"Punished Severely"
*Looks up*
O_O
-
The bully tactic is DS->Head On->Head On->DS->Head On in the endgame >_>;;
-
Him throwing away a guaranteed grab has effected him the most in that video - If he had stayed in Treatment Mode the entire time, it would be an unwinnable scenario for you.
You made a very bad play by going into the basement that was rewarded by a tremendously terrible throw by the Doctor.
As a result of your success, you think that this was a good play, but it was a throw by the Doctor.
https://youtu.be/x2wTRfWzz1Y?t=112
If he had stayed in Treatment and mashed M1, there would be two people in the basement.
The game will also auto adjust-him for the grab animation even if he is not "directly" behind you.
If you do not understand this, there is not much else I can say :(
Good Luck in your future games.

yes/no binary question first:
do you realize in the video that the doctor was in treatment mode? lul
what is your goal/glitch here friend?
Weird.
Looks like he switched to Punishment Mode when you went into the basement, particularly when your madness stops building and you are near the hook, what with his hand not being raised and there being no electrical field.
Are you sure you know what I am talking about? Can you please explain what you think I am referring to (serious question)? I'd be more than happy to go in-depth if you don't.

Yes/No - Binary question:
Do you realize that if the Doctor was in treatment mode, that is a 100% impossible save?

if you're a chump with a basement macro vs actually trying to play the game normally, i don't mind riding the hook out with that guy cuz you're a sad sack who apparently needs a hook/pip more than i do..
in reality tho, as much as you are trying to make your point, i have been making clutch saves for years now and the scenario you describe happens in maybe 1 out of 15+ attempts. this is not a reason worth discouraging people from attempting to play the game over.
also notice how i'm avoiding the doctor being behind me as much as possible? i'm trying to force him to swing. if he does hit that button and it isn't a guaranteed pull, no matter what happens i just won. his macro would cause him to swing, hit something, and recover, providing me the time i needed to unhook.
also notice i was very generously rewarded with 2 WGLF stacks, that's right, an additional 50% total score bonus, making it more than worth my time to take a chance and see if i can best him.
you say this doctor was too dumb to play or was intentionally throwing the game or whatever, but to you i say if your point was true, if Doctor was a "no-can-defend" hook guardian, we'd probably see a lot more of him in lower ranks than we do.
just because you like a killer or think you have some super sweet killer kung fu doesn't mean you've been around the block enough to know yet.
You don't need to be a "chump with a basement macro."
You can casually press M1 at a 1-2 clicks per second rate and do this.
You're talking about him swinging and missing with a macro - There is no swinging in Treatment Mode.
You're literally writing walls of text without even understanding the technique that is being discussed.
"just because you like a killer or think you have some super sweet killer kung fu doesn't mean you've been around the block enough to know yet." - Profound Sadness

i'm not sure where your joke comes in..
a lot of people assume every killer they load into a match with is the sweatiest of the sweaty.. fact is most killers don't have much of a clue.
were there mistakes made by the killer in the video? yes. the video is intended to show that even ol' zappy tappy is easy enough to best so get in there and get some experience learning how. for your reference, this particular doctor was rank 5, not rank 20.
i assume that most people who legitimately complain about camping are closer to rank 15 than 5, where there would be even more mistakes made. lower rank players who don't save people are cemented in the mindset that is just wrong & boring & there's no helping them..
surprisingly nobody's brought it up, but this can even be done successfully against 1 hit down killers such as hillbilly & leather face, with practice of course, and once you start pulling off clutch saves, the game will change into something completely different and way better than the old hide-and-seek stuff.
The "Joke" is that in Treatment Mode, the rescue that you made vs Doctor is 100% impossible. Literally 100%. If they ride your back mashing M1 - in this scenario, the Doctor is guarenteed a ZERO HIT DOWN (grab). You then proceeded to use this very, very poor example as the crux of your argument, going so far as to post a video of this Doctor. Without knowing/doing this (I'm imagining it was the former), this Doctor is throwing the game, whether intentionally or not.
-
@chieftaco said:
you guys could just not leave your teammate on the hook getting camped.. i made a video to demonstrate since this seems to be such a hot recurring topic..
If the Doc was 'good,' he'd have stayed in Treatment mode and just mashed M1 as fast as he could (you can grab people in Treatment) at any Unhook attempts, literally guaranteeing a grab and a second Basement hook.
So yeah, you can dance around someone that is not using a 100% GUARANTEED GRAB in the basement...
Figured you'd recognize all this bad play at 5k hours.

That information would not kill every killer. Survivors that don't hear the heartbeat of killers will work on gens anyway. It would just be a nice little extra for solo survivors. It's not like every killer is killed by swf.
Also, killer queue times are longer than survivor queue times, at least on pc. I think inreasing objective time would kill the game, unless you enjoy 30 minute queue times as killer.
1 Survivor being chased = Everyone else has free reign.
It's literally one of the major reasons people hate 3-4 man SWF.

I meant being effective at lasting long in a chase.
Also, I'm pretty sure the majority of the community would want to have that feature where survivors can see if some survivor is being chased or not by looking at their icon below, so that should be a thing anyways.
This change will kill every killer, aside from Nurse and MAYBE Spirit.
Of course, Killers/Gen-Times would be buffed in compensation, hopefully before the game is killed.
-
Looping - With SWF, you can call your pals over to bodyblock if you're going to go down, get them to try and force a switch off, clicky clicky, etc.
Healing is still easier if you know where someone is - SWF>Solo
SWF can send out their non-exhausted member for chases.
SWF can relay pallet information (used/unused/fake) in real-time.

I guess those of us who play solo just talk to the wall
May as well if you can't tell that they are chasing someone at some point for the entire duration of the game.

I mean, generally looping is no more easier when playing with friends than it is when playing solo. The healing nerf, exhaustion nerf or pallet density nerf didn't hurt solos anymore than swf survivors. Heck, most of the killers abilities aren't more powerful against solo survivors than they are against swf survivors.
I disagree with all of this.

I apologize if it came across a certain way, it's just a lot of killer mains put a lot of nonsense out there and whine about things that aren't very problematic. But see True is just respecting the perk, he leaves/slugs them which is basically what I was saying which is ironic you'd point that out. You don't have to prioritize or eat a DS to win. And he doesn't go "DS is too strong. This is insane" etc. Now it's a good perk but this thread is blowing it way out of proportion.
Ask Tru3 for his thoughts on the perk in a stream, and let me know what he says in response, please ;3

Slugging them is enough of an answer. I consistantly play at red ranks and I hardly ever get hit by it, my screenshots are proof of it. I watch red rank streamers like Truetalent, Scott, Umbra, etc and they are hardly hit by DS and if they are it's once rarely twice. Even when they are, It's mostly not gamechanging. It's not worth nerfing or complaining about.
If you aren't getting hit with DS 3 times a game or often in games in general then what on earth is the point of whining? How is slugging not a viable option? Most survivors that have DS won't make it to a locker in time. 60 seconds isn't too long, you can not crawl across the map in 60 seconds lmao. There's plenty of times I've slugged someone with DS and been slugged with DS and the timer in endgame and the timer went out. As a rank 1 survivor I got paired with a rank 9 killer the other day and other green ranks but he knew to slug me. He waited the timer out and 3K'd. A friggin rank 9 Wraith knows this.
So, Unbreakable, Flip Flop and DS. They're running 3 or 2 of the perks for an antislug build. Unbreakable and Flip flop are hardly used at higher tiers, they are by no means meta and if someone uses them then the person is lacking a lot of essentials in their build for an antislug build that will probably work once out of 12 games??? What are even the odds of someone using two or three of those perks?? Honestly I shouldn't be reading most of these posts in their entirety because it's filled with nonsense. "You can crawl across the map in 60 seconds." LOL. Your numbers are cute, but in most games DS won't be the endall be all unless they are by a gate so your numbers are honestly irrelevant. At this point you want it to be absolutely useless. DS is likely to never be changed again and it's here to stay, so get over it and slug. And that's the bottom line.
The actual bottom line is that you're refuting the anecdotal evidence of other posters with your own anecdotal evidence, which makes for a delightful read :3
Congrats on the near perfect games at Red Ranks :)

I think people don't know you can fake out of a pounce. Faking out can be lethal to a survivor and the only real issue the Demogorgon glaringly has is being lackful in the chase category, he can be looped.
That's literally the issue with most of the killer line-up :(

The bill had DS which is why I didn't pick him up D:
That is what you get for "SPEED WINNING CHASES," "SPEED HOOKING," and allowing "SPEED UNHOOKS!"
Really, though, you may as well treat every survivor as though they have DS :-/

Sorry, but according to @Corrupted, "If you get DS'd 3 times in one game, you're either playing killer very unoptimally or you're tunneling."
Since you only ate 2 DS in less than a minute, you are clearly not tunneling!
Nice try!

The hell kind of reaction is this? This is literally the dumbest way to look at that. I hate DS change and I main killer. It is honestly one of the worst changes I have ever seen among any game I have played. I loved DS as before, save it or use it. Just make sure to use it wisely otherwise it is wasted. Yes there was dribbling and it was an issue, but look at what I said on the first page to see my opinion of it. Running Make Your Choice won't matter to a strong killer, they can catch both within the 60 seconds if they get the jump on the survivors.
The person you are quoting is best ignored.

I see so many people crying about DS being too OP still. Their only argument is that they see "every" survivor using it.
Let's think on that for a second...
DS is an anti-tunneling perk. Nothing else. So if "every" survivor is using it and you keep getting angry about that; it only means two things.
- You tend to tunnel quite often if you're hit with DS as much as you say.
- Most people tend to tunnel quite often if "every" survivor feels the need to run it.
It's nice to see that, currently, you and 9 other users are completely ignorant as to the actual issues that people are having with DS.

Example of misinformation?
As far as I could tell the Wiki is pretty spot on. It's reasonable to expect errors, I mean even an official wiki run by developers will have wrong information some where at some point.
There's been like 2-3 mistakes max over a period of ~3 years, none of which concerned any gameplay elements, but rather release/event date speculation.
Clearly, it is time for us to #riseup and get this well of misinformation and malicious intent removed from the internet.
Who is with me?!

I was wondering how long after Doc's ban that a thread would appear throwing shade on the wiki.

Sure, if Pallet/Gen Break, Weapon Wipe, and Pickup speeds are all buffed by 75% to make up for 75% of the Survivor group knowing they can blast off on gens with zero risk.
Seems fair to buff Killer actions by 75% in order to combat 75% of the Survivor team getting a buff (100% if there is no obsession).

If you stop thinking "I DID X, SO ME ENTITLED TO RESCUEZ," you'll have a way better time.

You cannot control how anyone else plays.

I believe that if they End Task or Dashboard Out, you lose your item/BP.
If they exit via "Leave Game," you should get both.
TLDR - Salty Killer decided to be extra salty.
-
You can get to Rank 1 by just camping with Leatherface.

It's fun to nerf one of the only viable killers in the game to make her "more fun to play against" at the cost of making her both less viable and "less fun to play as."
Despite being really viable, I still don't encounter her all that much, but I'd rather encounter her "sometimes" than "never."
