Lol/Dota clone.

She is just another survivor skin. What's so special about her, glasses?
Based on previous patch updates experience I'm taking break and wait till they fix all upcoming bugs and crashes.

Which part? When a decisionmaker do not ask the coder that what they should do with their own property?
Part when captain choses to go North everyone on board should know they go North. Without it u won't trust your captain and question his decisions. That's why suddenly rats start to run from ship.
It doesn't happen when everyone on boat agrees with goals and main course.

Why should a developer have to know about financial or law decision of a company?
It's called reputation. And reputation among civilized people means a lot.

Yeah, some said that it would be nice, if MMR cared about hooks. It would have both good and bad effects.
Good, is that even tho you didn't kill anyone, I would see 8 hook and maybe 1-2 kills is damn good game for the killer and that killer would be rewarded for it.
Problem is that campers would lose MMR and that would result in worse survivors, that would just keep getting destroyed more and that killer would just never have reason to get better in chases and improve overall.
It might be fixed with hook stages instead of just hooks. So even if you camp someone you get 3 stages, but you would get rewarded for you extra hooks even if it didn't result in kill.
But I think killer MMR system works fine now, I have issues with survivor MMR more.
Tutorial and game guides needs to be improved. Current tutorial just teaches u there are some buttons and u can press them.
There should be something like missions that teach u how to outplay AI camping killer so players could practice before going online*

Well, some don't care about any of those, I just don't want game to take 5 minutes and I want to have fun.
That is different when I am grinding for max grade tho, there I care about hooks, because I have to for pips...
I have seen posts, where they wanted to "punish" campers by making them "lose" the game.
Camping is not good for some killers and there are times where camping is best thing killer can do.
Like when I managed to get 3-gen and hook inside, why the hell would I leave?
Of course face camping on 5 gens suck, but it's quite rare at least for me.
I mean killers who use camping as main strat. For me there's huge difference between 2 hook play and 8+. First is boring for both sides but there are people who are perfectly fine cause kills only matter.
-
@Dino7281 said:
It depends on killer.
Camping Wraith? Noone cares.
Camping bubba? Houston, we have a problem.
Then just combine it with NOED for easy MMR, but let's be honest.
This work only when you manage to get down fast enough, if they finished 3 gens before your first down, because survivor played save, you are ######### and camping will not save you. This will become issue higher you go with MMR, so it will stop working that well.
I don't understand players that would want them to lose MMR for it, it would actually help those killers and camping would work more and more for them...
Correct me if I'm wrong, but majority doesn't care about MMR while they can talk about it whole day and pretend they are best out of best players in the world and know everything. Killers want kills at all cost and if they need to make it boring as hell, they do it.
There are so many players who think hooks are irrelevant and only kills matter that makes me think there's something wrong with players.

I don't downplay anything. Dbd forum has it's own reputation and for me it's like a big kindergarden compared to other forums. I have never ever saw platform where people complain about everything in way they do here.

People are overreacting about everything here. Don't take it too serious without proper investigation.
Nfts in games is - play to earn system that promotes to use Blockchain and crypt tokens as something to trade for ingame goods which isn't good cause it's dark market.
I don't remember exact date but Steam announced they will ban every game that goes this way.
Pinhead license owners somehow are with Ntfs and it drops a shadow on DbD, so our fellow forum nerds start panic and spam ######### all over that *End is near, Nibiru is coming*

I don't think so. According to steam rules u played more than 2 hours and I don't see any way they accept refund.

I'm a little surprised they finally started to merge threads (how many different NOED, Camping, Keys, SWF, RCPD, Haddonfield, Spirit, Iron Will, Boon Totem, MMR, and DS threads do we need).
Friday the 13th game forum mods were ruthless when it came do no having duplicate threads and actually would close more threads than they merged.
Every single forum needs to be ruthless. I'm surprised Dbd is so soft towards spamming same threads over and over.

I don't have a massive issue with Dead Hard tbh. I kind of see it the same way that I see other exhaustion perks, it'll give you that boost but then it's not going to help you for the rest of the chase.
Dead Hard basically allows you to be greedy, it lets you get another loop around a pallet for example - it's not a mistake when survivors do this, it's intentional, they know they have Dead Hard so they know they can make the loop before dropping that pallet, or make the window.
I still think Sprint Burst is a stronger exhaustion perk, but I feel that Dead Hard is more frustrating for some players to play against.
If SB was at least half close that strong as some think it would be more popular, but we have 3-4 DH users every single game. So no, i disagree with u.

You sure? Idk maybe it's just me getting back in the game from my long break.
I am. I'm not happy with killer over all state but look at it from different angle. Let's for example take Otz games. He had 50 games 3K winstreaks on almost every killer and multiple streaks where he failed to achieve 50 cause he lost at some point. So it's 20+/30+/40+ or closer to 50. And same goes for another popular streamers.
And now count his wins overall per 1000 games. What it is 950+ vs 50 loses overall? Because he beated babies over and over and over? Now look at him games. They are not so one sided.

As far as I'm aware. The dirt she kicks up was not added. You just get audo that she's phasing ? I didn't test on the PTB. But you wouldn't be able to tell WHERE she's phasing. Just that she's phasing correct ? Which means you can phase and not move an inch and get your hit from them vaulting back over a pallet, etc ?
U can track her based on audio. So unless it's L loop and she is far away u can 100% track which direction she is coming from.
-
@BrokenSouI said:
People are still going to hate spirit. The mind games will still exist. It's not hard to make an audio cue. Have them think you're phasing. While you stood in place and get your EZ hit
U can track her movement now. Stand still mind games won't work anymore.
-
I don't think this discussion is valid cause Perks are way too strong and game deciding, not just little tuning towards killer. And killers don't play without them.
-
I am actually exited cause now i can buy Spirit and learn her without any hate from guessing games.

The problem isn't that players aren't getting 4ks, or that they're winning or losing. I'm not going to lie, there's games where I do get a 4k and winning gives me that feel good.
The problem is the constant sweat and lack of variety when it comes to meta perks used in EVERY match I'm in. It's mentally exhausting and frustrating playing this game, especially when you decide to deviate even slightly from the meta which will cost you any sort of fun since the game will already be over or 10x harder for you.
"You didn't bring any gen slowdown perks? Hope you liked waiting in queue for X amount of time just for the game to end in 4 minutes or less."
"You or your team didn't bring X perk? Hope you like getting tunneled/slugged right out of the game after waiting in queue for X amount of time."
And again, that's not including all the other points I previously mentioned which compounds with that problem.
Edit: And that's just perks, we're not not going to talk about lower tier Killers who simply can't keep up in the higher MMR.
It's not going to be solved until devs announce game as competitive. Currently it feels like they want to sit on all chairs same time and don't balance it around strong players cause weak ones will complain game is too hard and they want easy wins. And it will be nightmare for noobs until they make something like babies league to protect them from experienced players.

If you don't agree that bugs, unbalanced perks and powers, bad map design, and bad optimization sucks, idk what to tell you. Maybe it's good that you didn't waste your time reading the rest of it.
I agree it isn't in best state and there are issues but more i read new topics more it feels that some people overreacting when they describe problems. Especially when it comes to survivors vs killer. One complain its too hard to kill another complain it's too hard to escape and both are quiet when they escape or get 4k as if wins doesn't matter and only loses are important.

I would estimate I escape 1 in 5 these days. Personally I don't care about escapes. I want enjoyable matches. Unfortunately the system gives me nothing but idiot teammates unless I escape. Almost like matching people on a single criteria was a bad idea.
So u farming instead of escaping right? Then no wonder u fall in mmr if u keep dying over and over.

No, there point is they feel like the system is putting them in games where they're way over matched. My survivor games have been miserable because I get the absolute potatoe teammates. So I can empathize.
U have 100% lose rate? Because this sounds as broken record. Killer mains can't win cause survivors are god like meanwhile survivor mains can't win cause suddenly there are no good survivors.
Miracles happen or someone refuses to be honest.

So wanna talk about need for slow-down perks too? Or tracking perks.
It's not like killers don't have perk tax, in high MMR at least. Difference is that for killers it's X perks of 4 total vs X perks of 16 total.
Just to correct - Of total 24+ if they are on coms.
-
Whole thread is about *Give me free kills! I don't want to play for them. Blah, blah bad game forces me to play good. Where are my Ai survivors and 2-4K every game!? Arrrr....*
-
Those who complain about tunneling are [Bad word] players who don't care about anything and most likely don't play killer.
Complaining about tunneling is probably a babie mindset. It's not Survivors who should decide how are they going to die. And if such players expect killer be nice and friendly and follow survivors rule book then they are delusional.
-
It wasn't more casual, it was more stupid. Killer beated babies and less skilled players 24/7. Watch any good killer main, there were huge 3-4K win streaks on any killer that shouldn't even happen.
No it's fair for both sides. U get better - face better survivors.

Being placed on a hook is part of the game. Camping a hook or downed player is part of the game but definitely shouldn't be, because that counts as holding a player hostage. There's no more to it than that. No justifying, no changing the terms, no amount of what-ifs and maybe scenarios will change what camping is.
It doesn't and it's not bannable even if u disagree.
Holding hostage was multiple times discussed and it's a situation when player A block player B from moving and leaving game in any other way than Dc.
If i find u, body block in corner and wait hours watching u, its holding hostage. If i face camp u, it's not cause I'm securing my potential kill and u will die in around 100 sec.
Also someone mentioned good point before, people in Action games don't complain about how they got killed. So i wonder if u die in game like Cs, for example, 1sec after u spawn, will u complain how unfair it is because your playtime was 1 sec and now u are forced to 10 min spectate. I don't think so.
And here same idea. If u screwed up and killer got u, don't cry if he decides to kill u.
-
U bring killer meta and complain about survivors going meta. ROFL.
-
Yesterday I tested few games in SoloQ and it's possible to 2-4 man escape without perks. Also I saw some streamers have win streaks without perks. So unless you afraid of multiple complains from suicide squads it will be fun.

Wow, you just cant help yourself can you? I feel youre not even gaining anything from this point. And defining something just because you think that's what it is to you? Come on.. Move on already, youre not adding anything more to this conversation saying that i'm shooting myself in the foot is some way of making yourself sound superior, if that's what you need for yourself, by all means, do and say what you must.
Again, youre no longer providing points for a productive conversation so why dont you stop "shooting yourself in the foot".
Again, moving on.

@fixdeadhard said:
Why not simply make a system that depends on amount of gens finished, it should just punish camping very hard early game, this way the killer cant deny the first survivor to actually play the game, it also counters the killers that want to camp the first survivor real quick to get an ez game for the rest of the match, it also counters that the 3 other survivors dont just have an m1 game while the killer is waiting for the first survivor to die. (doing gens agaisnt a facecamper is no counter... its litterly just not playing the game, not the killer not the survivors, the match becomes an actual m1 generator simmulator.) Just make the penalty smaller when more gens are completed, disable it if 2 gens total are completed or whatever but at least do something about these early campers.
I remember a guy playing leatherface that downed the first survivor in 20seconds and hard facecamped the first second he was hooked without any1 around, i checked his profile and he had 1000+ PAGES!! of comments on his profile back to 2016 that he was doing this same thing. people want to have fun playing games, why do 10000's of people have to experience this just for 1 guy his own fetish.
BHVR is slow at everything they do but does it rly have to take 5+ years for a huge design flaw to be addressed? it cant be that hard to make 1 of the systems (the many systems they claim to have but didnt work out) generator dependend, its litterly just a number check...
Because good survivors can finish 5 gens by time 1 dies assuming u didn't get down in first 10 sec and can run at least for half a minute. But weaker survivors always want to nerf everything to make it even more survivor sided.

What point is there discussing how the 3 random teammates messed up if you cant even discuss with them and intend to play with those same people again and again..? What, do i discuss it with myself? right.... and it wont even matter in future matches with other random teammates, especially when the situations are different every other time.
And this isn't about survivor perks, comparing them to killer's and which are op, its about, again, Noed and why it should be revised.
Because once u start a game u need to keep in mind teamwork helps survive. If u just want to mess around then yeah, there's no point in discussing.
-
I tried it multiple times. At some point i forget who is dead on hook and who's not. So when i hit 8 hooks and survivors are happy about how good killer they face, i find myself confused cause i did it randomly. 😂

The only reason I suggested it is because camping is completely unfair to a player that has no recourse but to sit there waiting to die. Its needs to be something that pushes the balance out of wack for the killer on the slip side so they are less inclined to do it. Some kind of penalty thats not a bp loss so as to discourage it
Make it so survivors have shared BP pool. It's quite good reward for those who don't quit or dc and keep hitting skill checks on hook.
I think if u get for example 15-20k instead of 4k u won't be so mad about it.
Currently there's is no way to force killers move away cause killing survivors is base mechanic.

"It's not hard for 4 survivors"
I am not 4 survivors though, I am only one survivor.
And u have 3 random teammates. It's better to discuss how your team messed it up than force another killer nerf. If we keep nerf everything on killer side because survivor want to make it easier 1v1, killers will run away from u. Is it so hard to keep in mind survivors have multiple second chance perks/items/ hatch and u are not supposed to escape every game?
Noed isn't even close op if i start comparing it with survivors meta perks.

@Firellius said:

This is the bullshit argument.
If I do 4/5 totems, NOED will still kill me.
'it's a team effort!'
And the team has no means of communicating their progress, or which areas have been sweeped. Not to mention the fact that NOED will usually hit harder if totems do get done.
The -only- scenario in which the penta-cleanse actually counters NOED is if the killer actually has it and doesn't manage to apply enough pressure. Otherwise, it's the best slowdown perk in the game and/or a free kill or two.
If people want to make the 'do bones' meme an actual argument, NOED's functionality should be proportional to totems remaining.
Then blame your teammates? Logic?
Your current complain is Bs. Instead of blaming bad teamwork and decision making u blame player who has nothing to do with it.

Well not everyone is you and has eagle vision in the game and has the super ability to notice every single dull totem in every single one of their games and has the spare time to cleanse each and every single one of them. At least a quarter of my matches, IF i notice a dull totem, i will possibly cleanse in case they have Noed, then other times i dont, either not noticing them or in mid-chase.
Just trying to over-simplify your argument and then state that you're superior at the game is not a sound argument that i will accept based off of your basic logic.
U don't need super powers to move your camera while running. It's not me having eagle vision but u having tunnel vision and don't see anything outside 4x4cm box

Okay, no one is crying over here, don't go making stuff up. And i am stating my situation and providing a recommendation, far from complaining. Again, it is not a case of just simply "ignoring side objectives", Half of the time totems are not even noticeable, especially depending on the flow and rhythem of the entire game.
I don't know how u can't notice them. I clear minimum 2 totems every game just by moving from gen to gen. Only map i struggle to clean them it's Silent hill.
And when I think we are 4 man team vs 1 guy, it makes no sense to me when someone complains about totems.
If Noed popped and killer killed everyone it's survivors fault.
-
@kirvo said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2565630#Comment_2565630
And use that as a reason to take time away from completing gens sooner? Right... That's not a justifiable reason to excuse how absurd the perk is, and say "just cleanse dulls every game".
Noed is Ok. Survivors that ignore totems and then complain they were punished for it is not Ok.
To make it simple u ignore side objects and then cry how unfair it is to be punished for it.
-
It's frustrating that survivors don't have press to win button. Devs rly need to fix it and give survivors rocket launcher so each time they want to escape they can shoot down killer.
-
@scenekiller said:
If you define a win by 4ks only, then I guess this makes sense. More power to you.
I can't see how thinking you should get a 4k every single match would be any fun or realistic, though. Just sounds like self-induced stress.
It's knowing killer u like and enjoy playing sucks and underperforming. Compared to Spirit and Nurse almost every killer sucks. And it's very frustrating to play when u know u can't win.
-
B tier shouldn't exist. All killer needs to be tuned around current A tier so difference between strongest and weakest was tiny.
-
I don't know why are u so obsessed with win. I'm currently testing things (10 games on each side) and play perkless with rule if killer finds me, I let him kill me, i don't run away. And no matter who i get as killer i let them go.
And i found that even when i play as complete 0 braincell machine im able to get pips. And pips is only important thing left cause i can't see my mmr. So when i play for win i still don't know am i capped or no.
