In any case, IT is NOT bannable to kill survivors for any reason other then cheating.

Imagine if it were, special requirements that you could meet to kill a survivors and then get banned for it that would be dumb.

Tunneling, Camping, ect is also not bannable and its also a terrible strat depending on the survivors.

I don't agree with camping or tunnelling unless it's deserved or a counter and the reason for that is it doesn't teach new killers how to counter looping or mind game so when they get to rank 13 - 15, when they go against smarter survivors they loose really, really easily and this just breaks matchmaking even more. If a killer camps or tunnels me I die on hook not only because it's a waste of my time but because I am not gonna sit there and let a killer sit smacking me on hook being toxic, killers like that need to get good. I mean a perfect example of a player like this was a prestige 3 Cannibal that was camping me on hook with Insidious and when my friend got me off hook obviously he tunnelled me only to DC instantly when my friend sabotaged the hook I was on. That killer is a perfect example of someone who was put against survivors not on the same skill level as him due to the bad matchmaking and him never learning to play the game good.

I misunderstood. You have to admit we see that ######### a lot, I'm just used to lots of crying.

I mean I have come across killers that fake farm before but usually I just leave to the other side of the map and avoid them considering killers are either extremely toxic or pissed off due to the terrible matchmaking putting them against red ranks when they are like rank 13. That's the reason I fake farmed, the bad matchmaking. The kid that got extremely mardy cause I killed him by fake farming was like a rank 4 obviously he was used to being put against bad killers due to the bad matchmaking so when he looses one game he was in tears bawling his eyes out cause I was being "toxic" when fact of the matter is he probably does the exact same or similar thing.

but killer who are balanced get nerf simply because surviour want fun killers want to have fun too

Well yeah cause every time a survivor gets mardy about a survivor being "OP" the developers nerf it when in reality it has nothing to do with the killer being OP it's more to do with things like broken hitboxes, the survivor using miserable perks, the survivor looping like an 8yr old on a meri-go-round or the killer actually just being ya know good at the game.

  • @BubbaDredge said:

"No fair, a killer was playing the game, but not in the way I wanted! Everything a killer does is toxic, I am a crybaby!"

No, playing killer is NOT bannable. We can kill you however we want to, killing you in a way that gets points is THE OBJECT OF THE GAME.

Do you literally know why I made this post? I made this post because I did this in a game and one of the very upset players told me it was bannable. I said I was a survivor because people on the forum seem to be very judgmental just like you. I feel as if you are a player that sits in front of pallets t-bagging the killer then gets mardy when they get tunnelled. Also let me explain what I consider a toxic build. I consider a build toxic if it provides an unfair advantage towards the killer while they themselves act in a way that is toxic. For example a Huntress with the best anti-genrush build in the game who camps and tunnels with Iridescent Heads launching hatchets from across the map.

  • Honestly this is a good concept, it has it's issues obviously but overall it's a good concept that I think would suit the game. Obviously I'm not a dev but I think they should really consider some of these concepts.

Thing is, the developers developed the game. If you didn't want to play it, you shouldn't have bought it.

Look that's my opinion and personally I think the developers but little effort in making the game fair providing bs excuses every time a bug or cheat is mentioned. I mean hitboxes, animations, sound effects, matchmaking, ranking, Bloodpoints, Iridescent shards, Auric cells, the Tomes, challenges, OP Perks, pallets and windows are all broken in Dead By Daylight. Have they been fixed yet? No they haven't and I make this argument every time someone make out the developers put in effort. Look this is my opinion and if a moderator on this Forum wants to ban me or mute me for having a simple opinion about this game, it's issues and the devs then that's fine because I know plenty of people agree with this statement.

  • @Redd said:

And the onus is on either the survivors to punish it and/or the devs to balance the game so that it no longer works. Frankly, that honestly means that the devs will have to do further balance changes if they really want to stop camping; because we all know survivors aren't really going to ever punish it.

The entire goal of the killer is to sacrifice the survivors. The primary way to achieve this is to slow the game down as much as possible so that you have as much time as possible to do your job. When successful, camping occupies the time of at least two survivors left in the game. Camping is considered successful whenever one survivor is on the hook, at least one survivor is sitting nearby doing nothing of much value for their team, and either the camped survivor progresses at least one hook state or you manage to down someone else (trading hooks counts). Camping is no longer successful when the remaining unhooked survivors all go do generators and/or when you completely lose your bait.

When you play killer long enough; you can sometimes get a feel for how certain survivors will act in a match. And sometimes you can tell that at least one or more survivors is overly altruistic for one reason or another. You are sometimes able to make an educated judgment call that one or more survivors will reward camping and that it might be a viable strategy in some games. Furthermore, you sometimes are heavily encouraged to try camping as a strategy because you get this feeling in a game where you would otherwise obviously lose due to how the game has been progressing. In this situation, you are making an educated gamble that camping will pay off and that you will be able to sacrifice more survivors by camping than you will by abandoning the hook. These educated gambles, especially against SWF and high rank survivors, will often turn 1K-2K games into 3Ks and even 4Ks, because survivors often will refuse to leave a hook alone even when it is clearly in their best interest to just do generators. This is often due to a mix of empathy for the hooked "teammate", boredom, greed for blood points, etc. In fact camping is particularly viable if the survivors have a "farmer" on their team; and you might even want to let a particularly bad farmer "escape" so that they'll keep farming their teammates. Finally, on rare occassions camping can be an educated gamble that you are definitely going to lose if the person to be camped ever gets off the hook; so you really do need to secure that kill and nothing is "lost" if the survivors "punish" you.

Please also note, I am not just talking about camping straight away. All of this can and does apply to situations where only 2 or 3 survivors are left in the game and/or situations where you've already progressed hook states "fairly" but no one is dead yet.

Now is camping a fun strategy? Well that is up for debate. It's definitely not fun for the survivors, and I personally do not find it that fun as killer, but some other killers seem to enjoy it a whole lot, and the devs seem to consider it a legitimate strategy whose counter is "just doing gens" (lol like survivors are going to do that). But the point of this post was/is to say that, from at least a strict number of sacrifices perspective, camping can be and often is a good strategy for getting kills. If it was a bad strategy, people wouldn't rank up at mid-high ranks by doing it. So please stop spreading the myths that this doesn't work and/or that people should stop complaining about it just because survivors can "punish" it. I can't force my random teammates to do anything lol.

Well look at it this way. Strategy is putting effort and thought into a plan that should grant you success, is sitting in front of a hook staring at a survivor smacking him over and over putting in any effort? Yes, and no. In some situations camping would be a good strategy especially if you want to get rid of a certain survivor for example if they are good at running you round, body block, have DS etc then camping or tunnelling would be the best thing to do to remove the biggest threat straight away. However there are also times where camping is not a fair and legit strategy that ruins everyone's game just for the fun of it. For example if from the start of the match a Wraith hooks someone and just sits a good enough distance away to stop anyone from seeing him or saving him while invisible, this is not strategy this is borderline toxicity. I consider it toxicity due to the fact that the person you hooked will not have a fun or fair game, automatically loosing the second he get's hooked. The developers tell people to counter camping by sitting on hook and waiting while people gen-rush but why should a player do that when they aren't having fun? I understand you can't win every game and you should help your team but you play to have fun and sitting on hook watching your team loiter around gens like a herd of cattle is not fun. This is why if I get camped I just die on hook because I am playing to have a fun game where I can actually do something, is it selfish? Yes it is but camping is not fair and I will not play games with killers that use unfair tactics to win the game. If the devs think camping is a fair strategy that's their opinion but in my opinion I think it's an unfair strategy that should be banned. I mean in reality why should I help my team when most players just play selfish anyway, I have been left on hook to die multiple times by team mates that have full ability to come save me.

  • Look I don't care if the developers think camping is a "legitimate strategy" because in reality it isn't. Strategy is putting effort into something, sitting in front of a hook is not putting in any effort, those players that pretend their farming and then kill everyone put in more effort because they have to set it all up and make it seem like their farming.

  • @papichulo said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2070794#Comment_2070794

tbh at this point you cant use the words "fair, deserved, etc." and what your telling me rn is that killers cant kill survivors using their own strategies JUST BECAUSE it isnt deserved? dude-

I mean if you camp you get gen-rushed, that's fair. You tunnel you get body blocked, that's fair. You slug you get people hiding that's fair.

You run the killer round you get tunnelled, that's fair. You body block you get slugged, that's fair. You try to BP farm you get tricked, that's fair.

There is always a counter to these shady underhand strategies and they may work for a while why you are a lower rank but when you start getting to green rank people are just gonna counter them and your gonna keep loosing over and over so it's best to just get good at mind games, countering people running you round and stopping gen-rushers over killing 1 person. Obviously with better perks, items, add-ons, offerings, killers and survivors this becomes easier. I say it's not deserved because your "strategies" can ruin the game depending on the team your put against. If you camp and tunnel against a bunch of rank 20s then your gonna get an auto win without putting in any effort. I wouldn't even call camping, tunnelling and slugging a strategy unless you use it to counter something the survivors are doing or it's the best way to play for the killer your using. Sitting next to a player with Insidious as Wraith is not a strategy it's just playing bad. Sorry to break this all to you but it's true.

  • @papichulo said:

Err, no. It is just strategy. In my opinion, I don't think killers should be discussed negatively for tunneling, focusing, slugging, and farming. It is just a strategy. Remember, it doesnt matter how you play (unless your hacking or doing a bannable offense) it just matters on if the killer kills all of you. So, no.

I mean no offence but tunnelling a slugging is pretty trashy when it's not deserved. I usually only tunnel if a survivor is toxic or loops me for a while (to ensure the sweatiest player dies on hook).

Just don't let your guard down. Generally if a killer is farming, me and my friends always try to make sure some people are fully healthy; and we break every totem before we do the last gen just in case.

It's not "cheating" so much as a really gross long term mind game. There are a lot of them, some people will sit as bubba in basement with insidious and gamble everything on you opening basement chest lol. It's a game, some people try different things sometimes cause it's a game.

Yup I fully agree with your strategy and I will probably do that next time. Honestly we lost because we were greedy and wanted BP, I think that's fair, that's a different opinion to everyone on my time but I don't care.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Farming is not bannable generally, outside of some specific situations like a survivor clearly doesn't want to farm but another survivor sandbags them and forces you to let them farm you when you just want no part in it.

Changing your mind after farming a bit is also not bannable. If you don't like it then just play normally, the only way a killer ends up in that situation is if you participated so you had full control over that situation.

In this situation nothing is reportable.

Yeah that's what I thought I mean we were all higher ranks than him so I get why he did it and I reported him because I just don't want him getting away with it if he cheated (And cause my team mate that I was talking to was really salty about it xD)

  • Well if it's not bannable I don't wanna false report someone if they aren't breaking the rules. There are enough cheaters that need to be banned there is no point in wasting peoples time. Also clever play on what I said I will give you that but it does make you sound like a 12 year old ngl.

Eh, rank is meaningless. As is evidenced by a rank 2 falling for a fake farming trap.

I mean it all seemed pretty legit he set it up really well just like an actual farmer would do. Something you have to remember though is rank does mean something otherwise how did they actually get to that rank? He wasn't that good cause at the start of the game when he was tryna tell us to farm I saw him getting looped around the killer shack. Like I said this games matchmaking is broken and I stand by that, if he uses that tactic to beat sweatier players that he shouldn't be matched against I fully support him as long as it's not classed as cheating. If DBD doesn't want us to use tactics like that they should ban camping, tunnelling and slugging because they provide just as much advantage as long as you don't know how to counter it. It's not like you can't counter what the killer did we were just stupid and fell for it. Only thing we need now is a new name for this tactic any ideas??

  • @_HN_ said:

    "toxic perk and addons"

god damn you survivors are legit insane.

As for the rest of this emberassing OP... so what? You let him gather you all in one spot and then proceeded to heal eachothers rather than trying to do your own objective, and he then just killed you all and you are now asking is you could report him for what? Being too good at the game and not picking your up instantly to eat a free DS?

Does that mean I can also report the survivors that pack onfront of the gate to "farm BP" with the protecting hits they'll get "without putting any skill and pretty much by trolling"?

The lack of self awarness is mindblowing on that one.

Considering I know what I know at the moment your post is incredibly funny and boosting me ego a bit. I didn't think it was bannable I was just wondering. I mean like I said a minute ago he was a rank 12 against much more sweaty players. If we fell for his trick then yes it's on us, but if it's not allowed I still want him to get banned for it hence why I reported him. Honestly I'm not to bothered if he doesn't get banned in a way we should be banned to considering we were going to allow him and help him BP farm.

  • @mintchapstick said:

No, you can't get banned for 'tricking survivors.' It's silly to think it would be, because I'm pretty sure that farming is actually more bannable since it's not playing the game as intended.

Yeah that's kinda what I though I don't really care to much about it I just wondered. Honestly I think it's a good strategy considering he was a Rank 12 going against Rank 2, 4, 12 and 11s. I guess if the game won't put you in fair lobbies you just don't play fair yourself. And like I said he didn't really farm if he killed everyone.

  • @FrenziedRoach said:

Nope... you're the fool falling for a trick

Additionally - there's nothing toxic about using perks or addins. They're in the game, it's fair to use them

Fair enough also I mean there is such thing as a toxic build that's what I meant by addons and perks.

  • @EvilJoshy said:

Technically farming is bannable. So if you accept to farm both parties were breaking a rule to begin with.

But he didn't really farm considering he killed us all.

  • @HuDawg said:

Please explain what are the differences

I think you can still get banned for it if you report someone, it's classed as rage quitting (I think).

  • @Amelio said:

I'm a killer main but I really dislike hook campers, the times I played against them it was just boring and pointless

after thinking about it for a long time I figured that having these 2 survivor perks (free, without having to unlock it, so any players can counter those killers) would really teach to some killers how to behave and play fun and interesting games:

    perk 1:

if you are on a hook and you are inside of the killer terror radius or he's at least 24 meters from you, the hook progression is slower by 30/40/50% and if you are in the struggle phase you can't be sacrificed to the entity and the timer freezes indefinitely

120 second instead of 60 seconds per stage is a lot of time: if a mindless killer really want to camp you and you have this perk, teammates have all the time to get healed and ready to bait the killer while one or even two gens pops

if a killer is just close to the hook watching gens and it's risky to save you at least your teammates don't have to rush it to save you last second and get killed instead

    perk 2:

the perk gets 1 token every time you get hooked and gets activated if you are unhooking, in the injured state and you have at least 1 token

It grants the endurance status effect during the unhooking and for 2/3/4 seconds after and if the killer hit you during that time you lose 1 token and get the deep wound status effect instead

if this perk has at least 1 token you can't be grabbed when saving a teammate from the hook

this means that if a killer is camping the hook and he manages to hit you before you get to the unhook or it's an insta-down killer like the cannibal you can save your teammates without having to fear to take his place

this is really strong if you are in a bad spot and the killer is close to the hook, if the other survivor doesn't have the other perk and you are injured you can run to the hook and get a last-second save without getting killed

it's a strong perk and you could abuse it, that's why the perk needs the tokens thing; if a killer is struggling or you just simply haven't been hooked yet it's fair to "trade hooks", this is meant to be an anti-snowball perk like borrowed time or unbreakable

The 1st perk I think personally is a really great idea and if you combine that with a new system where if 2 or more survivors are hooked at once the killer gets an advantage such as hook progression being quicker or more Bloodpoints then you pretty much make camping a pointless strategy. I really think this perk should be added to the game and it should be accessible from the start of the game so you don't have to buy it, that will pretty much make every campers game ruined. I also think their should be a perk where your scratch marks don't show for 60 seconds after you get off the hook, this would throw tunnellers off your trail a bit.

  • @GHOSTfaceP3 said:

I've put about 5k hrs into the game at this point and I've had fun up until I felt like I had to play because this rift is just so unfun mix that with unfun challenges and having to grind every perk for every survivor I wanna play with and every killer I wanna play with it's just become so unfun after skipping a few weeks and getting 10 days behind and playing Minecraft I've realized just how unfun this game has become the only reason I play at this point is because I have great memories playing this game and I hope one day it'll get better thank that is all

Dude the game's currency is broken. For example if you go against an AFK killer and you do all 5 generators, cleanse 3 totems and escape while your team just stand is front of the killer T-Bagging you get less Bloodpoints than the rest of your team despite them putting in 0 effort. Obviously I get boldness is a hard category to get Bloodpoints in for new survivors but if the killer is AFK, farming or easily looped it becomes really stupid and no effort is needed. Add all that with some broken matchmaking that puts Rank 4 survivors against Rank 20 killers and BOOM you get an unfair game and broken currency.

I didn’t mean the look. Apparently for me all the survivors are darkened and shadowed now. Ever since the update.

Yeah it's supposed to be like that it's really weird I assume it has something to do with the lighting.

  • @Dragonshensi said:

Why is everyone so dark and blackened out but me? Part of the fun of the lobby screen is seeing other people’s costumes and such. Now everyone is so dark it’s hard to tell. Not to mention it looks really silly. My survivor is lit up like a bright neon sign and right next to me is three shadows I can barely make out.

I like the lobby but I don't think the new lobby or the Trickster suit Dead By Daylight. I feel like DBD is supposed to have more of a grungy aesthetic to it not bright and colourful. Maybe that's why Trickster doesn't have a map?

The thing is. This is about DbD. Not about inclusiveness in art in general. It's about a game, where people like to have a good variety of options of characters to play as. Pointing out the lack of options in male PoC makes absolute sense here. Tell me how would it make DbD a worse gameplay experience, if future male DbD survivors might come from ethnicies that aren't represented yet in the game? It's not breaking immersion, because they are normal human beeings as the rest. It's actually making the game better by increasing the variety in options for everyone. So we all can have fun.

Well if they want the game to be fun they should fix the endless list of bugs and issues first don't you think? Not new characters and perks.

How do you avoid race when your characters are human beings? And why is a character being black or not "political"?

Because these days when people play games, watch TV and read comics they are always for some reason thinking about identity politics when we all know any form of media that gets woke goes broke. I mean Doctor Who, Ghostbusters, Marvel & DC are all examples of things that put identity politics before making their movies, shows or comics actually good. I suppose it's fear of being cancelled but let's be honest people that are a part of cancel culture on twitter are extremely sad, lonely & bored individuals who have nothing better to do other than attack people thinking they are doing a justice when they aren't. I mean in reality cancel culture does nothing but make people sit there and laugh at the people cancelling others. Rick And Morty, Chris Pratt, Dominos, Attack on Titan are all examples of things that were cancelled for no reason and afterwards after the sane individuals had sat and laughed everything went back to normal.

it does matter tho, why wouldnt people want character that look like them, and no i don't think people play these characters just to camouflage

I play Claudette because it's harder to see her, my friend plays Claudette for the same reason (except when he wears the most vibrant clothes taking the mick) I mean I wouldn't touch a survivor who had a rainbow coat on and glowing pants with a 50 foot stick. Honestly it's just a game and you can play survivors for whatever reason you want but obviously if your in it to win and your not good at looping killer then play a character that can camouflage well such as Claudette.

4 people in a month? Where do you live? The deep south?

I think the game is such a mess right now that people don’t want to see all this hype over sexuality while the game itself needs fixing. As everyone has already said its not the same teams but players are feeling desperate and unheard. People are assuming that they dont want an LGBT character released but if you look back over the past year a lot of players have been saying they don’t want ANY characters or dlc released, they just want the game to receive an operation health style makeover.

I only came back a few weeks ago from a 3 month hiatus. Earlier last year I took an even longer break. Seeing what they have done with the new maps really saddens me for the future of the game not just because the maps are bad but because we can see that the designers clearly do not understand their own game and are incapable of designing good maps at this point. The new meat plant in particular is so bad that I’m considering uninstalling again because no way am I playing an m1 killer on that map. There is zero gameplay. So when that map comes up I now take a 5 minute timeout or I go afk for 5 minutes....,like either way I’m wasting 5 minutes doing nothing when I could spend those 5 minutes playing a different game and having more fun. Rotten fields was already that kind of map for me, not sure if its because im colour blind making it worse but I physically had to learn forward and squint every game to continue a chase against characters with dark clothing and it gave me eye strain. Speaking of which given Almo’s attitude towards color blind people which was recently made aware to me I wouldn’t expect this company to handle any kind of inclusion your hoping for in a tasteful way. They fixed the maps last year and then ruined them again with the updates. So sad.

Then we have the bugs. The game it collapsing under the weight of its own bugs and many have been in there for years. They said they fixed the silent survivor bugged and yet its still there so they cant even fix the bugs they claimed they fixed.

Finally we have the balance which nobody has been happy about for a long time.

So with players frustration at an all time high, the game just adding more and more bugs to the pile, the developers actually somehow making maps worse everytime they touch them, and just the usual balance issues which have remained for almost 5 years, I think a lot of hype about the sexuality of a character in a game with no sex, no romance. No dialogue, no direct way to interact or communicate with other characters or people is just leaving people fee cynical like the developers are just chasing easy sales and cheap praise rather than doing anything which would take more work. People felt the same when they were adding more licensed killers too, hey the game is a mess but STRANGER THINGS GUYS!! PYRAMID HEAD GUYS!! yeah I really enjoy Pyramidhead but the novelty quickly wears off when you start losing games because of bugs or you have a stressful of boring time because of map design

Couldn't have put it better myself.

The books are published by a kids book publisher and sold at elementary school scholastic book fairs (where my nephew picked up his) and sell kid themed fnaf bedroom sets. They target kids more than adults. It's fine to like things made for kids, I like Scooby Doo and that would also fit in DBD.

Best cartoon of the 2010s was Gravity Falls and that was a kids show and hell that had references to Rick & Morty in it which is definitely an adult show. Some things meant for kids can have a lot of depth and be enjoyed by adults ask anyone that watches cartoons.

Its not a kids game, you clearly don't know anything about the lore, the community makes it seem like a kids game, id like to see a 10-12 yr old play FNAF 4 and not have nightmares or anxiety, "its impossible!"

If you still think its a kids game watch this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrOf16MsWJk - The person doing the vid takes the piss a bit, but what he is saying is actually disturbing !

I was 13 when the original FNaF 4 Came out and I can assure you I had no nightmares. I'm 19 now and I have played every FNaF game and completed all of them (Not the 20/20 modes) not counting UCN. Honestly if I remember anything I used to find FNaF's jumpscares more funny rather than terrifying. Them jump scares are good for a quick scare but they could not give you nightmares.

I mean, killers are just gonna tunnel and camp even if the character was straighter than a ######### pole. I doubt anyone would be petty enough to tunnel someone because they wear a silly skin (because let's be honest survivors are just skins)

You really think someone is gonna get worked up over a crossdresser or a trans person or a gay person or whatever the survivor is to tunnel them?

I mean if the new survivor cannot camouflage one bit then your kinda asking to get tunnelled. I try not to tunnel in my games but if I see a Claudette in a bright pink shirt you know who's dying first because you cannot miss them and I'm not just gonna leave someone in the open and let them do generators that would be stupid.

It isn’t and tbh the lgbt representation is actually quite small in the story( I won’t spoil it) but people still raged about it like it was the end of the world

It’s just nice for lgbt people to have a character they can relate to and identify with in both movies and video games .

I mean Ellie and Rachel were gay and nobody gave a flying ######### about that in the first one. If people are angry about something in the second one it must be big or offensive in some way, I mean if it's literally just thrown in without any meaning and just to look PC then no that's not good.

People don’t like seeing lgbt representation in video games for some reason. Remember the last of us 2?

I only joined the Forums a couple days ago and although I haven't played TLOU2 I assume it isn't as good as the original when you create a masterpiece like that it is hard to beat. However if the game is just LGBT Inclusion and that's it without any gameplay or story then it's not a good game if I wanted to see that I would watch the News or go to a protest not play a Video Game.

  • @Olokun said:

for what i will say i dont have anything against lgbt but gao away with your political messages we dont need it on Vid games. chars have a story we dont need to know ANY sexual orientation let the devs do ! we dont care about this . aswell religions

Thank you! I don't care weather a character in a game is straight, gay, bisexual, transgender, asexual or a bloody attack helicopter same as I don't care about the gender, race or religion of a character. Video Games along with Movies, TV, Anime, Books, Comics & Manga should all remain apolitical. Nobody plays a game for it's political message they play it because it's fun (which Dead By Daylight is not because it's broken af)

New character will have lore and distinctive traits anyway. The fact a character might be LGBT doesn’t change anything whatsoever. The people working on the lore would be working on lore either way, so might as well not exclude LGBT topics, when we already got plenty of straight relationship mentions where nobody complained btw.

Right I have no problem with an LGBT Character but for five minutes lets pretend Dead By Daylight isn't a broken game and needs bug fixes more than characters and lets just say this, who really gives a #########? I mean I'm not trying to be rude here but it's a character in a game which you only play based on how easy it is to use and what perks they have. Nobody plays Claudette just because she's black they play her because she blends in with literally anything on most maps making her incredibly easy to use not to mention the Self-Care and Empathy perks. If people use this character they will use it based on perks and how easy they are to use. I mean if they don't look like a ######### McDonalds billboard at night letting everyone know where they are I will probably use them.

Apparently you don't understand the concept of representation. Obviously nobody will play just because of that. If, however you are new to a game, or been around a while, you'll probably be happy to able to see yourself in a character. Why do you think survivors main a certain character? Because something about that character speaks to them.

Not everything has a pc agenda behind it. Sometimes it's just a nice thing to do.

No not everything does, most things do though. I mean lets keep it a buck fifty here Dead By Daylight was only created to make money why do you think it's 9000 Iridescent Shards to unlock a character without money? It's wanting you to buy it with your money. I mean if you honestly believe the currency in this game is legit you must be smoking something good. 21000 Iridescent Shards for a character outfit is not a good price or a reasonable one. If they create an LGBT Character it's so people buy it for the reasons you mentioned not so people enjoy the game more. It's a sad truth but I suppose they are running a buggy, unfair & overall broken game, they have to make there money somehow.

Okay so I think I have cracked the code on the new survivor and the hints they have been dropping. So they have yet to reveal the face of the new survivor? Why is that? But they reveal the body and not the face. I believe the face will be somewhat masculine. Also lets go on to the coloring of the Mightee 1 entertainment banner on their twitter. It is blue and pink fading together. Blue representing boy and pink representing girl. Mighty one. Like both coming together to be one. I really feel very strongly that this is the case. The killer on the other hand I have no idea about... Thoughts!?

I feel like people get excited over the wrong things in this game. Maybe instead of making LGBT Survivors they should fix the endless list of bugs and issues. As I have stated so many times we don't need new survivors or killers we need the game to be fixed. Either way does it really matter if a survivor is LGBT? It's a character is the game and as long as they have good perks, are easy to play as and don't look like the northern lights letting the killer see them from half way across the map who really cares?

  • It would be really unfair and really stupid, would probably make me quit the game because it's unfair enough already. Still would be funny though xD

Today I have to do tunel with spirit because I see the survivors want to do me genrush, I hook 1 survi and they fix 2 motors at the same time then I think sorry but I have to do tunel it's fair, I kill 1 survi they repair another motor and they didn't want to stop for looking the ruin 🤷, finally I win 4K someone angry insulted me and say stop to do tunel and baby killer etc., and I don't know baby killer? what's supposed to do in that moment? because tapp how was the survi that I tunel he have the perk to see hexs, If I let he lived he probably find my totem and after I would receive the t-bags in the door 🤷, I consider me a genrusher survi too, maybe the survivor need more things to do meanwhile they are not in chase because with the easy mode to do motors for the survivors how are not in chase the killers need to do tunnel is a fact and at least for me it's not with the purpose to be toxic, it's to balance survivor alive vs. motors fixed we need to stop to think that tunel is toxic but sometimes I know the killer do tunel (bubbas XD) when they are 0 gen fixed and that is sh*t I know but we are miles of players is difficult to teach all when maybe is fair to do tunel and when it's b*llsh*t

I know that it's bad for killer when you are a lower rank so I fully agree with you if you tunnel when 3 generators are done before you have even hooked 1 survivor. I mainly mean when people tunnel for the higher ranked players and pretend that they are actually good at the game. I myself have seen this when I was a low rank killer a couple months back in which I resorted to tunnelling and camping to win. Just to be clear I only do this in circumstances where all 4 survivors have toolboxes or flashlights and are in a call together gen rushing.

  • @cyniChris said:

Matchmaking being bad is mostly due to a lack of players. There aren't enough players across all ranks to create balanced matches. And more to the point, you can reach red ranks on either side with maybe 100 hours played, but then you could get matched with someone who has over 5000 hours in-game at the same rank. That's not even remotely fair. Plus ranks get reset every month, meaning someone can take a few months' break from the game and come back at a much lower rank. They'd demolish anyone they get put against til they got higher in the ranks. Ranks need to go. It's that simple.

This MMR system the devs are working on won't be any better, by the way, and the fact that ranks are still going to be displayed will result in a lot more complaints about mismatched ranks.

Complain about camping and tunnelling all you want, but they're both viable (if unfun) playstyles. Same goes for the survivors who go out of their way to bully the killer. Players will always find the most annoying ways to play any game, and trying to stop it will do nothing but ruin it for those of us who want to play fair and have fun.

Introduce a mechanic that punishes camping? The survivors will find ways to abuse it. As for tunnelling, I'm sure you've seen survivors throw themselves at the killer or find ways to bait them into downing and picking them up so they can use Decisive Strike.

The best way to stop, or at least reduce, camping/tunnelling? Reward not doing it, instead of punishing it. Remove the silly 8000BP per-category cap, and throw in a bunch of extra BP for not camping and for chasing other survivors. As for survivors, give them extra BP for risky plays (bigger bonuses for safe unhooks in the killer's terror radius, for example) and actually working as a team. Maybe even give survivors bonus "distraction" BP if they're being camped/tunnelled, so that they at least get something out of their bad experience.

I fully agree with everything there. The game rewards camping and tunnelling in a way I mean look at the basement challenges and the BP you get from hooking players in there, it's just encouraging players to camp and tunnel rather than playing with skill.

They shouldn't ban people for camping or tunneling it is just a boring strategy used by some killers I was just focusing on dcing because it is you literary removing yourself from the game and screwing over your teammates.

Why not? DCing ruins the gameplay, so does camping and tunnelling. If you wanna ban people for making the game less fun then those should be your first priority.

  • @panernaners said:

I see a lot of people who like that there is a dc penalty and I think that's fair but let me ask you when is the last time it has stopped someone from dcing? and even then they can just suicide on the hook. So my question is why does it even exist at all in it current state? They either need to make it more punishing for consistent dcers over a long period of time or just add some other feature like a surrender button.

    What do you think?

Honestly I think the whole punishment is stupid. I mean earlier I played a game where the survivor and killer were teaming so I reported them and did they get banned? No. There are much bigger issues than DCing in Dead By Daylight I mean if you wanna ban people for DCing why not ban people for Camping and Tunnelling because that ruins everyone's gameplay experience? This game has much bigger issues than DCing such as hacking, teaming, camping hatch, camping hooks, camping basement, tunnelling, and toxicity. These are all much bigger issues than DCing from a game and worst part is if someone is literally hacking and you DC not wanting to waste your time in a game with a hacker you still will get get banned. Pathetic.

honestly seen so many people respond on other post saying ranks don't matter just have fun.

    IT'S NOT FUN.

not fun at all when you hit rank 14 and keep getting put with rank 4 swf you can't do anything, you can't even improve because you don't have a chance to even play.

I mained trapper but i had to change that because I'm new and don't have every perk going of all killers the trapper is useless to high ranks, I'm just a slow machete guy, so i had to change something i enjoyed and was hoping to improve and get better at to another killer where i atleast had some power of a chance.

It really needs to be fixed.

I know what you mean plenty of people have said to me that "You either have an unfair game or no game at all, and an unfair one is better than no game" well to me that's just stupid. You play a game to have fun and enjoy yourself, to get a release from all the stress you have in your life and to escape for a while. So I would simply rather have no game at all because an unfair game isn't fun to play and it just stresses you out even more. I mean they say it's better to have a game rather than no game but there are plenty of other games I can go play. Honestly the DBD team need to fix matchmaking immediately not make a new outfit for Meg. In reality though matchmaking isn't DBD's only issue. I mean for higher rank players (20-15) the game is very killer sided while for lower rank players (14-1) it's very survivor sided. Things need to be nerfed, camping & tunnelling need to be discouraged heavily and Iridescent shards need to be more accessible to people can get more perks, survivors and killers. That's how the game could be more fair.

  • This is literally proof the matchmaking is broken. This is a game I played today as killer. Honestly I think the matchmaking issue is appalling for a game of this standard. You update the game again and again but you don't fix this issue which is a massive issue for new players. Higher Ranks should go against players on the same or similar level, Rank 11 & 10 is not a similar level to Rank 18. Fix your damn game if every other game can get matchmaking right so can you. You keep saying you are going to release an MMR System but I doesn't seem like it's your top priority, well it should be.
