This list is....questionable.
Artist A-tier, Singularity high B-tier and PH low A or high B
-
Depends.
I generally soft tunnel people. I'll try to two hook two Survivors before going after the others. Let's me swing control back easily if I feel a momentum shift coming.
Hard tunneling is either 3 consecutive hooks or 2-1-3
-
The fact of the matter is that there will almost always be a weak link.
It doesn't matter if it's not you, it doesn't even matter if the Killer identifies it and tunnels them out. If someone is cleansing a bunch of totems and opening chests whilst you or someone else is doing an optimal play, the Killer will still win if they aren't terrible.
If they do tunnel them out and force a 3v1 as many Killers like to do, good luck, since the game isn't balanced around that.
Basically, you can play perfectly and still lose for multiple games in a row.

Be real do you think anyone actually uses MFT for endurance value when buckle up ftp exists? They run it because it extends chases quite a bit.
Yes.
The average player will not get much value from the speed boost and they certainly won't feel it. They will feel and use the Endurance more often to go for dumb plays and get away with it.
Unlike Buckle Up FTP, MFT doesn't really prevent or delay tunneling with its effect.

I know you're probably gonna say "But that's a hex." though I do want to mention undying gives that effect onto dull totems. People don't run it for that, though. They run it so their other hexes have a second chance.
Like I said, permanent wall hacks are generally considered broken.
This would be like if Wiretap never went away.

Are you really being challenged if you swing the odds into your favor? A challenge is going in with a random (or at least non meta) build and nothing more and trying to escape. Bringing everything you can to make the game as easy as possible isn't being challenged.
Am I really being challenged if I'm handicapping myself? The answer is no. A challenge is when I'm playing to win and losing.
Does that mean I'm gonna go full tryhard to stomp a group of solos at 5 gens? No. Am I gonna throw against them though? Also no.

I wouldn't even consider that a broken idea. It would give it more utility aside from "HA, YOUR LIGHTS MEAN NOTHING!" Would incentivise survivors to not stick around stuff they already completed.
Permanent wall hacks are generally considered pretty broken.
-
Evidently, BHVR thinks basekit Shadowborn is broken.
Okay okay, serious this time.
Lightborn now reveals the aura of Survivors standing in the light of generators, fire barrels or generator powered lights.

To be fair I would accept the alternative of keeping the Endurance, and swapping the haste values of MfT and Dark Theory.
I would also be okay with that

This game is seven years old. By now most survivors have learned how looping works. Of course not everyone is completely immune to mind games but MFT still makes a big difference. Even just holding Shift + W and making your way over to the shack is a pretty safe option in most cases, thanks to MFT. And once you're there, its not all that difficult to loop with MFT either. Play like you normally would and MFT is still going to help you out with another loop around a pallet, the distance to make it to the window etc.
I doubt it was ping related. Everyone in that match had a good connection and that was more than a full second after they stepped into the snare. Even if the hindered status had ended right before the vault, they should not have gotten a fast vault (too little momentum).
I would have to see it to be sure, as a fairly experienced DBD player, I'm sure you know that sometimes the game is just weird.
-
Because I enjoy winning and I like to be challenged.

If hug tech is removed, that would be the most best thing Blight received. You know why? Hug tech is based on slippery objects, if behavior remove hug tech, thats gonna also mean that no more slippery object. No more slippery objects? Then we can play him easily without fearing that we wouldn't get bump into objects. Hug tech is not a bug, it's a skill that needs time to master. And in my Blight experience, some players know how to counter it since hug tech usually make Blight have to look down and face into the object, so he wouldnt see much, thats when survivors start to run out of the loop, or change their location to avoid hug wall.
Hug tech is literally confirmed to be a bug.
You can say it shouldn't be removed, but it is factually a bug.

I hope not. There are a few other things that would still rub me the wrong way.
You don't know, if a survivor has MFT until it's too late and staying injured with MFT and Resilience is pretty much no threat at all against the average M1 killer. Just yesterday I had a survivor that got a fast vault while they were slowed by a dream snare because of MFT. This is not ok. The weaker the killer is, the more they get punished by this perk. Shouldn't it be the other way around?
I think MFT would be fine, if there was an indicator that it's in play (this stupid gaslighting has to stop) and if the survivor had to do something to obtain it. But as it is, the survivor is rewarded for getting outplayed / playing bad. It's a lot like NOED, just worse. Because NOED is only active for a short period of time and can be dealt with.
The average M1 Killer will not be playing against Survivors who use the perk to its potential.
Also, the thing with Freddy is likely ping related. Same reason you can fast vault against Clown, Pinhead or Doc.

If they are really reasonable, they will remove 3%.
See, that's simply not reasonable.
The Endurance doesn't match up with the perk and is likely giving it a lot of unnecessary value.

Biggest thing is this, if you don't like the DLC then don't buy it.
I had no interest in Alien, haven't bought it, never plan too.
It really isn't a big deal if they add a chapter you hate.
So you'd be fine with them adding Jeepers Creepers even though it'd be supporting a convincted predator?
-
They'll remove the Endurance and do nothing else because they are reasonable.
-
I still think it would be PR suicide to do a full FNAF Chapter. Would be a complete 180 on BHVR's prior championing of LGBTQ+ causes and supporting the community.

Assuming you're NA, I'd be happy to hop in a custom and DH your tail attacks until you get bored. Again, I reacted to the screenshot posted below.
If I had literally any time, I'd be down.

If you can DH on reaction and still have ~0.25s to spare before the hit connects, then you can most certainly dodge on reaction as well (although with much less consistency, I'd venture to say). I wouldn't exactly call my 70ms that game "good ping".
If you can DH on reaction, then you can react to the attack. Ergo, it is, by definition, reactable.
The more I look at the video, the more it looks like you just predicted it and got lucky tbh
-
You can DH on reaction IF you have good ping and the Killer has good ping.
You cannot dodge on reaction because you can't move fast enough to avoid the hitbox.
-
Welcome!
-
Even if it wasn't, I say it to remind myself that there are real people behind the opponents I play against.
It can be so easy to forget that.

Then why was DH still the most complained about perk for ages? Even after DH for distance was removed.
Because it wasn't locked behind multiple conditions and it wasn't a one and done perk
-
I'll try to give my analysis of the first game in the morning.
I watched the first 30 seconds. Turret knocked you out when you could've hid from it and kept your power and have the Survivor zoned. Kept chasing without power, which is a big mistake, imo.

I mean… I think it’s reaching to say DH is a bad perk. I still get a TON of value from it, as do a lot of players.
Perks that depend on the opponents ping are almost never good.

it does not, i play killer mainly and can say for sure survivor prestige has zero correlation to his skill level. I can obliterate full p100 lobby(happened only twice, but still, both were 4k for me), horribly lose to zero prestige.
If i ever dodge, its when i have 4 survivors with the same skin. It does not neccesary mean its SWF that will destroy me, but its just annoying to deal with them, since you cant memorize them having exhaustion perk, BT, etc...
That is nice that you see it that way, but most Killers do not.
-
Good question. None of them addressed any particular issue.
His biggest issues are needing MoTR and the buggy Guard AI, imo.

You can easily run dead hard and adrenaline with it
So you can run a bad perk and a perk that requires you to be in a winning position.

I honestly don't have an issue with matchmaking at all, I may have one killer who dodges a lobby once a day but its not that serious. I do think if you feel like your constantly BM'd for you prestige it should be your choice to hide it. I do not think the game should chose for you.
I average 3 dodges per lobby as a P100.
Good luck if you load into a lobby with another P100.

@DrFlubber said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3534928#Comment_3534928
But why do you think so?
It does far more damage to the game than is immediately apparent.
It promotes lobby dodging on both sides, but mainly Killer. This negatively impacts matchmaking in a MASSIVE way. Not only that, but it helps cultivate a culture where people who dare to dedicate time to something get BM'd in many fashions
-
It does far more harm than good.
It should be hidden.
-
Hiding prestige is necessary.
-
It's been a week. Killers aren't often nerfed this quickly.
That being said, his Tail Attack needs adjusting.
-
I don't know what you want from these posts other than to get reactions from people.
Nobody can give you advice without gameplay and it doesn't sound like you want any advice.

As some one whos been in the CS:GO community, DbD doesnt even come close to that cess pool and according to a few friends of mine, neither does League (theyve played DbD themselves quite a bit)
All you really have in DbD is whiny kids tell you to not play a certain way because they didnt like it. CS:GO on the other hand had cheaters that just spam slurs in VC until they got vote kicked, not to mention 3/4 mans bullying the hell out of their random(s) until the very last round to vote kick them so they got a penalty. You also had a very common term that included a slur in it.
The only game that I can think of that comes even close to CS is TF2. Watch a friend play it all the time and the cheaters/bots are rampant and do the exact same #########. Keep in mind I stopped playing CS in 2018, and from the looks of it there hasnt been anything to address the toxicity, and the community hasnt changed either.
Sounds like the DBD Xbox Community prior to Crossplay
-
The game lends itself to toxic people pretty well.
-
Do you do anything except insult people
-
Could be a test like with the hiding Prestige thing.
They've known there have been complaints about the game feeling too competitive so maybe they are testing out a looser matchmaker, like we used to have
-
Probably A-tier, I think its still too early to call
-
Hey wow, someone who thinks Calm Spirit isn't a throwing perk.
Surely it's not bait.
-
I don't know if I'd say there are any OP in general.
In certain scenarios, or on certain Killers, I'd say there are a couple.

Main issue i see is that some people barely use turrets. Maybe they think they are not worth it. Or don´t know how they work. But a turret at a chokepoint or somewhere you can lead the killer to, can make all the difference during the chase.
This requires either coordination that most players won't have or an extremely large time investment which most games aren't able to reasonably accommodate without it being a throw move.

I actually think it's quite balanced as it is. Hell, against very strong groups it's very weak. But that's 90% of the roster.
I think, the cooldown for missed attacks could be higher. That's it.
The cooldown isn't the issue, he feels very fast during it, that's the issue imo.
You don't lose much distance for missing.
-
This happens on pretty much every Killer release, so I'm not super surprised.

Funnily enough, Xeno is now the talk of the town. This always happens here.
It's because he's a new Killer and we are trying to figure out how best to balance him.
What areas need shoring up and what areas need toning down.

Fun fact: Huntress can spam her power faster. Especially with addons. Yet no one complains or finds her overwhelming OP.
I mean, seriously. In the thread before this, someone complained about encountering wesker 5 times in a row. Alien hasn´t even been out for a week. Yet people ask for nerfs before anyone can even learn to play as or against Alien. Its almost like people don´t want more viable killers. But prefer to have the next push over killer, in order to complain about the 3 meta killers ad nauseum.
So far there are no "watch me get xxx streak kills on Alien" or "with this combo, Alien is unstoppable" video from the content creators. Mayyyybe the tail attack isn´t as uncountable as people claim.
Just give people time to adapt. Or do you see Complaints about Sadako? Remember the killer that got a rework and everyone predicted that she would be the most unstoppable killer? Since some even called her a S-Tier killer?
Uh, yeah, I still see complaints about Sadako. She's still pretty nuts and at the very least, is an absolutely miserable Killer to play against. They just took the old Condemned strat and made jt basekit, for all intents and purposes.
I didn't say the tail attack was uncounterable, I said that I thought it was unreactable.
-
You cannot react to a Xeno tail attack, iirc. Likewise, his missed attack cooldown speed allows him to spam the ability without losing much distance.
-
He's good, no doubt, but he's so complicated and requires a high-level knowledge of the game to be played at all.
That excludes toomany people, hence why you don't see him.
-
Oh yeah, the perk is nuts. Massive potential on high mobility Killers and it's still good on lower mobility Killers as well.
