I don't think that the game could handle another status effect
But how about changing skillchecks based on status effects
I actually made a post on my suggestions of what they would be
-
There are minor differences with the survivors
I would like to see a 4th tier perk progression for the individual survivor teachables.... it would feel more realistic imo
-
Gen speed is fine (coming from a player whom play more killer then survivor and on console and in the mid ranks)
Let's talk about all of the perks items and add on that survivors can use to make the gens faster... first up Perks
SC: 6% faster repair speed but 10% increased skillcheck trigger odds and skillcheck zones are reduced by 10%
PT: 10% repair speed bonus
Resilience: 9% increased speed on evert hinges while injured
TINH: 30% bigger skillcheck zones while injured
Next are toolboxes:
Brown toolbox: moderately increases repair speed... slightly decreases skillcheck zones
Yellow toolbox: moderately increases repair speed
Green toolbox: considerably increases repair speed
Purple toolbox: tremendously increases repair speed
Now add-ons:
BNP: installing automatically repairs 15%... hitting skillchecks do 5% repair progress up to a total of 25% of Gen repair progress
GW: moderately increases skillcheck zones
SS: moderately increases repair speed
CR: slightly increases repair speed
I know I left some out but (I hope) you get my point...base Gen speed it fine... its the speed of progression vs. regression
But on to killers (you know... the regression part)
DL: hooking non-obsessions causes the non-obsessed to have 3% penalty to repair per stack (I think 8 is max)
Hex: HL: 6% regression on missed skillchecks
Hex: Ruin: Good skillchecks cause 5% regression... great skillcheck give 0% bonus to progression
Overcharge: 5% regression on the missed skillcheck
TT: Gens can't be worked on for 16 seconds after picking up a survivor... but also can't be regressed
CI: 3 gens furthest away from killer are blocked for 120 seconds
Surge: applies 8% regression on all gens within 32 meters of a survivor put into dying state
PGTW: 25% of total progress is instantly gone after hooking a survivor and kicking a Gen within 60 seconds
Can someone add in what the base regression is for base kicking gens... TY
-
I forgot about those two... lol
How about... Cursed: two separate zones spawn on the skillcheck. Missing the skillcheck will cause more until done right
-
Hex: Ruin has been in the game for what 2 years (maybe, I didn't play when Hag came out) and so survivors have gotten used to hitting those skillchecks (for the most part) it's not Gen speed that needs to be looked at its the bonuses giving for hitting great skillchecks without Hex: Ruin active
Plus add in survivor perks like TINH, and Resilience, SC, Leader, Prove Thyself
Also add in toolboxes with Brand New Part and another add on like Grip Wrench and Spring Clamp. Or the add on that increase repair speeds
And on the killer side we have Hex: Ruin, Thanatophobia, DL, Overcharge, PGTW, Surveillance, TT, Discordance, CI
TL:DR... base Gen speeds are in a good spot let's not kid ourselves. Through adding perks, items and add ons make it feel like gens are done quickly and killers are using perks to try and combat it... but if you don't down the first survivor in 20 seconds GG
-
^^^^ so true
-
Instead of thinking of it as a 2v8 they could do a "killer 1v1"
On the your lobby screen you see the 4 survivors that the other killer has to kill and vice-versa
The killer who either kills all their survivors or who has the most kills "wins"
Think of it as Red Rover... where 1 killer spawns with "his/her team" the survivors have to run to the other side of the map and complete a # of gens to open the gate on their side and run back without getting killed
-
I started with the Pig... first kill was a head pop lol... was one of those "didn't care enough for a 4k".... then I ran into toxic survivors who changed my state of mind...
If you're going be toxic I'll give it right back... or the survivors in the next game are getting try hard killer lol
But overall I have fun rather it's dealing with a Sabo (solo or swf) or a teabagger on every pallor drop... I laugh and move on
-
Totally agree... but the meta hasn't changed in what 2 months
It's the same 4-6 perks being used for both killers and survivors... I'd like to see more perks added and adjusted so it's not the same ol same ol
-
I agree with you on a perk overhaul, but I'd like to add more base perks for both killer and survivors... this game needs a refresh
IMO this game is perk based and in threoy making adjustments on perks can be better then adjusting killers
Also I'd like to see a perk set that can only be used by a single survivor (like a "talent" or "ability") so survivors feel more like characters and not cosmetics
-
It's a matter of perspective, this game is being played on pc and consoles (mobile as well). The devs need to separate the different platforms their game is being played on...
Plus HL could use a QOL adjustment...
I hate to say this (but)... I think a test server on consoles can be a good thing, allow console players to test new things give feedback on what could be adjusted... IMO it won't "split" the player base but encourage the devs to look at the game through the lens of a console player... I know that the devs can't force it... its up to the console maker to allow it
-
Billy and bubba.... double chainsaw... hahahahaha
-
Like... perk balance or killer power balance?
Cause imo there are disagreements on what "needs buffs" or "needs nerfs" so why not double the amount of killers and survivors and let chaos reign (sarcasm of course)
I know what you mean... I think of how I'd balance the mode but haven't reached anything passable yet
-
I'd it's quite different depending on platform and "rank"
-
I love the verity that the game offers... can't wait to see more :)
-
Tier 10... working on 20 metals of gold or higher in the 2 tome
-
How about making it work like DH: as gens get done it gets stronger... I don't know any numbers to apply to it but it's an idea
-
Yea... my point being that up to a certain point you get common and uncommon, then you see more rare etc... its like the game wants ppl to "slow down" to get everything
-
So I dug some more and found that there're killer whom don't meet the add on standerd:
Billy
Doctor
Shape
Huntress
Bubba
I don't know about the other dlc killers... I don't have them
-
Both saw killers... couldn't tell who'd be first though
-
No one yet?
-
Yes plz add this
-
I don't have money to spend on the plague's dlc... so I'd have to wait for it to show up on the shrine but I would totally use it if I had it
Thanks... I do appreciate the tip (seriously I do)
-
I had a good thought (yay... lol)
-
Sounds like a nice QoL tinker... change.... update (idk the right word lol) but keep some higher tier add-ons and offerings... just decrease the chance of finding those in pre-prestiged blood webs "slightly"
-
Something like 5 or more perks for 2000 or more shards?
-
But then you reach a certain level (or have all of the perks) releasing more base perks will inject more possibilities into the game that it needs
-
I think of it like a channeled doctor... plus I'd see it like the same power meter and once activated it drains based on time and attacks (add-ons very the duration/number of M1's)
-
But... it'll take time... and ppl willing to actually test it on the ptb... find any problems with it and solve them immediately
-
Yea... its sad but true

Nerfs don't change meta. Buffs do. Want Ruin/BBQ to become less meta? Advocate for other perks to get buffed.
I read it somewhere earlier but (if I find it I'll give credit to the person whom posted it) the way to change the meta is to buff weak perks into existence not to nerf the good perks out of existence
-
There are a lot of issues with the Legion... but I think the idea you have is a decent start
But I would include a visual effect on screen for survivors... like a variation of undetected that covers the edges of the screen until they deal with it

Do you think it would be something that would help legion?
-
I am a "slightly" skilled killer... I don't use BBQ at all and found "moderate" success at finding survivors... I am however still trying to find a substitute for ruin (only have 4 killers lvl 40+)
-
I do see it a lot... I mostly play killer and I don't do that....
-
Overwatch... for the most part
-
So like doctor's madness... sounds cool
