break a bad perk.

we talk too much about nerfing the good perks, let's talk about buffing the bad ones for a bit.

overbuff a bad perk to the point of them being broken. but not necessarily an instawin(possibly)

just 1 rule, try not to add or remove any effects from it. it's more interesting and fun if it's the actual perk being broken.

bonus points if you leave a counterplay open that obviously won't ever apply in any way that really matters.

for mines.

blood warden now last 2 minutes.

counterplay - so you want to leave the person on the hook to eat the timer out. totally a doable thing, what even is a death hook?

Blood pact now has a range of 50 meters.

counterplay - REALLY split people up.

  • Evidently, BHVR thinks basekit Shadowborn is broken.

    Okay okay, serious this time.

Lightborn now reveals the aura of Survivors standing in the light of generators, fire barrels or generator powered lights.

  • I mean, if it needs to be broken... Lightweight - Survivor no longer leaves scratch marks.

  • Better than new: increases their Action speeds in Repairing Generators, Vaulting speed, Healing, Unlocking, Cleansing, and Blessing by 12/14/16%.

  • Quick and Quiet has its cooldown removed (making it permanent) and it also permanently mutes survivor breathing/exertion grunts when performing actions such as vaulting

Some killers would grow to hate this perk if it was like this lmao

  • Any Means Necessary: Press and hold the Active Ability button for 0,3 seconds while standing beside a dropped Pallet to reset it to its upright position.

Reset the pallet faster than the killer is stunned!

Machine Learning: Performing the Damage Generator Action on a Generator activates Machine Learning. While Machine Learning is active, the next Generator you damage becomes compromised, highlighting its Aura to you in yellow, until it is completed.

Upon its completion, you are granted the following effects until the next generator is completed:

    Undetectable Status Effect

    +10% Haste Status Effect

I wouldn't even consider that a broken idea. It would give it more utility aside from "HA, YOUR LIGHTS MEAN NOTHING!" Would incentivise survivors to not stick around stuff they already completed.

Permanent wall hacks are generally considered pretty broken.

  • Residual Manifest: After a successful Killer Blind, the Killer suffers from the Blindness Status Effect permanently.

  • Quick Gambit's repair speed bonus has been increased to 100%, and Grim Embrace now blocks all generators for 5 minutes upon activation.

  • Boon:shadow step:removes all scratch marks, pools of blood, loud notification sounds, generator completion notification. While inside of the boons radius, includes anything in the radius as well

  • Killer: Unrelenting

Missed hits now have zero cooldown.

    Survivor: Sabotage

Once a hook is sabotaged, any hook within a 32m radius also becomes sabotaged.

  • Killer, Beast of prey, Now you never have a red stain but still gain undetectable after reaching Bloodlust tier 1.

Survivor, Inner Healing, You gain the perk on blessing totems too.

  • Hex: Thrill of the hunt- Just straight up makes hexes uncleansable just like 5 stacks of pentamento

Pop goes the weasel- Affected Gens are snapped in half

Monstrous Shrine- increases hook progression so much, they die before you can leave basement

  • Boon: Dark Theory-gain 3.5% haste when in the boons radius. Vault speed is increased by 6%. When leaving the boons radius gain 7% haste for 2/3/4 seconds.

I know you're probably gonna say "But that's a hex." though I do want to mention undying gives that effect onto dull totems. People don't run it for that, though. They run it so their other hexes have a second chance.

  • Some of you guys are just straight up evil! XD

    Nemesis walking towards you like

  • Territorial Imperitive: You can see the auras of ALL Survivors while ANY Survivor is in basement. Includes on hook.

Hex:Ruin: Always spawns a letgo failed skillcheck.

Poised: After anyone completes a generator, no Survivor leaves Scratch Marks within 32m of the completed gen, if you helped pop it, their auras are hidden within the range as well.

Corrective Action: Converts allied good skill checks to Greats as long as tokens remain, tokens are only lost when an ally fails a skill check.

Hoarder: Survivors opening chests, picking up items, and dropping items are injured upon completing the action. If the Survivor was already injured, they enter Deep Wound, if they were Deep Wounded they enter the dying state. This includes limited Killer items.

Predator: Scratch marks are highlighted visible across the map and through walls, and Survivors that are running have their auras revealed within 32m.

No Mither: If you stun the Killer 3 times you kill them. You won the match, good job.

Quick Gambit: Distance limit removed, you gain 2% haste per Survivor that doesn't have this perk that is on a gen.

Like I said, permanent wall hacks are generally considered broken.

This would be like if Wiretap never went away.

  • Diversion (I love the perk, but it is objectively bad) - The Pebble is now replaced with a Hand Grenade. The grenade has a 5/4/3 second fuse that activates once it is thrown. If it explodes close enough to the Killer, in addition to stunning them, it has a 30/50/100% chance to blow their limbs off. The Grenade will leave behind a Loud Noise Notification as normal once it detonates. It can also be used to destroy breakable walls!

  • PWYF no longer loses tokens

  • Hex the third Seal: Now activates 60 seconds after the start of the match instead on hit, because it benefits some Killers way more than others.

Machine Learning: Can now be applied to multiple gens then resets like Eruption, its currently to much of a gamble.

Hex Ruin should be unnerfed, it was a healthier gen regression perk than most. Just remember what came after...

Game Afoot now works regardless of chase time.

Grim Embrace works for 60 seconds and reveals all survivors.

Oppression and Thrilling Tremors have their cooldown reduced to 40 seconds.

I'm all Ears now has its cooldown reduced to 20 seconds.

Predator replaces scratch marks with foot prints and increases footstep volume to make it easier to hear.

Remember me now works on first hook like No Way Out and regresses gate progress after a few seconds, removed obsession mechanic.

Whispers now get the whispers removed and replaced with a hud element, i always found the whispering to be annoying.

Make crows more evenly distributed as a buff for Spies for the Shadows, the function is actually good but its map dependant.
