ive seen it happen for years now too and you should be concerned about a perk that has such an effect for doing nothing. none of these types of perks have been fun to play against ever ex. mettle of man or decisive strike. getting 3% haste for as long as you're injured by getting injured is the same asinine logic as getting a free hit shield for getting hit 3 times. no other haste buff from a perk is acquired by simply injured because of how insane it is. why would you ever equip yoichi's haste boon perk (which only gives 2% compared to 3%) when MFT exists. perks should not be so overpowered that you literally dont have a reason to use any of the other haste perks over MFT because 1. they are actually worse and 2. too rare and limited to actually make it worth (blood pact).
A significant portion of the perks in the game take LESS to activate and give a stronger effect.
Not sure you wanna make that argument

Personally I would hate this as it removes the counter play with Blood Echo and means I still have to deal with it every game :(
I'd like it if the Exhaustion only applied while running. Trying to make it so that it can't be used with DH

Idk how you'd see it was me since I play exclusively Killer.

How can killers play however the feel if you guys are actively removing said methods? If a guy made me mad with his trolling in game and I decided to get him out by face camping... how can I do it now? You've removed it.
Because while you are allowed to perpetuate a toxic cycle, the Devs aren't going to encourage it.

You can only control your own actions.
Personally, I don't like punishing bad behavior with more toxicity, but I understand that's not an easy route to take.

Whether I am playing Survivor or Killer, if I enter the same lobby with a group of 2-4 people with similar names with the same characters and skins, or a group where everyone has a toolbox and lights, I will leave. I don't want to go through a long wait to play one game of Survivor just to experience a one-sided game at the end of it, or play with a party whose goal is trolling, not escape.
POV: You get dodged for having two of the same characters

i want to know how you say this perk is just like hyperfocus bc frankly that makes 0 sense how you compare a perk that is always game breaking with no effort required vs a perk that actually requires some skill (and some luck as well) to make it worth using
if you are not equipping MFT in your build as a survivor, that means you dont mind being at a disadvantage on purpose just like not equipping an exhaustion perk on purpose. nobody cares if you pick empathy over bond but people care if you pick joke/niche perk over MFT because it isn't debatable which one actually matters
At their theoretical best, both perks are OP.
in all practicality, they don't get that sort of usage. People love to throw out the "20% more distance" number as if that's something that really happens.
People are freaking out over a strong perk. I've seen it happen for years now, sometimes they're onto something, sometimes they arent.

Hopefully it stays.

No, we are trying to remove stupidly broken effects that should've never made out of the brainstorming room
And yet, the perk isn't causing Survivors to just escape.
Perk is good. Strong, but not OP. Remove the Endurance, add Exhaustion.
Perk is just like Hyperfocus.

Just because she was problematic before doesn’t mean she should be made useless.
Not saying she is useless though, I don’t know how strong she is yet. The only thing that needed to be gutted was the 3 gen Merchant and they did that. Now we should be focusing on making her a decent killer that is both fun to play and fun to face.
I did not say she should be useless. I said i thought gutting her was justified. As you said, we don't know yet.
Her new design is almost guaranteed to be less problematic though, which is a good thing.

Pulsar there is a bit of spite in that comment, Im an Empath, I can feel it. 😆
I've had enough 3-gen games to be a little spiteful.
In all seriousness though, she needed a near complete kit re-design. If SM mains wanted her to be better, they need to accept that she's got to change.

The biggest thing that cant be denyed is she takes MUCH less skill now no matter what and has lost almost all agency when it comes to actual chase
How could she possibly take less skill than 3-genning.
Even just via numbers, she takes more skill because she has more Drones to use, allowing for more skill expression.

I really tried Xeno today for 5 matches. My feelings were all the same, no matter if I "won" or "lost" the match:
He feels really bad now. He feels punishing. Yeah I do mistakes, Yeah I miss hits, I am not perfect. I lose so much distance, its not fun at all. DBD means chases, chases, chases for me. This nerf seems small, but the amount of time survivors win thanks to the cooldown and the penalty is huge and it ends up in generators I cannot defend, because I dont have the time anymore.
Im out for this killer for now. I REALLY hope they revert this, it just feels horrible. Blight feels good, Wesker feels good, Oni feels good. Fatigue on Nurse is ok, because I can catch up. Especially in the current meta the Shift+W-Gameplay is too present.
Thats why I prefer playing Fast Pace Killers over everything else. Hope+MfT in the endgame is just the biggest L I have ever seen.
Shift+W-Simulator, so I need killers who dont need 50% of the map to catch up.
"He feels punishing."
There it is. People simply hate the fact that Survivors can now make distance after they whiff an attack.
Is the hitbox bugged? I think so. Does that mean that this last change wasn't good? Nope, Survivors should make distance if you miss.

Yeah, we got used to a better Xeno than the PTB version, but only because BHVR released it like they did. I paid money for this, you know? And it is so frustrating to buy a killer, play it, have fun (no, by that i do not mean 4k all the time) and then it gets changed for the worse - aka nerfed.
All the while a survivor, who does not even cost real money, has a perk, that is not touched in the slightest. Although you have many complains about MFT. Something here is wrong. I will not put any more money in this game until BHVR fixes their preferences. You need more killer players in the end for this game to work. So it is not a good idea to alienate them.
And it is not only just Xeno. Look at the tome challenges for the singularity. They are ridiculous. Even more so if you think about the bots they introduced, that always know where he is looking and can always hide from his pods. That always know where every killer is and where every killer is going. Killers have been nerfed more than enough.
Oh god do not use tome challenges to try to justify your weird theory of BHVR having it out for Killer players

To be fair I really like playing against Pinhead and Pig, they're not strong in chase and give something else to do. Its only Devs dont give simple chat stamp to give solo better coordination (at who will get the box). Sadako is beyond that though, only true swf can have enough coordination against her.
Pig is the proper amount of slowdown, I feel. Not enough chase, but a good amount of slowdown.
Pinhead's slowdown is too team dependent. Some teams will micro-manage the Box and you don't get a power. Other teams will not.

I find a good way to buff Hux is emps not complete printing, but requires extra 6-8sec to tap and get emps (then he has an extra minute than the current state). I believe emps is there as basekit slowdown for him, only the slowdown is barely exist because of complete printing.
For turret I think they only need to make each turret station only spawn 1 turret per min. Because I find in 3 Gens situation (survivors cause it), they just can keep get multiple turret at the same station, making Alien no power.
We need killers that not oppressive in chase but with base slowdown. Longer chase is fun for survivors, and longer objective is better for killer.
Its only up to them to balance between the chase strength and basekit slowdown.
Can't be too much basekit slowdown, else you get stuff like Pinhead.

I haven't done any real testing with it but I think it seems like there is a small window to adjust left and right before it locks down. However I was able to use that window to correct a couple of hits.
So pretty much like Nemesis. A small lingering hitbox.

Nemesis being able to drag the whip left/right, is far more valuable than Xeno being able to drag the tail up/down.
For starters, dragging Xeno’s tail doesn’t actually do anything useful, because it doesn’t “curve” the attack. Xeno could get the exact same hits by just aiming the tail properly in the first place, instead of purposely aiming incorrectly and dragging the tail.
The Nemesis whip being able to drag left/right is far more valuable, because Nemesis can move the hitbox left/right if the survivor tries to dodge it by move left/right. And yes, the whip prioritizing survivors over the environment is a huge benefit, that Xeno’s tail doesn’t have. I don’t need to line up the perfect angle with the Nemesis whip, because the whip wants to hit survivors. But if I don’t line up the perfect angle with Xeno’s tail, then the attack fizzles out because the tail wants to collide with the environment.
Can you not drag the tail left/right?
I'm pretty sure I've been dragging it left/right

I think pulser just feels sorry for survivors and thinks they should have it easier than killers. It most likely has to do with the fact he finds killers way too easily and thinks everyone is at the same skill level as the killer as he is. I never once see him defend killer esp when it comes to new killers on this forum and honestly, every interaction I ever have with the dude he comes off as some elitest comp player who thinks ppl can get on his level play overnight. He wants to baby survivors while also punishing killers even if they are new to the game. As you said when it comes to killer stuff his line of thinking is "get better" but when it comes to a survivor it is "this thing needs to be changed so it doesnt punish new survivor players".
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3543418#Comment_3543418
I competely agree with you on this point also. I found learning and getting hits with nemmy whip so much easier then xeno's tail. At least with nemmy whip if it hits something it doesnt competely stop the hitbox and you can drag it a lot easier. So many times I try to get those so-called "free hits" on xeno only to miss bc I need to around a counter and by the time I do that the survivor it free from the lock and can move again.
You should check the thread again.
I was the first person to say that I thought his tail attack was bugged due to my own experiences. Clearly, I'm an elitist who favors Survivors.

I have read your arguments before about oc, however my point is you play a double standar with your arguments, the same justification you gave for overcharge being too punishing to newer players could be applied to xeno, each time someone complains saying they fail tail attacks your reply is for them to get better, however you fail to use this same line of tought for things like overcharge, hell I agree with this xeno nerf, he needed it but honestly be consistent with critisims either everyone has to get good or none has to.
There's a difference between unfair and needing to practice.
Even if you have no ability to land out in the open Tail Hits; windows, pallets and other animation locks are free hits. Likewise, you are still able to progress the match. Heck, even good Xeno's use the Tail to zone and try to force a greed. Point being, you have agency, you have options even if you aren't able to get the hang of the power.
Completely different from the Overcharge example. A better example would be the beginner Survivor gameplay which is ABSURDLY Killer-sided. That's a case of needing more time to learn.

Didn't you complain about overchargein other discussions?, why cant you argument be use there, its not the games or killers fault you cannot hit overcharge and many people find it very easy to hit so its an ok perk to have and does not deserve a change, by your previously used logic.
Overcharge is poor design (specifically with SM is another matter) because it exemplifies the OG Ruin design.
It's absurdly punishing to new players since there is no cooldown, it can be applied infinitely and the punishment for missing an admittedly difficult skill check is severe. However, to more veteran players after the first Overcharge, it's USUALLY easy to hit. You can still be screwed over via bad RNG, but those players will generally hit the skill check making the perk nearly useless on its own.
That's why I want it changed.

Not gonna lie, this feels dramatic. I’ve been playing DBD from the start, and have never been ddos’d. I also don’t see death threats ever. This community is very mild and I’d even say mostly positive. Games like call of duty and R6S are games that you see toxicity every single match. DBD is nowhere near that.
I play every single day. I play alch ring blight majority of my games, one of the more hated builds. I also stream and advertise my channel in game. Why would I not be experiencing any of these things that you do?

You're both pretending that there's a conspiracy at BHVR to favor killers as a whole.
Lag compensation is a thing in every time and it will always favor the person doing the "action".
Either killers pressing m1 to hit you, or survivors long arming and getting a pallet stun while on same side as the killer, then noclipping and vaulting to the other side.
And quite frankly the second case is more much offensive since thats a whole 2-3 second sequence and isn't mitigated by preventing the noclip vault.
Here , learn how lag compensation works : https://youtu.be/6EwaW2iz4iA?si=WyA5gMJPfySZU1jz
No, we aren't. I'm only telling you what I know.
DBD's server will almost always defer to the Killer in instances of hits. If the Survivor client says the attack did not hit, but the Killer client shows it did, the Survivor client is usually disregarded and the Killer is awarded the hit.
They tried to swap it to Survivor-sided hits iirc, but that was a shitshow for multiple reasons.

We literally know that isn't the case.

If BHVR listened to the volume of complaints they'd have nerfed Blight years ago.

If you are so good with it, that you can hit with the tail consistently, then props to you. But so far I've only seen people that missed it fairly often. Even those that were pretty good already. I myself struggle with it too for multiple reasons and I dodged way more often than I was hit with it too.
I hope they'll test it out and adjust it again. I'm all for making the power punishing, so that it actually requires you to get better with it but making it so punishing, that people end up scared to use it and rather play M1 killer doesn't sit right with me, when the idea is that survivors should use turrets to give them an edge in chase.
I think the hitbox on objects is probably bugged at the moment. No proof, but if feels that way to me.
