From a killer pov it makes sense to get rid of one survivor asap.
But for the player who plays that survivor it just sucks. They don't get to do anything, earn no points and die first. It just isn't fun.

I just saw this and I am honestly starting to get pessimistic about the rift.
I am still planning to play the free route and try to get as far as possible and see what tier I reach but I am starting to think I won't get far. Unless the devs get enough feedback about it from the survey and change things.

If you have doubts you can finish it just play the free route and if you think the rewards you have reached are worth 1000 cells buy it.

You will be able to get the serum from the free path of the rift until the rift closes. You can still get it even after the event is over.
The only thing you won't get when the event ends are the offerings and event items.

Some people also say it's a scam and it's impossible to complete it.
I think it will be quite doable in the 70 days we get. The missions aren't the only way to get rift fragments.
And you can always just do the free route and if you think it goes well or if you reached rewards you think are worth it buy the pass and claim these rewards

You could use borrowed time for risky unhooks
Deliverance because unhooking yourself gives you 1500 survival points
Or selfcare since healing yourself gives you points

I find pig to be very easy to learn
You can dash attack. You put traps on survivors so they are busy to get if off and don't do gens.
Trapper, Wraith and Clown are also very simple abd easy to learn

I joined the game some time after the saw dlc came out. So I missed out on the hype and everything
I am fine with amanda being the killer and not John or hoffman. It doesn't fit johns character and I hate hoffman.
And Tapp... is my number 1 survivor

Her basekit might get looked at as well. No promises they will change a lot if at all.
