I literally hit my queued up Benny Hill music and have a blast.
This is not a troll post - I really do this.
-
Wow. I thought April Fool's was over!
-
You can't slow the game down.
There are currently too many second chance perks and chase extenders.
Play scummy and win, or play "fair" and lose.

Adren/BT/DS/MoM is the new jam.

You need to "snowball" your prey, targeting one only will not get you far @dannyfrog87, the perk ThanatoPhobia will help with this, tunneling is when you don't snowball, 4k is usually from snowballing
Thano helps survivors win by wasting a killer perk slot.

I think you misunderstand infinites and regular loops.
You're wasting your time.
-
Anyone that is stating "Don't tunnel - You won't see it," is simply showcasing their ignorance to the way the perk is being used in the current meta/endgame "EZ Exit" builds. (Adren/DS/BT/Perk of Choice {MoM is currently being 'tested' it seems})

Wait until you run into an Adren/BT/DS/MoM squad, @SpaceCoconut :D

Ah yes the typical troll move, bring something irrelevant into the conversation while leaving out the actual details. Lets see he camps and when it doesn't work says it's for the meme's. When it works it's ggez because he fooled a bunch of potatoes and acts like it took skill.
Also I did 3.5 gens while he hard camped, 3 totems and had there been an actual looping spot I could've looped him. The pallet was already used in that area and lets not forget he's rage quit when he's been bad as a survivor.
Oh and lets see one of us hasn't posted exploits nor been extremely toxic on Twitch and been punished for both. But since you enjoy following the one that has that says everything about you.
When you decide to stop trying and failing to troll me, I'll be here.

I think eeh timers fine as it is and if anything once the exit gates are powered as long as you're not down or on the hook be reduced.
I don't follow any Twitch DBD Streamers, unless you count the Dev streams.
I'd just make it inactive (eats the whole timer) outside the gates.
edit - @not_Queen Can we get the old quoting system back?
-
It's a talent ;3
What's the meta at this exact moment, pray tell?
I'm more than happy to be wrong in this case.
As an aside, I enjoyed your reaction to your angrypug disconnect, my histrionic brother.

Full fledged community manager now, in the office with everyone else.
I am really happy to hear this.

You know what. I like the way you think mate. Cheers! (Laughs in Evil Survivor)
It definitely sucks to be on the receiving end of endgame Adren/DS/BT builds, but yeah, it feels super evil to run it >:3

Can't wait for my squad and I to run (Borrowed Time, MoM, DS, Dead Hard) Gonna get these EZ escapes boysssss.
Good players do not heal in this meta.
You'd be better off running Adrenaline and instead of DH - You can create unwinnable endgame scenarios.
-
Most of the people commenting aren't even playing/don't understand the meta, for what it's worth
-
This has aged well.

If they rely on this perk, chances are they don't make it to high ranks anyway.
No one said anything about relying on it.
Using it optimally is, unfortunately, just smart play.
I do it myself, but I shower daily :3
-
Imagine if all of the people saying "stop tunneling" actually knew how the perk is being used in high rank endgame meta builds (w/ BT + Adrenaline) where it literally guarantees free escapes (from the trial).
Imagine.
-
That statement literally proves my point.
Thank you.
-
The devs seem to be completely ignorant as to the perk's optimal use/strength in the Adrenaline meta.
.....or they just don't care.
-
@Kagrenac said:
I mean it's not like you can literally deny use of the perk by not tunneling and slugging. You can also use enduring to make the stun irrelevant.
Also post on your own thread. don't make another one that's pointless like this.
It's not like you seem to be ignorant as to how the perk is being used optimally in this meta.
-
^^^
Yeah, nerfed right into the ground of "SWF Squads stacking it for endgame with Adrenaline and BT."
Endgame is becoming more and more non-existent for killers.
-
Free, safe unhooks and escapes for all :D
-
Keeping people that grief in the lower ranks allows them to simultaneously grief and farm easy BP.
It's win-win for them.
-
This topic has aged well.
-
It was in Coldwind, haha.
SPIN2WIN!
-
People seem to be changing their stance on MoM, acknowledging the possibility of it being strong.
-
OMG AND RUIN, TOO?!?!
What a wild roller coaster ride ;3
Thanks for the clip!

@Raccoon WOW! I hope McClean shows his face here and puts you in your place!
You took a clip completely out of context, twisted it, and used it to meet your agenda. He was being faceous when he made the statement, which also included Hex: Ruin. Posting false information is a violation of forum rules.
Everyone else, watch the video starting at least a minute before this clip begins, and watch it until the end of the game. You will see how Raccoon has twisted the truth and completely lied to everyone.
I took the clip from the NOED topic -

I hope he shows his face, too, and says the exact same thing, allaying my fears.
Fancy that, we both want the same thing.
You can do everyone a solid and clip the whole thing, though, if you could be so kind - It would sure clear up a lot of things.
I also hope he tells us that the Freddy rework is coming before Legion, unless that was a joke, too.
:(
-
I'm sure we'll get the Freddy changes before the Legion changes.
I've been blown away by all the progress, updates, and information they've been dropping regarding the Freddy rework, so I'd be very surprised to see Legion happen first.

I will use an example i wanted to avoid.
How much will noed benefit Zubat, Scott, Ryanpez, etc?
See, thats why bad killers and noed are related. Good killers dont expect them to make it to lategame.
its not directly related. bad killers and noed. But indirectly related, in that good killers dont use noed, which leaves the bad killers with noed.
This clip is a perfect analogy to the way you view your argument:
-
Will MoM be joining your list?
-
Powering generators (even just two) provides you with an opportunity to escape.
It does not mean you get a guaranteed escape.
-
I died to the killer during the part of the game that is 99% weighted towards survivors....NERF NOED!
-
Hex totems and their placement are both pretty weak, in my opinion.
-
For a second, I thought the topic title was talking about the Freddy rework timeline.
-
How else are they gonna continue to ignore Freddy?!
-
You're talking about free escapes and kills, but you've never addressed my counter to your "the hatch rewards a survivor for..." point from a while ago, or perhaps you just chose to ignore that, much like you ignore most points brought up to you with the same linear reasoning.
You have also just stated that you think the previous iteration of DS was an anti-tunneling tool for the Obsession (it wasn't, as it could be activated at first down through "fair" play) and that the whole dull totem system is "just for padding" despite NOED literally being reworked to provide a reason to actively seek out said "padding."
-
It blows my mind, @Janick, that so much new content has come out, and Freddy is still chilling in the dumpster.
Add to this the recent Ash announcement, and I'm seriously concerned that the Freddy rework is a myth.

Thank you for posting this thread.
-
Gen rushing is indeed pretty "smart" if you enjoy de-pipping/safety pipping regardless of escape, activating NOED, and coming to the forums to complain about it.
It's pretty crazy how playing "stupid" and interacting with the killer/pallets/chests/TOTEMS is actively awarded in game via various means (Emblems/BP/Items/DISABLING KILLER PERKS) by the very people that designed the game.
Gen Rush away, good sir.
Gen Rush away.

It's totally fair to auto-lose the game against good-excellent survivors that I played "fairly" against with a non-Nurse/Billy killer because 3-4 of them are alive due to my "fair" play and I commit to a chase endgame.
Nerf killer endgame, guys.
Any survivor with a key when hatch spawns or left alive when it is open can use it regardless of their contributions to the game. It's a trash mechanic that causes frustration on both sides.
I'm the only one they didn't reply to.
:(

@Raccoon said:
I play both and think NOED is fine.
The end game already heavily discourages killers from trying to "play fair/3 hook" all game, as a single chase with multiple survivors alive is more than enough time to open at least one gate. Killers that try to do this are naturally going to see more challenging endgame scenarios than those that use other "cheap" tactics to remove survivors earlier.
The end game right now is ridiculously weighted towards the survivor side, but yeah, let's nerf one of the killer's only comeback factors for this portion of the trial, especially if they've been "spreading the love" like everyone expects them to.
Play a killer capable of getting quick downs and mercing a team early to avoid endgame? Welcome to Washington, DC.
Until the endgame is completely reworked, NOED is a decent, but still pretty weak, comeback factor.
