"It should be you can use any clock but your only allowed to use that one once."
I could support this idea with a few tweaks. The farthest clock is always available, but the only option when you first fall asleep and the other ones unlock after a certain amount of time. Once you used every clock your only option is the farthest one.
So...taking something already ridiculously easy...and making it easier?
Is this really the lengths survivors are willing to go in logic to nerf a killer? Oh my goodness.
You know...all the dream world really passively does is making it harder to judge the direction Freddy is coming at you from, right? And if that's what you're having trouble with..well, the problem isn't with Freddy.
Like seriously, imagine playing against a Freddy and worrying about waking up instead of doing a generator.

It's impossible. You spam them as you walk, with no cast animation.
Impossibru you say? Hmmm. I manage to do it just fine. I don't always survive, but I do manage to run pretty much every Freddy I go against for a couple of gens.
I think what you mean is impossible for you.

A 7 second head start clearly.
Yeah. I mean, what does Freddy really do that other killers don't do? Puts you in the dreamworld that exists for no real reason anymore other than aesthetic effect? Has dream snares that slow you down?
That's what I don't get. People will say "I love going against Wraith and Bubba, but Freddy isn't fun".
My theory is - oh, he has fake pallets and dream snares. He's harder to loop. Not fun!

He wasn't fun to go against then, but he's also not really fun to go against now.
What do you define as "fun" to go against? What makes a killer "fun" to go against?
-
Uh oh. A survivor finds a killer unfun. How dare a killer kill a survivor. Nerf incoming.
You know what? Having god windows abused, and being looped is unfun. Nerf survivors. Take away their legs. Running OP.
-
Actually, everyone here has done a pretty god job of telling you that you're wrong, and why. You're complaining about camping when you're the one causing killers to camp successfully. You admitted it yourself, and have proven nothing. It's not a matter of everyone else being wrong. It's a matter of *you* being wrong.
-
When the game doesn't have issues that either forces people to DC (infinite loading screens etc), or causes them to DC against their will (crashes, connection errors etc). Then it will be acceptable to have DC punishments.

When the patch notes were leaked people noticed that under the balance category it stated that the ranks would be removed from the tally screen. Obviously the leak was wrong :P
What evidence do you have that the leak was "wrong" vs. the leak being internal and never meant for us to see, and they backtracked on their plans?
The latter is more believable, given BHVR's track record. The latter is also more logical, because the leaks were 100% word for word the same as the patch notes we received two days later. Except for that one line. Plus, it's not out of character for BHVR after all the shadow nerfs they've done in the past.
"The leak was wrong" though. I don't mean to offend you, or any other person with the "trusted" badge, but it definitely seems to me like you guys (for the most part) will defend BHVR, even to an absolute fault. Even Peanits didn't say the leak was wrong. He said it was not happening. He never said it wasn't planned. He was very vague, because he knows we aren't stupid.

The problem is the devs aren’t gonna waste resources making cosmetics for a character that not a lot of people play because then they’re not making money back and it’s a loss of revenue or at least I’m assuming.
At the same time, though, a lot of people are more inclined to use a certain survivor if they have a cool cosmetic they really like.
I played Bill almost exclusively outside of daily rituals and adept achievements, even though I have all the perks on all my survivors, until survivors started getting cosmetics I like.

It is due to Red-ranked killers (and some survivors) intentionally demoting themselves via AFKing to stomp lower-skilled players - causing the matchmaking to force itself to put greens and yellows in a Red-ranked game.
You've posted this unfounded, silly jargon in another thread now, word for word. So I'll post this here again, because there's more evidence to back my version of it up than yours:
Uhhh..no? It's actually more like red rank killers not existing on the scale that they used to. Cause they aren't playing. Rank, especially on the survivor side, is NOT an indication of skill. It's basically a participation trophy for how easy it is to pip as a survivor.
Besides - if you've ever been to red ranks as killer (and judging by your post you have a long way to go before you get there and understand), especially lately, you'd know there's so many potato survivors at red rank because of how rank reset works now that deranking to face potato survivors is ridiculous.

Just look at the Oni compared to Hillbilly. The Oni is how the Hillbilly would have been designed had he been released recently, there is no way he would be as powerful as he is now and he is long overdue a rework.
What? KEKW?

Imagine actually believing Dead by Daylight hasn't been survivor sided since release.
You can tell this is a guy who has never been to red ranks with killer, and possibly even survivor. Survivor is the easy mode of Dead by Daylight. The majority of the community with any knowledge on the game (beyond OMG my team mates suck, I got camped omg killer sided) knows this. It's not opinion. It's objectionable fact.
This post has to be bait.

Leatherface - slowed down when using chainsaw.
Myers/Ghostface - has to stalk, instadowns only last for a limited time.
freddy - can only fast travel every 45 seconds, no instadowns
Spirit - has to recharge her power to cross the map
etc etc
I should add - this does not mean Hillbilly is overpowered. He is definitely not. (before anyone says it)
-
Send a letter to the devs telling them to start caring about the fun of both killers and experienced players. Maybe then killers will come back and you'll get quicker lobbies. Right now, all they seem to balance around are new survivors.

Discussions do of course happen within the team and it may have been discussed at some point and been in an internal test.

I also think its possible sometimes they may put stuff in there to troll those who do leak the data and have a good laugh about it afterwards.

BHVR says a lot of things.

A person who's wish is to upset another. They get on the other's nerves, and really bother said person.
You can't say that a person getting on someones nerves/bothering them is toxic. That's too wide of a spectrum to go by. Way too many are offended and bothered on different levels by different, and often inconsequential things. Offence is taken, not given.
-
I mean, I'd be hard pressed to believe that this is anything more than a backtrack because internal patch notes leaked that were never supposed to be made public. Especially since the leak in question had the rank removal thing listed under "balance".
I believe they won't actually do it (or, it will still happen and they try and play it off as a bug), but I still believe that it was their intention originally to do it, and that they would have done it had those internal patch notes not leaked. Peanits can deny it all he wants. He's a community manager. That's literally his job; to make the company look good in the face of adversity.
Of course I don't know if it's true for absolute certainty, but this is just what I believe based on their track record of just...weird/shady decisions.
-
Things in the game (actual features, this doesn't count exploits) are not toxic. Perks are not toxic. Using the crouch button is not toxic. Using a flashlight is not toxic. DS is not toxic. Camping is not toxic. Slugging is not toxic. Entire teams with flashlights/toolboxes/instaheals are not toxic. Nothing in the game outside of exploits (hook tech, etc) is toxic. Period. You can not like some of those things. That does not make them toxic. It simply makes you toxic for calling other people toxic because of a play style provided by the game.
Toxic is an attitude. Toxic is used to describe how a person behaves. Not something people don't like.
If you are that offended by being tea bagged, blinded by a flashlight, the noise of a flashlight click, or being hit on the hook (I could go on), I think the problem is you, and not everyone else. You're playing a game about the brutal murder of innocent people by psycotic and supernatural killers - you need to grow thicker skin.

Patrolling generators is not an objective. That’s literally an option.
Pretty sure there’s a loading screen “Hint” that says: “Killers CAN patrol generators” or something along those lines.
if you want to compare tunneling as being a thing because of the choice to patrol; survivors also have various other objectives themselves: Totems, Chests, Healing, and Rescuing.
Tunneling is a thing and so is “gen rushing”. it’s been proven that strategic players use gen-rushing tactics as a means to finish a game quickly.
The primary objective and only objective that actually matters as a killer is killing. If you kill quickly, you eliminate the penalty for generators completed. “Patrolling” is optional and not necessary to a killer. So that’s not an objective of the killer.
You cannot compare two things and say one is real and the other isn’t.
Patrolling gens is optional. That's why gatekeeper exists.

As I said in my post.... the people that play like this obviously don't care that they aren't getting points. They obviously don't care that they aren't ranking up and/or deranking. So those penalties are not enough. If they cared about those things they wouldn't be hiding the whole match. Those things are not enough.
So what do you want to do? Temp ban them for a playstyle?
KEK, no. I'm sorry - it's a multiplayer game. You can not, ever, under any circumstances, dictate how others play and punish them for not playing your way.
-
@LustForBP said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1004453#Comment_1004453
Point went over your head.
You cannot say “gen-rushing” is not a “real” thing if tunneling is considered a “real” thing. Since everyone wants to compare the two, it’s illogical to say one isn’t real but the other is and yet still compare them.
I got your facetious point just fine.
Gen rushing is not a thing because it's survivors only objective. They have nothing else to do. Tunneling IS a thing because kills have to patrol gens in addition to killing survivors. They have more inherent objectives, therefore, choosing to ignore one to go after one specific person is tunneling. It's a balance issue, since the power role should have, in theory, less to do.
-
There are already penalties (little to no bloodpoints, no XP, no PIP etc), and objectives are already mandatory to get anything from the game.
-
-
@LustForBP said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1004428#Comment_1004428
Tunneling isn’t a real thing either. It’s the killers objective to do just that, kill.
Tunneling is absolutely a thing - since part of the killers objective is to patrol generators in ADDITION to kill the survivors. That's part of where the games balance is broken. It's 4v1, yet the 1 has so much more to do than the 4.
-
So, here's my take.
Gen rushing isn't a real thing. What I mean by that is, gens do go fast yes; But being that it's literally the survivors only objective, and therefore slapping a label on it like they have some alternative motive behind it other than the fact that it's all they're given to do is a bit silly.
Contrary to what the person a few posts up said, it is not bad gen pressure on the killers part. Some killers are incapable of getting across a map even the size of Ormund before 1 or 2 gens are popped, and that's if they go in a straight line. So it's unfair to say it's bad gen pressure on killers, it's more the lack of ability for non mobile killers to apply said pressure. It will only get worse now because ruin was nerfed before the issue was solved (which is maps, not gen times) @Peanits .
As for tunneling, not everyone does it, and there certainly are reasons to do it. Like, if you bring a key, I think it's fair to expect to be tunneled. Or if you're an 4 stack SWF with toolboxes, it's safe to say the best play the killer could make is eliminating one of you ASAP.

DOCTOR CHANGE:
nerf:
Passive turn to 60 seconds CD
Unable to attack within 3 seconds (longer than the original switching time)
Added delay for current attack
Reduced difficulty to take sense back
make you mad tier to 1 when you take your sense back(used to be 2)
Can no longer use current continuously
Buff
115 running speed (when the ability is not used)
10%longer atk range(but mean nothing because of the new delay,it made survivor can run longer before been atk).
it is really hard to say it is a buff.
The shock cooldown is being lowered; and it's still a buff. I think you see 60 second cooldown and think :OMG nerf", but it actually works out.
Here, educate yourself:

Far as I know, those aren't skin loadouts, just full outfits purchased from the store. Even full prestige outfits don't show up in the outfit selection.

I would disagree. Billy can be used adequately without addons, or even perks at times, and has the huge plus of speedy mobility.
Hag on the other hand is an easy loop without addons and with Urban Evasion. She is significantly less powerful. If anything, she needs a buff.

The same decent quality game where DS exists.
Also - awful idea. Killers slug because it creates gen pressure. If you don't like it, DBD isn't for you.
