I’ve played her aggressively with decent success. I really don’t think this is a nerf. Played right, I think she could be a monster in chase with these changes.

will give him a look as i thought he only played one specific killer haha
He did. Now he plays 2!

Truly a bizzare change when so many perks could use changes. I have doubts about how often the balance team plays Killer in pub matches.

I'd add more:
Naymetti - great survivor looper, explains his every move and decision, very chill.
RedsGamingGears - killer that always explain tactic and decision making, very helpful
Greyletters - chill funny dude, nothing educational though
SAOGonza - chill Artist main
Negoose - chill Plague/Hag main
One Pump Willie - well, you know which main he is :)
Michi - super skilled Hag main, extremely educational for Hag enjoyers
Snorlaxt / LittleSpaceRock - chill cute girls, former one can be educational
About ones mentioned before:
Truetalent complains a lot. I cannot stand the grown up man constantly complainng like snotty 10 yo kid. He is nostopping about unfair life for killer.
Scott Jund is a funny little guy, but definetely not the greatest player, could be watched just for fun, definetely not taking for granted all his "know-it-all" "podcasts", or you'll be haunted by "disgusting Hag music" or "terrible Knight design".
King Wolfie 2 - not chill, angry (trying to appear) and camp/tunnel a lot.
Willie now appears to main Skully as well. Cool to see him play her aggressively and not just kick gens.

I don't own her but from watching gameplay footage, I think that's the indicator that one of your drones has returned to you after a survivor has disabled it.
Exactly.
Happy to answer any questions about her power. I've spent too long figuring it out.
-
You also lose the light’s original purpose of telling you if you could place a drone. It was green if you could, red if you had a drone and couldn’t (too close to another drone or hooked Survivor), and off if you had no drones.
-
@Caiman said:
That sounds less useful when there's already a cooldown timer on the HUD itself, being able to know where you can put a drone sounds more helpful.
I’m not sure how I feel about it yet. The HUD cooldown for drone activation is only seen when she looks at the radar, so it’s not apparent by default. The new way the light works now allows you to keep more drones active. It is good information, not sure if it is worth losing drone placement info though.
Now you have rely on the prompts to know if you can place a drone. Maybe they could have added a 3rd light but her basekit power is already one of the most complicated it the game. Also I would love if they took the duct tape off the remote.
-
There is no noise notification and Survivor auras are hard to see on gens, even if you know to look.

@Mandy said:
As we showed previously the kill rates were in the area that we wanted them to be. The recently QoL updates for Survivor - namely the HUD, is being kept a close eye on. If at any point we find that this has caused things to sway in the other direction, we will obviously make adjustments then. However, we did not promise any buffs to killers right now.
That’s how the game is balanced? You focus on kill rates. It makes sense because how people FEEL playing the game doesn’t seem to be a focus. I would rather die in an intense game against Wesker (remarkably designed) than spend 40 minutes to escape against Skull Merchant.

Oof. This reaction is so strong I can practically feel it pimp slapping me in the face. It's weird how many us v them posts y'all force into forums. Almost like it's an agenda atp
I only see one side DCing regularly. It’s a fact. To consider it “us vs them” dismisses the issue.

^ this is correct. The message displayed means nothing anymore outside of adepts.
I thought pipping meant nothing and it was about MMR. Really getting mixed messages. This shouldn’t be an issue regardless.

@Kalevi said:
Can we just agree that the balance need to be completely changed for both sides?
Survivors shouldn't be able to end games so fast.
Killers shouldn't be able to prolong matches for too long.
How about we establish a consensus? Matches only take 8-15 minutes long. Searching for matches, not readying up and loading takes longer than an actual gen rushing match but disconnecting 5 times in a row is shorter than an hour long 3 gen defending match.
Rework all the gen perks, items and addons. Change the maps and gen placements. Rework the gens. BNP need to be removed.
You are talking about a group of devs who still let Myers run out of stalk and still make Trapper collect his traps. An overhaul like this will probably never happen.
-
Wesker. The constant tension of whether he will use Bound is great. He can make you think twice about paths you would take against most other Killers. And of course, his chase music.

I tried to play non 3-gen Skull Merchant, trying to go for hooks and not tunnel.
Idk but I don't think Survivors much appreciate it at all. One Survivor even said to me "fair?" (like "you are playing fair?"). That's what you get I quess for trying to play nice.
They don't appreciate much of anything. Sadly BHVR has to keep the softness of the Survivor crowd in mind. They didn't here.

There’s not a lot of people who want to play a 30 minute game trying to break a 3 gen against a killer who won’t chase.

It’s down across the board. None of the Twitch streamers can play.

get it together
The 100 people that complain here and the 20 on twitter don't come close to the people that really play the game and will keep playing whatever.
Most of the people who comment here don't even play the game regularly anymore. Just read the comments.
Just suck it up and wait for the next one.
They must love when people take whatever they are given.

The mechanic of constantly being pestered by chains is the opposite of fun. Really makes he question the design team.

Screams are now only heard in a small radius of 19m. If I misread I would appreciate a correction.

Why would it need to balanced? It would be straight for fun.
We don't do that here.
-
It's a fun idea but would exponentially increase the complexity of balancing the game.

Honestly, I do not see the point in running Myers over a Killer like Ghostface since Ghostface has built in stealth (with Undetectable) and 60 second Exposed similar to Myers, and has the ability to get downs more consistently. I think Myers just needs something a bit extra to help them stand out but also make them seem more threatening.
I personally think Myers should have some changes to help him out:
- Base Exposed duration increased from 60 seconds to 80 seconds.
- The amount of stalk that is needed to reach Tier 2 Evil Within has been decreased by 30%.
- The base amount of stalk that can be pulled from a Survivor is doubled.
- When a Survivor is fully stalked, they become mori-able.
- Reworked tombstone addons (decreases the base amount of stalk needed to pull before a Survivor becomes mori-able, but mori becomes only applicable to a limited amount of Survivors based on addon rarity); rework other addons (stalk speed addons also increase the total amount of stalk that can be pulled from a Survivor, providing some sort of drawback and benefit); etc.
I actually love the idea of being able to Mori after fully stalked. Perhaps he has small window to do it before the stalk meter resets completely. Would need to be balanced so it is not easy to do but has Suvivors on edge.

The drones are quite literally camping machines. Prepare to miss Knight 3 gens.

No, I subjectively think Legion is the most fun killer. Objectively, flashlights are among the weakest items. Just because they were buffed (to make the timing on flashlight saves easier btw) doesn't mean they rival the strength of toolboxes or medkits. You also use a subjective opinion about the killers I enjoy instead of actually addressing the point. Redditor moment.
Not subjective to say many people find Pinhead and Legion irritating to go against, more than most Killers. Not much more enjoyable than constantly breaking chains and mending.
-
Some tweaks here and there would be nice. Let the Trapper start with his traps. Give the Clown an extra default bottle or give pink and yellow separate supplies. It’s not unreasonable to try stuff like this an see how it goes. Might make the PTB worth something.

Why don't you play survivor then?
Maybe they don’t want to play soloQ. Other option is to maintain a SWF which can be it’s own headache.
-
They need to buff his M2 chains and nerf THE BOX. Games against Pinheads using Franklin’s and Hoarder are miserable.

OG freddy player, moved to legion afterward freddy was reworked and I now play Pinhead and Wesker. Flashlights are objectively the worst item in the game, and using them at pallets genuinely hurt the survivor more than help. Simple headphones, even earbuds, just allow you to follow footsteps after breaking the pallet if you are still blind and they gain no distance. It takes SO little effort to improve your killer gameplay against flashlights, and nothing screams immature child more than getting upset at flashlights for being mean even after they got changed to be less toxic (no more macro clicks).
Gonna assume you also don't like basekit borrowed time because it is evil or something? Survivors bad killer good? Is that more your cup of tea?
Old Freddy, Legion, and Pinhead. Seems like you play the most aggravating Killers. Flashlights are subjectively the worst item in the game according to you. It doesn't become objective just because you think it. Also they were recently buffed, you seem to have ignored that part.
The only thing I don't like about basekit borrowed time is how long it took to implement.

It's pretty niche, but if you want to use it to deny flashlights, sure. There's nothing wrong with it, save for being rather underpowered. Blowing an entire perk slot to deal with flashlights is like bombing an entire state to fire up your backyard grill. It's your perk slot, though, put whatever you want in there.
You are being more than a bit hyperbolic, but glad we are on the same page.
-
What do they want you to do? Be miserable while they have their fun doing it. Just imagine their discord chats while they blind and stun you. Play accordingly.

Victored Survivors are already Oblivious. Hysteria would only afflict other, already injured Survivors and maybe many the first one's Oblivious linger after removal.
Probably going to have tossed Vic off by the time Charlotte gets there, enter Hysteria.

I've been a killer main for almost 6 years now and it is honestly refreshing to hear that some killers still suffer from flashlights at pallets that do nothing and also give the survivor less time to run away.
Genuinely do not understand the mindset, just take a break from video games for a while if the worst item in the game still upsets you, and the only criticism you could receive could only be "heavy flashlight users"
”killer main.” Not buying it.

You have over 1,000 posts. How is it possible you've involved in these forums that much and can still claim that's not a thing?
It’s a straw man for something nuanced. If you are referring to Killers who think they may be high MMR and don’t want to be there because they are miserable, I don’t think that counts. Perhaps you are interpreting it as bragging.

Won't happen. People need the ego boost of say "IM IN HIGH MMR" and also the excuse for why they lose "IT WAS BECAUSE THESE HIGH MMR TEAMS ARE UNBEATABLE!"
This is not a thing. I have never seen a Killer brag about being high MMR and that their games were too tough.
-
@MrMori said:
The old clicking was toxic, but after the changes, I disagree.
They're blinding you at pallets because because it throws you off and helps them in chase. If they get a save, that feels awful, but you have to pay attention to flashlights in lobby. Also, especially if they've flashlight saved on you earlier in the match, you have to pay attention to not let it happen again. Don't take it personally.
Use lightborn if you have a problem with it.
I do run Lightborn. Unfortunately (or fortunately) there are a lot of DCs when they see their iri bulb can’t antagonize me.

it really is, first of all because it means the survivor is still in my vicinity so i can get more chase in, and second because i love using cues other than seeing the survivor in order to track them, and being forced into a situation where that's the only option is fun. its why i also enjoy playing spirit so much, triangulating an injured survivor and downing them directly out of phase feels so gratifying
I can’t help but see a Nea wearing a Trapper mask reading your post.
-
Nights on EST are almost all sweaty SWF. I just assume I am going against them, Lightborn is a god send. Even if you don’t see flashlights, you can expect flashbangs and/or blast mines.
-
I think it is fair to give people one tantrum a day with the one min penalty. This game can be pretty distressing sometimes for both sides. It ramps up quickly so serial DCers are deterred.
