Bro your just mad cause you can't hump and bleed out someone at 99% anymore and I get it. So make up all the if and butts you want. Yes we play another game when killers like you wanna be clowns and my audience too rather see something than a stare down or immature hurt ego killers like so you dont tell me how to stream as I been doing for 5 years and my viewers go with the flow so it does not bother them what I do, it aint even sometimes about the game you know?

Somtimes even joking and talking about stuff also is what makes streaming enjoyable as dbd am sorry to break it to youbis not the onlynsource of good entertainment. My friends dont stream so nice fair attempt there. Continue to brag about your 4ks yet complains at the same time about swf.

How do you 4k all the time but complaining about swf hmm? See how silly you sound? Anyways clown the show is over I shall not waste my time on you anymore as you are one of the biggest stage fest here and the most disliked.

Firstly it's rare I hump people on the ground, I slug them hook. Only in extreme circumstances would I do that like a hacker that I managed to down. But you have openly admitted to being childish and hiding for however long in a locker with no reason other than your one of those griefers that throw a tantrum when they get caught.

Secondly once again your hypocrisy astounds me. You being the first person to instigate the petty immature action of deliberately hiding in a locker to avoid a mori knowing the match is over regardless then accuse someone like me that plays by your rules and acts as petty as you which you started, as being hurt ego killers? I fight fire with fire, play reasonable and I play reasonable. Play like a petulant child and I will play it your way. You seem to fail to understand that your the instigater, your the one that intentionally tries to abuse the system and go out your way to be petty first. If your getting humped on the ground that much I can honestly see why if you play the game that way. Definitely sounds like you have been griefing for a while and killers have been putting you down for it which you sound very bitter about.

Thirdly, I deal with swf my way which I won't say here because apparently it's not permitted in the forums but it is permitted in the game however. They use coms as a tactical advantage I use my own legitimate methods to counter it which works and inevitably upsets swf. Doesn't change the fact that I think swf has major advantages that solo doesn't have which is why when I'm going against soloq I get 4k at 4 or 5 gens but against swf I get 3/4k at 1 gen remaining by using my methods. I pride myself in being able to counter anything thrown at me, adapting and maintaining my wins even against op swf bully squads.

  • He's an M1 killer with no anti loop…no excuse why people can't loop him. The problem is when people can't loop and intentionally try to get in Myers face, Myers just stalks them thinking "smh what are you people doing?" Then kills them. He's one of the only killers that actually punishes people for acting like a clown trying to get the killers attention. You want the killers attention by looping and t bagging and flashy flashy? You got it... Tombstoned.

Listen you if you dont know what multi streaming is and the ability to run more than one application then you may want to look up how to stream via Google or YouTube.

A capture card is a device allow me to easily stream a console game via stream labs. I play dbd on pc now. I have 3 monitor so 1 for dbd pc stream, the other for console capture card and the third for whatever I want on it. So hence I can play another game or do something as switch stream while you waste your time being a looney toon staring at a locker.

Hopefully you learned something, now I shall not waste no more time with you. Also your final I 4k all the time but is the same hypocrite who qq swf this swf that wah wah wah. Who is the one not making no sense? Or is hate distortion rats yet complains and say looping is boring and take no skill?

Lol I'm aware of streaming multiple things but as a viewer if I'm streaming someone playing dbd and they hide in a locker then stream something else I wouldn't be switching to watch them be just as petty in a different game. As a streamer you should take onboard the views and opinions of the public also you admit to playing swf so while your streaming a different game what are your 3 team mates doing? Playing without you? Forcing them to play another game with you? You see how what you say makes no sense?😊 but no worries iv come across swf griefer squads before so I know your mentality and know there simply is no reasoning with your mentality. Impossible to find logic from illogical mindset. You do you 😁

Yawn yeah stay at the locker all you want while I play my switch or simply stream another game because my pc can handle more than one game lol and I also have a capture card to stream a console game too.

I care not about your achievement it is more denying your stale animation while my audience and I laugh at you as we do other things.🤗 You are correct my eyes are certainly precious how kind of you.

You can also enjoy yor bags to pick up at the gate or go take out your defeat on the pallets and breakable walls to ease the anger.

Ah well luckily for me I get 4k very very regularly. Actually don't remember last time the hatch spawned in my matches so I'm good.

You seem to make less and less sense as time goes on, you admit to doing other things in such situations such as play switch but also say you have viewers to keep entertained.... Ye that doesn't add up. People want to watch you hide in a locker for an hour? Due to the constant hypocrisy you spew out and the contradictions you say it makes very difficult to believe anything you say to be honest. Just makes you out to be a griefer that throws a tantrum when your caught.

Am sorry you wont be able to hump on ground for 99% of my bleed meter before moring me . Am sorry I think I know the same stale animation 1 million times.

What does Myers has anything to do with this? Ok ill bite when I see one I instant go in lockers all the time so unlike other survivors you ain't getting me with your no skill tombstone piece so try again.

Oh I love it when people like you do that lol. Many times last survivor will hide in a locker under the impression they are preventing me getting the achievement, I just stand by the locker and wait. If a survivor is going to be petty like that I will do the same. They get very annoyed when they find out I had that achievement long ago.

I haven't had an issue with people leaving me on the ground to 99 as survivor but then I escape often so I suppose I wouldn't witness that.

well enjoy you skill free DC to save your precious eyes from witnessing your own defeat because i can almost guarantee it won't stay as it is for long 😊

The shop and youtube exist for the same animations over and over. I will walk up and whack any t bagging survivors out the gate because

1 = I will take the extra bp

2= I do not have a frail mind

Stop that few seconds excuse because its not EVERY killer has just a 5 second mori. If chucky is not a prime example. If you hate t bags at gate , switch to youtube or something or break some pallets/walls. DBD is not the only game that t bagging exist and no one complains about it on other games , just like swf no one complains about it like dbd does. It is pathetic again this is the one game where something common swf/t bag exist and people complain. Shall I complain about killers who smack on hook simply cause they couldnt catch you, you ran them for x amount of gens, you pallet save/flashlight save a teammate?

How do you not see the hypocrisy lol? I could say if you hate mori animation so much just watch YouTube while it's happening. You pretty much are complaining about killers that smack on hook, but replace smack on hook with mori. I have a feeling it's people like you that DC mid mori when I tombstone them...I mean why? The DC penalty is longer than the Mori but they just can't bare to have a taste of their own medicine. Drop pallet, tbag, drop pallet, tbag, drop pallet, tbag, TOMBSTONE! DC. the hypocrisy is astonishing.

When survivors DC abruptly like that it always looks like they have thrown a tantrum and shut everything down in a rage like a child.

You continue to miss my point and insult me for no reason. You're also stuck on me saying the mode is "chill" but that isn;t what I said, I said the devs intended it to be "SUPPOSEDLY chill." Supposedly. Supposedly. Sup. Pos. Id. Ly. You can go back and read it, even. The mode is "supposedly" chill, not "is chill" because we can see people sweat in it. That still does not mean the mode was not intended to be a bit less sweaty by removing meta perks. Everything about it says "you should not take these rounds too seriously because everyone has pretty bad perks in it". Because that's stupposed to be a fun change, Fun. Fun. The mode is supposed to just be fun, and guess what?

The point of every single game ever… is to have fun. Not just win.

    Have. Fun.

You seem to have forgotten this judging by your arguments. But I play games to have fun, Most people play to have fun. Not just win. Not just stomp the other side. Pretty much everyone plays games to have fun. There is no spin, it's not "my opinion", it's just the truth. Games are intended to be fun first of all, you play a game to have fun and winning is not the only way to do that. These modes prove it.

Sweating is not fun for most people. It's not fun to play against. The sheer fact you can't control perks and can't have meta in Chaos Shuffle should be ENOUGH to show you are definitely not intended to sweat real hard in it. Because sweating is really hard with no meta, so how do people sweat instead? By bringing OP items, map offerings, addons and Killers of course.

But that isn't the point of a mode called CHAOS shuffle.

What do you play this game for? if it's not to have fun and just to win… why play a game you don't have fun in?

Firstly... Where have I insulted you?

Secondly... The Devs have not supposedly. You have come up with that yourself. Who's to say the Devs didn't intend for the mode to be just as sweaty as regular mode but with a twist. This would make more sense as they still offer BP rewards and various other reasons for people to sweat.

I think these alternative modes prove people have fun by winning, this explains why so many people sweat in these events just like they do in regular mode. You might have fun differently and not require a win to have fun but I think many people have fun by winning. If sweating isn't fun for most people then there wouldn't be an issue with people sweating in matches, they simply wouldn't do it if it wasn't fun.

To answer your question I play the game because it's fun. It's fun because I win. If I lost match after match I wouldn't have fun and wouldn't play the game. We all have fun in our own way and clearly your way differs to mine but that's ok.

    No. Just no.

Breaking 5 dull totems, just in case the killer might have NOED, is absolutely sandbagging the entire team. NOED is less than 10% chance of even happening, and an even smaller chance that multiple survivors would die from it. Usually it just gets 1 kill at most.

Meanwhile, there is a much much larger percent of games, where breaking all 5 totems is a complete waste of time. There's no massive value in those games. The team would have been better off if you had just repaired generators instead.

To be fair, I often run noed with pyramid head. Usually because when people actually do gens the speed that gens fly is crazy so I know there is a good chance all gens will be done. I basically use the fact that if people are trying to win they will gen rush ignoring totems completely which leaves me with noed at the end. Combined with tunneling I pretty much always get 2k minimum. Granted the percentage of people that use noed is small but that's what I rely on, survivors not expecting it.

  • @Coffeecrashing said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3920640#Comment_3920640

And that is the biggest gap between solo q and SWFs. In solo q, we have people that are sandbagging the rest of their team, by doing things like spending 5 minutes just walking around breaking totems. It's bad for the game. How can solo q survivors feel like a team, when it's acceptable for survivors to actively sandbag their team like that?

I agree, the challenges should be based on the objectives of the role such as complete so many gens. I think that would help people to actually work together to do gens instead of being selfish solo player like me lol. It might even encourage players to not hide for 10min or however long while avoiding gens.

The way I look at things is how I play in that role and how I would play in that role. What would get me to play in a healthy way, play as a team player? And if I had challenges that meant working on gens and helping my team I would do that, I'm guessing others would too. Clear objectives with a clear outcome is whats needed.

Hell no, I'm sick of that map. For over 3 months 75% of my matches people brought wreckers offering and many would DC in loading screen if I had sac ward or my own offering so I was basically forced to play that map if I wanted a match. It was insane how many azarovs offerings people were bringing

  • @smurf said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3920617#Comment_3920617

I wonder about that sometimes too :)

Really depends. I get a mix of matches, usually depending on things like (i) duration of the first chase, (ii) looping skill of the whole team, (iii) whether the map is laid out in my favor, (iv) what build I'm running, and (v) presumably whether the team is a swf on comms doing callouts of my position.

Obviously it's usually impossible to confirm that last one, but there are matches when I'm playing Pig, take a strange path, stealth in advance, and still find that every survivor is abandoning their gen long before I get there... so sometimes I have suspicions about which teams are talking to each other.

If my first chase is strong, it's a lot easier to build pressure. I've found that easiest with Pig and Billy, (though I admittedly only play a handful of killers so I can realistically be decent with them). Pig should be landing free hits by approaching gens without line of sight if possible. That makes her into essentially a one-hit down killer with a decent ability to force survivors out of loops. With Billy, I really enjoy running Lethal and trying for a down five seconds into the match on survivors who don't run somewhere safe... instapressure :)

But yeah, if the first chase doesn't go my way, then I expect to have a tough match, and even to need to snowball later. I'd say my typical match is 2k or 3k, with a bit more of them being 3k. Not sure if it makes a difference, but I practically always give hatch to the last survivor if the team didn't annoy me, so my MMR might take a hit, giving me easier matches. I also do not tunnel until egc is about to pop, so a team that has me just has the match. I could definitely just swing my approach once I feel like I'm having a bad match and get more 'wins', which would probably put me against better survivors. But I'd rather not do that; it feels cheap :( So all that could be keeping me out of the MMR levels where I'll be seeing super strong squads more often than I do. My feeling is that if it's necessary to tunnel against the strongest teams, that's a balance problem that BHVR needs to fix.

I also play mostly without add-ons, which might also lead to me getting 2k or 1k against teams that are stronger, potentially also preferentially leading me to an MMR that's not as high as I could be in. But I like doing that because I imagine it makes me rely more on only the killer's power.

In the end though, I get a mix of results, with I think 2k and 3k being the most common. And I give hatch a lot, so 4k is a lot less common than it should be. 1k happens sometimes, but 0k is pretty rare. I'm pretty ass at Nemi though, so people do give me some 0ks when I get in an RE mood ;)

That might explain a lot actually lol. For me, 0k and 1k never happens, 2k is very rare. most of my matches I'm getting 3k or 4k. If I'm against solo players I'm getting 2 kills by the time survivors have done 2 or gens which often results in either the other 2 throwing themselves at me or it goes the other way and they hide for as long as possible. If it's against swf it's a lot closer match with almost all gens being completed before I get the 4k. But few months ago I had 50+ win streak of no less than 3k. It's rare I give hatch I'm not a nice killer and people are very vocal about that but I play to win. That's with tomstone Myers tho, scratch mirror I'm lucky to get 2k because of the swf on coms that negate my stealth.

Maybe if I gave hatch more and took a few loses then I wouldn't be matched with these people, but I have fun going for the win and have fun thinking outside the box to counter controversial behaviours like hiding for up to an hour.

If a killer decides they want to do a "slugging challenge", and decides their win condition is to let every survivor bleed out on the ground, then according to you, that is 100% acceptable, because this player put their own value on different issues and risk what they have for the possibility of more.

If a survivor decides they want to do a "final girl challenge", and decides their win condition is to hide the entire match, and just watch all their teammates die, so they can be the final survivor that is alive, then according to you, that is 100% acceptable, because this player put their own value on different issues and risk what they have for the possibility of more.

As much as I disagree with the whole putting your own win condition for the game… dbd has encouraged exactly that. I admit as survivor if I have cleanse 20 totems challenge then I'm doing my challenge and working on totems. To hell with the gens and my team mates lol. If I get a few totems done in the match I scratch it as a win for me.

I've never seen any number of survivors successfully hide for 10 minutes. And even if they did, the killer doesn't have to abandon the match. This isn't really an abusable mechanic as the killer can simply choose to keep hunting for the survivors who have guaranteed their loss if they were to do that.

Edit: I guess I could imagine some people trying to do this, but I still have never had two or more survivors successfully hide against me for 10 minutes or more. I have had people try to hide against me, but I haven't seen an instance where I thought it was unwarranted. However, I have seen instances of one survivor hiding and the other doing gens...

I am curious what your matches are like as killer? What's your usual match like? 3k? 4k at 5 gens? 3k with 1 gen remaining? The reason I ask is because you seem to have vastly different matches than me and many other killers lol.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3920568#Comment_3920568

    Well I'm calling it now

What would happen is pretty obvious

If 10 minute abandon equal killer loss - killers will be less likely to take it and survivors more likely to hide

If 10 minute abandon equals killer win - killers will be more likely to try and hold a 3 gen as an alternative win strategy

Both of those are just normal human behavior.

It's only if the abandon equals draw or the abandon equals ???? that how people will behave is a little uncertain.

I would like to point out no one needs to abandon to tank MMR. They just need to lose...killer lets survivors win and survivors let killer kill them to tank MMR.

Except in this situation the killer still gets to play the game and feel like they win. It would be very boring and take a long time to just load into matches and intentionally lose.

I think it's evident what people would do if the abandon is a draw. Survivors using abandon to get a draw instead of a loss when they are downed is a testament to that. People will pick the lesser of the 2 evils, if they can't win, next best thing is draw.

the whole point to abandon option for killer is so they can get out of a match survivors are taking hostage by not doing their objective but anti hiding in phase 2 of qol updates is supposed to deal with that so why even have abandon? Strange that it even exists. If it's a win killers abuse it, if it's loss survivors abuse it, if it's draw survivors abuse it because for the survivor it's better to try get the killer to settle for a draw than win. There is no good scenario.

  • @crogers271 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3920546#Comment_3920546

Of course some killers won't abandon. It could be treated as a win and some killers wouldn't abandon. But we have no idea on frequency.

I have no plans to change abandoning matches when the prompt appears if the survivors are hiding out.

I think a far greater worry is that people abandon intentionally to tank their MMR, even if that is not what abandon results in that is currently the impression.

Well I'm calling it now, if the abandon remains as is then be prepared for a lot of a matches where survivors are avoiding gens and hardly any chases occure. Already some people have seen a rise in whole matches of non engaging gameplay where survivors hide and the killer is wandering around for 10min then losing after 10min.

I would like to point out no one needs to abandon to tank MMR. They just need to lose...killer lets survivors win and survivors let killer kill them to tank MMR.

  • I do believe I said this would happen... I said killers wouldn't throw a match they are winning. last 2 survivors hide for 10min then killer has a choice of taking a loss with abandon or remain in the match for a chance to win eventually...even if it takes up to an hour. Looks like many killers won't abandon due to it being a loss which is exactly what I said would happen.

  • @LNiskawaii said:

so we're rewarding survivors for not playing the game (just hiding, not touching gens) and we're rewarding them for losing the game (all going down)

I am a surv main and this is the dumbest thing I've ever read. I loaded a killer match a week ago and 10 minutes go by of not seeing a single survivor and no gens being touched (legit saw no survivors all game), so of course I abandoned. And that's a loss to me??? Because people wanna play hide and seek in public matches??? If this goes live I'm losing all faith in this game

It's already live, has been for a while. Since abandon feature was introduced it had always been this way but apparently the end game screen doesn't show this which is something they intend to change. But the loss for killer after abandon has been live for a while.

  • @LockerLurk said:

Please allow Killers to abandon the match when Survivors spend more than one minute in the exit gates with nobody leaving, or when all gens are finished without the Killer getting at least 5 hooks. Nobody wants to stay in a round that is a total stomp and it really should not be up to one player to force others out when one side is obviously trying to grief.

I agree the current abandon system can be abused to smurf, by both sides. Just make it so that abandons do nothing to MMR, gain or loss, I don't understand why they affect MMR at all.

The MMR change had BETTER be to make it linear gain/loss so that a bunch of wins do not then equal twenty stomps in a row, I am sick of having a string of good games either side and then having to suffer a bunch of really nasty ones just to get back to a point I do not have to sweat constantly. The MMR change had better also include making the emblems and pips DEAD simple to get, so people aren't encouraged to sweat for pips.

As previously pointed out, if abandon does nothing for MMR (like it currently does when survivors abandon when all are downed) this can be used to prevent MMR dropping which would lead to inaccurate MMR scores putting people on brackets they shouldn't be in. For example if the last 2 survivors are downed next to eachother, both abandon and both get out the match with MMR not effected when they were about to be hooked which would have caused a drop in MMR.

No, you're right, you shouldn't be forced to run a specific perk to counter toxic behavior, but you shouldn't be able to employ toxic behavior in return either. Two wrongs don't make a right. You know very well what you can do to counter a 4-man flashlight squad, but you'd rather complain about your right to make the game unfun for everyone else than simply do the logical thing to prevent them from making it unfun for you.

I run Lightborn every single match with every single killer. I think it's fun. I've encountered flashlight squads and I've mopped the floor with them and laugh my head off doing it as I imagine their jaws dropping when they realize I have Lightborn on and they have no other skills to help them get through the match. And I think to myself, "It serves them right" because they brought it on themselves by using toxic gameplay tactics.

But I also can't abide killers using toxic gameplay tactics either. At least killers have a perk to defend against flashlights, survivors have nothing to defend against slugging.

    Edit: Fixed typo

No mither? Unbreakable? Exponential? Their own team mates? I think there are many ways to counter slugging.

    [Me]—————[The Point]——————[You Are Here]

The point of the mode is randomness, not sweat. Sweat is the opposite of chaos, my guy. Sweat implies rigorously and religiously using the strongest tools and tactics you can in order to win really hard. Chaos implies not giving a crap about what happens with your perks or addons.

To make it truly chaos, everything except character choice should be random and map offerings should be banned. If we start allowing extra tactics that adds more restrictions and less chaos because now everyone has to work around a meta. Simply destroy the ability to even HAVE a meta, then you have zero sweat and zero chaos… and then everyone can chill the actual heck out and stop trying to winhard.

You seem to be under the impression that it's impossible to sweat if everything is random. I can honestly say, regardless what is random, if there are rewards to be gained then people can and will sweat.

It's like saying the point the normal mode is to have fun not sweat, it's possible to have fun and sweat like it's possible to have random everything and sweat.

Me for example... If chaos mode has random perks, random maps, random items, even random killers, everything random. I can still sweat as killer and tunnel. I can still sweat as survivor in a swf.

All the chaos mode is, is just a different game mode for people play for a change. Nowhere does it say people shouldn't sweat or the that people should. Your putting your own spin on it and giving the chaos mode a purpose that doesn't exist by suggesting chaos mode is supposed to be "chill". Random perks? Yes. Chill? No. No amount of randomness would change that.

No argument from me. I'm just saying I think this has nothing to do with actual wins/losses/draws but instead is a conversation about MMR adjustment results.

That probably is the case, I'm just happy this is finally being discussed as much as it is because I saw this coming long ago but it seems things only started being noticed when the hens video was brought up. Crazy that content creators can point out these flaws by abusing things but if I admit to doing the same thing in the forums I'm at risk from being banned for "promoting unsportsmanlike gameplay" 😂

  • @RpTheHotrod said:

Im assuming the whole win/loss/draw is just a misnomer for MMR adjustments. Actual wins/loses have zero ties to MMR adjustments with how MMR systems work - MMR systems don't care about wins or loses, they only care about making future matches more fair. Thats why some games can even have wins count as MMR neutral and such. However, in DBD, they just happen to count a non hatch win as positive, but a hatch win as neutral despite still winning.

Long story short, I believe this whole conversation can be cleared up if they explain that by winning/losing/drawing, they don't mean it's a literal win/loss/draw but merely how the MMR will adjust.

That essentially means if all survivors are slugged and they disconnect, the killer won, but it treats the match as MMR neutral, so they say it's a draw when what they really mean is that it's MMR neutral.

That's the point tho, having it as neutral MMR means over time people will be in MMR brackets they really shouldn't be in. If last survivor gets hooked and sacrificed they should lose MMR which should over time put them in a MMR bracket nearer to their skill level. If survivors abandon the second they are downed preventing this MMR loss then the MMR results won't be accurate. Winning matches gains MMR.... losing matches stays the same essentially.

People already complain about how MMR is awful, try adding inaccurate MMR results to it and it will get much worse.

The real question here is how do they implement this feature without making it beneficial for survivors to hide for 10 minutes and get a draw while also making it not beneficial for killers to simply camp a 3 gen just to force an abandon so they can win? Also how to implement this so that 4 man slugs aren’t beneficial for the killers.

I feel like those are the things they’re trying to prevent but struggling to balance here. I do want to point out tho that survivors can’t force an abandon after no gens for 10 minutes.

The killer still has to choose the abandon option if they want to, it’s not instant. So what if the killer doesn’t abandon? Then survivors who try to cheese this are stuck hiding in a match for no reason and wasting their own time and will eventually be found.

Abandon after 10min gives survivors a reason to hide it out avoiding gens hoping the killer gets bored and abandons. It's certainly not punishing survivors for avoiding the objective. If the killer doesn't abandon then it's like it was before, survivors hide hoping 1 is caught first so last can get the hatch (possibly up to an hour). This doesn't seem to be much issues as survivors can't force the killer to give them a win, lose or draw.

But the issue is when survivors are downed, they instantly abandon before they are sacrificed. This prevents survivors MMR dropping accordingly (remains same as it's a draw). This means the last survivor will never drop MMR, never lose and also survivors could intentionally get downed to prevent a loss and settle for a draw.

Simple solution is make abandon count as loss for whoever uses it. If it's a loss for a killer to abandon them it should be a loss for the survivors that abandon not draw. At the very least, make it so abandon option has a time limit before it can be used so people can't abandon instantly before the killer can hook to get the sacrifice.

  • @not_Queef said:

Seems like it would make more sense to avoid terminology like Win, Loss or Draw, since it doesn't affect MMR and is therefore completely meaningless anyway.

    Just call it Abandoned instead.

This really isn't the issue people are making it out to be.

I think that's the point, it doesn't effect MMR. Losing does effect MMR so why would people take a loss when they can effectively have MMR not effected at all? Simple choice. When downed are survivors going to wait out being sacrificed on hook and lose MMR or will they abandon the second they are down to prevent MMR being dropped. Play the game long enough and people will find they are gaining MMR bit by bit but never going down due to abandon.

  • @Lixadonna said:

Also BHVR should never say what is a Win using Abandoning or that would be advocating exploits for a Win and changing how people should play the game outside of normal Gameplay to Win.

They are already doing this by giving survivors the ability to draw instead of lose. I know one thing, if I'm survivor and I have the option to settle for a draw instead of loss I'm going for the draw. No different to having a choice of win or lose... I will always pick the better outcome win, lose or draw.

The Killrate would be as many Kills as the Killer kills in the end. The game does not end, if a Survivor abandons, they leave a Bot. If the Killer decides to stick around, they get a 4K. If they abandon, they dont get anything. But the Killrate would not really matter anyway, since it is not used for Stats.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3919937#Comment_3919937

Does it actually matter what the outcome of the match is for the Survivor? Most likely only for people who want to make the game miserable for Survivors (which aligns perfectly with someone who is going for a 4 man-Slug).

I would say yes it does matter what the outcome is for the survivor because if I'm playing survivor and 2 of my team mates are eliminated with 2 or 3 gens left... I could potentially follow my team mate around and when the killer downs them I allow myself to be downed too so I can abandon and get a draw instead of a loss. Why would I lose when I can settle for a draw?

  • Have to say, I honestly don't see see this abandon thing lasting long. I'm fine with killer having the option to abandon because they have the choice in the matter... Use abandon or keep the match going....take the loss or go for the win. But as others have pointed out the last survivor will never get a loss because the second they are down they abandon before the killer can hook/Mori them and get a draw instead of a loss. It will probably take time for bhvr to realize this but eventually the penny will drop.

  • Still more chaotic than regular mode with random perks. Maybe not as chaotic as some might like but still chaos to some degree

The problem still remains that people should not have to bring offerings to counteract offerings in the supposedly chill, random mode.

Ok where does it say that chaos mode is supposed to be chill? The name is chaos... Doesn't sound chill to me

NOBODY should have to use an offering every game to counteract people trying to unfairly tilt a mode that is inherently not supposed to be balanced in THEIR favor just to win harder.

Nobody should be trying to purposefully abuse the fact Survs do not have antitunnel and Killers do not have generator perks.

Nobody should be abusing maps this way to send Survs without any coordination to Lery's as a stealth Killer or MacMillan's in a SWF just because "they know the tiles/it's good for my Killer".

Nobody should be able to GAME the CHAOS SHUFFLE mode where the point is you DON'T generally have meta and must rely on what you get.

That's the idea. It's either random and fun, or it's another mode to sweat on others via meta any way you can. I would rather they remove map offerings.

except if killer and survivor use map offerings or just 1 person brings sac ward then it's exactly how you want it....random. you can't tell others how to play the game, if they want to sweat and make use of the fact survivors don't have anti tunnel perks that's fine. I mean survivors made good use of the fact killers didn't have regress perks during blood moon event. i think bottom like is while survivors can still have toolboxes and use gen rush meta via items and killers can use tunneling and slugging meta without perks then you can expect both sides to try getting the upper hand in whatever way they can. Don't have to agree with it but it is what it is. Either bring your own offering, use sac ward or bring BP offering... Your choice as much as it is for your opponents.

I would be fine with map offerings being gone if certain builds, perks or addons didnt heavily rely on maps. On either side, but most criminally t1 myers (especially since they went out of their way to nerf the addon after the rework).

past few weeks I've been doing scratch mirror and I've had mostly positive feedback that love the scares and love the change from ghoul matches. Hope they enjoy it while it lasts because after offering nerfs it's going to be tombstone Myers all the way and I get way more negative feedback from people when im doing that build lol. That's why I used blood moon event to stock up on tombstone pieces being as scratch mirror will be dead. Have over 800 ready to go.

seems pointless. I have seen streamers play, watched videos and know what most killers do anyways. I dont see any point playing killer.

What so i can get destroyed by pro loopers and learn from them? already see pro loopers play on twitch. it doesnt do anything for me.

i mean you seen videos of killers and pro loopers but they don't do anything for you, yet you haven't tried putting the time in to playing the killers you struggle playing against. Watching people play is very different to playing the game yourself. I don't think I have ever heard of anyone mastering a game by watching others play it. But there are many that master all sorts of games by playing them. By playing survivor 90% of the time your essentially only playing half the game.

true you might lose a lot as killer at first like I did but after a while I learnt and adapted. 🤷‍♂️ Worked for me, I do fine as survivor and killer. don't knock it until you tried it 😊

There arent that many survivor sided maps, and all survivor sided maps together give a benefit thats less than Haddonfield.

And yeah, ancient Haddonfield was basically as strong for survivors as modern Haddonfield, but ancient Haddonfield saw more balancing changes than modern Haddonfield has. Modern Haddonfield needs breakable walls instead of free open holes at the very least

There are a lot of survivor sided maps when playing M1 killers. Maybe not as survivor sided for speed killers like blight but for standard M1 killers and stealth killers in particular with no major speed boost there are a lot of survivor sided maps. Tried playing stealth on wreckers, cold wind farm, eiree, badlam, Macmillan, Ormand? People can see the killer coming from miles away on large open maps and if you look at the total map variety there are more large open outdoor maps than there are small enclosed maps.

  • Occasionally the bots will get off the hook (it's happened in my matches as killer). End up with that bot unhooking another bot and the bot match continues. The abandon feature will probably get modified soon so survivors can't abandon instantly when downed. As killer I don't remember the last time my last hook/Mori was on an actual player because the second the last players is downed they abandon before I can hook them (even if they have DS and actual have a chance to get hatch).

Interestingly there have been far fewer people getting hatch since abandon has been an option. It used to be people would crawl to a common hatch spawn location when slugged and in many cases the hatch would spawn next to them. I have also done this many times in the past. But now... They just abandon instantly lol.

Imagine needing an offering, at the cost of BP, in order to make the game mode what it should be.

You're not wrong. But with that offering being mandatory in order to partially experience the mode in its full glory, it makes the whole mode feel soggy

I agree to a degree, and it will probably change when they bring in map offering nerfs but untill then if people don't want to play whatever the opponents map offering is then there is sac ward.

im aware sac ward isn't a fool proof solution as I have had many matches that people DC in loading screen because they see I have sac ward or they see I have a map offering. But like I said that will change when they introduce offering nerf which will not only reduce the percentage to 20% instead of 100% but it will hide the offerings so others can't see them.

  • @LockerLurk said:

Ban them. It's unfair, unfun, and sweaty to tilt maps in your favor, I don't care what side is doing it, in the fun chaos mode. Map offerings should not be allowed in Chaos Shuffle period.

That is all. That's the whole post.

    Use sac ward? Problem solved

  • @Nazzzak said:

"I played thru 12 minutes after killing 3 and then I admit I abandoned the game to ensure the 4th kill"

Just an FYI, the devs have confirmed doing this counts as a loss of kills for the killer (ie that 4th kill in your game won't be counted as such to the game, only the first 3) and will be made more clear in an upcoming update. You can check the comment section of Otz's YT video on this very topic where he's pinned confirmation as well that it counts as a loss. So yeah it can be done, everyone's aware of it, but there's not really a reward for doing so.

Indeed it does count as a loss when abandon is used. Depending how bad the killer wants to win will depend how likely they are to use this feature at all.

If a killer doesn't care about winning and wants to kill themselves then they will probably abandon after 10min.

If killer wants to win then the killer won't abandon and will continue the match as they normally would before the abandon option was available.

i have noticed survivors are hiding avoiding gens more than usual.... Probably because they hope the killer will abandon the match after 10min

I used to love chaos mode but it’s back for the first day and already it’s the same stuff.

Killers come in, get perks they don’t like so they just tunnel camp slug everyone out because they’re so reliant on their perks they don’t know how to play without them. So it’s tunnel for the 4K.

Survivors come in, don’t get their favorite exhaustion perks so the minute they go down in chase they give up on hook or DC.

If people are so reliant on their perks that you can’t play without them go play the regular mode. Why are you in chaos mode? I don’t get it.

To be fair survivors DC and go next in regular mode pretty often anyway so I don't think the event would have much impact on that.

I don't like chaos mode and won't play it but I can see the appeal for killers and survivors. the only way killers can win without the right perks is indeed tunnel and with survivors having random perks there is less anti tunnel perks the killer needs to worry about.

I suppose survivors can gen rush without worry of regress perks because the chances of a killer getting them is pretty slim and survivors can still bring toolboxes.

  • I honestly don't know why survivors didnt like the event, they basically got what they asked for. 1. Faster gens/no regress perks from killers. 2. Something more engaging that sitting on a gen pressing the occasional skill check which almost everyone thinks is boring.

Personally I enjoyed it as both killed and survivor. More so as killer because BP was way better for killer and I don't really run regression perks as killer so that aspect didn't really hinder me as much as it did for other people. And also because ghoul was ruining it for a long time when I played survivor.

This is my issue as well. I understand if you were letting them bleed out, but that's not what's happening. There should be at least some buffer time for you to hook before they're all able to instantly abandon and force you to stay with bots till the end.

This would be the equivalent of if killers were allowed to instantly abandon as soon as the last gen pops. However if the survivors abandon then, then it doesn't give them the mmr win, so they're forced to stay and play out the rest of the match with a bot killer. That would be a terrible experience as well.

It's not much of a big deal because bots can be handy for farming BP but I do think a buffer would be better. Maybe have the abandon option available if there is definitively no way of getting back up (no DS in play, no unbreakable or totem, survivor on 2nd hook stage). Still not very satisfying to down the last person and then have to hook a bot but its better than people abandoning instantly when there is a way to recover and continue the match.

Or give survivors the equivalent to a hook timer, when that time expires they can abandon, this would make more sense being as the abandon feature was designed to help people get out of a match that the killer is intentionally leaving everyone slugged for 4min. It was not intended to give people the option to leave the match the second they get downed so they don't have to see out the end of the match.

100h.. maybe a bit more? mostly with legion. I also watch my boyfriend play killer

If i play killer i'm way too nice tho, i suffer so much on solo q, so i hate giving other survivors a bad game. I do like when i find survivors that know how to play, especially ones that teabag >:3.

My suggestion is spend a lot more time with killer. Each killer is different so the counter to them is different. Maybe spend 50 hours on each killer? The only reason I say this is because you said you haven't noticed skill improvement since 100 hours and your currently 1000 hours. I found playing as the killers I was struggling to counter as survivor helped me learn to counter them and increased my escape rate a lot. There is only so much I could learn doing the 1 role. Same applies to killers that struggle against survivors.

Now I main Myers and pyramid head but originally I was survivor main and I just couldn't counter PH with that attack that goes through walls and pallets... I would lose every time. After playing PH for a while and maining him I can counter him as survivor a lot easier.

  • @francesinhalover said:

let me see if i understand. after having a event where i could finaly win sometimes because i didn't have to do 5 gens vs sweaty TOXIC killers. now i need to go back to normal dbd and lose 11-15 games before i can win 1 or 2?… man im not sure i can do it.

I would still lose 6-7 matches of blood moon with survivor before i won one, but at least it was fast and easier.

At least i earned some bp man. why bp so low when there's so many characters and killers in this game? i don't get it. Am i supposed to play without good addons has survivor so i lose even more? Wont even touch shards because those are more rare than my wins.

After 1000 hours i'm not sure i can keep going on. i havent noticed any pogress in my player skill since 100 hrs.

Meanwhile killers keep getting buffed. Now i never see a win vs myers or ghostface, yet ppl still want them more buffed so screw me i guess. And legion bro… the killers weak yet he always wins in my solo q's. Good stuff.

the maps i try to learn are eventually removed, There's also way too many map variation and i can't even have fun with perks because i need lithe, windows and dejavu every game.

And god forbid the game tells me how to play vs a killer, i am forced to watch otzdarva to learn anything. Not that it matters when it's one shot perks like devour hope, starstruck, stealth perks everygame to give killers easy kills vs survivors that aren't pro at the game. Idk why these perks are even a thing.

So idk man… It's just feeling bad right now not having blood moon anymore.

And i'm not excited at all for chaos shuffle. I'll still lose almost every game but now i don't have windows or a exhaustion perk.

how are you survivor mains managing atm? not the ones with swfs that are pro loopers. like the average survivors? You excited to have to deal with ghoul every game on normal matches? I'm honestly tired of this killer already, but ill take him anyday to huntress.

Out of curiosity how many hour have you put into killer?

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3918583#Comment_3918583

yes because it triggers in scenarios where everyone is down(pure slugged across the board) or hooked mix of the two. Whether or not it’s a bot the last 5 seconds of the game on the down isn’t going going to mess with mmr for you as killer. The player just said “nope I don’t want to see the Mori again” basically and you’re going to Mori the bot instead. Anything that means all players are “out of commission” triggers abandon. It’s pretty strict on the survivor end for when it allows it, and if they abandon it still counts as a loss for them(but they were losing anyways).

Don’t just take my word for it though, go play survivor and see for yourself.

the bots that remain can end up jumping off the hook or using unbreakable to get back up. 1 second its clear cut 4k, all players abandon and turn to bots. The next min a bot is somehow up and running around possibly unhooking other bots or heading for hatch (which has happened to me). IV even had a bot use DS on me when I'm picking up seconds after the survivor abandoned. I've had a few matches like that so I wouldn't say it's that strict. It would be nice to know if MMR is effected for killer in these situations. Does it get effected if killer abandons when all are bots? Does it get effected if a bot escapes the hatch? Is it worth wasting time playing with bots?

On a side note, survivors can skip the mori/hook animation because they want to save time and don't want to see it again... Personally I would like the same for killer. An option to abandon when all gens are done and everyone is at the gate so I don't have to waste time going to the exit to force them out and seeing the t bagging again.

  • As others have said flashbangs are useful mid chase to aid in losing line of sight. I know this concept is lost on many survivors but the game isn't just about looping a singular pallet, it's about losing line of sight so that survivor being chased can lose the killer and get back to doing what they are supposed to be doing (gens) instead of allowing themselves to be tunneled out. A good use is turn a corner, drop the flash bang, when killer follows round the corner they get blinded. That's the time survivors can get killers to lose the trail on the survivor.

Indeed the option for survivor to abandon is instant when last survivor is downed. I've had many matches where 2 remain, I downed one and the other was right next to them so I downed them both. I don't even have enough time to put 1 of them on hook before they turn into bots.

The fact that killers can run four aura perks including addons is honestly a major crutch and a pain.

You're already making it so survivors can't run more than one exhausted perk, so why not give survivors this? You nerfed distortion into the ground and it gave the stealthy survivors literally no counter to any of this.

If you don't make it so they can only run one aura perk can maybe make it so they have a long cooldown or something?

Killers need a way to deal with swf... Swf basically have full aura reading via the use of coms so they all know where the killer is without needing any perks. killer needs to use up perk slots to get this sort of level of aura reading, you rather it basekit like swf have?

  • It matters when people start tanking their MMR to be put in lobbies with new players. Any decent experienced player will want to keep mmr up to avoid going against new players and ruining the experience for them.

  • To be fair I play soloq now and then and I don't have any issues. It's rare I'm tunneled (I go prepared to handle it), it's rare I'm slugged for long periods of time. The only issue I have had recently has been constantly going against an OP ghoul. Other than that I don't see much of an issue. I have even found a way recently to handle the go nexters to my benefit. It's just unfortunate that survivor gameplay is generally boring (sitting on gens being the main objective) or I would happily play survivor more.

  • It would be fitting for the way survivors play, running in circles around a pallet with a killer chasing behind for ages.

1 2 3 4 … 18
