Nah. Ill blame the ones who made any and all of this possible, as well as the only ones who can do ANYTHING about it: BHVR.

I understand and agree with this. And hot take I suppose, but I am just so confused why Blight is still complained about. Repetition of a killer, yeah I get. Is that the big gripe? Is he considered OP still, because lol, no, no he isn't. (imo)

-And Trapper / More Trapper player. <3
but I am just so confused why Blight is still complained about
That's easy, most survivors don't know how to play against Blight.
Against most killers hold W is all you need to do and you will get usually decent chase, but that's one thing that doesn't really work against Blight…
My favorite killers to chase against are Wesker, Blight and Billy. Against those it's not just hold W around the map, you actually have to play loops and there is high skill expression for both sides in those chases imo.

Where he would be a noob stomper, any competent survivor will just notice it and immediately go the other way. Rendering the pallets completely useless. Besides a lot of maps have almost 0 locations for him to use pallets on, leaving him with only his silly projectile which I find a lot less interesting. They need to either make more fake pallet locations available so it can be used as a mapwide trap, or make a BIG update to the "Learn to Play" section so noob stomping becomes a lot less common
Where he would be a noob stomper, any competent survivor will just notice it and immediately go the other way.
He would be noob stomper IF you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
As SWF I can make a call out where is real pallet, where are dropped pallets. SoloQ has no way of knowing without using 1 specific perk. That's why and I don't consider that a good thing.
Killer that is strong against soloQ by default is going to be weaker overall in the end to balance kill rates…
Besides a lot of maps have almost 0 locations for him to use pallets on
He can replace dropped pallets, so it's more of a late game thing.
eaving him with only his silly projectile which I find a lot less interesting
idk I quite like it, very good with Rapid Brutality
"Learn to Play" section so noob stomping becomes a lot less common
I mean, better tutorial should be a thing, but there are simply mechanics where soloQ is going to be always worse with lack of information. It's not really about skill at that point…

No, it isn't. I definitely would not want to be in this game though.
Killers can't be reported for exploiting BHVR's bad map design, anymore than survivors could be for making themselves unhookable.
I disagree with @PetTheDoggo on who can be reported, this got covered back in the Chess Merchant days. Survivors aren't obligated to rush into a defended 3 gen, just like the killer is not required to leave it. I'd post the comment from then, but this forum feels impossible to search.
Survivors aren't obligated to rush into a defended 3 gen
I am not saying if you keep prerunning and healing, or waiting around is bannable.
But if whole group decide to go hide for rest of the game instead of trying to win or giving up, that would be holding the killer hostage.

Funny thing is, if you dont try to push Gens and just wait (hide), you are the one who can get reported for it…
So technically the Kate could get reported then?
She never touched a Generator was too afraid to get close for most of the time. I was the only one actively doing Generators near the end.
It's kinda grey zone, if 1, or 2 players decides to hide with hope for hatch, they won't really get banned for it.
You would need to basically have group of people doing it from start clearly not trying to play the game.
Hiding is technically reportable offense, but just waiting for hatch is not going to be enough in most cases.
-
It's not, you are free to end the game at any point. Just work on the gen in front of her. It's up to you if you want to try break 3-gen, or give up. It's easier than ever before, but still hard for soloQ.
Funny is if you don't try to push gens and just wait(hide), you are the one, who can get reported for it…

I mean, BHVR support team is going to have a lot of fun now, so maybe that will get them to show it by default…

Well, if you want to know every loss is on you and not because survivors brought something better, or just bad RNG, you are going to play strong killers…
Sadly most killers are not difficult enough to be even remotely close to Blight/Nurse in potencial power level, because their stats would be simply too high.
I really wanted to play Chucky lately, but oh well, survivors didn't like him so Blight it is…

Not really, charts seem about the same as last years…
I wish DBD was more noob friendly, but that's unlikely to change. It will get only worse with every new chapter.

In this hypothetical mechanic, there would be a decent amount of time to reach before being able to recover, time which the Killer should use to hook. Maybe multiple conditions can trigger the mechanic etc.
And quite frankly, if you manage to down an entire team at once as Oni, then they are either greatly outmatched or you have 1000 ping, either way they aren't making a comeback.
Also, those are basic ideas, building upon them and then hoping that said ideas are implemented in a healthy way is the goal.
Side-note: If you would purposefully let 3 people bleedout for 4 minutes while chasing 1 Survivor but keeping him up out of spite, then you are part of the problem that this thread (and countless others since the ill-thought-out Finisher Mori was implemented) are desperately trying to solve.
either way they aren't making a comeback.
so instead of going next maybe for better team, I am going to keep torturing some babies…

Here are a few ideas;
1: The Survivors can pick themselves up under certain conditions such as;
- Only two Survivors remain.
- All remaining Survivors are slugged.
- A Survivor is slugged for 60 seconds and no teammates are within 20 meters (a distance that cannot be realistically covered for potential saves, preventing lose-lose situations for the Killer like in that horrid PTB).
Managing to get up using one of these methods (not in general) would grant a brief Endurance period (to prevent Killers from simply standing over a slug and down them instantly) akin to an unhook.
2: If all Survivors are slugged or if only 2 Survivors remain and one is slugged for more than 15 seconds, the slugged Survivor(s) can choose to instantly bleedout. These deaths would count as bleedout deaths (low bp, no hook actions) for emblem, challenges and pipping purposes.
All remaining Survivors are slugged.
Doesn't really have good implication. What if I manage to slug three survivors as Oni and chase last one? I should just follow them until everyone else bleed out?

I'm not saying I can't lol
I'm saying newer players from what I've seen pretty consistently do it a little too earlySo they shouldn't learn how to do it properly?
They need to do anything except using it early, not difficult…
Instead of making it easy, they could put some effort and simply practice a bit in custom?
-
I am disappointed that there are is not base BP bonus for both sides….
Events usually have 100% BP bonus default, no?
-
MMR is not a reward, quite the opposite.
You don't get BP for it, or any other reward. You can't even see it.
Games just get harder, so if you don't like something, then it should give more MMR instead, no?
-
Window is already bigger, because you can still get the save even if you are late unless killer was right on the edge.
Just git gud

I think Hens was playing with it a lot and had some videos, but it is simply fun and kinda unique…
You just have to hope you won't meet Plague, Legion, or just hit&run killer.

Shes so easy to go against. I think you need more practice against her. There are so many counters against her its not even funny. With all due respect. Skill issue.
Mind writing a list for me and some other survivors willing to learn?
I have not really played against her much, because she wasn't in event… So might be good to know, when I play against her.

Pretty sure, its based on location, not MMR.
If it was, then we could backwards engineer and figure out who was in the same MMR groups
I have +25% on Survivor in Northern Europe rn.
Last months 21:00-00:00 on EU servers is usually +25% on survivors, yet killer queue times are way faster.
But we often see with my friend different bonuses when we play surivvors and join based on it. We are all central Europe.
then we could backwards engineer and figure out who was in the same MMR groups
sure, but you still don't know what group is that… So it is kinda useless information. Also several MMR groups will have same bonus, there is not that many options.

It's also to hide the killers direction where he's going immediately after a hook. That way you cant just look at the person getting hooked and know where he's going innediateltly after.
Doesn't really make sense to create Kindred in first place then.
Why create perk to show exact information you want to hide? So I doubt that is the reason for it…. -
Well, it's not really strong until you manage to hook all survivors, which is not that easy trigger.
Individual hooks have low impact.

Not really, it would be worse even for survivors.
If you use it? Your queue times will increase and they are already not that low during evening hours...
If you don't use it? You will basically get to play only against the most "banned" killers → so Nurse/ Blight.
not have enough players lately
Kinda funny to say when every evening I have to deal with 3+ minutes queue time on survivors.

Hypocrisy? Last I checked killers have those same exact perks. And simple math will tell us why WoO has a higher pick rate. Because there's 4 survivors to 1 killer, it has 4 times the odds of being picked. Also the fact that you're comparing a perk that finds pallets and windows.. to a perk that literally tells killers where survivors are with zero cooldown and a 24 meter radius around you is insane.
That's like giving a survivor a perk that let you see the killer every time you vaulted a window or worked on a gen for 5 seconds. They aren't even remotely the same. Also, where's the survivor version of Lethal?
"When will you have post about survivors using WoO instead of learning window/pallet spawns?" - Tiles are randomly generated, pallets can be used without your knowledge by other teammates, dead zones are a thing. Clearly you've never played survivor before if you think Windows of Opportunity is an issue.Hypocrisy? Last I checked killers have those same exact perks.
Yeah, but you are the one complaining about it… As you said, both sides have same exact perks.
And simple math will tell us why WoO has a higher pick rate. Because there's 4 survivors to 1 killer, it has 4 times the odds of being picked.
You don't know how % works, do you? Funny to say "simple math".
Also the fact that you're comparing a perk that finds pallets and windows.. to a perk that literally tells killers where survivors are with zero cooldown and a 24 meter radius around you is insane.
Not really, each side use perks to find what they need/want. Killer needs to find survivors, survivors need to find resources to chase for longer period of time.
zero cooldown
Not really true, it's not like you can kick ANY gen. You also can't kick it infinite number of times. You are acting as killer can activate it at any time and any place, which is simply not true.
Also, where's the survivor version of Lethal?
Depends which effect you want, either Eyes of Belmont or Poised.
Tiles are randomly generated, pallets can be used without your knowledge by other teammates, dead zones are a thing.
Tiles are not fully random, there is system in it. You also have many guaranteed spawns for both pallets and windows. It's not like it is impossible to play without WoO, I personally enjoy playing survivors more without it.
Clearly you've never played survivor before if you think Windows of Opportunity is an issue.
I never said it is an issue, I just find it amusing survivors complain about information perks while having information perk with highest pick rate from all perks in dbd.
Some survivors simply don't need to get their chase guided by perk…
-
I would like to see that, but with specific triggers like too long game, holding hostage, refuse to leave, bleeding out etc.
Definetly not something you can use in every game. Then I would increase DC penalties a lot…
-
What exactly has this to do with "great again", when this was never a thing? nor should be
This would simply make the game worse for everyone.
-
Just for info, is anyone here NOT from EU servers with this issue?
-
I have created bug report on this on 11 November, still under review…

Survivor queue times: 2-3 minutes
Yet the incentive is 25% for survivors.https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/67AQ44OVPOR0/bez-n-c3-a1zvu.png

This is the issue here. The game shouldnt revolve around a constant chase so long as stealth perks exist. Killers having aura reading for literally everything instead of actually learning how to track and follow blood pools, scratch marks, crows and noises has been the downfall of this game.
Survivors have perks to find windows, pallets, totems, gens, killer, other survivors. I smell hypocrisy here…
Just so I am ready, when will you have post about survivors using WoO instead of learning window/pallet spawns?
WoO has pick rate +/- 33%, highest killer information perks are Lethal and BBQ with 15%. That's less than half…

Provided there is a scourge hook nearby, it would certainly help Oni's early game if he can get it first hook.
Floods of rage, Jagged Compass, Gift of Pain, Leverage
Then you can use any hook you want… not his best build, but fun
My best builds would be:- Unforseen, Nowhere to hide, Lethal, Eruption (this is very good and easy to play build)
- Corrupt, Pain res, Coup, Infectious Fright (I think this is best, if you have good game sense)
-
Well, only survivors who want to hide have an issue with information perks. If you used your time to gain distance instead of hiding, Nowhere to hide wouldn't do anything, but when you are waiting behind a rock, then it is free hit for the killer…
Like you cant find survivors so you use the perk and it plays the game for you
Yeah, it reminds me one of survivor perks. Not like either of them needs a nerf, they are not broken.
-
@Rudjohns said:
Chucky is last, sure, but Vecna is in first. Sure he needs nerfs, right?
Also, Skull Merchant is ahead of Spirit. Sure she is stronger than Spirit, right?
Nightlight stats mean nothing
Low kill rate can simply mean killer is difficult to play.
High killrate can simply be, because they are soloQ/noob stomper. Or killer is easier to play as than against, which was the case for skully.
Well, some survivors liked to claim Chucky is very easy killer to play as and near impossible for soloQ to win against, so what can be a reason for low kill rates? It's because killer with low map pressure got his chase nerfed…
-
I don't know if I'm just not good against this killer
You can't expect to be good, when you play like 1 in 1000 games against this killer, unless you go play Twins yourself, then you can copy things survivors did, when you lost a game.
This advice works for any killer, if you want to learn how to play against a specific killer, just learn to play as them. I struggled a lot against Blight in past, so I just went to learn him and I really enjoy playing against him now, because I know his limitations.
The game I last played had 1 gen done a 4 hooks, which seems a bit unbalanced.
Doesn't really mean anything, can be done with with most killers. Especially with killers, who most survivors simply don't understand.
What to do against Twins:
- if you are far enough from Charlotte, just hide in locker
- when Victor is on you, don't even try to crush him unless different survivor gets to chase
- when Victor is behind you, try to find some small object like tree/barrel to hide behind
- always try to heal, you don't want to have multiple survivors injured against Twins (they will snowball with slugging)
- Idle Victor is not going to detect you, if you crouch and go to crush him
- WGLF is an amazing perk, which can destroy Twins
-
It's wild they nerfed him so much in a bugfix patch without any testing.

That's a lie. You are playing Dead by Daylight, so self-respect is not possible.
-
I would understand if they wanted to take hits for additional BP, but the kind that waits and just leave when you get nearby is annoying for sure.

Ok and where is the enjoyment using aura perks to find survivors for you? Why cant you find them yourself? same conscept.
WoO makes chase kinda brainless, most killer aura reading simply get you to start a chase.
Chase is personally what I enjoy most, not really looking for rats. I think going full information build on killers is most fun for both sides, but just my opinion…
Closest thing to WoO on killer side would be using Predator on Nurse. I have played that few games and it was really boring…
I don't really think WoO needs a nerf or anything, but it makes game less fun at least for me.
-
I have used WoO for few years simply to learn maps, but I took it out for a challenge few months ago and kinda never put it back, because I enjoy playing survivors a lot more without it.
I simply feel better whenever I get long chase now, kinda anyone can do it with WoO + Lithe/SB… -

Thinking and knowing is very different…
You really think those killers won't use exactly same builds and just go to stomp soloQ? Little bit naive, no?
This would make the game worse for everyone imo. There are definetly better things to do for soloQ.
