Because killer mains complained about 2 survivors inside 2 lockers side by side with flashlights (Something very easy to counter and it used to happen in like 1 every 50 games at best)
And now everybody has to face a better flashlight save as a whole.

No one has ever said this.
Sure

I thought killer mains wanted for survivors to drop every pallet in a single chase

Play trapper on this map against survivors that know how to loop and see how we feeling.
"survivors that know how to loop"
but isn't that bad for every map?
-
We just need basekit Unbreakable when there are 2 survivors left in the game

Do I still get the charms if I buy a costume with shards?

Ah yes, the ol' reliable "it's your fault because you don't just ignore the harassment" argument, gotta love victim blaming.
Getting tunneled is obviously a bad time, but is is ridicilous to claim that encountering a Killer, who values their win over your fun, is on the same level as getting put into a match, with a group of people who got organised, communicate and coordinate, with the sole goal of harassing you, is on the same level.
Infact the percentage of games which don't have Survivors trying to harass the Killer is probably in the single digits and it's nothing short of a disgrace that Behaviour isn't doing way more to combat toxicity.
This is indeed caring too much about a videogame

Ah yes. Break the many pallets while Survivors do the many gens and run to the many unbroken pallets so you can break more many pallets instead of getting many hits and hooks!
Perfectly balanced! As long as you think Balance = Never hitting Survivors.
Talking about The Game? Unless you are playing it terribly thats far from being true

You'll have to argument that because, beside against a couple of killers, I find them very survivor sided.
Its only survivor sided if they killer player doesn't know how to run it
RPD uses the same logic as The Game but much worse. Barely any safe loops, once the pallets are gone the whole map is a dead zone. The gen spread is atrocious, if 2 gens spawn in the lobby its basically GG if the killer has slowdown perks. Even Trapper, considered the worst killer in the game, excels on RPD, one of his best maps.

It's so balanced it has been a survivor offering's favourite (with Red Forest and RPD)
RPD and Dead Dawg Saloon are also one of the most offered maps by survivors
And they are killer sided
-
The Game is one of the most balanced maps in the game
Break the many pallets and the map is a complete dead zone
There are barely any safe windows in the map
-
Okay guys, something new in the game will help 95% of the players
but 5% will abuse it to do bad things
That's why we are not doing it anymore

Yes, SWF is when things get extra bad because people can co-ordinate bringing all the items for a single purpose. That was rather the point. Sometimes it's much worse than what's already a pretty weird mathematical baseline.
Yeah, and there is nothing you can do about it. Balancing the game for SWF is the same as ruining the game for the vast majority of players (solo queue)
-
I suggest you to stop caring too much about a videogame

No.
Sometimes it's much, much faster.
You get a SWF that runs Hyperfocus/Stakeout/Fogwise/PTS with 3x BNPs and send you to The Game, and you literally cannot hook and kill them fast enough.
"SWF"

Maybe the game is simply fundamentally unbalanced. If survivors can complete their main objective in 112.5 seconds if left completely alone, or 150 seconds assuming one is busy at all times, a killer can't be expected to get 12 hooks within 150 seconds.
It doesn't happen like that everytime

Maybe you are not up to high MMR

Why stop there Midwich and Dead Dawg are killer sided, nerf them, you know for balance. you nerf a survivor sided map nerf a killer sided map.

You give them to the Trapper.
The OG killer keeps the OG themes.
But Trapper having 6 chase music? Thats lame

Not every map needs to be killer sided

If they keep giving existing killers new chase music, what happens eventually with the original 6 generic themes?

Why are you actively playing a game when you know you have an unstable connection or pc... you're just ruining it for yourself with either lag or hitches and no one likes either of those. The only valid one seems to be an emergency which you should still get punished for because even though it wasn't your fault its what you agreed to when you bought the game and those are hard stuck rules not like talking to your boss and they understand.
That's gatekeeping and it shouldn't be taken seriously in the first place because this is not a competitive game
It's supposed to be played to have fun

And other have elaborated the options those people then would have:
Dc-> increasing time out penalty
Afk -> needs a kick after a minute + leaver penalty
Sandbagging etc. -> report followed by ban.
Aka consequences for those people. But i get it you don't care. Then maybe stop caring that people like me want to punish those people for their selfish actions and if they leave the game, better for the rest that has the guts to push through.
You don't want to punish selfish people
You want to punish people with bad internet, crashing PC, having to be AFK due to an emergency, etc

Other games have either refill or rejoin mechanics or punish quitter without exception.
DBD doesn't have any of the first two and survivor only can circumvent the penalty by hook suicide, the thing that this thread is complaining about.
Like people already pointed out, if the survivors want to quit but don't want to DC, and if they can't hook suicide, they will just throw the match.
I much rather see people quitting than staying in the game giving me a false sense of winning. I don't want to waste my time with hopeless games. But that is just me.

Boil Over springs to mind, as does Monstrous Shrine. Probably Flip-Flop and Breakout as well.
Well, these are fine if they are inserted in the right build.
I am talking about actual bad perks. Half the perks in the game are barely used and almost useless.

Poor Oppression might as well get deleted at that point.
Just rework Oppression too
Remove the cooldown, done
-
Ruin deserves a rework
-Not a hex anymore
-Once a survivor is put on a hook all gens start regressing at 150% speed
Done, decent perk that also kinda counters the kick meta

Then why play multiplayer games in the first place when you cont care?
I wouldn't want you in my games when you don't care enough to stick around and quit at any personal inconvenience.
And if people don't want to play a certain scenario, that they KNOW can happen in any given match, then they shouldn't queue up in the first place. Multiplayer team games aren't made for cherry picking and leaving at the slightest inconvenience.
And I call BS on your claim that there wouldn't be a butt load of ragequit disconnects when they games would be "balanced".
R6S, overwatch, rocket league, league of legends... All balanced and still riddled with ragequitters of not for their respective leaver penalties.
People want to cherry pick their matches? Then they can take the boot if they ditch.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3308301#Comment_3308301
This, this and a thousand times THIS.
Why play multiplayer games? Because I want to and because it's fun
And also, you basically already said every multiplayer game has DCs. So why with DBD would be any different?
-
@Firellius said:

That's not really going to be an option, since some perks are very unhealthy for the game.
Which ones?

@Akumakaji said:

So if you get downed as the first person sub 1min into the game, everyone should give the match a chance to bloom. 9/10 DCs after a first fast down aren't people who "fear an unbalanced camping session", they just rage quit, and that will happen with the most balanced of games.
But there is still a difference between a rage quitter and a hook suicided: a rage quitter is just gone, a hook suicided can be unhooked and often this is enough to persuade them to stay in the game, if just a little bit longer.
I will not force anyone to play a game that they don't want to. If they want to leave, so be it. I never unhook someone that is attempting unhooks and not pressing the skill checks during the struggle. You know what I do? If there are 5 gens left, I find the killer and do exactly the same, because this is just a game. Who cares? My life is not gonna change because I lost in a videogame.
Caring too much about a game is beyond my comprehension if being very honest right now. I think people need to chill more. If you want to be upset, okay, but my suggestion is just to try not to. I promise it will feel better.

Get real. There are literally players that will ragequit just because they got blinded during pickup/pallet stun, or because they went down first, or whatever other stupid reason.
Since I started playing the game (more than a year ago) the DCs and suicides are way more common now than before
So what changed? Something must have changed, right?
Since the "meta shake up" it has been incredibly easy for killers to tunnel and camp, with almost no counter at all
Make tunnel and camping hard to do, and I swear to you people will DC less
-
@Akumakaji said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3308257#Comment_3308257
This is not true, either. You can play Trapper on the Eyrie, if you manage to down a survivor in the first 30s of the game, there is a good chance that they will DC, and this got nothing to do with any balance issues, in this case it would be pure rage quit.
Like I said, if the game was balanced
which means if the survivor player could not expect a tunnel or a camp at all, I am pretty sure the chances of a DC/suicide will be lower

It’s cute you think that those are the only situations people will hook suicide in.

And here we go, someone gladly outing themselves.
It happens, what can you do? The survivor hook suiciding or actually DCing, the outcome will remain the same for you. I don't know why bother so much about it. It's just a game. Finish the match and move on.
Thats what I do. Never in a million years I will be upset about a kids game

M&K is too easy. Skill checks should be made smaller on pc so it would be more equal between console and pc.
No because people have different keyboards, mouses and PC stats. Every single PC player will have a different experience playing the game
Console is console, it should be the same for all.
-
Too much hustle for a simple game like this
"meta" should be gone by buffing AAAAAAAAAAAAALL perks, making every single perk as strong as the strongest ones right now
-
If the game was balanced people would not hook suicide

If it could be used unlimited times swf could just abuse it using kindred and open-handed to get 24/7 aura reading on the killer at all times like old object of obsession, but in a zone. Easily making areas into unmindgameable tiles where the survivor can waste exceedingly amount of times because even when they do moonwalking or any fancy nonsense it doesn't stop aura reading its ridiculously easy to loop tiles when you see the killers aura basically like an open tile. So good luck huntress if you are on a high tile that you need to mindgame to get a hit you are going to have to run around that loop 10 times to get bloodlust 3 or simply leave making it all just a waste of time.
That is just one possible combo that could be done not only that, but it could potentially be used as a troll perk, but I think that could be easily fixed by allowing someone to give up or get rid of the effect. People like to throw shade on kindred and open-handed. Still, it's easily the most useful information perk survivors have to offer, and the best part is on small maps it can literally be a free object without needing other survivors to be revealed.
On a map like midwich people could easily abuse this by standing under the hooked survivor, and honestly, the aura revealing is massive, absolutely massive 32 meters, in fact, nearly half the map on a map like midwich. Yeah, it may be a few maps that this could be abused, but it's similar to boil over, where it was awful, and bully squads would abuse the heck out of it.
You might not care about this, but many others do making reassurance infinite would be the worst thing ever cause of just how abusable it could be in certain situations just like boil over. Like, I was joking with my swf when I showed them kindred open-handed the first time on a small map like what if I brought reassurance and just made them into a motion detector lol and honestly, it may not be busted with the current reassurance, but old reassurance it could have been overpowered as all heck to all, but stealth killers.
1 survivor permanent on hook whilst you can chase down others?
Sounds like a buff to killers to me

Then people should not lie to themselves, its not playing to have fun
-
If you are playing a game just to have fun, why getting a kill is so important then?
-
As a survivor main, I agree
Chances of a 3-gen happening gonna drop drastically
Hexes will be almost useless
Everybody will hide at the beginning of the game and the killer will just waste time looking around
Sounds fun

Gotta love the solo queue moments when you use Reassurance whilst every teammate is injured but they rescue the survivor just 2 seconds after anyways

No.
When I went for Adept Myers, I had to keep slugging, because the last 2 Survivors would alternate immersing and saving each other while I hunted.
Basically
- I'd down someone, I'd go hunting.
- Other player would get them up. They'd hide while I downed other player.
- I'd go hunting for the first guy.
- First guy would get second guy up. Second guy would hide.
- I'd down first guy. I'd go hunting.
- Second guy would get first guy up. First guy would hide. I'd down second guy.
Neither of them was going for gates.
Why should I have gotten punished with free self-pickups?
I already made a good fix to troll-slugging, and got told no, so.. 🤷♂️
Well, too bad
-
I need Unbreakable basekit when there are 2 survivors left
-
I need to watch this lol
