  • I cant use mori and play seriously . The only time i do when someone brings a key. So vote up here for removing those 2 things from a game.

If you miss - you miss. Auto aim doesn't correct that.

Yes . Its the other way around. If you were suppose to hit survivor auto aim will automatically mess with you camera and you will miss your hit.

  • So does the kills. Git gud issue. Better nerf perks like ds cause 60 seconds is really too long considering how fast gens are getting done and fix auto aim issue.

  • Google it. There are plenty of info on how to . And developers refuse to do something against it. Im pretty sure hackers have no fear at all cause they will just get another account and do the same thing again. I posted a thread lately with pointing out to dbd hacks tutorials etc and got warning for naming and shaming.

I explained myself already. What they were doing, what they said, how coordinated they were from across the map.

You don't have to believe me just because you're a survivor main who's never been hit by this bullshit.

Im not survivor main and i crush swfs regularly but never seen any 4 man swf lately.

Not my first time, SenzuDuck. You seem to take issue with me every time I have something to say in the forums. You're always white knighting for Survivor mains and setting your sights on Killer mains. This was not the first. It was the worst. I was playing as Pig, so it was going to be a suboptimal game to begin with, but stealth became an impossibility. The only time that crouching was a viable option was mindgaming palettes.

It was a shitshow, and I'm tired of giving these devs my money. They only listen to money, and with survivors as 80% of their player base, they'll never listen to killers. How long has Nurse been bugged? How long have Killer sounds been bugged? What about Wraith and flashlight interaction? Or permanent flashlight effects on killers?

But the moment that survivors start to encounter survivor-specific bugs or players can't make transactions, the devs are all over it.

SWF is toxic to the community without proper balancing, but they're never going to balance it because they don't care about anyone except the dedicated survivor base who feeds them with more and more cash.

I had one of the worst, most toxic, abusive matches of my life, and it's the straw that broke the camel's back.

Again you havent even proved that you faced 4 man swf.

How am I putting words in your mouth?

My first response to you was literally me saying: "I can't say if it's a 4-man or not, but I think most people would agree that matchmaking like this isn't very fair:"

You did say "Killers are trying to look like victims again." This isn't 'putting words in your mouth' because that's exactly what you said, and I made the counterpoint "Well, they're not playing victims, because matchmaking is clearly broken and against them at the moment" and provided screenshots as my perspective as survivors as proof of that. Those screen shots are literally what 90% of my games as survivor look like. I barely ever get an actual purple or red rank killer.

Good and strong survivors don't need to be be in a SWF. Especially when the killer is rank 20 and rank 16 respectively. Either way it isn't fair and it's a problem.

It doesn't matter if it's SWF or not because matchmaking is still a problem and to a low rank killer it may as well be a SWF because good survivors, even if they're not in a SWF, generally know how to play (push gens above all else), especially against low ranked killers who clearly doesn't know how to play. The killer is still crushed the same way. So why does it matter specifically if it was a SWF or not when either way the newbie killers are still clearly getting completely curb stomped?

Because the title says 4 man swf. Whenever killers are trying to make something look op it always start with "but 4 man swf" and here op is clearly exaggerating about so called team of 4 man swf which occurs almost like once a year

  • @Reinami said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1161242#Comment_1161242

My OP laid out the case, but imagine this scenario:

You spawn in, survivors hop on a gen within 5 seconds. You start running to the other side of the map where they probably are. Probably takes you around 15 seconds to get there. Survivor hears your TR, starts running, holds W (lets ignore that pallets and windows even exist, all they do is hold w). Takes 40 seconds for the down (remember just assuming holding w). Then you have to pick them up, 3 seconds. Then look for a hook and walk to it, 5-10 seconds, then hook them, 2 seconds. Then look around find your bearings and decide where to go next,1- 2 seconds.

    15 + 40 + 3 + 7 + 2 + 1 = 68

Even if you knew EXACTLY where to go (maybe you have BBQ, or thrilling), by the time you walk there, even with 115% killers 3 gens likely pop. If survivors play with perfect efficiency it is almost guaranteed that 2-3 gens pop on the first hook.

At this point the game is completely downhill. This doesn't factor in everything i said above where if survivors play with perfect efficiency then it will be near impossible for the killer.

Thats not a proof. I can describe the same thing but with killer dominating the game.

  • No. Its important to keep dc timeout meaningless at first attempts so that people wouldnt get punished for crashing.

  • @Reinami said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1161098#Comment_1161098

its not balanced at an optimal level. That's what my entire post is about. Also, i don't expect perfect balance. But i expect that if the devs want a 2K/2E average then they have some work to do.

Where s the proof that its not balanced on optimal level?

  • @TheRockstarKnight said:

I have a friend who lives several states away, so when we play Survivor together she tends to experience more than her share of lag. It doesn't happen that often, but there have been more than a handful of times where she'll be pressing the struggle button and just die anyway thanks to latency.

It's not that big of a deal, but it is annoying and the struggle mechanic itself doesn't provide anything positive to counteract this sentiment.

I mean, what's it supposed to do? Oh joy, I get to mash a button for 30-ish seconds? Oh no, how scary it's the Entity's big spider toe?

There are a few scary things in DBD, but the struggle mechanic is not one of them.

At best it freaks out a brand new player the first time or two they experience it. At worst it annoys them because they're dead before they understand what's even going on. There's simply no reason for struggling as a button mash to exist and plenty of reasons for it to not exist.

I propose Survivors struggle automatically, and hold a button down to give up.

    Use macro.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

But totems are meant to be a hidden resource (or at least it's the concept of it).

I disagree. No totem counter (and I'm a totem destroyer too).

How is it a counter? Solo survivors waste more time trying to find out how many totems left than doing all gens .

  • Im tired of playing for bp it feels like work to me. Having to use bbq in every build so far when it can be useless here and there ie its there only for bp. I d rather concentrate on wining games.

  • The game is balanced on optimal level. You cant expect perfect balance in this genre.

It doesn't matter what it is. The problem is that it's unfair for killers and it's unfun and it is causes new players to not want to play the game and for casual killers to jump ship. Same thing when it was red rank killers getting green/yellow/beige ranked survivors about a year ago.

Good, high rank survivors can be as good as a co-ordinated SWF either way. It's not like voice comms is a requirement.

Well it clearly is not 4 man swf as you would know if it was cause you was there. If its not 4 man swf its not up to discussion here.

Im not saying its a requirement. Its almost like you putting words into my mouth.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/377/MF5A3DSU0WAO.png

You can't claim killers are "playing victim" when the proof is in the pudding, here.

Its the matchmaking fault and not due to 4 man swf.

  • @Oberon said:

    Rank 10 against 2 3s and 2 13s.

I only play on the weekends because I have life during the week. And even then, I don't always have time to play on the weekends.

This happens, and it's driving killers away.

Figures. Dont even know that they were 4 man swf but cries out loud 4 man swf.

Killers are trying to look like victims again.

  • @LetsPlayTogether said:

Where do you people even face swf? Tell me please. It seems like @ to me.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Sadly it is latency. But there are two issues with their latest Stream about this topic:

1st-->They think that 150 Ping is "pretty good Ping". It is not. I mean, even the indicator in the Lobby is yellow, which indicates that the Ping is not "good".

2nd-->They only talked about the Ping of one person (the Survivor) to the Server, but not that the Ping of both players is important. So while you as Survivor might have a Ping of 40 (which is actually a good Ping), the Killer might have a Ping of 200. And this results in these BS-Hits.

(or lets say before Dedicated Servers you saw that you have a Ping of 90 and decided to play that. Now you have a Ping of 90 and the Killer as well, making the difference between you and the Killer a lot bigger)

It is a major flaw that as Survivor you only see your own Ping but not the Ping of the Killer.

Most likely the killer had 30 ms while survivor had 150-180ms. That way you cant see how killer is actually close to you because he moves faster than you.

There is a reason why dead hard is used at the high ranks, people are not afraid of being injured

80 sec to do a gen, 24 sec to heal with self care, 32 if sloppy butcher

you do the math and tell me what is better for the team

but if you dont heal against hag, spirit, nurse then you re wrong .

Lmao what maps are killer sided? Literally almost none, killer has like 2 maps that are slightly in their favor but the rest are survivor sided, some may not be as broken as others but still plenty strong when used correctly by experienced players, you also missed the whole point I was trying to make in the second part but yea okay add no discussion or repelling arguments to my statement. ๐Ÿ˜‚

For me its easier to name survivor sided maps:

Coldwind farm, Yamaoka estate . Thats about it ๐Ÿ˜„

Crotus Asylum bigger map(nurse map) can spawn with pretty good setup for survivors in 1 out 100 games.

  • They are not useless

My impressions of Tofu are that he's just not a competitive type of guy, he's the type of guy that's content with the way things are and doesn't seek for change unless it's negatively affecting him. But as a competitive person you want to be able the have the ability to win any game given enough time and practice sadly Dbd is just not in that state where Killer's can win vs the best survivors, the best survivor perks or the best survivor maps. You have 2 of the 3 previous options and there's no way in hell your pulling off a win in that situation doesn't matter if you're the beat killer in the world or have the most hours. I believe that's where frustrations with this game lay.

LOL . OhTofu is not competitive? Watch how he s analyzing every map and every aspect of a game .

Yeah sure its not enough for killer to 4k on their sided maps they need to 4k on survivor sided as well.

  • @Mellow7 said:

ToXic NaNcy well it's because if you look at any of those games where Otz or Tru3 win in under 6-7 min is because usually but not limited to bad survivors not playing efficiently and usually but not always those games where they do win it's not vs Swf rather 4 solo queued players. You can really tell how experienced a survivor is right off the bat by the way they take pathing and rotate according to the information given to them.

SWF is straight up cheating. So if survivors able to perfrom well only in swf that says much about killers being more powerful.

  • @Eye66 said:

    Well, mr. Toxic.

It's because they are really good players. So it stands out when the game ends that way. Specially when the survivors didn't play well in chases.

And as we all know, stomps on the killer side only happen because the survivors played terribly that round.

If you able to down survivor fast as a killer it doesnt mean you re good . It takes more than that which streamers like True2 lacks.

  • Show me that you re decent at the game and i wont play selfish.

  • Left behind allows me to escape most of the times. You just need to know how to use it.

  • @BadMrFrosty said:

In a post-unbreakable game, survivors have no excuse for losing to a 4-man slug strategy. You have a perk meant to mitigate or negate this kind of pressure, and it has disgusting synergy with decisive strike (60 second invulnerability in lockers), a perk likely used in more than 70% of all games. Most of the survivor-sided maps in the game are still heavily survivor-sided, even if they've seen some minor tweaks here and there. So let's summarize:

    • Most maps that were broken years ago are now just 'overpowered', some having legitimate 'lose points' where if the chase goes there, you either abandon it or lose the game. A 'safe space' in a horror game, if you will.
    • Most of the new perks that are coming out for both sides are either extremely niche, require other perks to be usable, or are just complete garbage.
    • The killers that are being released for the state the game is in, on average, are totally underpowered against more coordinated groups. If it wasn't for new/terrible players in DBD, it would die overnight, as no killer would take a single win off of any survivor team.
    • Camping and tunneling are still two highly effective strategies due to the speed at which generators are completed, and, while not enjoyed by survivors, is almost essential to some degree if a win is desired on the killer's end (especially with ruin being rendered useless, for the most part).
    • Killer variety at red ranks, based on my own experience and those of the few players I watch play this game, is still at an all time low. Same 3 - 4 killers with an oddball thrown in on the rare occasion.

What we all need to understand at this point in DBD's cycle is this: the developers do not wish to create a balanced game where the skill of either side determines the victor, they want to nurture a live service business model filled with cosmetic microtransactions. Survivors outnumber killers by a vast degree, and thus, from a business perspective, it makes the most sense to cater to them, as their buy power outstrips that of the killer by a staggering margin. BVHR has proven time and time again that they do not know how to balance or program, and while I'm not a professional in either category, I've played enough games in my life to have an idea of what a reasonable standard is for both. The only thing keeping DBD relevant at the moment is a lack of strong competition, as other games in its genre have long since died out.

You do realize that without killer the game will be ruined? So they cant really cater to 4 survivor players.

I dont doubt you but i would love it if you linked some posts

    Quote 1:

Killers should be able to win without using good set ups.

If killers are required to use specific set ups just to win then something is wrong.

    Quote 2:

So in the end, yes: killers can in fact be more powerful. But most dont like that, as it feels not fun to get only brutal killer after getting a 4k.

Tl;dr killers are overpowered when you put on the strongest things.

    "What would be fun?"

I mean like doing the ultimate kind of build with, for example, freddy with the ultimate gen defense, slugging at 5 gens and doing bringing the ebony incase someone loves.

Then again, my definition of fun and someone else's is different, so I will edit that part out since that is down to opinion.

P.S. Many thinks that killers indeed suppose to be overpowered.

  • Because they think the game suppose to be like "you can never escape killer you just here to die". If you doubt me i can link you to such posts.

  • Im pretty sure its memory leaks. Restart your pc .

Recently i had a bug where my mouse and keyboard would just stop working.

Clown is not bad because he is addon reliant. Clown is bad because his power is weak, he is slow, he has zero map pressure, and he is M1 reliant. His addons help ease the pain of playing as him, but it does not fix his core issues. There is a reason clown is regarded as the worst killer amongst killer mains, and "just play him correctly" is a horrible way to excuse such a barebones killer.

Not every killer suppose to have map pressure and ill tell you this: even with moblie killers its best to just play around 3 gens except you have ruin and some more relevant perks. Survivors can easily fix gens that are not 3 gens located close to each other even if you have mobility unless you really played good and won mind games.

Quick word of advice after having so much time in this game : You should always start to play aiming for how to end game right @ now.

Ok, then please point out where I have said that he is overpowered. NOT too strong for how low his skill floor is, NOT has too much going for his kit in one button press, but blatantly overpowered.

Not has too much going for his kit?

    https://youtu.be/Z75PyL0V1Ks https://youtu.be/sqkf9brWmiY

And there s more going for Hillbilly players with steer addons but i dont have any vids of those. But you can always face some in a game and see it for yourself .

No killer should be able to traverse the map in seconds like he does.

    It's too much map pressure.

I know, give him an addon when he chainsaws one survivor, he loses his ability to chainsaw for 2 minutes and he becomes a normal M1 killer at 115% speed.

Getting 3 gens done in 80 seconds while one is being chased is too much pressure as well!

Ah yes, exploiting the game by using a killers power for it's intended purpose, BHVR get the ban hammer out ASAP. And while we're at it, gotta ban the Wraiths that use their bell to go invisible, everyone knows the only allowed use is to play a rousing song for the survivors.

Billy base kit is fine. Instasaw and crack Billy are busted, because CTG is a broken addon, but everything else is fair. Billy is counterable if the survivor is better than the killer: I have seen top tier players get absolutely shredded on Billy because survivors knew to stick close to vaults and not allow themselves to get caught out in an area with no cover. Billy is strong, definitely don't get me wrong: he was one of the few killers pre-Ruin nerf that didn't need Ruin, but he's still not OP by any stretch of the imagination. He's a killer with a moderate skill floor and a very high skill ceiling (curving is something I'm terrible at, even with almost two thousand hours in the game).

Insta saw is not busted. You just dont know how limited HillBilly is without steering addons. You can waste plenty of his time if he tries to insta saw you on jungle gyms, shack or some short loops. The thing is insta saw Bily will always try to one shot down you and if you cant avoid that chainsaw you just need to get better at it.

As I said it's happening anyway regardless in fact worse because some killers who leave don't realise they are in a group or not. Killers are leaving even if the players aren't in a group.

The only reasons because killers leaving too often(not that it bears any damage since lobby doesnt close for survivors) is high ping, they dont like when survivors are not ready cause they expect them to bring a key at the 6 second.
