point 1 i get but point 2 and 3 just dont make sense when the hat is active bc it gives you the passive slowdown, right? like they wont be on gens bc they need to get the hat off
Points 2-3 are just general Killer thought processes Not Pig Specific to say the least
Point 1 was Pig Specific

chasing me, i jump into a locker to make her waste as much time as possible placing a hat on me, 2 gens remain, 3 survivors alive. i get grabbed, dropped, have a hat put on, gen pops, i get hooked. trap is active.
she begins to chase one of the other 2 survivors, injures them, i get saved ~10 seconds after that. she immidiately drops chase with the person she's following and comes right back to the hook, ignoring the jake bodyblocking her as i leg it away. she follows me for another ~20 or so seconds before downing me, picking me up, and hooking me.
my question: why drop the chase to go for the one person with the active hat on and not even slug them to prevent them searching boxes but completely waste your hat like that.
Alright.... So maybe one of 2-3 things happened
1) Maybe thought that the Active Trap wasn't going to last long enough
2) That Gen that popped was most likely the "point of no return" and Tunneled the first Survivor off of hook
3) Figured that chasing someone that came off of hook would be easier to down and hook again
That's all that makes sense IMO
Thanks for the info
-
Yea I have been saying how something like that needs to be in game....
-
I would need more information... LOL
-
Gen Spawns, Survivor Spawns
So basically Maps are an issue
80 seconds per Gen minimum isn't all that much... Great Skillchecks, working with other Survivors, Bringing Toolboxes make it take less time to do a Gen
-
It's too late for perks like this
It would've been great back last year
I think if it only happens once a Gen then 80% should be more then enough...
-
Doing that wouldn't make Oppression OP
But doing that plus lowering the cooldown might lead to certain situations
-
I agree that Boons do have to be looked at objectively
COH is a healing Perk (so of course it'll be strong) so that part does need to be looked at first and fore most
-
Call of Brine works on kicked Gens... which the Survivors see most of the time... Plus it only works for 60 seconds
Ruin affects all gens that have progress on them... but can be cleansed within seconds of a match starting
Both Perks need others to fill in and help with their weakness
For Call Of Brine: Pop, Oppression (maybe), Brutal Strength, Eruption (maybe), Dragon's Grip, Overcharge (maybe)
For Ruin: Thrill Of The Hunt, Undying, Hunted Grounds (maybe), Huntress Lullaby (maybe)

I honestly think it's both or either depending on the killer. W+M1 killers definitely suffer the distance more, killers like Huntress suffer the i-frames more.
So maybe the answer is both.... but that would be hard for Survivor players to get comfortable with
-
Honestly it comes down to the distance or I frames... With the side effect of the Killer going through the Hit cooldown
If players say distance the shorten the distance
If players say I Frames then shorten that aspect
-
Pig, Hillbilly, Spirit, Huntress
I do play the rest except for Bubba and Freddie
-
Whispers.... Cause it has no counters let's me know if there are Survivors around (for the most part)... and I don't see that many Killers use it
-
I wouldn't mind if they went for MS for Killers
But i will still think that maps need to change (for the better)
-
I do agree that Dark Theory does need something
A number change isn't what it is I'm glad someone was able to notice that
I do like the change as well
-
I was thinking of making the skillchecks the same as Autodidact
-
It is harder for Survivors to Pip up... cause there's 4 of you against one Killer and 5 Gens to do
The point split isn't fair by any means
-
So like the extreme high end and the extreme low end are (Bad Word)
And in other words... The extreme Competitive players and the extreme Casual players are (Bad Word)
Yea... I can see it
-
If I were make a bet it'll be the replaceability of Boons... Just saying
-
Any Myers with Ruin does enough to me... So no it isn't just infinite tier 3 that gets Kills
-
The fact that they did this first says more about COH then any other Boon
Also if it still isn't good enough (but I don't see that being an issue) then yea that change would make more sense
-
I was thinking of Crawl Spaces
-
So they realized that making it the same as Self Care is what's best

Agreed, but it's also worth mention that thrilling tremors, even tho it doesnt block gens survivors are doing, that is a great information perk, you will know which gens are being worked on, so i'd call it a pretty good perk because it gives u info and also helps with the advance of the game
I didn't say anything bad about Thrilling Tremors
I just said to keep that in mind
-
It should... but it won't
The more the algorithm changes the less MMR changes...
The simpler the better (for the most part)
-
Aftercare- Good if you are getting saves/ Healing
Flip-Flop- Good if you are being slugged for more then 10 (or so) seconds
Nurse's Calling- Good for Stealth Killers (Or Killers with small TR's) But bad if the Survivors are Using COH and Shadowstep
Thrilling Tremors- Good for all Killers but it doesn't block the Gens that Survivors are on... so keep that in mind

I ignored him but knowing that he's too good at chases and I don't want to chase him he basically kept running beside me taunting and clicking and his flashlight wasn't normal it didn't get consumed quickly so I already know that I should Ignire but he wasn't letting me play the game constant clicks with macro will cover your screen but they don't consume too much power.I was I a bad situation either I chase other survivors while these 2 jerks make it impossible to do so or I chase the Ace but I already tried he seemed like a speed cheater or just too good I managed to hit him but he escapes and heals at boons so yeah chase the guy till 5 gens are done or chase others but the duo won't let you down or Hook them among the constant bullying.
As I said... learn from those things
Yea... some Survivors can tell that you are a new Killer so they can do things that they normally wouldn't do
Also... You should realize what Survivors are going to do with you being a newer player

I repeat myself in this thread, just the attempt to induce a negative emotional state in your opponent is a dick move and you hint at the approach "an eye for an eye" and I tell you "and the world goes blind" aka at some point no one will want to play with toxic, taunting jerks anymore.
I'm just saying... If it happens to you then by means do it back (it all depends on you as a player)
I don't do it either
-

You ignored one important part tho that matchmaking matched me against higher skill players so there is literally nothing you can do against them you know everything is against me their skill is perfect in everyway and they abused that to show their toxicity like a player that uses a macro flashlight you think his intent is good ? Come on it's obvious.
I know that MM is a bit messed up at this point
And them knowing the game isn't toxic.... it shows that they have played this game longer then you have not abuse
You need to realize that the more Kills you get the higher your MMR goes up... So you need to grow up and deal with it... Instead of calling everyone you face Toxic... you need to learn your own mistakes so you don't repeat them
If someone Clicks their Flashlights... that means that they want you to chase them... So ignoring it might be the best thing (by thinking of their next movements and your own or moving on to another Survivor)

Everyone is toxic no matter what if 4 escape you're a noob and trash and you will get teabagged and flashlight clicked at exit gates and if you kill everyone you will get toxic post game chat but it's only survivors that do these mostly killers are usually nicer they give hatch and gate to last survivor ect but survivors will claim every opportunity to upset you but look the skill of a 100 hours player is no where near a 5000 hour player it's totally unfair the way that player moves in perfect 360 circles and dodges he predicted every attack and dead hards whenever you land a hit and uses the fact that you can't hit him to bully you at every action you miss .
You miss one m1 he tbags
You miss a window hit he tbags and spams flash light
You pick a survivor he blind you and as you're stuck In animations he comes nearby and tbags
You miss your ability he clicks and tbags
You want to hook someone he body blocks the hook
You want to hit someone he guards them
You chase someone he sticks to you lime your shadow while he clicks flashlight macro and his friend did the same exact things so what's my chance in winning this when I can't even land a hit? The matchmaking is ridiculous.
Ok.... So here are a few things
Those things make you make more mistakes
So ending up with a kill no matter how you get it done means you did good
It also means you need to be aware of what might happen in the pre match lobby... you can see if they have Item or switch to them
Calling everyone Toxic is wrong... Some Survivors again do it to get you to make more mistakes... You need to realize that and not get upset when it does happen... as a matter of fact do it right back at them... Nod your head for every hit you get every down you get and every hook you get (if it is happening to you)
-
Hooks are a touchy subject....
Hooks are needed for Killers and Survivors (for what it's worth)
For what's is worth... Scourge Hooks coding does need to be looked at
-
I agree that MMR has a long way to go... They shouldn't stop tinkering with MMR
Also if you let this get to you then be prepared for all 4 Survivors doing it... and getting toxic messages for either letting them all go or Killing 1-2 (3-4) by Camping/ Tunneling
And for what it's worth Welcome To The Game
-
I think all Boons should have a cooldown attached to them... Either after setting one or after it gets Snuffed
Or have it lose range/ what ever the effect(s) are on the Boon
I would point the finger at COH but I think it be best to include all Boons in this

I mean keys are still good with aura reading add ons, but I hardly see survivors use them.
True....
-
Keys weren't nerfed... It was the Hatch change that made Keys "worthless"

Legion is one of the most played killer, even now. People loves their design (include me).
I know it's been said already...
-
I have run it on Pig... with mild success
I have been Using COB- Eruption- Corrupt- Whispers
My thinking is if I get COB on a gen then a Survivor comes to stop it... Hopefully I am in chase with another Survivor so once I get the down the Gen Explodes and if there are Survivors on the Gen they scream and are incapacitated for 16 Seconds
But in the heat of the moment it goes wrong... LOL
-
Also funny that they did the Map changes to some of those maps already
-
Jeepers Creepers... is another one
-
Corrupt and Whispers on Killer
Kindred and Spine Chill on Survivor
I know you asked for one but I can't just say one... LOL
-
I think that would help.... But the Devs have already said that they aren't going to do that with No Mither

Ah, I see where you got confused now, my bad. I meant that the problem with gift of pain was that it was too easy to counter by 99ing. The hemorrhage rework fixes that which is good.
Yea... Ok
It's fine

Never said it was an issue. I think this is a good change.
Ok then.... Kinda was confusing to say the least
-
That's a conundrum to say the least
Do you go all in for faster Queue times or for a "balanced" match
Cause at this point that's what I'm seeing
-
@sizzlingmario4 said:

Sloppy butcher and addons which inflicted both hemorrhage and mangled are a lot better now. Like blind warrior on wraith was already decent just for the healing slowdown, but now it has two useful effects instead of just one. Same with begrimed head.
This also makes gift of pain quite a bit better too as the main issue it had was being able to heal to 99% if you had a medkit (like you would with resilience), then doing gens without the debuff until the killer showed up. Now you won't be able to do that anymore.
I don't see the issue with losing progress... either heal or don't
Yea it takes "techs" away but Survivors will find something to do about that... especially with COH being a thing

Even now being the worst Killer Leg is pretty popular
I know but how long will players play the new Legion... and how long will the Survivors want to face the new Legion
That's all I am saying

We'll just have to wait and see... If anyone plays Legion
