Hexes aren't as powerful as they used to be... apon Survivors learning where the Totems are and looking for a lit Totem as soon as the match starts
Ruin- Used to effect skillchecks, changed to be 200% Gen regression for all Gens that have progress but no one repairing it, then changed to 100% Gen regression that deactivates when a Survivor is dead
The Third Seal- SWF's exists
Crowd Control- multiple vaults and ways out... stacked Loops
Huntress Lullaby- doesn't effect those players that are concentrated on what's on their screen
TL;DR.... There's a lot that makes Hexes weak and not worth running
-
I agree... Maps should be first
Then figure out what's next

How's Camping and Tunneling at 5 Gens an advantage... explain it to me
The Survivors have the advantage at 5 Gens... All 4 are alive and healthy with no Hooks on them... the longer it takes to complete a Gen is either a really strong Killer doing their job or Survivors whom haven't yet figured out their advantage
Camping and Tunneling aren't stopping the other 3 Survivors from completing aa Gen (or 2)
Yes it does suck to be that Survivor that is Tunneled and Camped but compare that to Gens... do you sit on a Gen till it's complete or do you move on and find a Gen that isn't started?
Do you stay near a Gen when the Killer comes to check on it? same with a Survivor on a Hook?
-
Surveillance- Take the information part from Call Of Brine

"It would be nice to not Tunnel anyone if they stopped T-bagging at the exit gates... Cause I take that as "hahahaahhahaha we won, you lost" and no one can convince me otherwise"
100% agree with this statement, I only teabag when a killer is already being toxic... Toxic gets toxic back, in my opinion.
However, if it's a killer that doesn't deserve a teabag, I don't tea bag. At the exit gate, if they had a hard game (which is the only time I escape anymore) I just leave. I don't extend the game because that's not fair to a Killer that just wants out.
"Stopping Tunneling isn't as easy as you make it out to be...."
I'm sorry, are people not being paid to come up with solutions? Last I checked, they had quality control specialists.
Honestly, I'm just kind of over it, myself. I don't want to play dbd. Neither do the 120 friends on my friends list, they've moved on because it's not fun to lose 87% of matches... and that's on a good day. On a bad day it's 98%.
Personally, until something changes, I won't be back on the game... Neither will a lot of my friends.
It's just sad that this is what it came down to.
Then you aren't the problem...
And yes they do but coming up with a solution is harder
-
Stopping Tunneling isn't as easy as you make it out to be....
The MMR is tied to getting Kills VS escaping... and people are overcompetitive about it
It would be nice to not Tunnel anyone if they stopped T-bagging at the exit gates... Cause I take that as "hahahaahhahaha we won, you lost" and no one can convince me otherwise
Yes there are issues that cause this to be the case... and they solved the one that was easy to solve... so what

Better matches, I'm probably average so it wouldn't affect me much.
So you won't mind waiting for 10 minutes for a match... fair enough
-
I mean it didn't start out as Tunneling... but it certainly ended up as Tunneling
You had a choice to go after the Meg... but you didn't
And you can't use the "I didn't see X after the unhook"
-
I've been complaining that the base gen regression is (phrase I can't type)
And Ruin being fitted with it only proves my point...
It either needs to lose the deactivation or let it be 200% Gen regression
And that "mini Pop" isn't worth a (word I can't type) right now
As @GoodBoyKaru said (sorry for bringing you back into this) it takes 360 seconds to fully regress a Gen that takes a SOLO Survivor 90 seconds to repair (and complete)
So yes I would love to see Ruin came back to it's former glory... MHAHAHAHAHAAHahahahah.... heheheheh
I would also like to see base Gen regression be increased to .50 charges per second... and changing all of the regression perks (mainly COB and Overcharge)
Also what's the lowest Gen progression lost... 8% from Jolt (I think so if something else exists then I'm sorry)
-
Yea... in that specific case it is MM
But quick question... Would you want quick queues or better matches?
-
It all depends on what happened during those matches... like camping (not saying that you did)... if the first Gen was done fast (it counts more for the first Gen and not the rest... So I've been told), chasing all Survivors, hooking all of the Survivors, injuring all of the Survivors, kicking Gens, Pallets and Breakable Walls
And did you do Gens (again not saying you did or didn't), Heal other Survivors, save other Survivors, Cleanse Totems, get into chases against the Killer
The emblem system actually counts what happens during the match... even though some of them are not working right (certain Killers aren't scored properly)
-
They should add the slower healing at this point
Cause how many perks slow healing... 2 that I can think of off the top of my head
Also Gift Of Pain only applies once that Survivor heals... and goes away once that Survivor is injured again
And how many perks speed up healing... a lot (can't think of the number... LOL) that I can think of off the top of my head
Also Resilience speeds up healing and repairing... it boggles my mind by this point
-
It may take a minute to Bless/ Cleanse but it doesn't feel like it takes that long from a Killers perspective... just saying
But if it takes a minute then I'll take it over know that someone is working on a Totem
-
When is comes to Macro plays yes it is 4V1... but Micro plays are 1V1
The Macro is map pressure... whos on what hook... whos injured... whos working on Gens and how many Gens are left
The Micro is the chase... where is the Survivor... where does the Survivor want to go... where is the Survivor going
-
Yea Maps are bad right now... but it's more of what goes into them then just the size
Spawns are messed up (for better or worse) and having Offerings affect that... makes it worse
Why hasn't there been an Offering for Gen spawns... or Loops for that matter
-
I think that if you are going to change it... Make exiting a locker slower
Iron Maiden's (back in the day... LOL) were used to keep people in and torture/ Kill them
So that would make more sense then what you suggested... just saying
-
It's probably cause this game isn't competitive at all
Maps are seeded... with no way to select a seed
Killers are not allowed to switch in pre-match lobbies... Honestly I think the whole pre-match lobby should just be skipped... unless they add more to it other then waiting for an extra minute
-
I played him like an Observer a few times.... fun times
I stayed in Cloak the entire match... and used perks that helped me figure out what the Survivors were doing... with most Addons
TOTH, Discordance, Fire Up, Whispers... was what perks I used
-
When they figure out how to do it without ruining anything else

How do survivors know you have it? You keep heading for that gen?
Yes... the Killer coming to a Gen that has or had 2 or more Survivors on it is a dead give away
-
I'd say Bubba, Freddie and Trapper
Bubba and Freddie for the reason that I don't want anyone to DC at the start of the match
Trapper cause I find his Traps too easy to spot and too easy to disable... So he's just an M1 Killer to me
But that'll change once I start playing again
-
Survivors should know who on what stage... they are the ones saving and getting hooked
And the Killer shouldn't know whos on what stage cause they need to be doing other things... Kicking Gens, chasing other Survivors, remembering who brought what, how to capitalize on what perks they brought, whos injured, whos healthy (so yea they need it more then Survivors do at this point)
-
The Underground Complex...
To bad it's not in the game anymore
-
In certain ways it's good to have but in other it's not...
It's a good perk to alert you when 2 or more Survivors get on a Gen together
But once the Survivors know you have it they tend to split up or activate it on 2 Gens
-
So if that's the case then...
Legion- They are only teenagers
Ghostface- He has no advantage if I know he's there
Pig- Same as Ghostface
IDK about the others
-
BHVR has came out and said that those are two different things.... I can't remember when or where they said it but they did
Hexes work from the beginning but Boons have to be lit
Hexes work until the Totem is cleansed or Blessed... Boons can be relit
It's also the same reason why Hexes aren't used all that much
-
So is this before or after they get the entities power? I'm so confused
Also most of us have a life outside of the game
So it's varied to say the least
-
Players can DC for any reason...
A legit disconnection:
Most IRL happenings
Server issues
A dishonest disconnection...
Quitting at any point in the match... Happens on both sides
-
Intent is needed... and it's hard to come by... unless everyone is in a party
Just remember that these are people playing the game (for who knows how long per day)
Gameplay fatigue can set in after the first match or 5-10 matches in... all depends on what happens
-
Also if the Killer is using Eruption they won't be Camping or Tunneling... cause they need to kick Gens
Yes I agree that the Incapacitated status effect lasts to long... But what number would work for it?
And the regression doesn't amount to much... so an increase to that also makes sense... But what is fair for both sides?
And the Cooldown on it can be adjusted... again what's fair for both sides?
-
No to get the most out of Call Of Brine and Eruption... you can't camp or Tunnel... you have to spend time kicking Gens
You aren't Camping and Tunneling if you are kicking Gens
BBQ is still the most used Killer perk (FMI)
And the real reason why Ruin isn't used is cause it's a Totem that lasts anywhere from 15-30 seconds at the vary least

They will use the perks, that's why it's called a meta.
We categorically did not get as much camping and tunnelling before 6.1, and before 6.1 perks like Pop and Ruin were meta, and the only way to maximise their value was to not camp.
But then the most picked perks have the same effect... BBQ, Call Of Brine, Eruption... STBFL kinda sorta
So again it's up to the Killer to run these perks... them being "meta" doesn't matter
-
On one hand players leaving the pre-match lobby will increase
But then players will try to synergize more with the teammates (like SWF)
I wouldn't mind if that were a thing... but I can only imagine what it'll turn the game into
-
I hope Jason makes it to DBD... but I want the game recoded before that happens
-
But all of that depends on if the Killer uses these perks
But something else needs to happen to make camping unreliable...
MMR system needs to include Gens and Hooks... Not just Kills and Escapes
Killer should lose more BP for Camping... but that won't matter unless ^That happens^
Also....
No Way Out encourages Killers to hook all 4 Survivors to get the most
Dying light encourages Killers to hook multiple Survivors
Thanatophobia encourages Killers to injure multiple Survivors
Call Of Brine encourages Killers to kick gens to get any value out of
Same with Overcharge and Eruption
So a lot of the perks aren't the best for camping... other then Deadlock and Insidious (off the top of my head)
-
It sounds like that Survivor didn't like what you did
It also sounds like a Survivor that would blame the Killer for Tunneling (I know that it makes 0 sense but that's their logic)
-
Or just show the level of character they are using...
We went from Ranks to Grades to Prestige (and eventually Level)
-
It depends on what I want to in the next match
Sometimes I only use Corrupt other times I run Call Of Brine and Eruption
-
The game as Pig is one of Timing... more then anything else
The faster you get a Trap on a Survivor the better... no matter what (if you have to use perks then go for it)
I use: Eruption, Call Of Brine, Corrupt and Whispers
But you chose the perks that you want...
-
If it's not hard to do then why is it taking so long???
I asked "Are you complaining about MMR or Queue times"
BHVR knows that their MMR is crap... then why do they keep using it?
-
Pig:
STBFL, Sloppy, Corrupt and Whispers
This was a build that I used to use before (I think) the Artist came out... but now it's different
Huntress:
Iron Maiden, Discordance, Corrupt and Whispers
This is the build I was using... before I had to stop playing
Spirit:
STBFL, Discordance, Corrupt and Whispers
This is the build I was using... before I had to stop playing
-
Good for them (and I use that term loosely... as I imagine that it's something worth celebrating)
-
It is possible... If they code the game with C++
But good luck finding room for it... it's going to be big
-

Okay, call me ignorant that doesn't how coding works, but couldn't they just copy Rancor's requirement into No Way Out?
Not with how BHVR is coding...
Blueprints don't allow for specific changes... But C++ would
Plus there are other issues with Blueprints have... Notice all of the Bugs when they release something new?
-
Players have learned how to run loops... and how to counter them at the same time
There were only 3 Killers when the game first came out... now we have 25 (with the Knight being the newest) (I may be wrong about the number of Killers... sorry) and a lot of them bring an anti-looping power to the game
Players have learned all of the Killer's powers and how to deal with them (to a certain point... Nurse says HI... but it comes out as a screech... LOL I had to)
Players have learned about what perks do and how to counter them as well... and some of them aren't worth using (just saying... wink wink, nudge nudge BHVR)
The game went from a party game to play when bored to this competitive party hybrid (which doesn't make much sense... but that's my opinion)
And with each iteration of the game... things change (for better or worse... again BHVR please realize this)
-
Good for you being a top MMR Killer... DO you want a cookie for it???
Quick question(s).... How do you know that you are at the top of the MMR? Also If you don't count then how (again) do you know that your win-rate is around 75%?
There's more that needs to be done rather then forcing "high level MMR" Solo Survivors to play against "low MMR" Killers
No one can give a good reason cause BHVR couldn't give a good reason for it... so who knows
-
But they will run out of those at some point... So it makes sense to ask about the lesser known movies and games
-
I can't wait for bots to be in the game... It's going to be better then playing against real people on Killers I'm not good with
-
It's going to suck.... seems that the game is more about wait times rather then good matches
-
If the gate(s) are opened and all 4 Survivors are there and healthy then leave... Why does the Killer need to do anything?
Why give the Survivors more points... they won why would I (as a Killer) have anything to do with the Survivors (seems that they are safe and can leave anytime)
