Well, she used to be very good at holding 3-gen, in 3 gen meta…
Then first rework created situation where she required very little effort to play, but was quite difficult to understand for survivors.
She was easily beatable at that point, but she was definetly good noob stomper. But because she was so easy and survivors got used to giving up from her 3-gen era, her kill rates were very high and survivors complained, so devs nuked her…
Funny is survivors complained about playing her even after she got nuked. Even now, devs were not willing to just buff her, but had need to add some nerfs too.She had a 70% KR without hook suicides or DC's as SM 2.0

She is still incredibly unfun to play against.
Unfun doesn't necessarily equal too strong. Bad design is bad design.

TCM was fun until Gun decided to look for profit elsewhere.

Haven't felt the soul of the game in a long time.
It does often feel like DBD just funds BHVR's other interests. Whether that be flops like Meet Your Maker or Deathgarden; or The Casting of Frank Stone, which didn't really sell all that well. Sometimes feels like they'd rather be a publisher and that DBD is just the money machine funding that ambition.

BHVR is a multi-million-dollar company with approximately one successful game. They got lucky once.
Halloween leaving is terrible for optics, and for players.

I caught the previous ones that were posted around the time the 9.2.0 PTB got revealed, and this one was fairly "mild" in comparison. But yes, these kinds of posts are clearly made by twisted individuals.
Needless to say, I flagged all of those posts. And yes, they are pretty stomach-churning to look at. Glad I scrolled past it fast, but I still had to stare down that image when I flagged the post. Image previews needs to be turned off when flagging posts.
If it's the one I'm thinking of, take solace in the knowledge that it wasn't a real gif.

I had to wonder that when I had my interaction with customer support this morning trying to report a hacker. In a nutshell, the interaction went something like this...
BHVR: I am sorry to hear that you encountered someone you believe is exploiting the game.
Have you reported this player in-game?
Me: Yes, I have reported the player in-game. I did so the last time I encountered them as well.
BHVR: There was some misunderstanding on our end, could you clarify if you reported the player in-game?
I just had to face-palm here. I clearly said that I had reported the player in-game. What was there to misunderstand?
(I hope I don't have to provide actual screencaps...)
You certainly don't have to post screenshots. It definitely sounds a little sus to me. We know BHVR is looking into hiring AI experts.

OP was being either disingenious for the sake of outrage or intentionally omitting context just for easy and blatant karma farming.

I was saying that because players play differently depending on the region, adjusting the game to North American standards would cause problems for players on Asian servers. But you were the one who brought up the issue of low skill level. Because the way players play differs depending on the region, the intention of the discussion was to ask for adjustments to be made so that both sides can enjoy the game. You continue to argue that "they can't adapt because they're not good at it." Do you understand?
Notably, I did not specify what region in my first comment.
Skill issues are skill issues.
You would have to be unbelievably bad (or new) to think this update made the game more Survivor-sided. There are less pallets, stronger Killers, and worse loops.

It's you who's trying to belittle and demean the other player. You were the one who first claimed that players on Asian servers are worse. I'm just saying what you're saying. You're free to preach North American supremacy, but I don't like the way you make it sound like the other player is racist.
"Survivors on Asian servers prioritize repairing generators above all else. They don’t waste time shining flashlights at the killer or doing other things. In any case, they work on repairing generators at the maximum efficiency."
"Please stop speaking as if the North American server, where generators aren't prioritized and people constantly go off on detours, is the standard."
"this would mean that survivors in North America are ten times worse than those in Asia."
"my opinion, the low escape rate in the current environment is due to the low level of training of survivors on the North American server, or to the fact that they are constantly taking detours and not taking the shortest route to escape. It's laughable that they're constantly yelling "I can't escape!" after making the effort to show themselves to the killer and making pointless contact."
This is what you said. I'm simply proposing a more likely theory.

Hopefully just something actually horror or horror-inspired.

I have a lot to say about your unfair insistence that Asian server killers are just bad, but I can see that you're not very good with numbers. 6% of the total player population is not a small number. Survivors on North American servers are 6% less likely to survive than survivors on Asian servers.
I don't know if this 6% difference is due to the lack of skill of the survivors on the North American servers, but I also don't know if it's due to the lack of skill of the killers on the Asian servers. You're assuming one side is at fault, so you're not in a position to debate, and should go to another forum.
Haha.
I figured you'd push back on that and insist that 6% is a huge difference.
You've been acting like all players on Asian Servers are just so much better than everyone on NA, and that NA Survivors are so inefficient and whiny. But when it comes down to it, there's a paltry six percent difference between the two AT MOST.
If you brought over an Asian Survivor and had them play on NA, they'd get eaten alive. Self-Care is a throw perk, and the only reason it's encouraged on Asian servers is because of the weird community rules and how inefficient the Killers are.

I feel there is truth that its situational, times you can't contest a gen/find another survivor coz you are at risk of running into the killer, self-care to get a heal started can be really useful. In those situations it can be efficient, but at the same time so is a medkit and might as well combo self-care with botany as you can heal others faster too.
Though lets be real, no one is using it like that with macro gameplay in mind lol. Also some killers healing is just a waste of time anyways, so I wonder why those never get played over there if its such a huge issue.
Sometimes it feels like no one is adapting.Yeah, a medkit is just better SC. But they dont like medkits.
Every situation where SC could get you value, a medkit would get you 3x the value.

That's not evidence, and it's not an answer. What is your basis for claiming that killers on Asian servers are to blame? If your theory is that escape rates are lower on North American servers, then that also means that "survivors on North American servers are worse." If you're going to disparage someone, please provide valid evidence. Or are you just not good at working with numbers?
Ironic, since some of you all are saying that NA Survivors must simply be bad because they escape less.
Self-Care is an inefficient perk. If a player is using it, and managing to get value from it, the Killer is not playing the game in an efficient manner. Taking nearly a full minute to heal should be time enough for the Killer to simply win. Instead, we see the opposite on the Asian servers.
Ergo, their Killers are inefficient and not up to standards. The Survivors could very well be better, but their Killers certainly seem to be worse, on average.
As an aside, theres not much difference in escape rates either. 6% at most, that's not a lot.

- When a Survivor dies to a hook action or Mori before 6 total hook states, the remaining Survivors gain a 25% repair speed bonus.
- When a Survivor that was previously hooked is Killed or Sacrificed, the Killer loses the ability to block, damage, or regress generators by any means.
What are you even talking about right now?

so your telling me the game itself as in the actual mechanics itself blocked you from doing anything and instantly killed you . your saying twins was an instant win button . if i was to find the kill rates from that time .. twins kill rates would be 100% right ?
I mean, you can't find KR's from the PTB. Which is funny, because that means you also couldn't find any KR's from the PTB you claim made the game unwinnable (it didn't). It had huge potential to make the game better for everyone, but people lost their minds and got whipped up by some biased content creators, imo. Now, we get more tunneling, more miserable players and nothing to show for it.
Yeah, I mean, you'd get chased by Victor and just die, then the rest of your team would follow quickly. There wasn't anything you could do about it.

Survivors in North America don’t even bring Self-Care, so their escape rate is really bad.
If there’s no teammate nearby, all they can do is repair gens and nothing else.
Then they get killed by undetectable killers.
Unless they realize this, Survivors will keep getting buffed.

The amount of time reflected in game is purely game time and doesn’t reflect gameplay before… 2020? If you think he doesn’t play killer, I invite you to post your own stats here and show us how many more hours you have on killer… you might be surprised at how low the numbers are.
For reference, here’s how my 5100 hours shakes out on the stats (I play a lot of customs, but still):

Also as someone who demonstrably plays both sides, they are right, you can bait head on easily with game sense for a hit.
I think I've got about 4200 on Xbox, so probably about 5K total.

But basic Killer gameplay is transferable amongst all Killers.
That's just not true. Forget nurse. At the most basic level, you cannot play spirit or hag the same way you can play trapper in a loop. At higher levesl, you should not expect to win by playing at a basic level without detailed knowledge about your killer. Blight for instance. You can play blight as a m1 killer only using power for distance but you shouldn't expect to win if you can't outplay with the power at loops. If you do that means the game was likely unevenly matched.
And about your other point, even if every knowledge doesnt transfer, a significant part of it still does. The counterplay to trickster and slinger is not the exact same but it's similar with pretty much every ranged killer. Break los, make W distance, predrop safe pallets. Dont get caught in a deadzone.
Dashslop killers are similar. Stealth killers are similar. For a more specific example, Wolf pounce is similar to wesker's or demogorgon's dash and the fires are similar to phead's shockwave. Bat form lullaby is basically sadako. Teleports from springtrap, xenomorph, or sadako's tvs.
There are some very unique killers that require you to learn something new or very different, such as the twins, hag, knight, unknown, nurse, sadako's condemned, but some of them aren't even difficult to execute just requires knowledge, and some parts are still just core dbd looping gameplay.
Just the fact that as a survivor you have 3 other teammates to depend on makes it more casual than killer already. I also think this is why independent sports are seemingly less popular than team sports. Soccer is a lot more popular worldwide than wrestling.
You can play every Killer, barring Nurse, as an M1. You can ALWAYS fall back on it. Will you win a lot? Probably not, but its a backup for helping you while you learn.
IDK why you don't just admit that Survivor has a lot of stuff they are required to learn. Plus, they can't even control when or how they learn it.

it is just a knowledge check in the end and many killers share similarities. Think of it like this. Deathslinger counterplay is breaking los and putting an object between. This is far easier to do than actually playing and aiming with deathslinger.
And dont undersell the knowledge killer equires of survivor perks. May not be as much but it’s there for sure.
what you said about ghoul applies to most killers and i agree with that anyway.
survivor is definitely the more casual role in this game. Much downtime just holding m1 or waiting. But basic Killer gameplay is transferable amongst all Killers.
Counterplay against Deathslinger and Trickster is very different, for example. That knowledge doesn't transfer.

- alter the conditions or rules of a procedure during its course.
I did not do this as you can see. I asked if you played killer. You showed me you did. Then I was wondering for how long you played killer. (Same topic still if you didn't know) I say 400 hours is not a lot (It isn't) I never said you don't play killer after you sent the pictures because you clearly do. I then asked to see your survivor stats. (Still not moving any goalposts)
Simply put though 4-500 over 6 years (2020-2026) is literally nothing. But perfectly explains some of your takes.

I cant agree that surv is more difficult
The core gameplay of surv is mechanically easier than many killers and game sense is also pretty simple. Do gens if killer is chasing, hide when needed, do not chase near other survivors. It does become more dynamic and complex when both teams are tryharding but generally it’s pretty simple.
Whereas killer has to learn the ins and outs of his power, which can be vey hard. I mean i think the biggest proof of this is that survivor on controller and m/kb is relatively same if you’re experienced, but some killers on controller are insanely hard.
Also macro for killer is harder too because you have to know when to do what on top of knowing where survivors could be because you dont have voice chat.
If you meant harder as in it is harder to win, then i would agree with that.
It is harder to win, but dumbing skill down to simply mechanical skill isn't a good argument either.
As a Killer, you can pick someone like Ghoul and win 90% of your matches if you get good enough. You never have to learn anything else, just Ghoul.
As Survivor, you have to learn EVERY Killer. Is Survivor as mechanically intensive as some Killers? No. It requires a LOT more knowledge, however.
