  • Hello, when you want to report a bug, please check the bug report section (https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bugs) to see if it has been reported already and upvote it, otherwise open a new report following the guidelines.

  • If you follow the correct procedure, reporting in-game and then opening a ticket on the support website, giving all the information and evidence needed, they will definitely act.

You can find information about the game rules and how to collect your evidence in this section: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/game-rules

  • Due to OP's behavior and their continuously insulting other users for their different opinion, we decided to close this thread.

  • It's a known issue, mentioned in the patch notes:

  • If you encounter a bug, please check if it's been reported already in this section: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bugs

If it is, upvote the report, otherwise open a new one following the guidelines.

  • I think the silliest one I got was this Spirit who slugged me to death, nodding at me the entire time.

In the post game chat they told me I was being toxic for bringing a map offering - which I didn't bring - and Iron Will - which I didn't have.

It was a fun moment, not gonna lie.

  • Lately I've been using a lot of Blight, so I'd say my favorite outfit at the moment is this one:

  • This thread has reached the end of its course, due to OP continuously insulting other people's opinion.

For these reasons we decided to close it.

    There can be some tells.

Probably the most 100% indisputable evidence they’re SWF is when using Franklins, and quickly returning to a dropped item to see a different survivor attempting to retrieve it.

I never run Franklin's, so that's harder for me to tell lol

and a little question: how did you get that backround on your threats?

I believe you mean "threads", so to answer to that, that's the background we moderators have.

About the rest, there's a difference between discussing and arguing, so please keep the tones civil.

  • To be honest most of the times I can't even tell if a group is swf or not, I think in general we have to expect to have bad games from time to time.

There are fun and unfun players at every rank, in every role, swf or solo, I don't think you can just generalize.

Also to be fair I don't check profiles and most of the times I don't even pay attention to the names in the lobby, I usually select my offerings/addons/perks, press ready and tab out until the game starts.

  • I want to specify that those numbers have been taken with active challenges only, I suggest to take them as they are without jumping to conclusions.

It's a way to celebrate the one year of the Archives, nothing more, nothing less.

  • That's not hacking, it's probably just a visual bug of the UI and the next popped gen probably changed the total number of gens from 5 to 3.

  • If you suspect someone is using hacks, please do report them.

Keep in mind to record your match, report in game and open a ticket on the support website (https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us), attaching the video proof you collected and all the offender's information.

If you need any more information about it, you can find it here:

  • This thread has been going on long enough, we want to reiterate that people's names are related to their specific platforms, if you have issues with them, please report them to the platforms themselves.

  • Since this thread is getting a bit too tense and to avoid more issues, we decided to close it.

I want to point out a couple of things tho, the Community Team's priority is the community, the playerbase and the movements you described in your thread influence the community, so it's normal the Team wants to show support to them in any way possible.

This doesn't take priority over the bug fixes and gameplay improvements that, and i want this to be completely clear, are NOT done by the Community Team, we do not work on the code, we do not program stuff, we do not balance perks.

I am saddened that my message came out as I want to "destroy" my opponents. I am convinced, it's on me that I can't express my issue.

    But thank you Rizzo <3

Oh don't worry, mine was an exaggeration to explain my point.

Just keep in mind you can learn from better players, that's what I was trying to explain with my post, there are people with thousands of hours that still have issues with loops from both sides, it happens, we all learn at a different pace.

    in xxx Comment by Rizzo
  • I understand the frustration of facing way superior players, it can be overwhelming, but at the same time that's how you really improve; if you only face players you destroy every single time or as you suggested an AI that can be easily read and exploited, how can you get better?

If you really want to improve your gameplay, forget about ranks (there are good and bad players at any rank), watch better players, mimic and try to do what they do to outplay their opponents, put it into practice in those games you are currently playing, don't expect the game to become easier for you, because that's not how you get better.

Also another advice would be to play both sides, equally and consistently, try to see what the opponent sees and learn to take advantage of your knowledge.

@Rizzo90 You changed the wording of my post to 'rift', when it's really about the Tome. I don't want to override your change but I feel that this sends the wrong message about the content of the post. Can I change it?

    I changed it for you.

  • I want to point out that perks are not toxic, they are part of the game and people can use them as much as they want.

You might not like some of them, but there's nothing wrong with running perks.

There just should be two simple changes to improve bans.

    1) Relieve the witness from the burden of proof. Seriously, it´s inappropriate and and a chore to demand that customers record all of their gameplay to do the ban teams job for them. Given the level of optimisation DBD has I´d imagine many people can´t even afford that without setting their hardware literally on fire. Why does EAC even exist when it does nothing?

    2) Give feedback to the witness when their submission resulted in a ban. Of course experiences differ, but I reported some people for the most heinous post game chats, the whole package, and....nothing. This gives off the impression that nothing you could write in-game could ever get you banned.

Without proof, how can you determine if the report is legit or fake?

And about the rest, keep in mind temporary bans don't show up on their profile, so the people you reported might have been banned for 24/48 hours without you knowing it.

  • Looping and the chases in general are what I like the most about the game.

When you are facing a good killer as a survivor or a good survivor as killer and you try to mindgame one another at loops, that's what keeps me interested in the game and keeps me playing.

Nothing is more boring to me than stealth gameplay.

  • Reports do work and do lead to punishments if they are done properly, but if you refuse to follow the procedure and you just assume they won't take action anyway, that will just make the process harder and the hackers will not get punished.

You can find all the information about game rules and how to collect evidence in this section of the forum: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/game-rules

When I report a hacker I found 3 ways to do it,in-game,their steam profile, and submit a ticket with video,or photo proof, not everyone likes to spend their time to do this after facing hackers, but for the ones they do,I hope they will at least get their reports taken seriously and not just waste their time,I only report someone when i'm 100% sure and also have video proof.

Just to be clear, for hacking reports you need video evidence, photo proof is not enough.

That said, they surely get taken seriously.

  • Play the way you want, use the perks and addons you want, don't let others tell you how to play, you make your own playstyle after all.

  • Hackers, just like any other player who breaks the game rules, do get banned.

Please be sure to follow the right procedure when you report hackers, which means reporting in game and opening a ticket on the support website (https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us) attaching video evidence and all the required information.

Keep in mind the team receives a lot of reports and all of them have to be checked, so it might take some time for your report to get solved.

  • Please keep the discussion civil and respectful, only because OP has a different opinion from you, it doesn't mean it's bait or they are trolling, maybe they just have a different opinion.

  • My condolences, stay strong. ❤️

  • I want to remind everyone that DCing, like any other unsportsmanlike conduct, is against the game rules, so please avoid encouraging or advocating for it.

That said, due to the amount of posts advocating for DCing or attacking other people for different opinions, I decided to close the thread.

  • Those were clarifications about the terminology used, it's not something that has been changed on the PTB, it has always been like that.

  • This thread has been derailed and became a targeted attack to a developer, for this reason we decided to close it.

  • Closed as OP asked

  • Hello, to report a bug please check this section: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bugs

If your bug has already been reported, just upvote it, otherwise report it following the guidelines.

  • Hello, to properly report a bug, please check this section https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bugs , if your bug has already been reported, upvote it, otherwise you can file a report following the guidelines.

  • Since OP keeps insulting and attacking whoever shares a different opinion, I decided to close this thread.

  • I decided to close this thread since OP is attacking and insulting everyone who's telling them that not every PC player is a cheater.

I want to emphasize this: only because a player is better than you, it doesn't mean they are cheating, also the fact that you faced a cheater doesn't automatically make every other player from that platform a cheater.

  • If you have issues with that, please contact support here: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us

  • Please keep the discussion civil and respectful, thank you.

  • Please try to keep the discussion civil and respectful, no need to attack other users over a different opinion.

  • As Not_Queen mentioned during the last Around the Campfire stream, the hill bug is gonna be fixed with the next patch.

For now try to avoid running too close to the right part of the ramp of the hill.

  • When you report someone for hacking, you also need to send video evidence to support (https://support.deadbydaylight.com/) to show what happened, also to send the offender's information.

You can find the information you need here:

Hello, good people of the fog!

We now have a team Associate Community Managers, as well as an updated in-game report system.
With your help, we will be able to find the players who are creating a bad game experience and punish them appropriately, making the game a better place.

    HOW TO REPORT A PLAYER

You may only report things that happen directly to you or in a game that you were in.
Reporting for other people is not allowed and these reports will be discarded.
(ie. Reporting someone on behalf of a friend, streamer, or other)

    Fill the In-game report

An In-game report MUST be made. This is not optional, and is a must to help us identify the person in your game as well as find any other evidence we need.

    Customer Support ticket?

    • Video evidence is required or heavily suggested for some offenses, please refer to the lists below.
    • Whilst you can report offenses directly to our support, please only do so for serious offenses like cheating, hacking, DOX/death threats.

    24h -> 48h -> 1w -> Permanent

This is a sliding scale and determined on a case-by-case basis. If an offense is considered to be particularly egregious, the duration of the ban may skip one or more steps in this process.

If the ban is an automated EAC ban, please contact EAC directly. https://www.easy.ac/en-us/support/game/contact/appeal/

    Console bans

The rules are the same as the PC bans

    Crossplatform ban evasion

Players who have violated our rules multiple times leading to permanent bans could get their access revoked on any accounts they make if the player is seen committing bannable offenses after the very first permanent ban. The structure and severity of these bans are followed throughout any platform.

    Abuse of Support Services

This includes making false support tickets and lying to support agents. Our agents are always here to help the community. However, those making false tickets just to get a step ahead of everyone else and take advantage hinders our ability to better help everyone. Penalties include suspension of your support services, up to a permanent ban of your in-game account.

  • Since OP constantly called people names only because they weren't agreeing with them and others decided to resort to insults to prove their points, I decided to close this discussion.

It's a new account trolling for a rise about fnaf. Probably best to just close/delete the thread.

This is not up to you to decide, people are allowed to share their ideas.

  • Please keep the discussion civil and respectful, no need to attack one another over a different opinion.

  • Please keep it civil and respectful.

  • Purtroppo si tratta di un errore che affligge parecchie persone, il team sta lavorando ad una soluzione e speriamo che venga sistemato il più presto possibile.

  • As people already mentioned, we have nothing to do with what people say on their stream, you can report them to the streaming platform if you want, but this is definitely not the place to publicly attack them, so please avoid it, thank you.
