At the very least, survivors should have a communication wheel. Creating perks to solve the problem of not being able to coordinate effectively, such as Kindred, Bond, Situational Awareness, etc, means other perks won't be used as much in soloq because they would be sacrificing coordination (something that should just be basekit, especially since swf players essentially get this information for free).

I never had this issue with other games that use EAC though, Ive only had this issue with DBD.
Same actually, so it must be something else but I'm not what.

I think it has to do with the anti-cheat system. You can't even use nvidia filter fullscreen without first going to windowed mode due to the anti-cheat software.
-
I don't use gen slow down perks unless I play Trapper or Hag, then I may use corrupt.

I think sometimes comments are removed for the mods to check if you have less than a certain amount of posts and edit a comment or comment too fast. At least I recall it happening to me a lot too.

This is the best stealth outfit for sure ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I don't know how to feel about this

It is certainly as dark as he can get currently. I use the scarecrow mask with the rift outfit since the scarecrow Ghostface design is my favorite among the costumes and it is the closest I can get to it within the game.

Hey, maiden also works well on Doc, guarantees everyone can't avoid your shock
For sure! It's also cool how the same perk can have different uses for a killer depending on how it synergizes with them. For Huntress and Trickster, the reloads are quicker and for Doctor, he will always gain the information in the area of the blast no matter what.

Where’s the dignity in just killing bots?? Isint it more rewarding to down actual players rather then some fixated NPC? Where is this game going?
Having options is always a good thing. Sometimes people don't want to feel stressed from versing actual players. Maybe they had a bad day or something and just want a more casual experience. Some players just want to practice before an actual player match for training or to loosen up after having not played for a while. And maybe some just like versing bots more in general for fun like how people did in Friday the 13th the Game. Everyone has different reasons for playing the gamemodes they want to, everyone has different preferences in general, and I think that's great.

You are a braver survivor than I. I would never run empathetic connection with randoms because I would be 100% certain of getting chases dropped onto me whilst doing gens.
It's why I also run it with Empathy: I know where they are and they know where I am so we can coordinate where the chases are and what to do. I could help take a hit, take cover before they get to where I am, or if they arent in chase then it makes it easier for us to run towards each other and heal. It has been very helpful for me personally. And both Kindred and Situational Awareness helps me and my team with information so we can coordinate even better. Obviously it doesn't always work out, but I've noticed overall that my team efficiency and performance has improved. However, these should just be soloq communication buffs anyway.

The build I run on Pinhead has Jolt and thats it for gen regression (Lethal, Hoarder, Jolt, and NWO). People generally dont even know I have it when they give up. I am almost certain its because the chain hunt is triggered early and they go down before it stops, meaning little to no gens have been done.
Well, like Pulsar stated, the chain hunt is very oppressive against soloq players with no communication. That's not your fault though, BHVR should have released soloq buffs quite a time ago. Its the reason my main build is Empathic Connection, Empathy, Kindred and Situational Awareness just so I can try and coordinate with my other teammates. Just keep playing and doing your best as you have and you will most likely be put into better matches for you to learn from.

"but don't act surprised some people don't share your opinion."
I'm gonna act surprised when this hasn't been brought up AT ALL in the 5 years that I've been playing this game and is only now being complained about.
I've seen people complain about offerings not being usable and killers unable to use event add-ons over the course of four years, but they have never been that much of a problem overall because they're complained about like once and then go away for some time. The complaints tend to reemerge around this time actually when the Halloween event ends.
-
It's not your fault for playing him efficiently. All killers have perks that have the most synergy with their power like Bamboozle for Legion or Iron Maiden for Trickster/Huntress, it's what makes them unique. However, if you wanna make it easier for the survivors and help them have fun, you can do what I do and equip no gen regress or blocking perks. It has made my games way more fun personally and I haven't experienced any survivors dcing against me.
-
I would say Kindred for survivor and Agitation for Killer. Kindred helps me a ton as a soloq player and helps the other players too. If you're wondering about Agitation, idk why but it became one of my favorite perks at one point and now I run it on a lot of killers.

I think the cosmetics are a bit pricey given how many of them we have in the game. It also seems like BHVR really wants you to spend money on the dlcs given how long it takes to rack of shards for each individual character or perk in the shrine of secrets. Overall though, the system isn't that bad. Based on the prices, they seem to be assuming that not everyone will want every character or cosmetic so I can understand the price model and they do seem to be cheaper than other games I have played. If they simply allowed for more shards to be awarded per level up in the devotion level and maybe reduced the shard prices, I think that would significantly reduce the grind and feeling of having to spend money for the casual players. I cannot compare this game to Overwatch 2 however as I have not yet played it.

I can excuse the clothes as being a hodge-podge of other survivors he's encountered in his many years in the fog.
I cannot excuse the buzzcut, though. Like, how? Unless he encountered a barber who somehow had access to electricity, I really don't get how that's possible.
Yeah, I can certainly understand the clothes thing due to how long he has been in the Fog, but how does his hair look modern?

All killers have the same weapon hitbox and lunge distance based on the average size who I presume is Trapper. This means someone tall with a long weapon like Oni will look like they lunge shorter or hit shorter, when in actuality they did the same lunge and weapon hit distance as every other killer. This is also why someone like Freddy who is short and has the smallest weapon looks like they lunge further and hit further than they should. So basically, their sizes dont really match what their lunge range should be because they all do the same lunge and hit range when it comes to basic attacks, but it makes sense for gameplay.

Sorry but Set A actually had a strong theme and details in the outfits. Set B was just novelty mall Christmas at best.
Adam and Hillbilly's are by far the weakest. Dress Meg A is more unique than another sporty Meg B. Trickster A strikes more as a Christmas concert outfit while Trickster B is more like mall promo picture. Kate's is a toss up for me. Mikaela and David's are elegant and fitting for the characters. Dredge's is top tier. Yun-Gin's was nice but nothing super note worthy to cause people to lash out and attack fans of the other characters like they did.
Even if I had the choice to swap Kates or switch someone out for Yun-Gin, I wouldn't cause Set A looks like a cohesive set of well designed skins. Taking any of them out (like the Yun-Gin fans have screamed for) wouldn't be cool in the slightest.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3250783#Comment_3250783
Meg and Trickster were in both sets, so they'd get a skin no matter which side won. There has to be some popular (marketing/skin consumption) characters to make the set worth making. They could of done Jeff, Adam, Twins, Ace, Haddie, and Hag on one set which would sell less than a single Feng skin. We were lucky Feng wasn't in both sets to be honest! And we're lucky we got a lot of women and gay males in the community or every event would just be the female cast getting new sexy outfits as well.
I'd rather get a good looking skin for Trickster (tho I'm bias) than 6 hideous and uninspired skins for unpopular characters.
Oh for sure, I'm not even arguing against Set A having better outfits because they definitely did. I just noticed that they put all of the characters that could have used more love in Set B, such as Yun-Jin, Adam, and Billy, and they didn't even bother giving them necessarily great outfits compared to the competition of Set A, so it felt like a no-brainer that Set A was bound to win. I find it unfortunate that we can't always get outfits for people that could use it, but here's to hoping that they do get more and awesome outfits in the future so that we see them more often in the trials. Both sets had good Trickster outfits so either way I was going to eat good with that.

Stealthy Escape: Distortion, Parental Guidance, Dance With Me, and Quick And Quiet.
This build isn't meant to be stealthy all the time but to instead give you many opportunities to escape a chase. It has helped me to lose the killer many times when paired with line of sight blockers.

True. The votes weren't even close.

Trickster. I love his lore and tie-in lore with Yun-Jin Lee. His aesthetic is awesome, the mix of both flashy and brutality is something we have never seen before and it really suits him. And, of course, he is very expressive in chase. I like the way his unique lullaby melody works and his power is one that I enjoy using. All in all, it is really hard for me to have a bad trial when I play as him which is certainly something special to say in an asymmetrical game.
-
I do fine in soloq when I use Kindred, Situational Awareness, Empathy, and Empathic Connection. However, if I need all of these perks just to properly communicate and coordinate with my team, there is a problem.
This clearly displays the need for survivor information among players in order to properly coordinate. In this regard, there is an immense disparity between the coordination performance of swf and soloq players. This is has been addressed many times already, but nothing has been done to solve it as of late.
However, there will always be problems that need fixing, but that definitely does not take away from all of the problems that the devs have fixed that we appreciate greatly. It would just be nice to enhance the experience of the soloq survivors that make up the large majority of the game.
-
Using lockers to replenish traps sounds interesting to me. I think it would also make sense if injured survivors could not escape by themselves if they were caught in traps. Or at the very least make it take longer for injured survivors to escape traps. I don't think maps should be able to locate traps either.
-
I think I do it way too much, but I like to try and help get as many people out as I can unless my challenge is to escape. For me, escaping isn't really a win condition, so I like to have fun in my own way during the trials and helping other survivors out is a part of that.
-
Some people like to treat this game like a competitive game, so they would like any advantage given to one side to be looked into generally. It is undeniable that a higher FOV does give killers the advantage of seeing more on screen, which can remove some line of sight breaking opportunities in chase. However, I think we are looking at this from the wrong scope. While DBD can be competitive, it is more of a party game due to its asymmetrical and unbalanced nature. In this line of thinking, it is much better to think of FOV as an accessibility option (which even most competitive and party games consider as anyway) because certain people have certain tolerance to motion depending on the FOV which can cause motion sickness. Therefore, I think an FOV slider is then more of a quality of life accessibility change than a huge advantage to a certain side. Another example are the color blindness settings. Sure, certain settings can be used to give an advantage to a side in order to see more clearly, but this doesn't make it a competitive setting that should be removed as people need it as an accessibility option to play the game.

Happy forum birthday, Spirit enjoyer 😤
-
Nothing in that description states that the red stain is removed as only the undetectable status effect can do that. If the red stain were removed, then survivors in the dream world for example would not be able to see the Nightmare's red stain, but they do.
-
It'd be a lot less frustrating if we could steal any amount of energy from the killer, not at least 6, and didn't have to deposit the energy into the rift. Most killers will end up chasing and downing the stunner and usually deposit all of their energy.
-
Build 1: Kindred, Situational Awareness, Empathy, and Empathic Connection. Since I play soloq, the auras I receive and give to my fellow survivors help us coordinate quite a bit. Not many killers run blindness so it works quite well for me.
Build 2: Distortion, Parental Guidance, Dance With Me, and Quick And Quiet. This build has helped me escape chases with its stealthiness and can waste the killer's time searching for you if used properly.
Both of these builds put all of your eggs in one basket though if you are okay with that.
-
I want them to extend it personally. I'm having a blast on both sides and gaining tons of bp

As previous answer said, add-ons that increase your throw rate and movement speed are generally great for any situation. Just be wary with the throw rate add-ons that you will have to get used to immediately controlling recoil. Bloody boa is also a great add-on for me as the few extra knives have helped me in many situations. But that could still be more situational than the throw rate and movement speed add-ons.
Be creative with how you loop structures. This will come with practice, but moving differently through structures to throw off survivors and get knife hits through windows and small holes helps a lot.
Don't feel like you have to use Main Event. It can be great to eat through health states, but some situations such as many objects in the way will just slow you down.
-
I haven't noticed anything different personally and I play him almost solely.
-
For me, it is usually easier to find killer matches in the evening. However, it is currently disrupting the flow of my Nemesis games where I write "Hello, we are about to launch an all-out attack on your houze. Sincerely, the Zombies" in the beginning-game chat.

It can't be that easy
As long as you have never activated a trial before using the same information, it is that easy. A trial is just a temporary free experience of the service. They can't force you to buy it after the trial is over or if you cancel afterwards.
The mask is awesome btw. It really enhanced my old main look by a lot:

As long as there is no exploiting, cheating, or teaming going on, I don't see the problem with players playing how they want to as it simply is a part of the game. You can play with your own set of internal rules, but don't expect others to follow them.
-
Trickster. I get a lot of enjoyment out of using his power personally and hearing his personality through his lines and actions as you play is pretty cool.
-
I'm definitely excited for it from the things I have read about Wesker's ability and the new perks. Plus my lore accurate "only survivor left" Yun-Jin build of Left Behind, Sole Survivor, and Self-Preservation is now complete with Low Profile.
-
I don't think his core kit needs to be reworked. His values can be buffed a bit and he'd be in a better state such as slightly faster aim in time, slightly faster reload speed (aiming out and missed shot speeds should remain as they are), and bring his TR back to 24m so he can have that hunter feeling again and can actually reach a location without survivors pre running away so far that he can't reach them. An add-on pass would be nice for him as well.
-
Hey, I had the same addiction once. Literally force yourself to not use it on any killer at all and you'll eventually be used to the feeling without Shadowborn. And yeah, that includes Blight if you can (but I know some are motion sick without it on him so I understand if that cannot be done).
-
This reminds me of when the classic Ghostface outfit came out and you could see the cloth over the arms very clearly and it would somewhat block your screen in stealth mode. Although in this case, it is luckily a very small patch of hair that doesn't block the screen.
-
Information is just that: information. Whether the killer can use the information well depends on the skill of the killer as well as the skill of the survivor. If you use LP and want its secondary effect to work by using another duration aura perk, that is 2 slots or more that you are using just for auras (meaning not many slowdown, chase, or utility perks being used). For some killers, that is a fair trade if they can use all that information well. It is not overtuned at all as there is still a give and take going on and it still synergizes better with some than it does for others just like any other perk.
-
Iron Maiden & Darkness Revealed on Trickster and Huntress. I used to be addicted to Shadowborn on every killer too at one point.
-
I feel that if they simply placed caps on how slow or fast an action can be, then more perks could stand out on their own, unfun combos can be prevented, and Thana wouldn't have been nerfed to where it is only usable by a select couple of killers.
-
Do people want MMR to work properly though? I thought most people preferred MMR to be turned off because they viewed the game as more of a party game than a competitive one. Now I want to see a forum poll discussion of whether they prefer a fully working MMR or none at all.
-
It's an interesting perk that I've always liked for sure and I enjoy its ability to regain stacks now as well. It does feel sucky when you get no use out if it though; However, its stacks also get shredded through quicker than it can be regained I've noticed if the killer is running an entire aura build. But besides me, I don't know many killers that do that. Most bring 1-2 but rarely more and because of that, it is very useful and fun to use if you plan on wanting to stay hidden out of and during chase.
-
I've used this build before, except had Deadlock instead of Shattered Hope and used the more reverse beartrap add-ons. This build is basically about adding more objectives onto survivors to overwhelm them. If they can beat you in chase and finish gens fast, the build loses its value. However, it gets overwhelming if you can place multiple bear traps onto survivors fast and hook them at least once. They will be mainly focused on removing the reverse beartraps and won't focus on the totems as much. This then allows Devour to take advantage of the chaos. So for counters, it fully depends on how well the survivors do in the beginning. They can definitely recover, but it is a lot harder once the build starts going.
-
Deathslinger's is my favorite currently, but Wesker's sounds pretty awesome. If Oni's PTB theme was his live chase music, that'd probably be up there for me as well.
