Can’t wait for everyone to start complaining about sprint burst right after (Though thank god dead hard is finally getting what it deserves)
-
Because I need BBQ BP
-
Overcome has much less versatility since you have to be healthy or have endurance to use it. SB can be used at any time so long as you’re not exhausted. SB is also better vs instadown killers like Bubba and killers with low cooldown like huntress

The counterplay is crouching but I know what you mean. It can be rough if the player chooses to play that way.
Not really when she can just teleport on demand. Even then the add on has no downsides if you know how to use it besides not being able to scroll wheel (which shouldn’t really be a thing anyway)

I have not seen a mint rag Hag since 2017. It is a hard addon to manage and requires a different playstyle. It is very easy to teleport to the wrong trap just like with Dredge and lockers.
I use her aggressively by just trapping dead zones randomly. A team with a dedicated harasser with a flashlight can make her life difficult though.
My problem is that it makes camping insanely easy if survivors don’t have flashlights. The only counterplay to that situation is an item which should never be the case imo
-
Hag is easily a top 5 killer and if anything needs some add ons nerfed (mint rag)
-
Damn trickster’s new album is going to be pure snoring instead of screaming

Yeah I guess the rather silent TR startup is a fair critisism - I wouldn't have minded them increasing the volume on that a bit (especially for non headphone users I can see this being an issue)
And honestly, I would even go as far as to call him one of the most well balanced Killers in the whole game. He used to be the only character I looked at and thought he needed neither nerfs nor buffs whatsoever (excluding Add Ons - as you said those were rather bad), which made the nerf he received feel so much more like a slap in the face.
Yeah to me he almost seemed like a balanced character. He had little counterplay in chase but was actually punished heavily for missing (unlike nurse or spirit) and really struggled with map control. And compared to trickster he felt more satisfying to counter and play as imo
I really had no issue with him which is saying something when I hate basically all mid range anti loop killers like artist, PH and nemmy

Honestly, I don't think he needed that either.
Getting shot from outside the TR was something the Killer had very little influence over and if it did happen it was a direct result of a misplay from the Survivor side (starts with simple things like not seeing the tall cowboy pointing his gun at you in the distance or hearing the loud bell ring in your ears and went all the way to not having good positioning / Killer tracking).
Not to mention that, as you mentioned yourself, the Killer had to bring Monitor & Abuse AND a tracking Perk that would allow them to locate the Survivors from far away (e.g. A Nurses Calling) just to make this a possibility. So not only was it inconsistent and could be accounted for (and therefore avoided) by Survivors, but it also had a high price for the Killer to pay.
He was in such a good balance spot - but as we all know, balanced = boring, so they gutted him.
The main issue to me was MaA combined with his naturally quiet TR startup. Add that with his old quickscope and it could get pretty annoying. Other than that he was actually really balanced imo (except his awful add ons for the most part)
-
I don’t understand how the devs thoughts straight up nerfing him was a good call. All he needed was a 28M lullaby to stop moniter being too good on him
He’s literally harder than nurse for like 1/10th of the reward for getting good with him
-
Just leave the loop once he puts a remanent down. Also only lock 1 locker in a group of 2 since it forces him into the locked one
-
I’m back from about a 4 month break as well. Honestly really enjoying the game again and can’t wait until the perk balance mid chapter
-
Yeah you could say an FOV slider would be an advantage but I’d rather that then having people forced to run a perk
-
yeah it seemed weird you couldn’t move on after doing your contribution. The first challenge might not even get done tbh
-
For some reason both sides see 500% bp as a chance to get as little use out of it as possible. It’s really strange tbh
-
Getting stunned and breaking pallets aren’t really poor plays in fact most the time they are good options. The injured challenge with iron will also makes sense
-
The prestige overhaul is coming this mid chapter as far as I know. Too bad it won’t really help new players as much as it helps experienced ones
-
Nah. I’d rather save them for a new chapter I like. Still have 96 of last year’s ones on Jane
-
Tbf RPD is pure pain for both sides and besides the main building dead dawg is pretty killer sided

I agree when I played Friday I thought she was not a good character but after playing her I realized she’s ######### godly. She’s S tier on counselor rankings. She’s the dead hard of f13 the game
Yeah I honestly felt bad using her. She’s basically a crutch for people who can’t run Jason well. Fox main all the way!

It'd certainly be neat! I think the departure from killer chase tracks being different than survivor chase tracks is a bit of a bummer - I really dig situations where the killer perceives things differently from their victims, even in non-diegetic ways.
Yeah since Oni wanted to kill the fake samurai it feels fitting for his POV theme to be war like and almost heroic in a sense. His normal one feels more threatening and monstrous which suits the survivors POV better

Cool, I like it. 🙂
Yeah it seems weird for bhvr to get rid of a perfectly good track tbh

In home sweet home, 4 or 5 free survivors. There is a survivor name "Jane" that have the best perk "Full health in 2nd life"
In that game, a survivor start with 100% health (each has different hp), when they die, they can be revived only once for 2nd life, but they will have 50% health. That game has only 2 "Medkit" that bring back to full health per match. Means only 2 survivors can only get to full health on 2nd life. Which is why Jane is the most used survivor.
There is a survivor who has low healthy and stamina, but "do Gen" faster. Always requires someone else to go with, or will die fast. In a game that 4v1, spread out is always the best play. Plus the "Medkit" brings to full health, its a waste to use "Medkit" for 50hp survivor instead of 200hp. Which make this survivor the least choice.
Well I guess Jane is the best survivor in dbd and home sweet home then :)
F13th was similar having certain survivors excel at repairing while others at running and some at combat. You could make all of them work but some were just better options mainly Vanessa (looping) AJ (stealth + objectives) and fox (combat)
-
Sorry for making you uncomfortable I guess?
-
The main building is literally house of pain 2.0. How the devs haven’t figured out map design in 6 years confuses me

So, from your point of view, if you see on a topic 5 or 6 speakers who agree with you, then it means that the whole world thinks that she is too strong?
Sorry, but it doesn't work like that, does it?
I know survivors, who don't play killers, who have a hard time dealing with the nurse, and who don't have any problems with her addons.
The more time goes by, the more players would like everything to be easy, might as well remove Nurse and Blight, lower all killers to 75m/s, increase the fixing speed of generators by 250%, decrease the charge consumption of items by 500%, and allow survivors to have the passive ability to automatically stun the killer for 3 minutes when the latter hits them.
That’s not what I mean. What I do mean is that whenever one of these threads show up nurse mains seem to be the only ones trying to defend her. I don’t want the game to be easier in fact I want maps to be less survivor sided and objectives to become slower. What I don’t want is 2-3 killers to dominate over the rest, by nerfing them (mainly nurse) it will be easier then to balance the game
-
I just want the devs to acknowledge she’s too strong at this point. Literally no one but nurse mains actually defend her at this point.

Ok, against PC Trickster, because him is a meme killer with a controller. He is ridiculous on consoles.
Yeah like slinger or nurse controller makes him much worse to a point where he feels essentially useless
-
He’s has little punishment for missing and feels annoying to play against as survivor since your main counterplay is just high wall loops. It leads to 1 sided chases where either the survivor loops for ages or the survivor dies with no way to stop it

Man, this sounds so so familiar but I just can't place my finger on it...OH! I remembered, the entire M1 roster vs survivors who know how to loop with dead hard.
Difference is dead hard has been confirmed to be getting a nerf. Nurse on the other hand hasn’t
-
I’d like it. Give each survivor unique emotes and give each killer one too so both sides can BM

Wait, is that actually how it’s implemented?
Yep. It will prioritise the locked one every time if it’s 2 lockers together
-
People figured out that you only need to lock 1 of the lockers in a group of 2 to guarantee that the dredge goes into the locked one. It’s not too bad
-
Haddie is probably my favourite survivor since elodie’s release and is going to be one of my most played characters.
-
We’ll get most the info in probably 2 weeks time if they do a dev update.

true Vanessa was the S tier counselor, but a lot of ppl who liked to be stealthy and repair objectives played AJ a lot. I've seen a mix of a lot of Vanessa and AJ players and they were both popular for what they provided depending on your playstyle
It was still an issue imo since some counselors just weren’t good like Jenny or Deborah. AJ had her uses but so long as you were a competent player who wanted to win Vanessa was by far the best option
-
They already have stats from games without DH so I doubt they see a point in it
-
I don’t like the idea personally. If you’ve played F13th you’ll know basically everyone played Vanessa because her stats were the best for running Jason. The same would essentially happen in dbd
-
Any perk involving flashlights is kinda doomed to be weak unless flashlights are buffed. As an item type they are by far the worst (maybe keys now as well). Medkits and toolboxes are just more valuable
-
Clown’s main strength is his chase. Giving him more chase potential isn’t the way to go and doing that by restricting survivors options more than he already does isn’t any better. What we should do is make the antidote a better option and encourage clown players to make use of it
-
Clown needs to have a hell in the cell match with dredge to decide who keeps Maurice. The only true way we can decide

Then quit playing idk what else to tell you
I’m not going to quit because I dislike 1 killers design. I still enjoy the game but I dislike how bhvr has been designing a lot of more recent killers.
-
Try to make any sense of the hag’s lore. If you can you deserve a medal
-
He’s basically just another artist to me. You just hold W away from every loop once he puts his portal down
-
@Obelt said:

He moves as fast as nurse when using remanent so your faster then him just leave the loop and go to the next nearest loop congrats youve hard countered dredge
Yes but that’s not engaging or good design that’s the issue
-
Nightfall isn’t too bad when you have knowledge of maps and where loops spawn. The main issue is his remanent making loops unplayable basically
-
There’s no infinites on dead dawg and most the pallets are awful. That alongside its small side makes it pretty killer sided so long as you let the high up gens go early
-
Honestly I just find him boring. Basically artist 2.0 where you just run away from every loop once he puts his portal down
-
Artist 2.0 basically. Just leave the loop and hold W every time he places a remanent
-
Just run DS 4head /s
