Cause the game is all about timing so the sooner people realize that the better
-
It sounds good but we'll have to see it in game
-
1) Bloodweb- Yes it's hard to understand why after they removed the perks from bloodwebs... and made things cheaper it becomes harder to level up
2) Solo Queue... it is rough to say the least but what are they doing to change that
3) MMR... it does need to be adjusted but how
-
Comms in this game is really strong... but it isn't the be all end all... Looping and reading the situation still play a part
Using your head is the be all end all... which is why those streamers are better at the game then some of us
-
So by adding more sounds that Stridor can pick up... It'll be better
And do I see you suggesting nerfing Surveillance (even though it's just the added effect of that perk)
Just making Survivor sounds easier to pick up... Walking, Running, and yes Breathing... would help this perk out
But I have got a feeling that a new perk is going to come out that increases the noise of footsteps... Just saying
-
I would've said to take breaks... instead of hitting that ready button right after getting back to the main menu
But that's just me...
-
It depends on where one lives as well as other factors
There may not be as many campers where one person lives but there might be a lot of campers where another person lives
That's just another reason why comparing Otz and Tru3 is moot...

I was going to say the same thing... LOL
-
I mean yes it would be nice... But at this point asking for something just means that BHVR would need to recode the game
-
Pigs Tunnel just as hard as any other Killer
It's a personal choice that one player makes
Plus is the community's fault that Camping and Tunneling got this out of hand... we over optimized the game even though it couldn't handle it
-
The complaint is a fair one... but why is the first comment on these basically "don't blame your teammate who decides to stay"
A ping system would (IMO) fit the game more then straight comms... but IDK anymore
I am usually the first or second to leave... Knowing that the others are safe enough to get to one gate or the other... or at least one of them will be getting out
Or I'm first one dead... LOL
-
OP... All of those examples are way harder to deal with...
Just adapt and keep playing
-
OK so... If I understand this correctly (please be kind to me if I miss something)
1) Nurse isn't the only Killer that prevents perks from working properly... Stridor Spirit anyone?
2) Nurse is the only Killer that moves slower then Survivors... which is one reason that she has the power she has
3) Piggybacking off of 2... also the reason that she's declared as an M1 Killer (her Power is for movement... Like Wraith and Spirit)
4) As someone who wants this game to be as balanced as possible (which it can't be... cause it's Asym) I don't understand why Survivors want every Killer to be the same... can someone explain it to me
5) If Nurse gets the Special Attack that people have discussed then what happens to the other Killers that have the same mechanic... Wraith and Spirit
When talking about the recharge and range addons... what specifically are you saying is wrong with them...
I did have a few suggestions to change her but someone brought up the other side to those (and they make sense)

They stated in the dev blog that they are working on more anti-cheat countermeasures. I imagine subtle cheating will get looked at, but it is a more difficult problem to deal with when simple validation can't really address it.
Ok... thanks
But progress is progress I guess

The issue with that is that blatant cheating can be handled on a server level by just doing sanity checks so that completely impossible stuff runs into a wall of code saying "no." Stuns have a hard cap of 5 seconds, max number of killers per match is one, survivors can't be hooked when they're not actually on a hook, that sort of thing.
Subtle cheating works by hiding along those lines of 'this is all possible within the game, but the fact that this survivor is hugging the top percentile of everything they do is kinda sus.' You can't slap up a big "no running at 107% speed" rule because there's plenty of perks and items survivors can use to do that. And teleporting/phasing through the map is tricky as long as survivors are at single variable coordinates they could feasibly be able to access - a height between the basement and the tallest structure on the map, and within the boundaries of the map itself. It's not like they can add a check for every unique xyz on every unique map. That kind of cheat can only be prevented by patching out the cheats themselves, or transitioning pretty much everything server-side.
But nipping the blatant cheating should uncover the subtle cheating as well... Or am I being naïve in thinking that way?
-
This was player choice...
From the Survivors builds... to the Killer and their build
Also this is an outlier match... sorry to say it
But at some point you must have realized what their goal was... and stopped placing Traps and went after the Survivors
No Corrupt for early game slowdown so you must have been putting Traps down on your side of the Map... Am I wrong
All four had No Mither and Resilience and Daja Vu (I think)... so yea... You needed to forget about placing Traps sooner
But all of that can only come from the end game screen not the pre-match lobby

Subtle cheating is simply much harder to tackle. Things like preventing survivors from hooking themselves or instantly completing a gen are simple to add validation checks for.
Things like survivors auto hitting great skill checks or auto dead hard on killer swing are much harder to validate against.
I know but still... Once they get a hold of blatant cheating then subtle cheating would be next... right???
-
Cool... so I'm not the only one hoping for these changes
-
I just read through the Dev update....
I like the changes being talked about... Bots is good for Killer that don't have friends (or have friends online and willing to play)
Preventing cheaters is good but they need to get the subtle cheats gone sooner rather then later
The graphical update is not big enough to be enthusiastic about
So what's everyone's thoughts about this
-
Then play Wraith, Pig or Ghostface... or even Mickey.... Spirit or Hag
Those Killers either have small TR's or turn them off
Or just let them do it... If everyone finishes that challenge then there would be no reason for it
-
I'd say Plague... Mostly cause of a coincidence

I think Blight, Nurse, and SWF are a problem if players aren't supposed to win consistently, but if they are then everyone else needs to be buffed to around Pinhead level, and solo queue needs a hefty buff.
My builds are typically 2 info perks with a qol perk that also can be used to help my regression perk, so combos like: Agitation and Pain resonance/brutal strength and call of brine, the builds are by no means weak.
Ok so we can agree with that
Ok was just wondering... Thanks for that

Maps are big problem, but they can't re-design it.
Maps are big aspect of this game, its good to play on different map from time to time, it's good to have some maps that favor survivors and some that favor killers, it's good to have differnt map look, it makes game look nicer.
But what they can do, they can adress perks, rework and make some basekits to make game healthier.
Why killers camp ? Because going for 12 hooks is 80%+ of the games a loss. You have to slug, camp and tunnel most of the time. But if they make gen take longer for example and give survivors counterplay for camping and tunneling, you would see healthier game where killer will go for more chases and hooks
Ok so let's look into the future of this game for a moment...
If they do make those changes then the game becomes Gen progression VS. Gen regression... with little outlier perks being used
Where Survivor use PT and BNP Toolboxes and the Killer uses Eruption, Overcharge, Call Of Brine, and Pop... would that be fun?
Yes they can adjust how the Map algorithm work (there for changing how the Map looks and feels)
And if do that then a lot of Maps will be changed either for better or worse (in some cases)
Also if they continue down the basekit perks then there is no stopping it... and then every perk (for the most part) will become basekit
Oh and before I forget... I would've done basekit Lightweight to help the Tunneling (I'm not sure about Camping)
-
Run Whispers then... you'll catch them eventually
Hiding has been in the game since it's inception...
-
So does that mean that playing those Killers is good for the game or does that mean no other Killer is on their level (yes I know that it's a stupid question... but I would like to see your answer on this)
What Build did you use? (if you don't mind answering)... also has it changed over the course of the game's life cycle? (again if you don't mind answering)
-
No they need to come up with ideas that aren't just making perks basekit
Corrupt should've stayed the same... for all intents and purposes
Making Gens 80 charges is fine
Making the UI icons have more meaning would go a long way (but I haven't seen what they have come up with so... it's still iffy)
Making base regression better would help with Killers bringing multiple regression perks and make regression perks easier to balance
Solving the base game would go a long way to help this game... just saying
They need more base game stats... seems everyone runs certain perks it throws off everything else
Like why was Corrupt used a lot- Answer... cause most Killers couldn't make it from one side of the map to the other without Gens getting completed... Simple answer Maps
Why was Ruin used a lot- Answer... it was automatic and increased Gen regression... Simple answer cause Kicking Gens took to long (even with Brutal Strength)
Why was Dead Hard used a lot- Answer... Cause it allowed Survivors to make it to a pallet or window and the dodge aspect... Simple answer to make chases even longer therefore giving more time for the other Survivors to finish Gens
Why was BT used a lot- Answer cause Survivor needed a way to deal with Campers and Tunnelers (safe to say)... Simple answer to punish those playstyles... but we've come a long way from it working as planned
And so on and so forth
-
It suffers from having to do so much just for one extra hit... I wouldn't even call it a second chance perk
But I'm not sure what can be done to it...
-
It does sound good from a lore stand point... Someone going from "all powerful" to powerless sounds funny to me
IMO Rin's father seems like a person I'd like to see in the Fog (But that isn't going to happen)
-
In terms of BHVR's MMR they wouldn't have that much difficulty getting one Kill
Again it comes down to player choice... Take what I said and flip it... how much difficulty would Pig have if the build suited her playstyle VS. an unorganized team (solo's)
But getting 4K's would be harder... unless that player knows what they are doing and the other side didn't know how to stop it

You mentioned that Nurse and Blight wouldn't have a problem with winning, which is what I was mentioning in my reply.
Sorry about that... I can't process words like I used to (stroke)

Nurse and Blight would definitely struggle, and most likely lose. Even the best killers in the game still need strong perks and add-ons to compete with a high level SWF like you mentioned.
That's my point... so in other words it's player choice
-
Even if they do then there will still be more time sunk into prestiging
The fact that this is what being complained about means actually having a goal means more then a big number
-
Here -gives the Killer main jacket to @AshInTheTallGrass- now smile and wave (Look good for the camera)
-
Rin could've been a Survivor but the entity fed into her "need" for revenge
Wraith could've been a Survivor if he didn't find out that he was a unknowing participant in the Mob (or however one would describe whom he worked for)
Nurse could've been a Survivor (depending on which lore one fallows)
Twins (well they would've been separate) would've been Survivor(s) if they weren't chased (get it) by whatever they were chased by (I forget their name)
Hillbilly would've been a Survivor if they just left him alone (just saying)
I mean even Oni could've been a Survivor if Rin was a Survivor (if you think about it)
I disagree on the Pig being a Survivor (at the time of death she was a fallower of John Kramer... so she would've been the same)
Plague could've been a Survivor... and I can't think of a reason (phrase I can't type)
Ok this is getting a bit long so... almost every Killer minus those that Killed before they entered the Fog (Mickey, Freddie, Bubba -for the most part-, Pinhead, Pyramid Head... ETC) could've been a Survivor... IMO
-
Don't kill me in the rest of the comments... but
Survivor: Feng min
Killer: Pig
Both of them have almost every perk... I haven't played in awhile so I don't have the Dredge's perks nor do I have any Licensed Survivor (but have gotten lucky in finding some of those perks on the Shrine) nor do I have Jonah or Mikayla (or how ever one spells her name)... I have a lot of catching up to do once I can play again
-
Cause of coding issues
If they could put weather in the game then what's stopping them from fixing the rest of the game
-

Last will is the speed one because it use to be the add-on that gave you an extra rbt
Yea... I'm a bit rusty... I haven't played the game in awhile
-
That always a good idea... but once you learn them start using addons so you can get a feel for how each addon's strength
Pig does have a few that help:
Combat Straps- Helps with the crouching animation (speeds it up) but doesn't help shrink the TR
Last Will- (I can't remember if) it increases speed on dashing or crouch movement speed
Workshop Grease- is what Last Will isn't (LOL)
Combat Straps are brown, Last Will and Workshop Grease are yellow
-
Fixing Genrush and Tunnel is like trying to flip a coin and have it land on it's side
Genrush- there needs to be a secondary objective involved with Gens (totems aren't it anymore)
Also just hitting great skillchecks reduce the time it takes to finish a Gen by half (obviously hitting more then 5 skillchecks)
Tunneling- make it harder to finish Gens with all 4 Survivors alive... which doesn't make much sense (but here we are)
Also maybe nerf all of the Gen regression perks then increase the base Gen regression... it'll even out what Builds one sees and gives Killers more pressure without having to use perks... I started to think this before Sadako came out
-
Well IDK if it would be any fun but
Survivor:
The (I call it) stand by me build:
Prove Thyself- increases Gen repair speed when 2 or more Survivors are repairing a Gen
Leader- increases other action speeds (Healing, Cleansing Totems, Opening Chests and Gates)
Vigil- decreases the time of Exhaustion (and other things)
That Jonah perk that helps with missed skillchecks (I forgotten what it was called)- cause if you can hit Greats then it help with that one Survivor whom misses a lot (also synergizes with Prove Thyself... Maybe)
Killer:
The (I call it) Observer build:
Fire Up- Increases action speed for each Gen completed (this is a perk that I didn't know what else would work so... IDK take your pick)
TOTH- Totem Counter... to see if the Survivors cleanse all 5 Totems (I don't know if Blessing counts though)
Discordance- To see if 2 or more Survivors get on a Gen
Whispers- Get knowledge on if there are Survivors around you
Typically I play Wraith when I do this... and I don't come out of Cloak all that much
-
So.... some players don't complain about Nurse...
Most players do... She doesn't play the normal game... Which is fine by me we need more of that
The people whom complain about Nurse say that the other Killers are boring... so what's the point
-
But then you'd have Survivor players losing their minds at the amount of Survivors actually doing that instead of fixing Gens
-
Everything is a choice... a choice that players make (made)
So how does BHVR balance this game around limiting choices while expanding others
It's us as players that need to stop... the game can't force us to do it
-
They need to get rid of the Shrine Of Secrets at this point
It was useful when the game only had 50 perks but not when each side has over 200
They should change the Shrine into a Store... Where players can exchange BP for Shards (and vise-versa) buy Perks, Items, Addons and Offerings
Yes they did make the grind cheaper but it doesn't feel satisfying (judging by the complaints I've seen)
And being forced to Prestige is wrong... and paying 50,000 BP to Prestige is wrong
They also could have another way to get shards other then leveling up
-

Its not how it work. Its always 0.25 charge per sec. 80 or 90 charge doesnt change the speed.
You said like 90 charge makes regression slower, like it takes more times to run 90m than to run 80m...
Longer Gen is what killers always want. Regression speed should not be fast because its possible to have a Gen regressed from 90 to 0. Something like if you dont hit a survivor for too long they gain back a hook state.
Gen should have check point, at least 30sec & 60sec. Gen doesnt not regressed further than the check point. After that Gen regression speed can be x3 faster. They can easily lose 30sec, but not losing more.
I know... But it still takes longer for a Gen to regress due to the extra charges
.25 on 80 charges is still faster then .25 on 90 charges
progression works the same way...
Survivors don't want to sit on Gens (even though it's their objective) so 90 charges isn't that good of a change vs 80 charges
-
I mean fixing the emblem system sounds really good right now
And also separating the low grades and high grades (I know they aren't used in MM, but I feel it should be)
-
I miss 5-10 per match when I played... and I also play on Xbox one
-
Yea... I only realized my typo after reading it through your comment.... LOL
Plus those two things make a lot of sense... Well 1) does but 2) will tell me how many hours I have on Pig vs every other Killer (I have a lot on Pig) but just the total hours might be the way to go for Survivors... Don't kill me in the comments but I see them as skins (Not much is special on Fang Min rather then Nea persay)
Also if BHVR wants to get technical with pick rates and Kill rates... then they should allow us to see how much we play a specific Killer and Survivor(s) -But that will take a lot of time and coding to get right-
-

So you like number 1 and 2 of my suggestions too?
Yes
-
4) They tried that... but Survivors abused it
5) That won't matter cause MMR has getting Kills more important... but honestly it might help Iri Grades out a lot
Also I would like for them to put in 1 and 2
-
See most SWF's aren't playing the game to sweat... they play to play
But some SWF's are playing as if their life is on the line
If they put in-game comms then they can tune it (but I doubt that)
This whole entire game is vicious cycles... one after another
And this is one of them
