Dude that's only 64 people, that's nothing!!! currently there's 34k people playing DBD on PC, now add console to the playerbase....
That is not an answer to my rebuttal, There are 7.8 billion people in the world, why is 100 a common sample size?

Then you lunge from a distance and slug them. Have you not done that, I've baited killers with DS on a generator and they've lunged instead of grabbed me off the generator. Leave them, and if they immediately get off a hook, why aren't you going for the unhooker.
There's an obsession, you know damn well that unhooked survivor is baiting you. Don't fall for it, leave them slugged and go for the unhooker.
And please, don't give me the "BUT THEY HAVE UNBREAKABLE" because I'd Love to see your personal proof of that situation.
And what exactly is the problem with the response of unbreakable? And I can't hook them for a full minute, that means I either A. Leave them to go play the game, in which case they are likely to get healed or use unbreakable, or B. Keep close to them and do nothing, I don't think I need to explain why thats not happening. And that does not necessarily mean the other people don't have DS. If someone is running OoO how do I know if they or anyone else has DS?

Forums are not even 30% of the DBD community and only 64 people voted! That's not even 2% OF THE DBD community, ######### man.
That is a sample size of over 50, the recommended sample size is 30 for something with three variables.
-
@BigBrainMegMain said:
lol because 70% of killers are bad.
How hard is it to play more aware? If there's an obsession, you have to change your play style.
It doesn't need a nerf,
- No one forces you to go for the unhooked survivor.
- No one forces you to open that locker.
- No one forces you to pick up the unhooked survivor.
Believe it or not, there are 4 survivors on the trial, and those big glowy Red generators in the distance are their objective.
Go patrol.
Ignoring body blocking and the ways it can be abused. What if that survivor gets off the hook and immediately goes on a gen? Or starts slf caring right in your face. Your dismissal of the vast majority is pretty stupid.
-
@Warcrafter4 said:
If by nerf you mean exploit/abused fixes then I's agree with it needing a nerf.
As for why its not given one is because survivor would complain too much if they can't abuse the perk.
Trust me people complain about tunneling while forcing you to grab them out of lockers with DS as I had that happen with a survivor next to a 90% done gen so i had to eat the DS and down them so they'd wouldn't finish the last gen.
I do, it works well as an anti-tunnel perk, but is super good at being abused.
-
Then why was 70% of the votes for it to be nerfed? Why is it constantly being talked about in the context of being too powerful?
-
How about earning a token when completing gens? It would reward doing objectives and kinda fits with the theme of the perk.
-
The satisfaction of crushing a good survivor team, and the satisfaction of escaping a good killer. Also the licences.

Halloween (2018)
The Thing (1982)
Scream
Saw 1
Thats all I got.

whats that from, fnaf or something?
Its from the FNAF book series "Fazbear Frights"
-
3 chapters are worked on at a time, so they know about half a year in advance.
-
I consider 2 kills to be a win for everyone, a shift either way leads to the other side winning/losing.
-
I like it, but perhaps the regression could be slowed depending on how many survivors are still alive, just so it doesn't become completely impossible to pull off a 1 or 2 man escape.

Gotta keep the ratings low or it'll be banned in places like China and Australia, and it'll get an adults only rating everywhere else. All these things would impact sales and as a company you really want to try and get your product out to as many people as possible.
Didn't F13 get a chinese release though? That game had so much gore. Not sure about australia.
-
I'd like it, but it probably isn't most peoples first option.

Thanks for the advice. One of the reasons I actually wanted to add in dismemberment it to increase the gore factor of the game other than just blood.
I wish they added a gore system in. It feels kinda weird to see the killers brutalize a survivor, but to have the survivor look the exact same.
-
Sounds cool, but I think your "unique perks" idea should just be the addons. Also, Rip is just not a good idea, make it function off of second hook like PH it would be fine. Also, DBD doesn't have a gore system, taking off limbs is impossible. Aside from that, this would be cool. Perhaps a second killer if we get a chapter, along with springtrap.
-
Mate, imagine trying to find hags traps in a ######### jungle. It'd be impossible.
-
@CertArn said:
So... If someone with 10000000 hours didnt play for a while and will drop down to rank 20, he will be playing with some poor rank 20 killer without any addons? EZ GG.
And anyway, most confusing idea ever. How... What? What difference this will make exactly? Lower ranks will be less powerful and higher ranks will be the same as now? With more stuff to play with?
People who start playing the game don't have OP addons, why shouldn't that player have to earn they're rank again? You also seem to be forgetting that survivors will only have access to items without addons, so they are also weaker. It could not more clearly been said that the main purpose for this is to make the game more consistent and easier to balance, did you actually read the post?
-
I'd be down for it. I'm just sick of all these posts. Its the same arguments everytime, "FNAF bad, it dumb kiddy game with cringe, it no scary" . At this point I've just stopped caring. If it gets in, cool. If not, thats also cool.
-
The game is way better balanced than most people think. Its inconsistency mixed in with confirmation bias that leads most people to whining.

@SCP_FOR_DBD, hey I have recently changed the powers, edited some aspects and almost completely changed Lost Signal by deleting it and separating it into two completely new powers that go along with the storyline of SlenderMan so I hope you are happy with the changes I have made and I tried to make the character as cannon to the games as I could.
Its a lot better, a lot simpler and streamlined, Nice job! However I do feel that the pages could be toned down a bit, but thats just a nitpick. Your dedication and creativity is astounding!

I'm curious, how do you propose survivors mindgame on multi story maps? Genuinely curious.
I was talking from the killers perspective, you can convince survivors to stop doing tasks without being anywhere near them if you can do it right. A good survivor will be able to call your bluff though.
-
I see more as a positive, just another tool to mindgame with. It could be muffled a bit, but I feel like we already have enough indications for it, but thats just me.
-
I wish, the game really needs it.

As she needs. I do want her to remain strong, as she's one of my favourite killers and has the potential to be a fairly high skill cap killer if the right adjustments are made.
Yeah, shes one of the few killers whos to strong.
-
He would fit if done right, hes one of the few massive licences left. On par with F13 and Alien. Once we get the big ones, I wonder what more obscure licences we might get.

I've realised I've been harsh on Unbreakable. Personally I think Spirit just needs a few adjustments to allow survivors an ability to react rather than just nerfing her to the ground.
Thats fair, though I do see letting survivors track spirit easier as a nerf.
-
I like it, unbreakable got annihilated though. I think spirit just needs a straight nerf tbh.

IDK if the two are comparable. MYC is a limited window of time to put the rescuer into the dying state on one hit. It still required the killer to catch the rescuer and hit then within a limited time frame. A killer version of BT would basically put the rescued person in the dying state for a limited time but could be used an unlimited number of time in a match or as many hooks each survivor has before dying, so a max of 12 times I guess.
My bad, I misread the the comment.

fair enough. i would say out of chase there both pretty similar in regards to there speed and huntress is worse of to find survivors due to her massive lullaby compared to deathslingers where he gets it easier due to his small terror radius
Thats true, it is way easier to sneak up on people as Deathslinger.
-
@Chappy04 said:

your ignoring the part where deathslinger has infinite ammo and doesn't have to go out of his way to collect hatchets from lockers. also the deathslinger can still get snipes, just not across map.
I know, thats why I said "In a chase", it means she doesn't have to take the second to reload. Shes worse out of chase, but better in one.
-
Huntress, she can shoot 5 times without having to reload. It makes her better in a chase. And she can snipe.
-
@Sadsnacks said:
It has no limitations in the number of times it can be used in a match.
Imagine if it worked the other way around. If it was a killer perk that caused any hooked survivor who is rescued outside of 32 meters from the killer to instantly be put in the dying state for up to 20 seconds and could be used unlimited number of times in a match.
That's why it sucks
So make your choice but stronger?

@SCP_FOR_DBD, thank you for the opinion and again you have set up some fare points. For the secondary power I wanted to make something very unique that nobody else would think of so that was my reasoning for the secondary power also terrifying the survivors with isolation and fear of the unknown. As for the first power i accept your opinion I just like things somewhat advanced at times so that is kind of a 50/50 opinion. The last thing about the skins I do not really know what to say about cuz I did not know about those subjectives to the characters.
Thats fair, I can see wanting to make something unique and complex, even though I may not agree with it.
-
@55timballoons said:
@SCP_FOR_DBD, as for the name I was thinking of the licensed version which in retrospect that movie sucked but I guess I could change the name since it could also be a unlicensed character which would be even better when I start to think about it. As for the skins well I don’t do not see why those matter so much considering well everything you have said on those is mostly opinions and well skins just don’t matter to much so I think Creepypasta skins and these ones specifically are pretty decent ideas. The second power I was just trying to make unique and somewhat goes with the lore considering he makes some of his victims disappear and stuff though I am not saying what the second power specifically is the same exact effect that would occur on Slendermans actual victims within his lore. And no offense but I completely disagree with your opinion on the first power considering that is the coolest way I could personally think of making him teleport and it is basically like an improved teleport ability so kind of a mixture of a stalking ability from Michael Myers and a improved teleportation from the hag. I personally think wood stalker completely represents his ability to teleport while knowing where his victims are. Now onto the second ability you have a couple fare points and opinions on it but as I said it is very unique and it stops gen rushing in a way. Also characters like The Old Man from the SCP Foundation would have something similar to my second ability concept so I am in the middle of your opinion on that one but I personally like my concept of idea. In the end I appreciate the review on my imperfect yet interesting concept of a idea.
You make a few fair points. But I feel the need to clarify. When I said those creepypastas were disliked, I was talking from the communitys perspective, not my own. The original jeff the killer was removed and the new one has been mocked mercilessly, same goes for jane, eyeless jack and laughing jack, the rake is the only one people still remember positively. The teleport ability is just super complicated, and the secondary one just isn't necessary, why not make the pages spawn around the map? That way you still preserve the spirit of it. And I feel the need to say, the pages are only in the Games and Marble Hornets, tying them to the movie doesn't make much sense. Aside from that, I admire your creativeness.
-
I've got tones of small changes, but the big one is trapper. He requires extensive map knowledge, time management, and setup. I would put him right next to hag. I would also move ghostface up a tier, considering you need to know when to stalk.
-
I have many problems with this, though I think the concept of slenderman could be cool. To start, why is his name "The Pale Man"? Whats wrong with "The Slenderman"? Furthermore, literally all of the creepypastas you mentioned are heavily disliked, even within the community itself. (With the exception of the rake) And the power is super complicated and really doesn't represent him all that well. Also, his secondary ability is basically just "The survivor stops playing the game and looks for pages, they won't do anything useful for at least 2 minutes." I like the concept, but this just ain't it chief.
-
I wouldn't say OP but he would certainly climb a tier.
-
I don't think I would play anything else if this existed.

The haste isn't an indication, because it doesn't actually do anything. According to the perk description you get a 10% haste effect after hooking someone but you don't actually move faster or anything. I think it's because it specifically says that it gives you haste, when all the other perks that affect movement simply say "your movement speed increases..."?
Don't you get a notification though? I don't play enough against it as survivor to know for sure. Either way the fact its still a totem makes it super inconsistent.
-
People are so god damn annoying. I swear it actually can't get any worse.

Square makes me sad, it should be an Octagon, everythings better as an Octagon.

SCP Secret Laboratory. Its so tense its amazing. If I had to pick one on the list I'd probably go with Alien Isolation, I'm a sucker for intelligent antagonists.

I'm glad you don't have to deal with them. I made this post after I got a 4k stolen from me and next match I got moried. I was a little worked up, to say the least.

The DS Unbreakable combo is commonly referred to as the "Small PP" build. Add Soulgard and you can imagine what people think.

I'm pretty sure I've seen noob3 miss a few ds skill checks , however he might not be the best example because he is more easy going , but it happens enough
Thats fair, but it doesn't happen enough to be considered an actual downside.
-
I have never seen that happen. Most of the time they're new or didn't have DS. Not to mention, pointing and clicking a target when they are forced to stand still is much easier than hitting a skill check.

As long as they don't give it the generous hitbox of huntress hatchets it will still take time to practice the projectile
I guess I should of added that the slingshot should not be a homing missile type of item
I really don't think that matters, anyone with good aim will be able to hit it, especially if they act something like Deathslinger, this is mostly because of how much bigger killers are to survivors.
