Like someone said before, it's about coding.
Let's say there's 3 people and 1 gen left (which is the minimum requirement with 3 people left).
1 person takes hatch out and the killer closes it behind them. There's still 2 people left in the match so the match plays out normally. So if one of those two people dies and there's 1 left, the game goes through with the coding. Last survivor remaining = open hatch. Not that difficult to understand

We’re you depipping in the first game? The one you got 800 then complained about matchmaking?
I was thinking the same thing. If you had even attempted to play that game, you would've ended with more points than that, bad matchmaking or not

Then you should know the game still needs work.
I never claimed the game was perfect and didn't need work. I said it's relatively balanced.
Trust that I know there are a plethora of issues with this game. Hitboxes, killer favored latency, map size, getting kicked out of my lobby every time I change my challenge in the rift, lots of problems
-
@Mister_Holdout said:
Sorry, but some of us have thousands of hours, and we know that the game has issues.
The veterans will keep complaining until the devs do the right thing and improve balance.
I have over 2000 hours so..... it has nothing to do with hours

Devs: *release stats*
Community: "These stats suck and I don't believe them and even if they're like 90% accurate, I'm going to take the 10% flaw and say they're totally invalid."
Devs: *don't release stats*
Community: "Why don't you all release stats more? Yall are just biased and trying to hide things"
-
So you want a full stack of devour hope in less than 2 minutes without the work that Devour Hope requires you to put in?
-
But it's a strategy so it's okay :)
-
Basically if you don't have Borrowed Time, you're forced to let the killer play like a boring dick and ruin the match for the hooked person, and really everyone because everyone else has to play m1 simulator
-
Infectious Fright
Encourages scummy and boring gameplay
No Mither
For being utterly useless, playing constant injured music, and still allows you to drop blood orbs against Oni even though the perk isn't supposed to let you bleed at all

@MegHasCuteFeet said:
DS + Unbreakable literally no counterplay lmfao
the counterplay is don't tunnel lmfao XD
-
Nope. Not worth it at all. Higher ranks just means long queue times and awful killers/survivors
-
Because you're being dramatic and it's honestly not that serious. I get 3-4 kills in most of my games and rarely ever get hit by DS because I don't tunnel *shrug*
-
Even when I play killer which is about 40% of my time roughly, I hardly ever get hit with DS.
- because I don't tunnel and intentionally ignore the unhooked person to chase the hooked one (unless the gate is already open)
- the likelihood that I end up back on the same person off hook within 60 seconds happens so rarely that it seems inconsequential to me based on my playstyle. I'd rather leave a game with 1 or 2 kills where everyone had fun than camp someone for a single kill. Hell, I'd rather they all escape after being hooked twice than camp. But that's just me and everyone has their own playstyle
-
People keep talking about metas and survivors all using 4 or 5 outrageous perks, specifically adrenaline . I stopped using adenaline over a year ago and hardly anyone uses it anymore. It's awesome when it works but in most matches, I'm either dead before end game or already fully healthy because I don't play injured, and i just get a little sprint burst.
-
So the only thing this seems to prove is that you can bring a killer who everyone claims is trash, give them a meme add on to make their power weaker, use random off meta perks and still 4k without a single door being opened.
Is that what you were trying to prove?
-
Eh, my friends and I USE to do this before the DC penalty.
I don't see why it bothers you so much tbh unless you're going for some kind of achievement or challenge (unlikely)
the person who DC's gets a penalty, loses any items they brought in, AND get no points out of the match which means they wasted time queueing up for the match and playing the match.
Also novel idea, just hook people and use your perks to find the last person or your faster movement speed to find the hatch before the survivor does. I hear BBQ after the hook and Whispers work quite well. If you find this happening often enough to come here and complain about it, maybe stop causing the situation in the first place and just hook the 3rd person.

Bro imagine if you stop to hear a quarter of the survivors ideas,I am a hybrid and already hear a lot of stupid ideas from killers, but nothing overcomes the group of survivors asking for 5 perks slots or for each exhaustion perk have it one timer.
Also a hybrid but on top of that, there were the killer mains saying they should get an extra slot for each person in a SWF group AND the survivors should lose a perk slot per person in SWF. Meaning they wanted to run like 7 perks against 4 players each running 1 perk XD
There's been some wild bs spouted by both sides in these forums
-
@ProfessorDunwich said:
What is the thought process here? A sabo time of 2.5 seconds is going to make coordinated SWF even more of a nightmare. It will even be a challenge against solo survivors who want to use it. Not only do Killers have to deal with flying gens, now they have to worry about hooks dropping right in front of them.
lmao we complaining about Sabo now??? Sabo has been useless for a long time with the number of hooks and the distance in between hooks on some maps. Like literally on the Plague's level, I've been hooked less that 5 seconds walking distance from another survivor. Saboing against that is useless because the killer always has like 5 hooks within walking distance.

BBQ

Any times the DEVS release numbers, the community doesn't believe them anyway. *sips tea*
(this is sarcasm and I know these types of numbers are different. Gotta say that sadly since sarcasm doesn't translate well online)
-
Sigh. I hate playing immersed and this going to make me do just that.
-
Wack.
I thought it used to counter whispers at one point in time
-
@SnakeSound222 said:
Then she could just bring Whispers to have an easier time finding you.
Does Whispers work against people in lockers?
-
You can also do this at the exit gate as you're about to leave. If the killer is chasing you and other out the gate and someone else is injured, take the hit and you'll get the protection points.
-
@CrassardStreams said:
Even the devs don't particularly care for killer, it's just there so survivors gets points /s
Seriously though, this game is really survivor sided and it's laughably easy to bully a killer depending on the matchmaking (which is total mess right now) Most survivors are gonna spend all EGC teabagging at gates and throughout the round teabagging, healing, and flashlight clicking at pallets and any other stun. Lately Head On has become quite popular, but Decisive Strike is still on basically everyone along with Unbreakable
@ApeOfMazor said:
Stop giving survivors so many ######### 2nd chances with these stupid perks. Its ridiculous. They can troll and act bold cause they know they have perks to protect them and enable their troll behavior.
You need not look further than the first 2 comments in the thread to understand the point OP is trying to make. They're talking about the community being toxic and the first 2 people respond by attacking survivors which is not at ALL what this thread is about and is toxic in itself.
The irony is real
-
@Fibijean said:
I'm very confused. Why are so many people using this post as an excuse to attack survivors specifically? Is it because of the example OP used, even though the post as a whole was very clearly about the community in general, regardless of who mains who? Did people not read past the first paragraph? What am I missing here?
Because people don't read and this community is toxic, further proving the OP's point. They just don't see the irony in their own killer sided toxicity
-
Probably related to the Social Justice Warrior thing in the lore.
And if it is about that, idk OP wouldn't just say that instead of basically subtweeting and beating around the bush.
-
I said this as soon as that annoying elephant clown crap came out. If you can give that annoying bastard a goofy outfit, can we at least get the outfit for a character people like? XD (can you tell I hate the Clown?)
-
No Mither
Self Care
Inner Strength
Second Wind
Med-kit with pink add on
All of that is just to emphasize how shite No Mither is and how it should never be used outside of getting an achievement or challenge done until the devs give it the 2x bloodpoint boost it deserves.
-
it wouldn't be too difficult honestly. After stream, hypothetically they could just queue up for matches while they go AFK and do whatever life things they have to do. Die and then queue up for more matches.
It would take some time and I've considered doing it myself, I just haven't had the time to because it seems tedious.
-
After being on the ground for 2 minutes, you should have the option to sacrifice yourself to the entity to be honest. Nothing is more boring than being forced to lay on the ground for 4 minutes while a killer sweats for a 4k
-
I still find it funny that people consider things like Dead Hard, Unbreakable, and Borrowed Time to be examples of why survivors are "OP"
Dead Hard sucks and I literally never used it outside of getting David's adept achievement. It barely works half the time. And even on the rare occasions where it works the first time, once the killer knows you have it, they just wait it out and let you use it then immediately hit you 2 seconds later
Unbreakable requires the killer to leave the survivor on the ground which at that point, it's their fault the survivor got to use the perk in the first place.
Borrowed Time (in my experience and how I use it) is only used to get survivors out of being camped. No camping = no borrowed time. Sure there are some idiots who just immediately farm people with the killer still there, but unless the gates are open and close, that's an advantage for the killer.
-
This is such a non-issue lol. Literally you have a minimum of 2 people doing nothing when this happens and when they eventually make a move, it's a guaranteed hook unless you're bad
-
I only put Borrowed time on when I've gone to consecutive games of campy/tunneling ass killers (i know, iTs a StRatEgy but it's still low skill/high reward so I'll hate you regardless) and get tired of them getting easy lazy kills.
And like once a month, I'll throw on Unbreakable when I get tired of getting slugged. Might use it more often now with the DC penalty. I'm sure killers are gonna slug even more for their precious 4th kill...
-
I don't run meta perks because you don't need them on either side to win :) plain and simple.
But also, I love Lithe, I run plunderers to farm items, I love having we'll make it to heal people, and my 4th is usually inner strength for healing. I don't like playing injured.
-
Gen speeds are fine and I play both sides. I don't want a match to drag out. I want to be in and out (without being tunneled and camped/morid)
Yes longer matches tend to favor the killer but they're also boring.
-
My hate for Legion has been pretty consistent. At first they were annoying AND broken (moonwalk, look at the ground to break chase crap)
Now they're just annoying.
I don't like being chased, hit, and then left alone to run around injured or find someone to heal me (because who runs self care anymore). I'd rather get downed and killed than hurt and left alone. The matches drag and they go on forever. I like quick matches
-
tried to attack someone with Wraith without uncloaking..... 3 times.... in the same match.
-
When I spawn on top of a hill and have direct line of sight with the killer (Myers) already looking at me in the distance (has happened more than once)
Forgetting to select a challenge
Being on any indoor map
The second I see someone go into Deep Wounds and realize it's a Legion and I'm in for a boring/annoying match
Finding out the killer is Hag and the entire match is going to be a camp fest
-
People are still saying this nonsense? I've run Michael, Trapper, Huntress, Wraith, and Doc in red ranks.
And I've seen Pigs, Hags, Leatherfaces, Demogorgons, Plagues.... actually every killer win in red ranks. So..... no. this whole thread is based on a false premise
-
The risk is that you're not spending time on a gen. No extra risk is necessary
-
People used maps to find totems?
Maps have always been the most useless item in the game to me
The only times I used a map were:
-When I had a challenge to do so
-If I found it in a chest and wanted the points for map searching
-
On both sides, I mindgame myself by always think the opposition is going to mindgame when they literally just run straight and I mess myself up.
-
@Umbrae_pk said:
They don't? This is why they always make constant changes to their game? Constant changes to perks, maps, and certain killer powers? It's because they don't listen or care? Hm. Makes PERFECT sense.
You DO NOT understand how much the game has changed if only you've been around for a while.
The pallets have been less and less.
Slow vaults are now a thing.
Killers with traps who depend on early game have been getting buffs.
They nerfed insta- heals because they LISTENED to the killers
They nerfed the 2 most top tier killers because they HEARD the survivors.
And the list just goes on and on and on... Basically, yes, BHVR DOES listen to us. Most of you are just too entitled and ungrateful to realize is.
Your attempt was noble but some people are just here to whine and complain.
The Devs listen and deal with things in their own time. Games take time to patch, change, update, etc. People are looking for next day and next week fixes and the team at BHVR isn't big enough for that. This is a small game company, not Microsoft or Apple. The team makes necessary changes when they can.

I’m confused you say new killers do better than new survivors, but you started by saying the game is much easier for beginning survivors than killers?
Also I won’t agree, and I have lots of hours as both role and have reached red rank as both (for what it’s worth anymore.). New killers have no help and must juggle 4 players.
Typo, I meant easier for beginning killers
-
The past year or so of survivor nerfs (from the exhaustion changes to present) would like to speak with you.
-Healing speed nerf on top of a self care nerf on top of a sloppy butcher buff making self care one of the worst perks in the game
-Mettle of man, insta heals, balanced landing nerfs
-The missed opportunity to make No Mither have an actual use (if you don't bleed, you shouldn't drop blood orbs against Oni. I still stand by that but it's not a serious issue because the perk is still dumb)
-Nerfs to gen speed when working with other survivors
-Leader nerf
And plenty more that I can;t remember off the top of my head. To sit here and say nothing is done for killers is a false narrative thrown around in this echo chamber forum.
-
The game is much harder for beginning survivors than beginning killers. Technically beginning killers don't have Ruin anyway unless they get Ruin from the Shrine or immediately purchase and raise the Hag to 40 before playing any other killer.
That's kind of the reason I only use Ruin on killers who NEED it (Trapper, Hag, Michael). For everyone else, it's just a crutch that can be compensated for by knowing how to end chases quickly (whether that be by catching the person or switching to an easier target)
That's not to say that new killers don't struggle. But new killers do MUCH better than new survivors and EVERYONE with any experience in this game will agree to that at least.
-
that's really stupid.
-
Wait, what do you mean it can't be used?
When someone stops working on a gen, does it automatically start sparking and stops the killer from kicking it?
