    "you people" - nice!

Notice we're talking about "creations" forum here, not suggestions and feedback - which is where we take feedback from!

So better question… has any suggestion or feedback from the suggestion and feedback part of the forum actually been used? Any examples?

  • Also they said they stopped it from spawning killers in the middle… I have spawned COUNTLESS times in the middle, with no one using any spawn offerings. I thought I finally had escaped from this insufferable design.

  • I mean it don't matter to me I'll just never play survivor again lmao. It's great to be a killer player so I can choose what I see.

  • Small sample size cause I rarely play survivor (it's not fun), but I mean… the game's are genuinely not difficult. That's why I never really understand the whole "omg the game is ruined for survivors" stuff cause like maybe I just don't play enough of it. But the fact that my killer to survivor playtime is like 95/5 and I can still manage to escape a majority of the time? Gotta mean something.

I understand some of the gripes but the game is by no means "unplayable" as survivor.

If we earn to much BPs we will play and buy less… i guess…

    … i really don´t know. You need like 385 Million BP to level all up to level 3. I n s a n e.

It doesn't even make sense though. I would assume most people already have the perks that they actually want. A lot of the survivors / killers don't even have worthwhile perks to get all of them to P3.

Are they that insecure about their core gameplay that they have to rely on grinding bloodpoints to bring people back?

All this does is annoy the veteran players who are trying to go for P100 or actually P3 everyone just for the sake of doing it and on top of that push away new players who will inevitably think "wow this is grindy as all hell and there is WAY too much stuff to unlock".

  • Same thing with the vecna addon the shaves off a whopping .1 second from the recovery after fly.

I don't understand their philosophy of making these blatantly, straight up unnoticeable to the human eye addons, that do basically nothing.

  • @Mandy said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3956119#Comment_3956119

just to correct some misinformation there - whilst data on addons tells us what is preferred there's a bit more to it than "it's used a lot therefore needs a nerf" you have to take into consideration the kill rate with that addon used, and compare it to other addons used with it. What we're seeing with this particular addon is that it increased kill rates by a pretty high percentage, more than 6% which does show that there's likely some issue with it. So whilst you might feel the effect is mediocre, the reality is that something is more problematic than it appears at first glance.

So when is pyramid head going to get his addons changed to actually have useful things? He still has the worst iri addons by a mile, and everything other than range addons or duration of paths is completely pointless.

A sadako situation? I don't recall survivors being able to steal your flag and completely disable your power…..

No they just make it seem like you have no power at all.

  • I think people use it, you just never realize it. The major problem with the doors, is because of the survivor U.I telling you when your teammate is being chased… you know it's a free TP you can get away with.

Like it's so hilariously easy to avoid getting caught in there that it makes it borderline impossible for the springtrap.

Teammate in chase? TP is free.

Teammate not in chase? Too risky, don't TP.

  • Because you're in a 1v4. It's by default more stressful, because you have way more things you need to manage.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/449865/tunneling-idea

Ive always thought of anti tunnel being completely invincible for like 20 seconds. What i mean by this is:

    • Keep the 10% Haste granted upon unhooking
    • No Collision or way for the killer to interact with that survivor by any means (no grabbing off windows/pallets, instantly eating endurance)
    • The survivor leaves no scratch marks, pools of blood, loud noise notifications or even makes grunts of pain. This effectively makes them untraceable so they can get to a safe space away from the killer
    • As usual, the benefits end when performing a conspicuous action or the effect duration ends

If its still a problem after essentially making Babysitter and Borrowed Time basekit, give Survivors the Eye of Vecna basekit when unhooked, making them completely unfindable after being unhooked for the 20 seconds stated above. Though this is pretty busted so imma keep brainstorming. Anyway, thoughts?

And then what about when you as a killer reach a situation where it's tunnel for a kill or get literally nothing? This is my problem with the anti-tunneling stuff.

Sometimes you straight up don't have a choice as killer and if you want to win you need to tunnel to generate pressure. Or even if you know you're going to lose but at least let me tunnel so I can get something out of the match.

    What then?

  • I mean the system is definitely just straight up better, but if you want to explore new perks it's not like having the perks unlocked with the prestige system stops you. Just need to force yourself to try other stuff.

Or do what I do. Dbd randomizer website, and just let it fly.

Yeah I get this map far more often than the NEVER I would prefer to get it.

    Ah yes.

"I wish they would drop the killer sided map and put on some survivor sided stuff! The real good stuff!"

I'm just kidding, but seriously autohaven and macmillan can go burn.

  • Games are either 4k stomps at 5-4 gens or the most gen efficient survivors of all time and 2 of them loop like they can see me through walls.

I've run scourge hooks a lot myself, especially this one, and it's pretty uncommon to not be able to get to a white hook.

If you're worried about that, Agitation makes that even less likely, and that perk's pretty underrated in its own right. I wouldn't say that's necessary though.

Yes but like I told the other person, it's like saying "just run shattered hope" for when boons were broken. You're asking killers to run and waste a perk slot on a niche specific perk to half counter a strong survivor perk. It's just not good.

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3955499#Comment_3955499

Yea also a strong perk… and?

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3955488#Comment_3955488

Yeah, but you will always get value out of Weeping Wounds. Even more so if Resurgence is not in play. This is really a bad comparison.

But I will save you the grasping for straws and just offer you that you can tell me in a month that I was right and Healing is not as bad as you thought it would be once Killers moved on to the next >current thing< which makes them lose games. (We get two new Survivors, with probably 3 Perks each - there got to be something which will ruin the Killer experience and makes them quit!)

Yea except you won't because weeping wounds isn't a good perk lol. there's a reason no one uses it.

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3955452#Comment_3955452

Botany is just okay. Desperate Measures isn't good unless you're in a losing position.

A free 50% healing increase with zero requirements / specific attachments necessary, is a bit more than just "okay".

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3955452#Comment_3955452

And I guess you only calculate Desperate Measures at max value to prove your point?

The same way you'll probably tell me to bring niche killer perk #142 to barely counter a strong perk survivors have. Don't try to be condescending with me.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3955466#Comment_3955466

My point and opinion is simple, a 2-3 second heal, is egregious. No matter what way you spin it.

But Weeping Wounds makes the heal take longer than 2-3 seconds. Hemorrhage drops the heal charges done by Resurgence to 8, so 8 charges are still left. Those are done with 1,2 second/charge, so it takes around 9,6 seconds to heal from 50% to full. Big difference from the 2-3 seconds you are complaining about.

It's the same thing as survivors who just said "oh if boons are a problem bring shattered hope".

"Bring this niche perk to only half counter this one thing"

    It's silly.

  • @jesterkind said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3955461#Comment_3955461

Right, but now it just sounds like you're agreeing with me. The buff wasn't a big deal and had practically no impact because the perk was already really good.

It just makes it better, because there's no negative affect to worry about. Which means it will be more common.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3955450#Comment_3955450

No, it is just that Survivors have to adapt according to Killers. Yet, if something is bothering them (even if it is a non-issue like Botany Knowledge buffed a bit so that you dont need a brown Add On anymore…), they demand changes.

Pain Res is not even teh only good Gen Regression Perk, this is just you claiming something. Hook RNG is no problem at all, I never have an issue with finding a Scourge Hook, it almost never happens that I dont find one. And I highly doubt I am the outlier.

Saying that Weeping Wounds should remove all progress and is bad because it is not doing it is also a bit strange. That it is not worth it, because it is not possible to reliably stop Resurgence all the time is also… odd. This would mean that we should gigabuff a lot of Anti-Tunnel Perks, because they are not reliably stopping tunneling all the time?

Really, you reduce the Progress done by Resurgence from 70% to around 50%. On top of it Weeping Wounds applies Mangled, meaning that the Healing is slower. And IF the Killer comes back to the Hook, they will most likely either have at least a Health State of Damage if the Survivors commit OR the Healing Progress gone completely. It takes like 3 or 4 seconds to remove that 70% with Hemorrhage, it is absurdly fast.

And even IF the Survivor is fully healed you:

    • Made the healing take longer due to Hemorrhage
    • Made the healing take longer due to Mangled
    • Have a Debuff on that Survivor which lowers their Gen Repair Speed

I dont really see how this is not value.

Pain res is 100% the only good regression perk because every other gen regression perk has been nerfed beyond belief. Even pain res has, but at least it retained SOMETHING.

You're turning this into an us vs them argument, that I don't really care about because I'm not here to do that. My point and opinion is simple, a 2-3 second heal, is egregious. No matter what way you spin it.

I'm not saying weeping wounds should remove all progress, I never said that. I'm saying the amount of progress resurgence gives for free off a hook, is too much for weeping wounds to even matter. And yes, hook rng does affect things. To say you've never had a problem finding a scourge hook, I believe is a straight up lie.

  • @jesterkind said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3955452#Comment_3955452

Botany functionally hasn't changed, though. Genuinely- am I missing something about Botany that changed with the latest buff here? What makes this downplaying and not just accurate?

The point is the base free 50% increased healing was already strong, it dissuaded people from using it due to the negative medkit affect. With that gone, more people will use it.

I mean seriously, it's free 50% increase healing. No specific scenarios required, no tokens, nothing. It's just free.

  • @Mr_K said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3955443#Comment_3955443

then people need to get off poor botany's case and complain about resurgence.

It's not just botany, it's also desperate measures. It's healing buffs in general. Though I do think y'all downplay the botany buff to an egregious degree.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3955434#Comment_3955434

And yet Pain Resonance, a Scourge Hook-Perk is one of the most used Perk. You will always find some excuse to not adapt, eh?

It's not an excuse and that isn't comparable.

Here's the big difference! Pain res, is the only good gen regression perk left and it ALSO has the downside of hook rng, but at least the effect it causes is worth the risk. DUH people will use it. The effect is 10x better than a perk that will only counter a singular other perk and even then isn't guaranteed and even THEN the other perk can activate 8 times in a game, and even THEN it really only counters it slightly because it's not actually removing all the progress, only some of it. You are not going to be reliably stopping it all the time.

You will always find some excuse to try and make it seem like people don't want to adapt while you suggest poor counterplay, eh?

  • It's a lot less about botany and more so people starting to realize how busted resurgence is. I just see multiple of them now practically every game. It makes healing off the hook basically inconsequential. There's basically no time wasted doing it.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3955048#Comment_3955048

Still Weeping Wounds/Gift of Pain. The Hemorrhage removes around 20% of the healing progress, since you cannot heal immediatly after the Unhook. It is even more if the other Survivor does not start healing right away (in general, if they dont heal within 3 or 4 seconds the progress is completely gone). The Mangled also give you time to go back to the hook - not even to tunnel, but also to remove the progress.

    @Topic:

    https://youtu.be/V6qLaET0et4?si=sy1_yjVIJxbBRYhI&t=257

Scott Jund talks about it in this video, I timestamped the healing part. And the changes are not really that impactful, people claim that Botany Knowledge got gigabuffed, but it really did not. I would also say that a game with 3 Botany Knowledges is really an outlier. Resurgence = weeping wounds, also mentioned in the video.

But this only applies if you want to actually hear arguments and not just claim that you lose because of the >current thing<. After you lost games because of Duty of Care. Or Shoulder the Burden. Or whatever was >current thing< before that.

So the counter is a scourge hook you can't probably won't even be able to realistically apply all of the time. Because scourge hooks aren't guaranteed… cmon man.

  • @MDRSan said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3955048#Comment_3955048

Tell me you go into matches planning to tunnel without saying you go into matches planning to tunnel.

The counter is to hit them twice again or go hit someone else. I remember a time when healing was so sluggish and miserable survivors didn’t bother doing it. Now with smaller maps and a good number of killers that can be on any gen they want in moments things have to move faster to not make solo queue matches overly oppressive to survivor games.

Who said anything about tunneling??? Do you think the complaint of 2-3 second heals off of hook is exclusive to someone who wants to tunnel?

Did it ever cross your mind that maybe I dislike it because it removes the entire passive slowdown of healing, which then leads to more time on gens, which then leads to faster gen completions?

  • @HeroLives said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3955043#Comment_3955043

If you truly think that given the lengthy amount of combinations you can string together not only in perks but also killers and their addons, you honestly have bigger fish to fry than if they’re healing fast.

Please. Go ahead and tell me what counters survivors coming off the hook immediately with 70% progress, outside of proxy camping the hook so they can't heal at all.

  • @HeroLives said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3955029#Comment_3955029

There are so many ways to slow down the game. It doesn’t even have to be a 1 for 1. There’s over a 100 perks in this game. There’s basically counterplay to everything in this game if you search hard enough on either side.

Oh for sure you can slowdown in other ways, but when it comes to resurgence? There is zero counter to it, outside of proxy camping the hook.

  • @HeroLives said:

    counter perks.

There's no counter to resurgence providing 2-3 second heals off of hook. Leverage, the perk that LITERALLY nerfs healing when they're fresh off a hook, is completely unnoticeable. If the killer perk specifically designed to counter heals off a hook… is completely garbage against heals off a hook. Then yea, I'm going to out on a limb and say there isn't actually much counterplay to it.

  • @ralecgos said:

Perks like Resurgence have been buffed the way they are for a long time. Botany gets a small quality of life buff, and people go insane acting like this is the reason they can't win their matches now.

The game needs to give killers better BASELINE gen regression and slowdown so they don't feel forced into playing 4 gen regression perks every game. Survivors got much needed baseline changes to camping and tunneling and they've worked out fine. The only thing killers got for gens was a small buff to their kick regression and no more 1-tap to stop regression.

They need to do more for this that isn't just "make gens take 120 seconds to repair" because that would be hella boring and solve nothing.

Resurgence buff happening a while ago doesn't change that people are starting to now catch on to it. I'm seeing multiple resurgences EVERY game. Leverage doesn't even do anything against it, it's completely unnoticeable. It's like with CoB. When it released, no one gave a damn about it even though it was 200% for the longest time. And then it caught on, and then it got nerfed.

I'm not saying I'm losing every match on planet earth. I'm not saying all hell has broken loose. I'm simply saying, they are starting to create a heal meta that can very quickly get out of hand. Because people stopped using botany since it would directly effect their own medkits. Since that is gone, people are just going to use it for the free value 50% increase in healing.

I'm sorry, but I am of the belief that heals off of hooks shouldn't only take 2-3 seconds. That is busted to me imo.

  • This but for me with garden of joy and ormond. I get ormond went through some changes, same with garden of joy… but everytime I get these maps as killer, I just roll my eyes. If I'm not playing a mobility killer or something with a teleport, I already know it's done.

How garden of joy's main building still exists as it does it unfathomable to me. It is the freest, no effort loop you can have as a survivor because it has the god window of all god windows that goes directly into a T and L wall, or loops back into a god pallet if the killer managed to get close.

  • @CrypticGirl said:

People sure do love to use that to invalidate any and all Survivor frustrations.  (Mind you, I'm not saying those things don't happen, but they are in the minority.) There is way more to the DC/go-next epidemic than just not liking the Killer/map/perks, etc.

People leaving because of dumb reasons are 100% NOT in the minority.

  • @AmpersandUnderscore said:

I'm not sure why you feel the need to be condescending, but I suspect it's because you don't have a valid response otherwise.

The heal buffs aren't contributing to Gen speeds nearly as much as the devs literally giving your location away for free if you don't slam gens as hard as possible.

The afk system has been heavily nerfed down no? So it isn't that. It's the fact that you have to spend a near inconsequential amount of time healing. You can get off a hook and be full health in literally 2-3 seconds flat. Botany losing the medkit negative means that more people will run it for the free 50% increased healing because they don't have to worry about negatively affecting themselves with the medkit negative.

Less time spent healing = more time on gens. Idk why you act like even both things can't be true lmfao.

  • Because if you could just drop pallet and they would have to go all the way around the guards would be even more useless than they already are. I mean seriously, the guards are so useless you can completely break them by just running towards a pallet / window and running the opposite direction.

    1. It has nothing to do with the map
    2. It has nothing to do with not liking which killer it is
    3. It’s because they slugged 2 people and went for the last survivor just to get a 4k which is unfair and dumb

I'm talking about in general not just this specific situation.

The killer slugged us and he didn’t even pick us up he was trying to find the last survivor and this kind of stuff is very annoying and needs to be fixed anti slugged should be talked about. Matches have been going too quickly because a killer wants to end us in seconds by slugging.

Well they dc because of that…

And because they didn't like the map. And because they didn't like the killer. And because they had a bad first chase, yea that too. Oh and also if their teammate has a bad chase, yea they'll dc over that too.

One perk had a downside removed and suddenly people think it's a healing meta.

Maybe, just maybe, it's the fact that the devs pushed out not just one, but two poorly concieved mechanics this patch that both hard punished survivors for not doing gens. Probably has something to do with people focusing on gens more right now.

Nah, that can't be it. Clearly we need to find a survivor nerf in here somewhere.

You can downplay the botany buff all you want and ignore the desperate measures buff all you want as well. All it lets me know is that you don't understand the game as much as you believe you do.

    And that's perfectly okay.

  • @jesterkind said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3954307#Comment_3954307

But isn't your position also that there's only one good regression perk?

It still feels like you're putting a lot of weight on regression as a subclass over blocking, or repair speed penalty. If there's only one good one for each, aren't they equal and shouldn't we be talking about all slowdown?

For the record, while I don't think any of the perks I namedropped are bad, I have to push back against saying Grim's only good at the fourth stack. Grim Embrace for the first three activations enforces nobody working on generators while you get into your next chase, which is very impactful if you're actually capitalising on it.

    Let's be real. It's 10 seconds. It's barely anything.

I don't talk about all slowdown, because the post isn't about all slowdown… it's about regression, because regression is the subclass of slowdown that I've seen actively get butchered over the years. Blocking and repair penalty were never the top dog and never really that relevant up until the more recent years of DBD, so I have no reason to speak on them.

Hasn't Resurgence been 70% for quite some time though? I would think if it was having the effect you believe it does we'd have seen it before now.

Same thing happened with CoB. It was 200% the whole time and didn't start seeing use until later.

  • @jesterkind said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3954293#Comment_3954293

    I mean, what's the difference?

They both have the same goal: Increase the amount of time until the generator's finished. Blocking and removing charges have the same effect there, I don't see why removing charges should inherently be better than blocking.

Historically the regression perks were better, but that's just how the perks were balanced. Now the blocking perks are, arguably, better- at least overall, Pain Res is still the best slowdown tool. Either way, same result, the generator takes longer to finish.

The difference is that only one of the block perks actually means something. DMS requires pain res to be useful. Grim embrace isn't useful until you 4 hook. Deadlock is the only one consistently providing something and doesn't require the already best regression perk in the game to provide it's use.

  • @jesterkind said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3954262#Comment_3954262

None of the perks I mentioned suck and I'm happy to back that up with some arguments, but the real thing I want to ask is: Why does regression get this pedestal?

I don't get it, sincerely. Even if only one regression perk is any good… why does that outweigh the multiple other slowdown perks that are good? Why does it have to be regression specifically having multiple options, and not other kinds of slowdown? The list I gave you only contains one regression perk and it still broke double digits of good strong tools. Why is it a problem that only one of them is regression?

Because regression actually sets BACK the progress of the survivor objective. Blocking doesn't set them back, it just means they'll go to a different gen. There's also the problem that most of the blockers don't actually do that. deadlock is really the only one. Grim embrace is inconsequential up until the 4th hook. DMS requires pain res.

Wretched fate only slows down one person and even then it's slowing them down compared to forcing them back. it's a large difference imo.

The buffs are botany for medkits and felix perk. Resurgence and we'll make it insta healed you before this patch so nothing's changed when it comes to that.

yes so it's a healing buff…??? A self healing buff at that. And then you have the buffs to desperate measures on top of that.

    @thrawn3054 said:

I haven't been seeing a bunch of healing perks in my games. Obviously that doesn't mean it's not happening at all but it just doesn't seem to be the issue it's being made out to be. If healing is an issue in your matches I suggest bringing Sloppy Butcher. At a minimum it will slow those heals down a bit and with some luck it can decimate Resurgence.

I've started to see a WHOLE lot of botany. regardless the shift isn't going to happen immediately, it'll take time for people to realize just how busted it is. Especially resurgence. immediate 70% progress off of hook is ridiculous, it makes healing off of hook instead of taking the usual time, it's like 2-3 seconds. It shaves off SO much time.

  • @BorisDDAA said:

Ya'll just find the next thing to complain about. Suddenly healing is a problem when not too long ago there was a massive outcry on syringes and orela haste perk but those are not talked about anymore. Map offerings got nuked, survivor always spawn together so less gen efficiency but gens are going faster than ever? Mmm

Well if you would read the post… gens are going faster, because healing is going faster. Healing wasn't being complained about being healing didn't just get fresh buffs. But they did now.

Ruin doesn't suck, it just requires active gameplay to get consistent results out of, and keeping survivors off generators can be pretty hard for a lot of killers. That's why I say it's for the best to run it with other hex perks - where you're getting value no matter what - or Surveillance - where you're getting very up-to-date info on when survivors touch generators again.

Eruption does have that issue, yes. It's why I don't consider it very strong where otherwise it would be, on the right killers. I will say, while I do see the warning spikes pop up while using Eruption, I've never actually seen a gen get blocked outright. If you don't wanna risk it, fair enough, I'm just pointing out it has its own use case.

As for gen blockers only being the best of the best…

There are, by my count after consulting the wiki, six good blocking perks. Corrupt Intervention, Dead Man's Switch, Deadlock/No Holds Barred, Grim Embrace, Merciless Storm, and Thrilling Tremors.

Admittedly, Thrilling Tremors is sorta more of an info perk but it does block gens and that is useful for slowing gen repair a little, so it counts. It's also just still outright good overall.

We can add Pain Res for seven, and for the sake of meeting you halfway, we won't include any other direct regression perks.

However, we will add Gift of Pain/Weeping Wounds, Pentimento, and Wretched Fate for ten, because those perks are genuinely good slowdown as well.

If the best of the best is a total of ten perks, and we have less useful but still viable perks like Jolt/Surge, Ruin, sorta Pop, and sorta Eruption as backups… is that really a problem? That's quite a reasonable variety of tools, especially considering there's no real reason to run more than one or maybe two depending on what kind of build you're going for.

Add in that each of those nine perks has a whole suite of supporting perks that work really well for them, with only a little overlap for similar perks, and variety is really good overall.

Ruin sucks because the amount it regresses is inconsequential. It's the difference of saving 2.5 seconds of needing to kick a gen. But the regression itself, is abysmal.

Merciless storm isn't good. Thrilling tremors is nothing but an info perk. Wretched fate slows down a singular person. And pentimento has also been nerfed.

No, I don't think it's right that with the amount of regression perks there are, that somehow only 1 is actually good. That is not okay.

More time spent on healing = less time on gens is only really an effective argument in the first place if survivors are actually spending time healing which they arent. Not really. When you can full heal someone right off the hook in the killers face so fast it happens in like 3 seconds, thats not slowing survivors down at all.

Yea that's my point. Healing (especially off the hook) is entirely inconsequential because you can do it in 2 seconds flat.

Right, but my point is, why limit yourself to just regression? Even if all of those perks were terrible… they're not the only kind of slowdown, there are other types of perks that perform an identical function within your build that are much, much better. Outside of something like Undone, I can't think of any gen-blocking perks that aren't good off the top of my head— limiting yourself to just regression makes it seem like your options for slowing the game down are dwindling and worthless, but they're not.

As for regression perks themselves, they're doing okay. There are some genuinely weak ones like Undone or even arguably Pop, but most of them work in the right build or on the right killer- for example, while Ruin's by no means top tier, it does work pretty okay if you support it with other hexes, or with something like Surveillance. Similarly, Eruption's pretty decent on very mobile killers that can kick gens quickly, like Wraith or Blight. There are options, they're just not as crazy, no-effort impactful as Pain Res is.

Which, for the record, they shouldn't have to be. The bulk of your slowdown should be coming from your gameplay and these perks should only be enhancing it.

Except they don't enhance it. Ruin at 100% sucks. Eruption is a detriment to use, it's not about what killers can use it or not. Any killer can use eruption, the problem is the regression it gives DOES NOT make it worth the fact that it eats up 2 regression events for one use out of it. The only time I ever see the regression events start kicking in, is when I use eruption. It's a detriment.

I never said I only limit myself to regression my point is the only other options you brought up were the gen blocker perks that are the same thing as pain res. The top of the top.

Because again, it's either the top or nothing because the other stuff is woefully bad.

I mean you can delete the perk botany right now, and you will still play against instant heals with we'll make it+ resurgence +med kits, so yeah complain about botany if you want

Why are you acting like the only thing I pointed out is botany?

  • @rvzrvzrvz said:

if you want to complain maybe complain about the right thing, people are healing quick mostly because of we'll make it and resurgence… and medkits with add ons are very strong, minor buff to botany doesn't change anything

Yea if we're calling the botany buff "minor" then we're just being disingenuous.

    I also did say resurgence.
