammates who can't do chases to save their lives (literally), I escape fairly often.
Detectives gives a buttload of info that can help your game go very well, such as spotting potential 3-gens to deal with them before it's too late.

It wasn't scummy so much as petty. I'm not gonna lie, if I were that PH, I'd probably have found that situation funny enough to dance to.

Neither are good perks. But if we're going to compare the two then Visionary is the better choice. It at least works the entire game.
Visionary may work the entire game, but déjà vu works when it needs to, and still lasts a total of around 12mins per match. That's longer than your average game lol. It also helps avoid 3gens.

I don't think you understand how the perk works nor do I think you understand what the OP is suggesting. The OP isn't suggesting that all these perks be made into the base game. When he says "free" he just means that the perk itself isn't a teachable perk on a character that isn't part of the base game. In other words, everyone should have access to the perk but it would still cost a perk slot to run it. Also, visionary on any player isn't OP. It just lets survivors find generators easier. Generators have 12 foot poles with lights attached to them. You don't exactly need a perk to find the things.
Anyway, as far as the OP's suggestion goes I don't see why any specific change needs to be made. I agree conceptually that perks intended to be run by newbs shouldn't be put on new killers or survivors. Veteran players certainly don't need or want them added to the game and new players shouldn't have to grind 100 hours to unlock a perk that they won't use after they have played 100 hours. But at the end of the day not every perk is going to make everyone happy. I would argue that the majority of perks in this game are actually bad or poorly designed. New players today don't need those perks any more than new players from two years ago when they didn't exist.
Visionary isn't even that good tbh. Déjà vu exists.

What's Sandbagging? Like slowing them down or working with the killer against other survivors. Or something else
Sandbagging is just screwing over your teammates, whether intentionally or not. A good example would be unhooking in front of the killer, or bodyblocking someone being chased.
-
The farming you're talking about refers to the killer and survs working together to maximize their bloodpoint gain. Most people don't mind it though some dislike it and would rather play a proper game. If I'm stomping a game hard I tend to turn it into a farming game and let the noobs escape.
There's another kind of farming, which basically amounts to sandbagging your team in order to get more BP.
-
As you can see by the replies you're getting, you're just new. Survivor is the relaxing, chilled out role. Killer is not as strong as you think it is. Watch some good survivors on YouTube and you'll see.

Well, then let me make a counterpoint. I kept stats of over 200 games as solo survivor, and thats an even bigger sample size, and i got a survival rate of nearly 75%, which is way above the "balanced" 50%. So i proved even more that the game is survivor sided, don´t you think?
I've not played survivor in months, and ranking up from 20 with DS and a meme loadout has gotten me a 40% winrate so far. I've been able to max out boldness before the game is even half over most times.
All my experience is telling me is that most of those survivor games I've been screwed by teammates not doing much while the killer is busy.

If I abused the perks like said I tried to run at her to force them to be used I wouldn’t care if I got camped tunneled slug moried bled out etc it was the fact you can’t whine about perks when you are A cheating and B causing them to activate by you tunneling and slugging straight off hook should I not run them and just let killers tunnel me to dead hook?
Tunneling and camping are scummy, but for future reference using a crosshair is not cheating. Anyone can have a crosshair.

If you made rituals weekly quests that aren't as strict in terms of method of completion I think people would enjoy it. Might help with burnout too, I've got quite a few friends who don't play DbD anymore after the tomes were released due to intense burnout.

I'm not over blowing anything. Checking with one person/group(a person I've never even heard of in 4 years outside of this forum mind you) who may have lucked up proves nothing. It's much harder to cheat on consoles these days as opposed to pc.
Guess we will just have to wait and see though. That's enough out of me.
I mentioned it was Otz as he (Otzdarva) is one of the biggest DBD streamers. Personally I have 500 hours in this game, and the most I've ever seen that's pc exclusive are macros that spam flashlight clicks lol. There are so few cheaters in pc that in 500 hours I've never seen one. This isn't just me living in some server with less cheaters, I'm playing in South East Asia, and even with China right next door I don't get any cheaters.
Just give matchmaking a try, unless you're the unluckiest person in history you'll stop playing this game before you come across an actual pc cheater rather than someone abusing bugs (like the superspeed nurse that anyone on any console could do).
-

The point OP is trying to make is we want more selective cross play. I'm on ps4, wouldn't mind playing against xbox player, not to keen on the pc aspect. It's not even the frame rates for me. It's thebpc players who use cheats. It's not all of them but I'd rather not even be near that.
I've asked around in Otz's discord. The average amount of cheaters to playtime people had was about 1 cheater every 500-750 hours, and that was for the 3 people out of 10 who'd actually played against a cheater. You're massively overblowing just how many cheaters you'd see, trust me when I say there are effectively as few cheaters on PC as there are on console.
-
If there's no obsession I'll punish dumb plays more, such as someone looping like trash or unhooking in my face. Otherwise I'll play normally.
-
I'm back to getting instant queues as killer, so the MM is definitely back to the original. They've probably forgotten how boosted most people are.

tldr: add-ons are wack for killers, too many of them in blood web, decrease amount of em
as a survivor, add-ons are are needed to make items usable, and the add-ons are divided into four categories/ items so you essentially have 25% of add-ons usable at any given time. killers have one power, and without these add-ons they are already 4k-able, it depends on your knowledge and gameplay (obviously) but there are so many add-ons that are just ridicules. im refuring to the availability in the killer bloodweb, and how big an amount you can get just from basic leveling. the last couple of months, no exaggeration, EVERY killer has had full add-ons, and theres no reason not to. i think add-ons need to be nerfed, in amount and/or effect. if by amount i think it should be decreased by about 30-60%, because to be par with survivors, it would be 75% and with effects it would change around the board. i like how certain perks change powers in a certain way, like freddy bringing fake pallets instead of blood traps, but to many of them are, "the survivor dodged my attack, instead of rewarding the survivor, give me more chances" and that can be game-ending
im sure this is controversial, as killers are designed to be overpowered, but it doesnt seem fair to survivors. the powers are already designed to be able to sweep away survivors, and to be able to increase these powers so frequently isnt fair. i have no idea what will fill the bloodwebs instead, but it shouldnt be game changing add-ons
This is single-handedly one of the dumbest things I've seen in a while.

I'd prefer it if DS could be used twice and with no timer, as long as it gets disabled when healing/gen/bones are done. That way it works even better for tunneling but can't be abused to the extent it currently can be.

Their rules and use are clear and easy to play around.
If we want to do a wHaT aBoUt then yeah duh NOED is fine too. The game is actually in an amazing spot mechanically. MMR needs to settle so that deficiency in player skill can become more transparent, which is again my hunch.

rustle kind of sounds ok though you could bump that up to 40/60/80% and it would still only be somewhat useful on most killers but even 30% is game changing on spirit so im on the fence.
fresh meat having either a 12 second duration but only for the un-hooker with no cooldown and im in.
false trail is borderline broken and should not make it in the game ever, it sounds weak but the ability to not only hide your scratches but make them go another direction is borderline disgusting for the game, some chases with the sheer amount of second chances is bad enough without this on top.
justice sounds fun, quite fun but strong to, maybe only 1 other closest hook rather than 2? would still be strong but not cancerous to deal with especially if the survivor has boil over.
second chance is to much like DS so probably wouldnt be fun to deal with, but if DS got altered into this i'd be game but second chance+DS would be meta on every cancer group in trumps terror radius
I agree, there 3 survivor perks amount to be 3 more bloody second chance perks. I think this game needs less; I shouldn't have to play against 4 bloody small pp builds every game lmao.
I think fresh meat is fine, it's very similar to BBQ, and any alternative would be nice to see. Rustle is like you said a spirit-only perk, and hex:OoO is... Strange
