I got called a neckbeard for using exhaustion bottles. That was pretty funny.

They last until you are hooked not for 30 seconds just to let you know.

  • I find it funny how pointing or waving is seen as a toxic action, I mean are you that easily set off?

Just want to say that noone cares about pipping anyway.

People that use noed don't pip anyway

  • @Chocolate_Cosmos said:

Instead of rushing gens like crazy how about doing totems and not get killed? Nah, better Nerf that perk, right? :-)

Yeah get rid of the perk that makes underperforming killers feel like their 5-10min wasnt wasted due to their own incompetence.

  • Well you allowed 5 gens to get done and I'll assume with no sacrifices so NOED is in fact rewarding failure.

It doesn't counter gen rushing it punishes the survivors for not totem cleansing.

You won't pip if you 1 hook everyone after smacking them down with noed either.

Yea but isn't that the cause 9/10? Especially considering how deranked survivors are on ps4 they are playing at rank 13-15 and they play like they spent 3 months at rank 2 honestly I don't blame anyone for DCing against that. You shouldn't be forced to play a game or trial that will only end in 0 kills and a gg ez newb

No you should cause then you'll get better, unless you are the type to waste the time crying instead of improving :)

  • No spine chill makes stealth killers useless

Whenever I get gen rushed I'm always torn between complaining about it and complementing the survivors. I always end up doing an awkward combination of both and I really should just make up my mind on what I want to say if anything.

There's not too much impressive about doing generators

Yeah how dare people try to win :P

Trust me I’d rather use perks other than ruin but against good survivors it’s basically a required perk.

There’s no reason NOT to run a perk to slow down generators given that it’s survivors only objective.

There's winning because of perks/add one and then there's winning with your skill/actions.

I prefer using brown and yellow add ons with no ruin just to make my victory completely mine.

  • The sad part is the people that have become so dependent on Ruin don't care what rank they stall out on.

They have no standards to how they play they only care about winning so they will scrape up wins off the lobbies that aren't swf and feel good about themselves.

  • Seems pointless since I wouldn't be trying less when it's solo. Only difference I'd see it making is if you want to use discordance or not

  • Can we also kick at the killers that try to face camp?

@Rasinbran why should they of left them alone? not their fault the meg was lagging, lag can happen through the entire game and they can't just keep leaving meg alone i find lag people worse as they seem to teleport lol

It goes along with playing fair but I understand people are so desperate for a rank that doesn't have any reward.

  • You could have noticed they were lagging and left them alone. But it's fine, take what you can get I suppose.

  • Yeah the notification is them going down in one hit

  • Yeah the diamond can be above the survivors head where their rank would be.

  • When I get frozen at a pallet then a minute later I'm on the hook with the killer standing 10m away looking back and forth refusing to play the game normally on top of having a bad connection.

It does cause a disadvantage in some instances, specifically if you play killer. Also you have the option to adjust your FPS. We don't, we are just locked to whatever FPS the devs set the game to.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/595001#Comment_595001

Oh yes, let me just open my fat wallet and dump $2000 on a new computer, then another $80 on DBD with all the DLC, then spend another 2k hours to get all the perks and stuff back to where I'm at now JUST to be able to use a mouse. Makes total sense why didn't I think of that.

The feature is there on Xbox, I shouldn't have to do anything except ask BHVR to enable it.

And yes I said MOUSE. Not mouse and keyboard. Keyboard sucks for movement, I actually plan to use a mouse for aim and a controller for movement. It is far superior to m/kb.

I do just fine as Killer with a controller because it's not an aim intensive game.

Even on huntress I can hit hachets consistently it just took practice.

It's sad to see people resort to using a mouse or keyboard instead of just getting good, it's not impossible.

    I was just testing stuuuuuuuuff.

I had Play with you food, too.

I was testing which perk works with the ambush.

You lose still tokens with the ambush, by Play with your food.

    Fair enough.

Nurse is slower than survivors, she can't have a cooldown on her power unless her speed is increased to 110% at least.

No we don't need another killer where using their power is optional to use, it's very uncomfortable to watch when you play against a spirit or hag that plays them like a trapper without traps.

  • @ShyN3ko said:

I gain tokens without using the ambush.

And I only use the ambush vs the obssesion.

Its hard, but it fit my playstyle.

And in the video, I only test it.

This is why I have only 2 tokens.

In my other games, I have always 6-8 tokens and thats pretty cool.

For other players, its a nerf.

For me its a buff, because my playstyle.

    So its 50/50.

    But I love mad grid:

    Why do you have unrelenting?

  • @thesuicidefox said:

No to crossplay, until the devs enable m/kb support on consoles and optimize the game to run at a consistent 60fps for consoles.

BTW, Xbox allows full native m/kb support for games now. It's just that developers need to enable this feature for their games.

BHVR wouldn't even need to create a new system here, they just enable it as it is enabled on PC. Done.

If you are that desperate to use a mouse and keyboard get a gaming computer :)

  • Dead by daylight isn't a shooter or anything so its not that difficult on console, people just like to complain so they can have an easier time winning.

I wouldn't mind playing against some Pc players that have the mindset that they have a huge advantage because they paid extra money to play the same exact game I'm playing.

If they happen to be better Its fine since I'll get better from playing them.

  • If you want to make sure you get use out of DS just fast open a locker

    What

Add ruin into the game instead of having it as a perk. Survivors lose the ruin effect once they break a dull totem.

..it already does? The skill-checks are red if there's Ruin.

What I'm saying is make Ruin how the generators start out being. Without having to equip it.

  • Ruin should show skill checks are on gens.

  • Stop tunneling

  • @Rasinbran said:

10min in the morning for killer any other time is around 5min.

I don't understand why theres a queue for the killer since we are hosting the game, it's just another irritation I'd see it as.

Early morning queues have been less than a minute for me, but its a holiday so that increases flow.

  • Ruin is already run enough so id say survivors have had plenty of time To hit skill checks with ease.

  • @MysticalMagic92 said:

I believe you only get them if you don't have their respective killer. I have all the DLCs and I don't get Splinters any more. I believe the only way to stop getting them is to just buy the DLC or killer.

I have a P3 pig lmao and I also have leatherface prestiged. I just don't have Freddy and only play him by using smoking splinters.

  • I tend to stick with buying the killer side of the dlc only in exception to Jeff and Laurie.

  • Ruin is just a lazy way to defend the generators, my opinion is if you can't play without it you aren't as good as you think.

  • This is the Playstyle you have to adapt to for red ranks since everyone runs decisive.

  • I tip I'd like to provide is survivors tend to spawn next to the gens that the killer spawns furthest away from.

Only time it gets hard to apply this is on the game map and haddonfield.

  • 10min in the morning for killer any other time is around 5min.

I don't understand why theres a queue for the killer since we are hosting the game, it's just another irritation I'd see it as.

  • Ghostface is in the group of killers I'd say benefit the greatest off survivors stupidity.

The other two are hillbilly and trapper.

  • It would be a better option to have it available when they are on their death hook, within a certain range of the hook.

  • Yeah sloppy butcher is the best perk to prevent healing as quickly, with coulrophibia the penalty will only be in effect while the survivors are within killers terror radius.

I guess there's also Dying light but that takes effect after killing obsession, not worth running past purple ranks since everyone runs decisive.

Thanatophobia gives a slight debuff to interactions which includes healing and at the perk being at the highest tier in full effect it only has a 16% debuff.

Then of course certain add ons can inflict mangled onto the survivors but I'd recommend running sloppy butcher and using a better add on, unless you want to use another perk in that slot then the add on will be good to use.

Shut up before I take your Dead Hard, Adrenaline, Deliverance, Decisive Strike, Toolboxes, 3 teammates, pallets, balanced landing, and insta heals

Oh so you want to assume I'm a survivor main? Well I'm not.

I play every killer in a rotation except billy, doctor, trapper. I just have higher standards than most people and would rather not depend on a perk to carry me.

Some people struggling with it doesn't make it a crutch, especially not when this crutch is one of the few abilities with the easiest counter.

Yes it does because that makes the perk better than it should be, people run ruin in hopes they miss the hex skill checks and when they do then it's a crutch perk. Alot of people find it impossible or too frustrating to play without it so it's absolutely a crutch in that sense.

I can say I've done well for myself on every killer without a perk dependant on the mistakes of survivors, I don't think many others can say the same.

  • @Boss said:

If you say Ruin doesn't do much, then it can't possibly be a crutch Perk, not to you at least.

A crutch Perk is what can be used by casuals to gain more power while it would overpower skilled players.

If Ruin doesn't only do little, but also does little regardless of skill, it's nothing like a crutch Perk.

Its what I'd call a relative crutch perk since there are plenty of survivors that struggle greatly with it.

In turn that will result in a longer game and more time for the killer to kill.

  • @MrsPiggyIsSoSneaky said:

So because you have people in your team who can't hit simple skill checks, ruin is consider a clutch? Okay.....Perfect logic

Here's an example to help you comprehend what I'm getting at.

The match starts and uusually survivors spawn fairly close to each other so more than likely someone will be doing a generator with you. You can hit every hex skill check while they consistently miss their greats or worse blow the gen and alert the killer of your presence.

Now you'll say "oh then go on a gen and solo it" well that's time you are using to run to a different gen instead of finishing the one you were on. Then what happens is the killer hooks someone and creates a new objective. They can camp or proxy the hook while a poor soul tries to save the hooked survivor but they will just be trading hooks until one or both are dead.

Meanwhile a gen is complete and maybe ruin is destroyed but a survivor has been sacrificed and another is on death hook hiding in a locker. The one perk ruin can allow bad games to occur and grant a false sense of actual skill, which Is why I shall continue to call it a relative crutch.

Barely has an effect on optimal survivors making it not as effective to use.

Disables inept survivors rendering them useless to their team basically existing in the just to be found and hooked.

It's a team game so yes the one, two, or three teammates that can't hit a skill check will have an adverse effect on you and ultimately the result of the match.

i play mostly wraith and legion at high rank and do fine

of course sometimes i play like garbage and lose or other times i get fractured cowshed with an even more busted setup than usual and the game slides out of my hands before i can put enough pressure out

map design being improved over time will go a long way towards making these killers more playable against better survivors. we need less enormous maps filled with stuff

Yes you'll have games where you won't play flawlessly and survivors will fly through the gens and maps on this game greatly benefit or conflict with specific killers and their potential.

It's an unfortunate thing and survivors are blind to it and will tbag at gate while you played say the plague on rotten fields and sure you can do good with her on that map but the time it takes to hook and defend generators your only hope is to choose what generators to defend in a cluster. Its foolish to think you'll be able to keep 7 gens incomplete but if you work within the strengths of the killer you are using and be realistic about which gens are able to stay within your grasp you'll at least black pip.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

    @Cymer

“A lot of killers lack the map and gen pressure and rely on the slow down of Ruin to get a chance.”

incorrect. A lot of PLAYERS lack the SKILLS to apply map/gen pressure, and lack the ability to make good judgement calls on when a chase is “safe” or when to resume pressure. Hence why Ruin is popular. It doesn’t matter which killer on the roster a player chooses.

Yes I agree with this but would like to add killers with mobility have the advantage but it's not lost for killers that lack mobility. I don't like when people make the excuse to constantly run ruin along with noed on say a trapper. It's a load of bologna, what's so wrong with learning how to navigate the map and use intuition to slow gen progress instead of depending deeply on a perk to buy them extra time to make up for their bad reads.

  • @Caz2018 said:

They are perfectly legitimate perks to use, easily countered by Small Game and/or Detective's Hunch.

Well to me they are both crutches and I've refused to depend on either to gain rank or improve myself on killers, those are just my standards i suppose. Some people are okay with being given a breath of life to improve their experience playing the game but I see it as taking away from the full experience and the challenge.

Also being forced to work within a meta just to do good isn't as rewarding to me.
