Yet you claim that the top where the game is unbalanced is purely occupied by Blight, Spirit and Nurse. If you are playing all others killers... you are not facing those 'good' players by your own admission or are you claiming that unless they face you...
Your logic is showcasing major paradox elements; if the good players only face 3 killers ... that means all other killers don't face them even if played by you.
Queue times have increased and yes even I face DS, DH, UB, BT, SG, SB, meta meta meta perks with offerings on Badham, Ormond, Haddonfield and CORN CORN CORN (I even posted that I am getting fed up with map offerings) and I am nowhere near the top level of killer. Face it... your logic that it only affects the top is simply invalid.
So... how is that fine?
If the system were perfect, then yes, the top % would only see Spirit, Blight and Nurse.
However, if you'd read, you would see that I mentioned that my MMR is boosted higher because I have lost so few games due to the failures of the old matchmaking system. This causes me to play against people who I should not be playing against. Obviously, like I said, a Legion isn't going to fair very well against a good team.
Perhaps I will adjust my logic. It should only affect the top % of players, however, due to the failings of the old matchmaking system, it affects other players who were unintentionally boosted by the system.

You realize the logic flaw in your reasoning right?
If to enter the upper echelons of the community you need to play those 3 killers, therefore the solution to your issue would be to not play those killer and you would not meet those players... as by your own accord: they only face those 3 killers.
Yet you are denouncing the entire role meaning that even at lower levels where even the worst killers reside meeting far lesser survivors hit the same issues. The MMR is killer based after all and if you are facing issues on all of them... it really showcases it isn't just the top 10% of the community. Yet here you go and state; it is all good... the hypocrisy is strong.
Except, you eventually hit a hard cap where you no longer win but no longer lose. I think I hit that with Wraith. I can reliably get 1 Kill with 5-7 hooks, but no more than that. I continue to face the same teams, wherein I get 1 Kill and it certainly isn't fun to play super campy and tunnel-y.
Likewise, you are failing to consider that MMR has been collecting data in the background. I play almost every Killer (######### off Nurse) and I've lost like 15 games since the New Year. I get long queue's and get destroyed because my MMR is so high on Killers that should not be up there. Legion? Against DS, DH, UB, BT on Badham? No way I win that.
There have also been examples given on the Forums about how MMR is not dropping fast enough. I'm not going to play 30 Legion games just so that I have a chance at winning.

What's your proof that it's "balanced around Survivors being bad"?
You can feasibly lose 3 gens for a single good chase at the start of the game.
20 seconds to find a Survivor, 10 seconds to get the first hit, 30 seconds for the down, 10 seconds to hook, 15 to find a new Survivor and ta-da, 3 gens pop. The Survivors have just done 60% of their objective and you've done 8.3% of yours.
The only reason this doesn't happen is because most Survivors don't play on that level, as soon as you throw good players into this game, balance falls apart.
-

Euhm... how is that fine? Didn't you just make a post that you don't want to play killer anymore, but you claim that it is all fine? Interesting take...
Yep, I sure did.
Because the game is balanced at a casual level, ie, Survivors aren't efficient.
I'd say maybe 10% of the community plays at a higher level, and unfortunately, that's where balance falls apart. You either play Nurse, Spirit and Blight or you don't really have a chance. It's just mathematics at that point and unfortunately, I doubt BHVR will ever do anything about it.
I know Killer players don't like to get stomped for not running meta or playing those three Killers and I know Survivor players don't like always running meta and playing against those three Killers either. Even further, the game isn't fun at those ranks, even when you win.

What does that have to do with being balanced?
The game is balanced around Survivors being bad.
Which is fine, most Survivors are.

You don't need any defense. You only need it because you chose to sweat. If you sweat, you will be matched with equally sweaty survivors. I don't understand why people have so much trouble understanding concept of SBMM.
Lol, that's not how it works.
@GoodBoyKaru aren't you currently stuck in Pyramid Head hell?

Game is balanced on a casual level, yeah.

Why not wait until tuesday to complain about it? If the boon perk is something like "+20% healing speed bonus while the boon is active" this post is going to look like a joke.
Also, how dull totems aren't an objective but breakable walls are? You can still kill survivors without breaking a single wall. That's like saying getting rid of pallets is an objective.
I mean, try playing Dead Dawg or Groaning Storehouse without breaking those walls.

Yes but these perks also aren't very good at all as a result sadly.
That's my point.
Whereas you have stuff like NOED, Devour and Ruin which are really good, you also have other stuff that isn't good.

I imagine they have to be stronger than non Boon perks yes? Dead Hard and Unbreakable aren't Boons, so how does one make a Boon better than them without breaking the game? It is simply not a good idea, at least not yet.
Third Seal exists, as does Crowd Control and Blood Favor.
Hex perks don't necessarily equal strong effect.
-
Yeah, Survivors need a second objective.
However, Boon Totems could be "All Gens repair themselves at 50% speed until this totem is cleansed" and it could also just as likely be "Survivors aura-reading range is extended by 2 meters until this totem is cleansed."

Why would you even want to prevent survivors from wasting time on healing when you're playing Legion? The pins are just bloodweb clutter.
Confirmed Thana value.
Also Survivors like to heal and if they are good, removing that add-on wouldn't allow you to win lmao

How do you know this? No one has played with these changes yet. She needed a nerf and this will make her more enjoyable to go against. She'll still be a strong killer as well. It's a good thing for both sides.
Read my reply to the other person that asked this.

@GoodBoyKaru said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2517629#Comment_2517629
Or you just... Use Thana anyway to either make them heal or get value anyway, either giving you constant slowdown via healing when you're a Legion, or giving you slowdown via Thana and freeing up an add-on spot?
Recharge add-ons are actually semi-decent. Duration add-ons are still his best though. But what if, instead of using Legion Pin, an add-on which encourages survivors to play better, you use both duration add-ons?
Both duration also encourages Survivors to spread out, which means they are doing separate gens, which means 3 gens pop after a single chase.
I think Thana and the Broken icon get into Survivors heads because they ALWAYS heal when I use it.

His design literally forces the Survivors to be efficient. He literally sets himself up to be genrushed by using his power.

That's one of the add-ons you don't wanna use because it forces bad survivors to play better vs you...
It can be used with Thana to force slowdown.
Ruin, Pop, Thana, Mindbreaker with Legion Pin and Sketchbook.
Also, I was more referring to the fact that it isn't like the Killer Instinct range add-ons or Stab Wound Study, or Frank's Mixtape or Fuming Mixtape or his power recovery add-ons where they either do so little or their effect is so awful that they aren't worth running.

Sure, you typed this statement so it must be unbiased and true.
Yes. This nerf will kill her high-level play, but it isn't going to affect the average player.
Casual players are not going to look for dust being kicked up nor will they listen for directional phasing sounds. Ergo, this nerf does nothing for 90% of players, who will still clamor for Spirit nerfs.
However, good players WILL look for those things and they will use that knowledge to heavily counter her. This will cause Spirit to stomp new players but be worse against high-level players.
Ultimately, we'll see on Tuesday. The dust and phasing noise could be so insignificant that it doesn't matter.

So was DS? This doesn't mean further nerfs aren't needed. Both were nerfed once, both needed another nerf, both got it.
This Spirit nerf isn't good.

They can change achievements if they are no longer possible to get. FTOH, and both tombstone add-ons, can be changed for game health.
I saw someone mention that All-Seeing Blood should stop the aura reveal while uncloaking, and I agree. It gives more use to the Blink set of add-ons and removes one of my biggest gripes with the add-on.
Iri Puzzle Box can be basekit when solo has any form of coordination. Until then, no.
Swapping the rarities does absolutely nothing to change the power level of the add-ons. They both need a complete change.
Blight's speed add-ons aren't the biggest issue that I agree to, but it's a personal gripe due to just how often I see them combined with the Basic ######### Blight Build™. If that build goes then I have no issues with it, but don't give him a way to react to the Tinkerer procs faster.
That's the excuse that's always been given when people ask them to change the Adept requirements. "We can't change achievements" or something similar. I also think FTOH is fine, but Tombstone Piece isn't. Judith's Tombstone is also fine.
That could be a good compromise for All-Seeing.
Which will never happen, forever damning Pinhead.
I didn't mean rarities, I meant I think the Amulet is fine and Mother-Daughter Ring is way more nutty.
I'm honestly fine with every Blight add-on (except Adrenaline Vial because holy ######### its bad) but that's probably because there are few good Console Blight's and they aren't as good as PC players.

@GoodBoyKaru said:
I want Brand New Part just deleted, I don't care.
Scalped Topknot as well, that's going ASAP.
All Seeing blood could use a slight tweak.
Trickster's throw rate + Iri Photocard- actually just delete Trickster
Pig's Tampered Timer and Crate of Gears (yes we should buff her basekit)
Engineer's Fang gone and Iri Puzzle Box bugfixed.
Yakuyoke Amulet- actually no we can toss Spirit in the trash too.
Tombstone Piece + Fragrent Tuft
And just delete keys in general.
Edit: Almost forgot to yeet Blight's speed add-ons and Alchemist Ring, whoopsies!
Fragrant Tuft of Hair has to stay for the Evil Incarnate achievement.
All-Seeing just needs it's radius reduced, imo.
Iri Puzzle Box should be basekit, I said it.
Swap the Amulet and Mother-Daughter Ring for Spirit.
Oh and Blight's Speed add-ons are chilling but Alchemist's Ring must perish.

Trapper's Sack???? 😏😏😏
-
This nerf is entirely designed to kill her high-level gameplay.
Her normal gameplay against casual players is unlikely to change, since most players aren't going to look for dust or listen to the directional phasing.
However, high-level players will pay attention and they will hear the phasing.

I'm so sorry but I remember people saying to make Trapper Bag basekit for years, they do it and suddenly it's the wrong change?
And- again, correct me if I'm wrong, but Hex:Ret, Blood Favour, and Thrill have not been nerfed? Trapper has not been nerfed? So my original comment is correct, yes?
I never said you were wrong.
These are steps in the correct direction, but they aren't going to change anything.
Trapper still sucks because his set-up time is so long, but adding a single extra trap does help.
Retribution, Blood Favor and Thrill all received changes that aren't really going to matter. They all give a very mediocre affect that can be removed permanently and their strength doesn't justify the perk slot, yet.
In terms of a high-level perspective, this update (so far) has been much better for Survivors than it has for Killers, but there is a whole other part so I will reserve judgement until then
-
I've seen her maybe once in the last two months.

Yeah Hex: Ret, Blood Favour, Third Seal, Thrill, and Trapper buffs were secretly horrible nerfs!
Tbf, they didn't really address Trapper's core issues and that Purple add-on is so getting nerfed. There is no way he is going to be allowed to carry ALL of his traps.
Hex: Ret is more of a QoL, Blood Favor is still pretty bad but better and Thrill is more of a nerf reversion.

didn't even test it and here we are already complaining lol
"no one will play spirit."
great.
Pretty sure she had directional phasing in her PTB and she was kinda awful. She had other issues but her directional phasing was a huge one.
Every time they've tried directional sound (Huntress and Freddy lullaby's) it has been a massive failure and has totally killed interest in said Killer.
Additionally, this literally only KILLS her high-level viability. A casual Survivor isn't going to notice dust kicked up or the phasing, but GOOD Survivors WILL.

Not saying I agree with OP, but in a sense, that kind of gameplay is already there. Conceptually, survivors get punished by being good in chases with Bloodlust.
They CAN be.
That's not the intention of Bloodlust though. Bloodlust is there to circumvent poor map/loop design.
This system would be implemented purely to punish the Killer for killing people

I watched both of them at the time and just rewatched. Nothing about console in first. In second she says how game feels bad on pc and on console is terrible, while no personal experience on console she's heard from her community how it was on console. During this she did mention that apparently in comments of first video there was a disconnect she didn't know where it came from so maybe that is where you heard she belittled console?
Rewatching her second video she mentions that she has brought up stutters/freezes to bhvr. Now she's tweeting about performance issues it will hit larger audience with that especially since it takes 2 seconds to read the tweet over waiting 25 minutes of a 38 minute video to hear her talk about performance issues. Also with direct link to bhvr as fog whisperer as she mentions in the video it's interesting she's reaching out on Twitter for help now for any fixes people may have.
BHVR doesn't have a great record of listening to Fog Whisperers

Iirc, they also made light of Console issues in one of their boycott discussion videos, but I could be mistaken. Even if I'm not, people are allowed to change their opinions.
Regardless, it's unfortunate they are having issues and it further lends credence to the theory that this isn't a hardware issue.

Just run Starstruck, Tinkerer, Ruin and Pop.

"Just stop playing sweaty lol"
I've no idea what to tell you in all seriousness. Fun is at an all time low for either side.

You aren't supposed to 4K every match.
If you think killer is miserable, try playing survivor with Ruin and Tinkerer every match.
Killers are only happy if they have an overwhelming presence in the match, one in which survivor has practically no way to win. Survivors need more ways to escape because finishing 5 gens is generally impossible.

Yeah people wanted a better system than the old one but SBMM was never the answer to fixing it.
Most people listen to what BHVR tells them.
SBMM is a negative addition to the game, just like almost every other game it's been added to.
-

True. No one asked for SBMM yet BHVR with their egos pretend like they know what’s best for the game.
People definitely did ask for it.
That doesn't mean it's a good idea, but people definitely wanted a new matchmaker.
-
Just as an update, I played some more Killer.
Two games as Pig.
First game had an average hours of ~2500 and I 4K'd with 5 gens.
Next game had an average hours of 500 and I got sent to Haddonfield and destroyed.
There is no consistency and Killer is a miserable experience. BHVR needs to do something and quickly. I don't care what their data says about balance. I couldn't give less of a #########, it isn't fun. Isn't that why people play games, to have fun? There's nothing fun about sweating your ass off for a 0-1K because you dared to play Killer and dared to be decent.
-
As someone who has dumped a lot of time into him, no.
-
I feel like that's a bad idea.
