  • spirit | Game Afoot, rancor, No way out, Spies from the shadow or info perk of choice.

It is a lot of fun and I use the green and yellow recovery add-ons. Also, it helps when I have a really bad game <I don't tunnel often so two to 3 people are usually left alive> or get a sweat stack with map offerings.

    Can you imagine that, friends?

We wake up tomorrow and BHVR has announced a full return to the Old DBD. I'd have no words to describe just how happy I would be.

Monkeys paw | You get old DBD back but its 1 week after Freddy's release.

  • Best choice would be max chest spawns with the locations heavily weighted towards killer powers. So ten to thirteen chests in a trial but killer like sadako and Alien have priority towards gens for their powers. And then make it so that killers power are almost always in the best areas or main area where the chest used to spawn.

  • The problem is quite simple. Chase perks on the killer side have gotten nerfed consistently <STBFL> with some never even making it into the game before getting nerfed <coup de grace>. Hook timers got extended literally one hundred and forty seconds <two unique hooks>, vs two hundred and forty <slugging>. Hook perks also continue to get nerfed, <pop, pain resonance, BBQ bp removed>

Sure hooking seems good, till you realize that if you slug only a handful of perks <rarely picked> counter it as a strategy <Unbreakable, exponential, soul guard, wglf, Botany or healing perks>. Whereas hooking can be countered easily basekit <Flashlight save, pallet save, Toolbox> and is punished if survivors have perks to punish it <power struggle, saboteur, Decisive strike, OTR, BT, Babysitter, Guardian, Breakout, Deliverance, wicked, etc.>

All you need to see is how much hooking is punished, sure it can help you tunnel, but if the end result is a death, either way why would you risk it. Also, why the punishment for poor survivor gameplay <basekit unbreakable>, you can always force the killer to pick you up by going into a locker. Survivors can also choose where to die.

Tldr Hooking is significantly more risky than slugging, but survivors can always pick where they can be slugged, even taking just exponential would allow a survivor team to comeback or going into a locker would force them to pick you up. Still, I would be in favor of a faster bleed out that would allow players slugged for fifty seconds to bleedout faster.

  • Its to justify putting in new Mori cosmetics most likely.

  • I just want a female skin for the Dark Lord

    Or Dead space Necromorphs chapter

  • @Nazzzak said:

If by ratted out you mean they take the killer to you, that's actually reportable as it's considered working with the killer. Support just needs to actually do something about it because from my experience they just let it slide. If there are actual consequences, even just a warning, then alot of people will stop doing it.

Support does ban survivor players who do it repeatedly if multiple other survivors report the person over a large amount of games. It just sucks that multiple games have to be ruined by the teaming survivor. <For killer it is literally almost impossible to punish teaming because they could have just lost the survivor, or doing an archive, or challenge etc.> Much easier to notice teaming survivors.

  • Yeah, there seems to be a new cheat going around.

  • Yeah I was going to buy the dark lord if it had a female skin but they did not. Still a good character just not for me.

  • Oh wow, a perk that nullifies any skill expression a good survivor can have while looping with no tells or warnings. I cannot wait to see what will happen to STBFL I mean Coup de Grace.

It happens, every single time, to every chase perk. Even on survivor side.

  • If you are not cheating or breaking the rules<mostly endgame chat or exploiting on purpose>, you will be fine even if falsely reported.

I mean if you are reliant on the Soma speedboost then that means you fundamentally don't understand the utility of his power. He gets (nearly) a 4x (max stack) Fire Up. That makes all corner pallets a free hit (and since about 30-40% of pallets now are corner pallets, that's a lot of free hits). Secondly you can punish instadrops by soaking the power for a free Spirit Fury.

Basically Singularity is a macro Killer, and you win by slowing gens by forcing EMP pickups, and whittling down the map resources long before normal. Not only that, Singularity can teleport crossmap with little investment. Not only that, but with add-ons like Scream on un-slipstream, you can keep track of where everyone is, knowing where people will approach from, and being able to intercept them. Even if you run no add-ons, the Survivors are caught in a lose lose with EMP usage. If they follow the chase, you can retag in 2s, and it took them far longer than 8s to grab an EMP and run over. If they use EMPs to prevent macro/crossmap tags+TPs, then you are overwhelming in chase. The real counter to Singularity is having one person always printing EMPs (assuming the Singularity has a modicum of skill), but even then that takes up so much gen time that a powerless M1 Killer can still win if it is effectively a 3v1 the entire game.

Everyone who wants skill expression should praise Singularity, because you truly utilize skill instead of just bruteforcing hits with near double speed (Nurse Blinks, Spirit Phasing, Blight Rushes, Wesker Dashes, Billy Saws, Oni Dash, etc.).

Tldr, Basekit singularity sucks, you do need soma to get hits because good survivors will just hold checkspots. Singularity cannot dash towards you or hit you from afar they have to walk to hit you.

Better survivors run to windows not to pallets, and if you hold proper checkspots base singularity should never get the hit in power unless, key word here, UNLESS survivors make a mistake. You literally cannot get a hit in power if they hold w your boost will run out before a hit. You can see this. Without soma you will not get a hit unless a survivor makes a mistake, if you got a hit in power then that survivor made a mistake. Actually play the killer and you will see how awful he is. Soma is literally needed to get hit otherwise the survivor can vault or rerun the loop etc.

Basekit, your Macro means nothing if every hit takes 5 to ten seconds for first goop, Emped for 5 seconds, another ten seconds for second goop, then a tp <basekit so survivor needs to make a mistake> so eight seconds for a pallet or hit, repeat till down etc. it adds up to forty or fifty seconds chases but better survivors will ruin it for you. Sure they wont play perfect but you wont either so the outcome is they same.

  • Do not play base singularity, you need soma family photo if you even want to play a game and get a hit. BTW without photo your power runs out before you can hit with singularity every single time unless the survivor makes a mistake. If the survivor holds W you will not be able to get a hit in your power.

  • Change killer adept to just one kill

Or Remove all map offerings\make sacrificial ward a brown offering and spawn in almost every web

I dont get why its always the killers ruining events plenty of games i've had like 3 BNPS with gens flying in 5 cobbler games while survivors wait at EGC every event its always the killers just look at this how come this is ok? And please don't go "oh you were playing spirit so your argument is invalid blah blah blah"

I tried getting killer matches and was waiting 10 minutes or more. I guess it depends on the area or something.

My killer queues are near instant or less then a minute, but it might just be region things.

  • There are pallets and flashlights <chest search> basekit. There is also head on but that is a perk.

  • @Yharwick said:

I mean I know a lot of Xeno mains that would disagree with you. Personally I do prefer the star map but e helmet is still very good compared to most of Xeno's add-ons most of which are either gimmicky or straight up bad.

For reference E Helmet, Map, Cereal and Headset I think are the only good ones. I know some people like bolt but I think that's a gimmick and you should be using tail over windows rather than vaulting and egg is unnecessary when you can get your power back in like 4 seconds in the tunnels.

The Bolt is good for shack and Good windows. And can force survivors into a bad area.

And for being a brown Ovo is great for continuing chase when you get double turreted.

  • Camera is bugged but you can still do everything else.

  • TLDR SWFS are like Nurse, you have to hope their bad but. Either way you likely wont have fun in that match.

SWF are the reason solos cannot have nice things. SWF is like on omega blink Nurse, both were steadily nerfed and are the reason why we cannot have any semblance of balance. Because, they both abuse anything and everything.

Sure, the majority of players might be your average joe, but everyone knows that going against nurse you just accept you are probably not going to win or have fun. The exact same can be applied to SWFs, just as you can have memey Walking Nurses and comp Nurses the same is true for SWFS. You have to hope that maybe the SWF<Nurse> is bad or memeing just to find out they<SWF\Nurse> brought a map offering, and the best addons, items, and etc. Both will eventually kill the game for regular and\or solo players.

Everyone has a story of the nurse who four slugged and bled everyone out. Everyone has a story of the fourman SWF who saboed and boiiled over, or headon stunned and flash saved over and over. Both sides will give excuses that the other side still could play and it is fun until they experience it and ask for nerfs.

Ultimately, without SWFS the game would have dies. Ultimately, without Nurse the game would of died<Old Infinites and more which were killing the games player base at the time>. Because despite what people say, winning is fun and SWFS and Nurse allow you to win much more. And no one likes to lose EVERY SINGLE GAME.

  • TLDR | Basekit survivor hook stuff is good enough and provides counterplay for both sides. To enhance this you can bring perks to better help you to alter this in your favor. Also your suggested changes will not stop tunneling even if it is harder, and in some cases will not have any change at all.

These are flawed suggestions, to get rid of tunneling <or camping> we need to alter hooking to be like how torment or pyramid heads cages work. But that would remove pallet saves, sabo plays, and make being downed a guaranteed hook stage or kill. All this work, just for the outcome to be the same, inescapable death.

There is no perfect fix but what we have basekit is great at discouraging and at least allows the survivor to try. There are even perks which enhance this ability.

However, punishing players will not lead to a change in behavior. If bubba wants to camp, Bubba will camp. Nurse will not be affected by the movement speed penalty and will tunnel just fine. Huntress, can still hit with hatchets from afar or camp your hook and never let you leave it. This leads the to a better way to change things like with unique hook perks.

Clearly, Grim Embrace, pain Res, and No Way Out are perks which promote healthier gameplay and are a step in a better direction.

  • The Anti face camp is disabled at endgame or when the exit gates are powered.

  • This would kill the game for a lot of people. No more fun meme builds because you WILL be insulted by other players. We saw this with reassurance and some mean SWFs never letting people go bye on hook, we see this currently with low prestige survivors getting dodged by other survivors in the lobby, and I know that if you or another player runs No Mither almost every other player gives up. Also, not all Survivors are meta lovers but you only need one of the four to DC at the screen, or go next on hook for the game to be ruined.

Unfortunately, the bad of a few ruins what could be good, but would ultimately just lead to lobby dodging low leveled or no perk players, and more people going next at spawn because a meghead has yellow and green perks or certain perks etc.

If the only benefit is something knowing Jane has Solidarity or Adam has Autodidact is not worth being unable to play a game because you do not have the latest meta perk.

TLDR This system will do more harm then good and will give mean players more ammo to justify there bad behavior <Lobby dodging, DCing, Giving up on hook, etc.>

  • Yes, I would love more cute designs for huntress!

  • Its looks like his pallet kick animation just altered to stomp on floor <Double stomp>

No, it's not. both perks are of poorly design and are not healthy for the game regardless of which one is more effective or not.

A perk that completely prevents survivors from progressing their game is bad design. GE blocks all generators and old eruption applied the incapacitated status. GE could block the generator for 1s which would make it horrible, but still a bad design.

Grim Embrace does Nothing if you tunnel, Grim Embrace does nothing if you camp. In order to get value you must chase, down, and then hook unique<Different> survivors to have this effect. At its core it is a really healthy perk that encourages going for multiple different survivors and rewards doing so. The problem comes when its stacked with other gen regression perks but on that is a different topic.

All in all, Grim Embrace is fine and even though it is annoying to be interrupted at least you can heal and do totems. Moreover, since it needs unique hooks to be activated, tunneling has less impact and camping stops the perk from activating.

  • Just needs soma family photo basekit and some leeway with targeting survivors on biopods.

People say that 3% was so overwhelming but hello, Boon: Dark Theory is a thing and in some ways better than MfT was (no risk as it doesn’t require injury for the haste boost). Why don’t I see killers complaining about it?

It may not seem like much but 1 inc...percent makes all the difference <4.08 2% or 4.12 3%>. Also, its not just movement speed it survivors basekit vaulting and it being mixed with resilience that leads to MFT being so bad and creating literal infinites<all 110% Killers literally cannot catch MFT users and some 115% cant if the survivor shift techs>.

  • These perks are not useless. Although not meta they lead to gameplay that some may like or enjoy and do change normal gameplay flow. Also, teamwork perks are bad because of the one that boosts movement speed by 5% if that perk was changed they coud probably buff Teamwork perks significantly. Keep in mind these things provide alternatives to the common gameplay loop in contrast to more direct aid perks <Inner healing is an alternative to selfcare, Boon Shadowstep is an alternative to distortion, Invocation Weaving Spiders is an alternative to Direct Gen Contribution, etc.>

All in all, the perks are good its just that they are not Meta Good <provide consistent value and is easy to see or feel the value> but they do fill a niche that helps spice up gameplay.

  • Helpful tip in this game just try to make your goal as killer to kill one survivor or achieve 3 hook states. Currently, this is my goal and all I ever aim for anymore.

For the one kill, try perks like rancor or end game perks.

For 3 or 4 hook states, try perks like grim embrace, pop, pain res, dead lock, Corrupt intervention.

Or try for a unique killer thing, like 2 hits with Weskers dash or 1 hit with pigs ambush attack etc.

If the game is still upsetting you take a break it really helps.

  • My matches have mostly been good. Unfortunately, some teams have brought map offerings a lot recently so I went ham on them. But a lot of others brought bp offerings so I just eight hooked and let them go. Its nice to see some people being good even if there are some bad actors. <I have had five games where map was brought I 3 or 4ked those cause I hate maps offerings. and around ten to fifteen games where bp offerings were used and or no offerings were used so I chilled and let people go>

  • @TatsuiChiyo said:

Lightborn of course. You can also try to position yourself staring at a wall.

If its Background Player causing issues, Singularity has I believe Genetic Limits is the one that causes exhaustion whrn you pick up a Survivor so it hard counters BP. Someone else mentioned Infectious Fright so you at least know if someone is close, also Awakened Awareness from Wesker lets you see if anyone is trying to hide for a surprise Flashbang blind

Genetic Limits only exhausts on Successful Healing not on pick ups. Currently the only perk that affects pick ups if Fire Up but that needs gens done to affect pick ups.

  • They should just buff her ambush charge speed and then the roar would not matter. Currently, the roar hurts you because it takes so long for ambush to actually start. This is best seen with the addon Workshop Grease. that addon should be basekit and changed because the difference with that add on is night and day. For reference, it take .75 seconds to charge ambush normally <During this time pig has almost no movement speed and has her roar play at the start of charging and a jumpscare stinger plays too>. With the addon, the charge time is around .4 seconds and is much harder to react and dodge too.

  • In Deathslingers lore he actually had that problem with his gun being too good at harpooning through targets. Eventually, after lots of trial and error he found a way to have the gun be effective but not fatal like it used to be. Additionally, the gun and parts related to it are his personal creations so they could work. But likely it is just the entity doing its magic to have people suffer and not die.

TLDR lorewise Deathslinger tinkered with his stuff to make it not kill people. Or its the entity making more people suffer.

  • Her perks are just kinda bad, which leads to less purchases. She has few cosmetics <Mostly very bright or complicated instead of simple ones>, and her voice <which is personal preference but it depends>.

Laurie has great perks and great backstory or lore with Mikey.

Hadie has great lore, useful fun perks <if you like flashlights>, and ok cosmetics.

Basically, its the perks and cosmetics for Elodie that get in the way.

A lot of Knight loving on these pages tonight. I thought he was hated? Or is that just survivors who don't like him?

Mostly survivors, from their point of view its two killer chasing you and you have limited ways to win a chase against a bad knight. Good knights will always get hits because they defend banner and zone you to a spot where you will get hit, leading to death.

  • That is his stealth breathing noise every killer except Wesker and pinhead have that.

  • Yea, Lightborn I would say to look away or check the area but odds are good swfs will make you pick up in the open.

I don't remember the last time of being denied grabs. This was more of the issue for me before the servers came.

And I play stealth killers often when I play killer.

Easy way to tell is the game will hitch or freeze then register a m1 instead. It still happens but is rarer. Also, If you do get stealth grabs i am sure you have had grabs be cancelled into M1.

  • It might get its own option and I pray it stays.

That filter looks so cool, do you always use it when playing Xeno

  • It is good for corner jumpscares where you wait for survivors to run into you. This is really fun if you think like a ghostface it is fun and funny. The amount of people who walk after I hit them or just freeze is hilarious.

  • Survivor perk Healers tools

Grants the ability to heal at one hundred percent speed for twenty seconds. Cause twenty seconds of exhaustion and only works on altruistic or teammate heals.

    Healers kit <Limited item>

After repairing a full generator head to any nearby chest and press active ability button two to salvage a limited medkit with 32 charges. It functions the exact same as a medkit but can be made in chest.

Corrupt is only usable at most 3 times per match unless the survivors give you pools AND you lose it after being palleted stunned.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3538878#Comment_3538878

I clearly reaction punish a fast vault in a video, which is 0.5 second, half way through the vault animation. So im not sure what to tell you man. I will note that you can't reaction punish with tail at max tail range. You need to be like 70% of the range to do it

plagues power might not down but it will ALWAYS injure <Basically a free health state or m1>. She will never lose the ability to vomit, only for her vomit to down. It is not comparable.

  • None of those killers can literally lose the ability to special attack. Xeno can that is why it is stronger. If Xeno did not lose its ability a more reactable or indicator would be deserved but as long as it can lose its ability, its tail attack needs to be strong to warrant using turrets as its counter.

And plague does not count because her puke will always injure just never down if it is not red.

i don't think bleeding people out is any better than just letting them go if you want to lower your mmr since i'd assume survivors escaping would lower it and bleeding would, neutralize it? bleeding people barely gives any bloodpoints anyway. idk about emblems but i doubt it does anything there either. if it does increase your mmr why would you not just hook and get your points? no point either way.

If slug to death equals no gain or loss ofMMR.

A 4k is a 4k, If they bleed out, get hooked, or get mori they still die and you win. For some kills are all that matter. If you tell them they can get easier or the same games just by wasting four minutes, many would waste time to avoid harder matches.
