Bug reports go here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bugs
I'm not going to waste my time making bug reports when they're never acknowledged (and mine are usually deleted, despite the fact it's not a dupe of another report). As well as that, making a bug report using support doesn't do LITERALLY ANYTHING as they just give a cookie cutter answer and do nothing. For example, I sent a ticket to support numerous times about being unable to play the game because the survivors kept soft-locking on the hook (giving me a long DC penalty), and they gave me a cookie-cutter answer and closed the ticket every time I made one.

I'd like to point out that Behaviour Interactive's estimated annual revenue is currently $113.1 million per year.
And they don't want to hire more people who "don't get their way of doing things" per King's interview with Mcote.
Do you think this is still a small gaming company that's doing its best?
It feels like they're milking this thing for all its worth and people keep throwing money at the company hoping that their contribution will magically get the devs to fix the game.
Take a look at this list of bugs and issues.
Think about your own issues you have with the game.
Don't you think millions of dollars should be enough money to hire more people to at least get the bugs out of the game?
This.
And to everyone that keeps saying that "Oh, why don't you just fix those bugs in the Unreal Engine yourself if you think it's so easy?", I DON'T RUN A MILLION DOLLAR COMPANY. And, as well as that, they have obvious points to look towards and find the issue: Some of the bugs happened this patch, so they can already narrow those down to an action taken when this patch was released and just have to take a few days to look into this issue. The difference between a few days to fix bugs from this patch and a few YEARS to fix bugs that have been around forever? They didn't look into it when they started occurring (Like they should've done in the first place), so they can't easily isolate where the issue started like I just did in 10 seconds by using my brain. KEEP IN MIND, THEY HAVE EMPLOYEES THAT PROGRAM FOR A LIVING (I hope); Have them work on something OTHER than new content for a change, and focus on finding the source of these issues so they can't constantly repeat them and make them even more broken (like they have been doing for years now). I'm sure NOBODY at this point cares how long it takes, as long as we get confirmation they're actually WORKING on finding the issues and get LESS BUGS than MORE BUGS in future patches rather than completely ignoring both the bugs and the community complaining about them.

Why does everyone say Nurse is good on the new map? Because she isnt. Half of the map is a blink deadzone, and the basement is pointing inwards, meaning a tiny little mistake (easy on these ######### servers) puts you in the cellar. Its an absolute nightmare.
I've only really experienced that when I'm directly above the stairs and I'm trying to get to the first floor, as you have to play the new map like it's The Game (don't ever think of blinking downwards). The only places I view as a deadzone are the hallways with goop, and the corner of the courtyard with two pallets (Because no).

You used to be able to click profiles at the end of a match, now you cannot. Neither killers nor survivors can be checked in the scoreboard after the game. I don't care as much about checking profiles before the match starts anyway.
I know... I’m talking about the post-game scoreboard. They added an option in options to view the match details while in the post-game scoreboard, but it doesn’t show you the killer’s profile.
-
@Huff said:

And why don't you?
Because it doesn’t give you an option to; you can only look at people through match details in post-game, and that doesn’t show the killer.
-
I'm also adding the fact Quit Game isn't working right, and sometimes the Leave Match button doesn't either.

It's still a thing, if the window in the middle is open it becomes a fun bus. The window at the end of the bus is fine.
It's MUCH more counterable than it was before is my point; It was only called fun bus because it had no counter and was frustrating.
-
The fun bus isn't a thing anymore because it was labled that way in the early days of the game.
- The fun bus used to always have two open vaults and a pallet.
- You could fast vault while standing still at the windows.
- You could throw down the pallet at any time, and it took the killer so much time to break that you could just go to the other side of the bus.
The new fun bus is just kinda... Meh

Almost every match I feel like DBD is testing me while pairing me up with lesser skilled teammates😒.
Like I've said numerous times in other discussions about hook suicides, there's a difference between throwing right when you're downed or just seeing a certain killer because you don't want to play against it and hook suicide because your teammates are trash. The majority of survivors I see committing suicide on the hook is immediately when they're put on a hook (sometimes maybe a minute into the game) and the rest of the survivors giving up at that point.
-
I can hardly play the game as a Nurse because a lot of people just suicide on the first hook when they find out I'm not trash. At this point, I'm used to black pipping every other game and survivors just trolling because they don't care about the game when their teammate is a butt and throws.

I've been having these bugs:
Been having survivors stutter/glitch when trying to rescue another survivor. I've seen it while being rescued and as auras of other survivors using Kindred.
When killer has been hooking survivors the game will freeze for couple seconds like it's going to disconnect. Confirmed this happened with someone else on my team that it froze for them too so wasn't my connection.
Killers footsteps not making sounds.
When starting on a generator all sounds are quiet until I mess up a skill check then sounds work normal.
I’ve experienced gens not having any sounds myself, but I wanted to make sure I wasn’t the only one before I added it. I’ve also encountered hook glitches, and teleporting around the map.

The new map is easy to win on until main survivors learn it. Mark my words.
On every killer but Nurse it’s already a mess for both sides, as there are only 3 entrances to the second floor (and breaking the doors to get to the second floor benefits survivors more than the killer). It doesn’t matter if it’s easy, what matters is that it’s boring, buggy, small, and frustratingly bad.

I actually figured this out myself, along with Zubat when we played against each other. Nurse is absolutely horrible on the new map. Deadzones everwhere, the basement is pointing inwards, so if you make a slight blinking mistake, you instantly go into the cellar, even if you started on the second floor, the map lags even worse than new Lerys, Ormond, and Red Forest combined, which makes 360s her extremely easy, etc etc.
It’s horrible because of the buggy deadzones, not really much for any of the other reasons (other than not being able to hear jack when a survivor goes into an adjacent room). I was able to blink from the basement right up to a survivor using BBQ (because the map is too small) and chained downs until I won. It’s just frustrating because of the bugs.

its because on your screen they are in front of you, on their screen, they are 8 meters away.
This as well. I’ve had so many streamers suicide or act extremely confused because on their screen they weren’t possibly in range for the lunge, but it’s probably the servers being inconsistent about her lunge (I believe only her short lunge plays, even if you do a long lunge).
-
Nurse needed her nerf. What they promised would be done is rework her broken add-ons and that’s it, but they added the cool down and sparked a lot of deserved hate. Personally? I still have NO problems at all with her cool down, but it should’ve been discussed by the community and given time to sink in instead of just randomly nerfing her base kit and confusing literally everyone.
However, I can’t think of a way they could’ve made Nurse take more skill other than increasing her chain blink fatigue multiplier from +1 seconds to +1.5. I’m fine with the change they made because it makes Nurse take more skill, and whoever thought Nurse took insane skill with no cool down before the rework was insane themselves (since all you needed was muscle memory and basic practice). Skilled Nurses like myself don’t need add-ons to still do extremely well (no flexing intended).
HOWEVER, CONSOLE HAVING THE NERF IS OVERKILL. Console Nurses have it way harder, and I give respect out to ones who deal with that bull.

Well I'm happy for you that you can switch between killers and be fine. Most people however, are not that good with the entire cast and would like to attempt to have fun with them and not just be the clown for 4 people to wail on. I cannot stress how this game is already wobbly and abusive at the best of times, it's really really bad when you're trying to learn a killer outside of like yellow or green ranks.
@RockoRango said:
No, because if you did this (Like they're going to do with MMR, which is why I'm likely to leave the game after it comes in) it would pit (only) the highest-ranked killers against (only) the highest-ranked survivors.
For example: I play Nurse at Rank 1, but if killers are separated (or MMR ruins the fun) I will only be put up against the highest-ranked people in the entire game (and they will only be put up against Nurses). I don't play this game to sweat and try-hard every game I get into, so I will leave the game (and so will the survivors because they don't want to play against Nurse every game).
You'd be killing the game for veterans and making the game more bearable for new players. It's a huge trade.

@coppersly the nurse's only weakness is simply the nurse messing up and anecdotal evidence isn't going to change my mind
you obviously don't loop her like a regular m1 but the problem is her counterplay is almost useless against a good nurse. Sitting at corners, being unpredictable, los break, it's all irrelevant when the nurse knows how to be a reactive blinker and not take unnecessary risks, allowing for outplays
blink to corners, know when to eat the shorter fatigue, when to follow scratches and not blink after them etc. that's all it takes and suddenly her counterplay is not doing much at all
personally, i hate what bhvr did to her. old nurse could still be beaten by an organised team which is the whole point of an asymmetrical game. the many coming together to beat the 1. but i get it cos dang if she wasn't boring in a chase and quite frankly the chase is all i care about when im on either side
fix her bugs and make her addons not useless but i think her power is fine as is
Nurse doesn't need add-ons. Period. I would trade having the base kit back if the ability to use add-ons was disabled NOT because she's weak but because she's UNFUN TO LEARN. I constantly get 4ks as Nurse and I stream it, but the only reason I'm as good as Nurse as I am right now is because I learned her before there was a ridiculous cooldown that, like many others have rightfully said, does NOTHING to nerf her power for people that already knew how to play her and makes learning her so stupidly SLOW and ANNOYING that no one wants to anymore. It was a nerf to new players and an annoyance to veteran players, and reworking her again in some way to make that not the case is the right move.

I main Nurse, I use no add ons so they can't be a problem. It happens with other killers aswell, but I just prefer nurse. I simply pick someone up, put them on the hook, and there seems to be like a 50/50 chance the game soft-locks and forces me to DC. When the survivor gets stuck like this I can't blink OR do ANY other actions, so I'm completely gimped.

The game probably should have some kind of timer at the 30 minute mark (maybe 20?) Where the game just ends
Ironically, that's shorter than the DC bans that I'm racking up.
Lemme just bump this, because I'm once again facing hour bans because I CANNOT PLAY THE GAME. I contact support, and they give me the same cookie-cutter response they did half a year ago so I'm forced to spread awareness through the forums.

The devs won't remove DC penalties because EVERYONE DC'd back before they were implemented. It was killing the game.
I agree, but I wish there was a way for the match to notice something was wrong and halt the game. Sort of like what they did with not enough people joining, if an error occurs that stops the survivor from entering the hook phase it should boot everyone out of the game instead of soft-locking it AT THE VERY LEAST. This has been around for far too long, and I've made support tickets about it dating back 5 months ago with the only response being that they've sent it to the team.

They've said multiple times before that they won't be giving anyone else legacy, because they want it to be special to the people that have it.
A shame I never got mine, but it's almost impossible to prove I p1'd trapper before the rework so I just deal with it.
-
I think the question you're meaning to ask is: How is this fun?
Because it's not fun, yet this is technically how Freddy was designed. Now, knowing the balancing team like we do, we can't tell if this was intended or an oversight (having an OoB team against Freddy resulting in infinite OoB) but we CAN say that it is NOT fun to play against. Talking 'fair' is a whole other different story, and unless you want to spark a flame war I suggest you don't talk about that.

Good. There was a definite desync element going on where survivors were making frame perfect jukes on blink release for a week. Only explanation I could come up with in my head was desync between survivor animation on my end and where they actually were on the server end. I haven't had a chance to play her yet, but I trust those that are reporting positive things here.
Yeah, it felt like it was all dedicated servers holding her back from being... Nurse. In fact, the speed buff I'm thinking of may have not even been a buff, but a bug that made her blinks go slower than intended being fixed. But I'm seeing myself being able to play Nurse and ENJOY IT LIKE BEFORE, instead of it being an absolute abysmal experience. I even blinked onto the second floor of a house on Haddonfield in the right spot! Now that's p r o g r a m m i n g
-
As well as that, it seems they might've given her a shadow buff; her blinks seem to go faster, and don't feel sluggish anymore. I don't know if it's just from the killer's POV, but I can definitely feel the difference.

I'd say that if you are patient enough, I think she is worth learning. I started learning her around 1 month ago, I'm finally starting to get decent, even if I have much more to learn about her, but I discovered a killer ultra fun to play. She feels really rewarding, guessing is a part of her gameplay I like too. I'd say the only problem is that she has a lot of bugs.
Wait until you get players that actually know how to play against Nurse, and you have to change your strategy constantly to get them by surprise. It's easy after a long time of studying how survivors move versus a Nurse, but you'll be bullied until you do.
Playing Nurse is like playing a championship game of Chess; you constantly need to think up strategies on the fly based on how your opponent moves to win. While someone who loves Chess will also love Nurse, you can't play her in long stretches because it becomes too mentally tiring to do so without taking a break.

What about Oni's map that is STILL:
- Way too dark
- Extremely hard to play on as killer
- Has gens that are WAY too spread out
- Is still broke for Nurse
- Has objects with invisible barriers sticking out of them

Then with a 2060 you should average more fps that's what I'm getting at even with AA, tweak each setting individually in the gameusersettings, I had crap fps before I tweaked it and now everything is on ultra but game effects and VSYNC is off and I get really smooth fps otherwise it might be worth reinstalling, I'm really shocked that your 2060 achieve less than my 980 :(
It's because of the poor optimization of the game at the moment, as my parts are fairly new and are cooled to a chilly 30-60c. I've been playing since 2016, and I've always disabled VSYNC and AA to get a good experience (and I still do, I play at 141 with GSYNC on). However, I'm getting WAY under that on some maps now as well as my fps being unstable half the time.

What settings are you playing the game + resolution? Game effect if you out it on 1 will give you around 20 FPS the rest can be at 3. If your monitor is 4K maybe that's why you getting low FPS because I get 80+ on ultra at 1080p
I play at 1080p as I think anything more is overkill (I'm not rich).
