Push through it or use DS to become the Obsession.
Yeah, so killer can hook the previous obsession and get more tokens lol

Yep. Killers hate SWF but they don't understand solo is literally awful and the experience gets worse every patch. I think it's because they only play survivor when they're with their friends. In terms of Difficulty Solo<<<<<Killer= 2 Man SWF < 3 man SWF << 4 man SWF.
I play solo pal and I feel you. Im bad survivor rank 10 my max (not a pro on loops) but as I said on my previous post killer have to suffer whole match me as surv sometimes i have a nice chase.

@Claudette_Baguette said:
While playing killer is a miserable experience at rank 1 there's one thing I despise more than that. SOLO SURVIVOR.
I have 3000+ hours in this game (killer and survivor player 50/50) and the amount of STUPID survivors at rank 1 is unbelievable.
This just happened to me: One survivor gets grabbed off a totem with thrill of the hunt against a pig, where you have plenty of time to react when she stands up and you know she sees that you cleanse a totem. Then they dc before you can unhook them because yeah its the killer fault you play badly and YOU entitled piece of ... DC because of that. Second guy gets downed immediately, kills themselves on the hook. Then there's me who jukes the killer for legit 5 mins because the killer decides to tryhard. I wonder what the last guy is doing all this time, I mean he could have finished the last 4 gens by that time. I get hooked, last guy does nothing, I see him in a corner crouching waiting for me to die so he can get hatch.
I derank for that.
That's just one of many examples of how BAD solo survivor is. Random survivors don't unhook you, let you get to struggle phase, DC all the time, kill themselves on hook, don't do gens, hide all game, unhook in front of killer to farm you etc.
SWF and a competent team (well I don't demand survivors that are PRO players that know everything in this game and play perfectly, at least a team that's not STUPID) makes things so much better, so much more chill, etc. Just having survivors that don't DC immediately, unhook you in front of the killer or do other stupid ######### makes this game a lot better. Just NORMAL survivors that try to win and play well for their team.
I don't know why the devs don't take hours played into consideration for their matchmaking. I don't want to get matched up with other survivors with 130 hours in this game at rank 1, with their rank 18 SWF friend and another guy who does nothing because he is scared of the terror radius. Also, finally don't punish me if other survivors DC which makes me lose ranks as a survivor (killer too!).
I would say its killer playing if you see ur team sucks you can commit sepukku on the hook while killers have to suffer stress minimum 6 mins
-
Best advise:"Wait for rework"
-
Thst would make surs to really do all totems and of course they will complain so hard

I honestly believe if you've looped the killer enough time to Bloodlust you, hit you twice then carry you to a hook and hook you, you've successfully wasted enough time for the rest of the team to get some of the objective done.
You've done your part.
But in regards to Bloodlust as a mechanic....it's a touchy subject. I'm a Nurse main so I've never benefited from Bloodlust and I've only been playing Huntress for about a month now and her Bloodlust disappears once she throws a Hatchet, so I don't really benefit from it either.
Some killers like Deathslinger's Bloodlust doesn't go away even if he misses a shot, he can just reload and continue his hunt WITH Bloodlust on. I would say some killer's Bloodlust should be looked at. It's not fair to have a killer that benefits from Bloodlust even after missing his shot.
You are right bloodlust finish once ypu hit a survivor so if your hatchet doesnt hit a survivor you should keep with bloodlust :)

The solutions that players have made have been pretty unliked in the community. While some players on both sides are toxic, a lot of strategies that get called toxic are often times players "adapting" to underlying issues in the game itself. The reason SWF was introduced in the first place was because survivors would queue dodge constantly until they got paired with their friends.
That doesnt change the fact that they didnt balanced SWF in the game.

forcing swf in a game thats supposed to be about surviving as an individual, right.
If devs made it wrong by adding SWF option without a proper balance now players need to find a solution for them as they had years to fix it

So survivors who do not wish to participate in voice chat should be horribly punished? What if I don't want to listen to children complaining or people playing loud music or other similar situations?
The game was designed to be played in silence apart from the in game audio. And also a humidifier to make the room all foggy and spooky.
Play with your friends so,its the best solution if not the other solution I see to use a omni aura system for survivors. Or message system that like saying im repairing

Hawkins is the most survivor sided map in the game imo.
0 hooks on the second floor
3 pallets in every single hallway and 2 pallets in every room
And with the huge debris everywhere it is impossible to play efficiently as oni and Billy.
If you dont think this map is survivor sided your not past rank 15.
Hakwin is balanced map pal dont fight for it

So there are several issues with adding a voice chat that the devs have mentioned previously as reasons for why they're not going to:
-People have conditions like anxiety which make them unwilling to talk to other strangers. I know a friend like that who couldn't speak to me for our first 2 voice call sessions because their brain was like "Lol nope" and had to be comfortable before they could speak around me.
-People can be mute
-Trolls exists
-Muting people works to stop them being annoying but then you miss out on the information later and sometimes the damage is done already.
The issue about anxiety is an special case, surely there are people with prob that doesnt allow to use voice chat (very few in my opinion. You mute someone becuz is trolling in case he stop being having bad behaviour tell to the other to tell you when he stopped.
Im sorry but for me the best solution is voicechat and any excuse that devs will say I will gladly disarm it.

Ds should desactivate if you:
-Cleanse a totem.
-Repair a gen
-Heal other
-Killer hook another player
-Any killer belonging like clock, cleansing fountain, trap etc...

Make the teammate aura reading part of Kindred basekit. This would make blindness effects or The Third Seal more valuable as you know you'd be cutting off vital aura reading.
Kindred would allow you to see the aura of the killer within a certain range of the hook and give you 50% more BP in the altruism category (I believe that's the one, I don't play survivor enough to know the category names specify).
Give survivors an indicator each that shakes when being chased, the Obsessions indicator looks the same as it does now. Standard indicator would just be a circle around the player icon.
Totem counter beside the generator counter. Not only would this be valuable information for countering a perk like NOED, but it would encourage survivors to do totems more. It also lets you know how many totems you're looking for if a Hex totem is currently up.
The survivors icon will glow red when they are healing.
The survivors icon will glow yellow when doing a generator or exit gate open.
Honestly, as a killer main, I don't see changes like that breaking the game, it would just give solo survivors more tools to work more efficiently on their own or together. For SWF, it would change almost nothing.
In my opinion those changes are not really useful as yes he is healing but where? The voice chat would cover all of that if one survivor is talking poop just mute him

If the killer killed 3 survivors AND found the hatch first, you don't deserve to win. Simple as that.
It would be pretty unfair we have to find the hatch and then you wish killers being 20 secs walk between each other? One more chance to escape?

Duration and Speed addons and then just tail the killer as they chase another survivor around a loop. Stop making these sound impossible. Not every game is gonna consist of survivors playing optimally and not every game has a 200 IQ killer.
Thats a good idea but the thing is we need a timer at least that tell us

70 is fine

@DwightOP said:
Now, I was THE ONE survivor in solo Q Team who was really careful with pallets. I threw down average 2 pallets per game. Why? Because I HAD TO be very efficient with them. My mates are usually straight up trash and burn down 5 pallets in under 1 minute, otherwise they die instantly.
Now, with only 7 pallets per map... Yeah gg devs, rip solo Q. Game is dead for me. I was already burned out. But I'm not even considering to come back anymore after these PTB reports of the community. U messed up.
Its a way to make survivor rank more hard as killers.
-
@xEa said:
I am on the PTB right now, and all i can say is: Is this a little late april fools joke?? It has to be, right?
First game i play: Gas Heaven
There is 1 (ONE) single pallet on the whole middle of the map! One!
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/230/4H3MVCDIRVWD.jpg
The rest of it is a deadzone with absolutly nothing but here and there some trash!
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/101/KAWZ4X5O95AK.jpg
1 Pallet in the garage
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/235/17S8ZEX379VI.jpg
1 more pallet between killershack and deadzone
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/673/KZ4WVS1QIRA6.jpg
4 Jungle Gyms with 1 pallet each
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/384/6O5O0ZJKTNHG.jpg
And the Killer shack pallet.
8 pallets on the whole map. Are we good? I mean, ARE WE GOOD? I honestly have to ask without sarkasm. Have you forgot to add the pallets in those silly big deadzones and the silly big middle of the map (2 gens by the way... 1 pallet... )
This is even worse then i have expected, and i thought it will be aweful.
2Nd Game: Gas Heaven again
This time i count 7 pallets! And most of them are even weaker then before.
3rd Game: Thompson House
I am already really frustrated, so i stopped counting pallets but it looks like more or less the same ammount. All i can say at this point is that the map looks really really aweful, even worse then the old thompson house. It feels squeezed, not well designed at all.
I might try out a few more games after a break, but if this goes on like Thompson and Gas Heaven.. ahhm well... good luck with your next game devs. At least you know how you killed it.
Well being in the middle looping between pallets its not funny for killer now pallets will be a resource u cant throw to the rubbish... I think is fair, long map less pallets...

Do...do you not read the title. He’s asking which licensed killers (that maybe less known) would you like in DbD. So I grabbed some Villian info from Wiki (for those who don’t know the series) and then gave my idea and how I like for him to work. What does your reply suppose to prove? :/
Too long for reading I mean you could say its a killer that blablabla (but just 4-5 sentences) not a bible 😅

copy/pasted that. Downside is I feel he might be too much like Ghostface since they have the same primary weapon. I think his 2 most iconic traits are his traps and his habit of leaving 1 alive. Try creating a killer that might use traps but is mostly a m1 killer like trapper. Then his gimmick is that he can choose to go to any hooked survivor and spend a certain amount of time torturing them. Obviously the hook timer would stop. The torture could either negatively effect the survivor (like broken status) or power up the killer or better yet, unlock more tools. Honestly my ideal version of This Killer would use 5 different traps. 1 base trap and 1 other trap unlocked after each survivor is hooked once and tortured. I know that’s asking for too much :D
This look like a description from wikipedia of a villain not really frpm DBD

Your job as killer is to please the entity. If you ever bothered to see emblem break down you see that tunneling a survivors hurts your score BIG TIME. You can pip up not killing anyone as long as you exhaust every hook, chase, and palette.
That could be on lower ranks but not on red ranks maybe hooking everyone twice and good gameplay you could pip

I have never read the words "boring" combined with any Killer on your list beside Freddy. For Freddy it is simply the braindead playstyle - sleep mechanic is boring (but sadly the best way to implement it) and if Freddy is reverse-bloodlusting with Snares, this is simply boring. And a lot of Freddys are doing it.
dont forget about being jumping from safe pallet to safe pallet. I think that if they made most pallet unsafe like on Strangers things map on big maps like coldwind farm it would be somehow fairer if not fair.
Im main killer but im rank 8 surv, and I get fun by trying to juke the killer rather than m1ing.

Reworked to be stronger??
You used to need to wiggle until 30% if you weren't the obcesion
Now you don't
This rework is needed for a fair balance
Fair Balance for DS would be if you are 20 secs out of killer TR its desactivate and multiuse. If you start repair a gen, cleanse a totem or any interaction except vault desactivate it.

Anything that isn't a mermaid would work. A kelpie is a water spirit that takes the form of a black horse. The devs have already said they won't do non humanoid killers due to the cost to make a new skeleton. Anything that is humanoid like the vampire I mentioned would work.
ce! Minumum effort law! Lets just copy paste to save even more money

I was really done, I just wanted to let them escape and go to the next game but they were STILL hiding. So when I found them I just straight up killed them and then they insulted me in the chat for beeing a hearthless ######### and I should kill myself.
Take your katana and commit seppuku for tunneling. I just started to care of my fun and you know? Feels great to ignore their barking

I already brought up an idea for noed by not making it a hex perk but a totem count perk instead.
- Once the final generator is complete noed activates. Noed has a base time of 60 seconds.
- For every totem that’s unbroken when noed activates, noed receives an additional 10/15/20 seconds.
basically this change makes it on the survivors for how powerful noed will be. it rewards survivors for cleansing but at the same time still giving the killer a chance for a comeback.
So you want killers to protect totens plus gens? I love that joke.

I really have more fun with Oni but my advise would be to wait for the Archives and choose it according it

but of course, YOUR fun is MUCH more importaant than the fun of the other 4...
sorry, but its because of people like you why i cant stand playing solo survivor anymore.
I love the part of your fun is more important than the fun of 4 people :)

DS, BT and all those other survivor perks that killers complain about are FINE. If used as intended. It's just that now killers are starting to take advantage of the devs' generosity when it comes to camping and tunnelling that survivors have now started to retaliate in order to deal with these tactics.
This is a community problem more than it is a game balance problem.
DS is not fine BT is fine but people use to to abuse endurance to protect the other survivor.

i give hatch to whoever i want - and more often than not i will go for the 4k, believe me.
though if a survivor has really good stealth play or when i dominated the whole team and they 4%ed / multiple DCed early on, i will definitely consider being a nice player and giving them hatch.
cause i totally understand the frustration the survivors are feeling when their teammates ragequit or when they are so bad that i get 3 of them downed by the time the one decent dude got the first gen done.
and yeah i am someone who actually respects the stealth play - and i mean really good stealth play. like, the dude i spot with BBQ and then just never see cause he somehow snuck past me every time.
stealth players dont have to be bad players. i usually play quite stealthy as a survivor - cause if the killer cant spot me they cant kill me or stop me from progressing the objective. yet that doesnt mean i wouldnt know how to run a killer around or that i would just sit in one corner 24/7 doing nothing. i am usually the one progressing the objective and going for hooksaves when my team constantly gets found.
i feel like many underestimate stealth play...
If a player dc at the beginning of game I dont really give hatch but rathet being more benevolent.

Do you know how ridiculous it is to hear people yabber on about the devs having a favourite? It's conspiracies at it's finest, this game doesn't work without both sides being able to win, and currently both sides can do pretty freaking well, or pretty freaking miserably. It's killers being lazy at this point, killers used to spend 100s of hours on one killer and perfect them, now killers only want to spend 30 hours and be perfect with every killer with little to no time investment on their part.
Survivors only needs one skill type because all survivors are a skin, killers all have unique powers and are vastly different, it makes perfect sense for a survivor with 1000 hours to play better than a killer who has 2000 hours all split up across 17 killers.
The sole reason to still not balance SWF in a game that DEVS said were not made for comms plus maps design (that they are fixing) just tell which side is the favorite 🤷🏻♂️
-
Balance:
Maps
SWF

I've definitely played more survivor than killer. I don't agree that you should be able to open a exit gate slugged. But I do agree being slugged is boring. So boring that just as I have a choice to die on hook, I should have a choice to "bleed out" if I want. I shouldn't be forced to lie on the ground for several minutes. I hate those killers that continue to re-slug you over and over and/or those that slug the next to last guy sweating for the 4K. It's boring. It's a waste of my time. I don't mind "losing". I do mind wasting 5 minutes doing nothing.
That would be a free dc tech for hatch
-
@BulletsNonstop said:
If killers want to leave you there to stomp on the hatch and collect points that contribute to their 30K match total while survivors come out with half that then that’s just broken survivors have to just bleed out and wait for that. Slugging needs to be reworked so there’s a threat level there. Killers need more pressure than that.
Would you be aggree that if u get slugged you can stand up but you lose one of your hooks so if you were hooked one you get slugged and recovered you get sacrificed?

I play both roles but mainly killer 90% due to:
As solo you can get competent players or not.
As killer you are responsible of your own fails.
As killer I have the sensation of being the role who is always having fun most of the time cuz as survivor maybe killer doesnt pursue you.
