Yeah, now that you mention it, I've had at least one Prove Thyself in my games lately.
Kinda weird.

Right, you use to be Toxic, when you were inexperienced, just like this Killer. His topic title was like ‘The Still Unexperienced Killer’, so he needs to go through the baptism of toxicity to grow as a Killer.
I think it’s a very natural and important stage of a Killer.
After riding the circle jerk of pain, he’ll mature and become more focused and disciplined. I believe that one day, you will face a clicking clickity click and you will simply turn your back on him and murder all others, shaming him and his inability to antagonize and distract you.
Then return once more and create another Topic. Name it: The Now Experienced Killer.
Nah, I was never toxic on this game.
I was a teenager and very angry at the world and I played OW and Siege very competitively. It came to a head when one of my friends yelled at me for being such an entitled and toxic ######### and I realized how bad I was getting.

To be fair. Its still a game. I dont play because i want four deaths. I play because i want to have fun and that implies for me that i want to have a challenge. I dont mind people getting away or outsmarting me.
But i do mind comment and ingame behaviour. Do you see competitive sports games like football where the teams insult, mock or what not the other team just because the ######### up? No you dont.
Like a player who shot a goal run to the goalkeeper and tell him how mush of a noob and looser he is.
Yet that behaviour is completly allowed in this game.
So why should i play nice while i get insulted like that.
Yes i will play nice if the other side does so but otherwise....no...i dont want to.
It is your choice.
I used to be very toxic, but I learned how to better myself and while I am ashamed of who I used to be, I am proud of how far I have come. Sometimes, people just need a little positivity in order to change :)

I’d love to hear them!
He is mid tier but tiers don’t really have a direct correlation with strength. Myers is one of the most played and he’s garbage imo
Guess most people play him because the want to be the demogorgon
I'd want to be the demogorgon too.
Here are my ideas:
He will exist in a similar state as new Freddy, where he is in the Upside-Down, but can still attack and interact normally.
Allow Demo to pull Survivors into the Upside-Down. This gives them a big debuff. Survivors can return (or enter) using Demo's Portals, a randomly spawned Portal or by being pulled out via another Survivor (only pulled out, you cannot enter this way). Survivors in the Upside-Down will see other Survivors fading in and out, like Freddy does at a range.
Allow Demo to pull a single generator into the Upside-Down with him. This will force Survivors to play on his turf at least a little bit.
Allow Demo's Portals to expand and corrupt the environment with the Upside-Down. This gives an incentive to cleanse them and it makes it so that they are soft area denial and big info gatherers.
Fix Shred's FPS on Console.
Remove all of global sounds.
Remove his loud stomping when coming out of the Portal.

Thank you. I will grind pop the weasel to get more pressure. Also i dont want to play toxic but literly ever second or thirg game.....insult, mocking, teabagging, flashlight clicking and what not...
I literly dont care anymore. The surivors use any means possible to win a game why shouldnt i.
The mark of a good Killer player is when you encounter toxicity and insults, you rise above them and simply adapt and overcome, instead of falling into a rage-induced haze.

What’s boring about him? Shredding is very fun at tiles and portals give him tracking and mobility
Only killer who needs a full rework is nurse
He's a jack of all trades, master of none.
If you want ranged attacks, why play Demo when you can use Huntress, Deathslinger or Freddy?
You want stealth, why play Demo over Myers, GhostFace, Wraith or Pig?
You want map traversal? Why play Demo over Nurse, Billy, Oni or Blight?
You want anti-loop? Why play Demo over Deathslinger, Clown, Nurse or Spirit?
Say what you will about his strength, but the play rates cannot lie, he's unpopular. He's painfully mid-tier (imo) and has nothing unique or special about him.
I've got some ideas for him, if you'd care to hear, if not I totally understand but I love Demo and I want him to be interesting.
-
They should not remove the lights. It should be nigh impossible to escape.
You have already failed to do all the gens AND have failed to find hatch, ergo, this is your third chance and subsequently, your least likely to succeed.
Hold the door for about 5 seconds, this will take the progress bar up to when the light will turn on if you touch it again. It saves you some time and the lights don't turn on, meaning you have free progress on the door.
-
He's boring. He's a mid-tier Killer with a boring power and because of that, nobody really plays him.
He could've been so interesting too. I hope he gets a complete rework like Freddy did.
-
Can't say I agree with fighting toxicity with toxicity, but if you want a build I can provide.
Stridor, Corrupt Intervention, Pop Goes the Weasel and Barbeque and Chili.
Stridor: Allows you to locate Survivors better, vital since you said you are colorblind (hopefully the new colorblind options help you!)
Corrupt Intervention: As you said you were relatively inexperienced, Corrupt will give you some time at the start of the game to locate and down Survivors without them rushing through gens as fast.
PGTW: It's gen regression. Everytime you hook someone, you get to use it on a gen to reduce it by 25% of its current progress. It usually equates to about 20-ish seconds.
BBQ: Gives bonus BP for more perks/add-ons and shows you the aura's of Survivors outside of a certain range for 4 seconds upon hooking a Survivor.
Add-Ons: I'd use Mother-Daughter Ring, it removes scratchmarks in phase, which you said you can't see anyway but it boosts your speed by a TON. I'd also recommend the Purple Amulet, as it increases your recharge time and duration, at the cost of speed, which is counteracted by the other add-on.
Try not to play toxic, but that's the best build I've run on Spirit.

No because even half decent headsets are cheap af. They do it to ensure they have an advantage.
Nah, I run Stridor cuz I use $5 earbuds since normal headsets hurt my head!

So long as they die on hook, yes it counts as a sacrifice.
Really can't recommend facecamping as a strat tho.

Doubtful. It is not as prevalent in other games. I have played a lot of different games. This is not an issue with most well flushed out games. This game plays like an Alpha, yet its been out for years. Nothing more to say. The desync should not be this bad or this consistent. Killer is super easy mode right now because of how bad the desync is. Lots of people are complaining in videos about this problem. It's never been this bad. So stop trying to justify it. Good for you to study programming. Looks like you have quite a bit to learn still then, because this isn't a huge issue in most games. Let me know when you find a fix for the game. Congrats on a conversation going no where.
I'm trying to help you understand where I'm coming from and what I am seeing. It truly feels as if you do not read anything I say, you merely skim it and decide whether or not I was agreeing with you.
I, too, have played MANY different games. In fact, I've played so many games that I'll send some links to posts talking about near the same issue.

These are all threads on lag or desync in different popular games. This is just from me skimming Google. I have only included COD, Overwatch, Siege and Fortnite, as they are all fairly popular and have both casual and competitive scenes. I didn't want to say this, but I am almost positive your connection is poor. It describes all of the issues you are facing.
Many players have issues with some occasional lag or desync, but none so frequent or severe as what you have described. This leads me to believe that the issue is on your end, not on BHVR's. The only reason this conversation has gone nowhere is because of your inability to accept any idea other than your own. I have tried to be patient and understanding, whilst still explaining the issue, but it appears you simply want an echo chamber and for people to say "Yeah, you're right, we totally agree with you OP." I am not that person, nor will I ever be that person.
I have explained the best I can, despite being insulted and bashed for daring to present a different argument. I have done all I can, have a good day/night.
And thanks @Volfgang57

why do people keep saying there's a debate? there's no debate, everyone knows its strong and everyone knows its fine for survivors to do it.
Precisely.
I would figure there are bigger problems and issues to address tbh.
-
Okay, but what about Survivors hanging around near the hook?
What about the EndGame Collapse?
What if it's the best play for the Killer to camp said Survivor?
To address your considerations:
1.) Moving the Survivor would be ideal.
2.) The distance would need to be within 4 meters of the hook or so.
3.) Disabling the Killer's power is a very very very bad idea.
4.) The Survivors do not win until they are out of the Exit Gates.

Never be afraid to ask questions!
A lot of people here will be happy to help!
-
@Mrs_Underscore said:
I don't know what's broken about it? Genuine question.
I know when I play it as killer the looping is a nightmare and super hard to counter with the killers I prefer to play. Is that what's broken? The looping?
I almost always escape as a survivor. It's one of my favorite maps left since the reworks are insanely huge maps.
Yes. The extremely strong house windows, coupled with safe pallets, extremely long fences and the House of Pain make Haddonfield a nightmare.
-
That would be pretty crazy, but I think the most crazy version of Nurse is the no-blink Bamboozle Nurse. Truly, a terrifying idea.

As survivor: The vertical gameplay is fun, the buildings with ledges are fun, the gardens are maze like and its easy to make wrong turns. I like the street aesthetic and the games are ALWAYS entertaining clashes I find as 2 survivors do tend to make it out each time.
As Killer: I play trapper and he has some really good trap opportunities with the narrow walk ways and long grass. As GF I do struggle a bit tbf.
What Rank do you play at?
The map is great as Survivor. Pretty much every loop is safe, and the House of Pain is around, plus all the other houses.
As Killer, anyone except Trapper and Hag has a miserable time. Too much verticality, too many buildings, way too many safe pallets, long walls everywhere ect ect
It definitely needs a rework imo

So long as Matchbox doesn't become base-kit. I fear that day.
Sure would be a shame if Nurse had 3 blinks in her basekit. Might even be a bad design, not sure.
-
I don't care if they make BP easier to get.
I've got pretty much everything I want and I'm almost constantly at 1,000,000 BP.
It might help out newer players though.
-
Do not worry, they are going to remove her chain blink and instead make it her new Matchbox add-on.
Did I forget to mention they're gonna add more bugs?

Probably because they play a lot of survivor, or play killer at lower ranks. I mean Haddonfield against inexperienced survivors is pretty funny they don't know what they are doing and get stomped because it's a small map.
Anyone who knows how to run even half the loops on that map though and it's game set and match you have no chance in hell.
Maybe, I still think that's a valid reason though. I'd just like to hear the logic behind it.

The Desyc is making the hitbox issue a problem. Its all connected. Yeah there is lots to be done about it. How come other games dont have issues like this. Like we are in year 2021. There is lots that can be done. Do you see this issue with other games this bad? No... Maybe games in Alpha. This game functions like an Alpha yet its been released for quite a few years now. A fundamental problem like this shouldn't exist still. Either you are a casual player and you suck at the game and you are okay with that or you don't know very much about video game programming or video game functions in general. This is a major issue that requires fixing or this game will die and people will stop playing out of inevitable frustration. I am not the only one annoyed with this reoccurring issue.
I'm actually studying programming right now, so I do know quite a bit. I've also been at Rank 1 on both sides for 2 years now.
I do actually see this issue in other games. Most of the time, people call it lag and, despite that being a gross simplification, they are mostly correct. You hear about it all the time in games like COD, Battlefield, Overwatch and CS:GO. You can't eliminate it.
There is a certain speed limit that you reach when you are talking about sending data. The Dedicated Servers try to compensate for the difference in time between your connection --> the server <------ the Killer. Clearly, you didn't play the game before Dedicated Servers because it was MUCH worse.
Again, if you have any plans of going into engineering, feel free to design a new high speed cable that eliminates lag, the world will thank you. If not, please stop insulting people who offer a different point to your own, it hurts your argument.

Trust me, it isn't any fun to play them either.
You either play the slug/camp game or you lose against competent Survivors.
They aren't super well-designed, imo.
-
Slugging, camping and tunneling are NOT bannable.
You cannot report people for it.
The only person who broke a rule was you, via DC'ing.

It funny to see people lose their minds over an add-on.
The amount of threats on my life I've received while using it increases exponentially from when I do not.

No. Having TTV in your name is a form of promotion. But that's also not what this post is discussing.
I've only been streaming since October and I've built a pretty great community, and I don't use social media, so having TTV in your name genuinely, does help and is definitely beneficial.

2.) You get Bloody Cosmetics. That is it.

Probably not a good build but PGTW, Thana, Dying Light and Ruin.

The game is killer sided. You can tunnel and camp without being punished even though there are perks that encourage to go for someone else or not camp (make your choice, devour hope) killers still do it. If ur having a hard time maybe play spirit or hag? It takes more skill to be good at survivor than killer
What Rank do you play at?

One UB is fine, 4 is ridiculously strong.
Actually, that's the case with a lot of perks in the game.

Yes, I did say the combo of BBQ and Pop is overpowered. Because it is; that's the whole point of this post. I don't see your point?
BBQ on it's own isn't overpowered. Pop on it's own is incredibly, incredibly strong (bordering on overpowered) but falls just shy. Combining them makes Pop much, much stronger. Therefore, the combo is overpowered.
PGTW is mathematically not good. You will often waste more time using it than you would've saved by kicking a gen.
I say this with no ill intent, but try to play a bit more. Pop can feel overbearing, but I assure you it isn't that bad.
-
Probably Myers or Pyramid Head.
Both are unable to be controlled by the Entity and both are described as Evil Incarnate and an Incarnation of Guilt, respectively.

Again, the hitboxes are fine.
If you are having problems with desync and lag, join the club, there's not much to be done about it
I actually play Survivor quite a bit, so your assessment is incorrect.

It's not really. Spine Chill doesn't tell the exact direction the killer is coming, but OoO does. A more fair comparison is a Premonition on steroids.
Spine Chill does actually. It tells you when they are looking at you within 32 (?) meters.
OoO tells you they are...somewhere in that direction.
-
@[Deleted User] said:

Just a small reminder that current OoO still works as a Premonition without cooldown as the icon still lights up against Undetectable and you can tell from which direction the killer is coming.
I know it's unrelated, but it's just because I see people who say that stealth killers or Blindness are counters to OoO, but they really aren't.
But at that point, it's just a budget Spine Chill.

Only noob killers are complaining about gen rush.
Camping and tunneling a survivor is ruining the survivor's experience, whatever the skill he/she has.
Gen rush doesn't even exist. You can't be g en rushed if you have map control and if you drive your game towards a 3 gens situation.
Unlikely. Prove your point.
"Only noob Survivors complain about camping and tunneling. Good Survivors will win regardless."
The game is inherently Survivor-sided and your bias shows by not actually the basic unbalanced nature of the game.

Yeah but they are also gonna introduce starstruck (makes every survivor within a certain range exposed when carrying a survivor) which is good for boodyblocking.
You're going to take Starstruck over Ruin or Pop or Enduring or BBQ ect ect?

BHVR knows that camping and tunneling is a big problem in DbD, it has been like this for 4 years and yet they have never done anything about it (and adding perks do nothing).
Eh, BHVR knows slamming gens is a huge problem, but hasn't done anything about it for the same reason they've not fixed camping and tunneling.
It's a legitimate strategy.

Why not, but let spirit know when this happens.
Maybe even add as an addon or basekit feature that she can also see survivors during that blip.
She doesn't need to know if it occurs on a set interval.
